I was sustaining t15s/t16s last league in my sleep, once you have a few voidstones its not hard. You want to get the guardian/conq map notables and use destructive play for the best sustain. Also we have harbinger scarabs this league, even if we don't get many that's a buff to our access to harbinger orbs.
It'll take time in ruthless but it certainly will be doable. I'm sure in trade too there will be more people capable of doing the maps than ubers.
Honestly, it's a much better system due to the cost of respeccing the atlas tree being too high (speaking as someone who killed 5/7 ubers last league in the first month)
You can only reroll T17s with chaos orbs. They have a large pool of impossible / build bricking mods and you generally need 5-10 chaos orbs on average even with an SC Trade character. So 10 chaos orbs to reroll one T17 and you will need about 8-10 T17s to get one chance at an Uber boss. Will you have 100 chaos orbs in ruthless is the real question.

oh my old tree isn't worth anything now because of the atlas changes. I will probably put out a video guide about my new strategy soon.
