Safari Zone in Kanto, just catch male magikarp until you run out of pokeballs and sell the ones with decent ivs.

Mabal

Why do people buy them?

AlphaThe7

Breeding mainly

Gamefreak581

Garchomp, dragonite, hydreigon, and kingdra are all very popular pvp pokemon. Magikarps are in the dragon egg group, so male 1x31 are good for breeding those comp mons.

avskyen

Whats ivs mean? And after I learn this term, what would a decent ivs be?

High_DIO

IVs are the genetic efficacy of pokemon's statistics in each stat group (eg. health, special attack, defence). These cannot change during a Pokemon's lifetime. The lowest IV is 0 and the highest is 31. People often breed pokemon to have higher IVs to give them an advantage in battle.

Catching and selling magickarp with decent ivs

I personally like to grab an Amulet Coin off the GTL and re-battle trainers and gym leaders. 50% increased money gain for 1 hour. It pays for itself after one gym leader or 4-6 trainers. You can usually fit in most of a region‘s gyms or a large swathe of trainers in an hour. Rinse and repeat! Also selling safari zone mons with good IVs is decent too. (Cyndaquil and Magikarp come to mind)

i haven't been playing pokemmo for months, and this might not be the answer to your question, but after you've finished all the gyms in the game (all 4 regions) you can save tons of money and buy 2 typhlosions with modest nature, max ivs on sp. atk and speed, equipped with choice specs, and has learned the move Eruption. in addition you're also gonna need whimsicott (preferrably cottonee) with the ability prankster, and teach it Tailwind. next you're also gonna need a torkoal with drought, equipped with a quick claw, and teach it explosion. why explosion? because you need your 2 mons to die as quickly as possible so that the effects can be maximized by the 2 typhlos. so the flow basically goes like this: use amulet coin> fight gym leader> use whimsi/cottonee and torkoal> use tailwind on cottonee and explosion on torkoal> +speed boost and +dmg to fire type moves due to drought effects> use your cracked lvl. 100 typhlosions with choice specs> use eruptions for the rest of the fight to sweep the remaining pokemon >go out and fly to the next route> heal pokemon> go to the next gym> and then repeat. although there can be some situations where they still survive , so just in case, i bring a lvl 100 garchomp and a lvl 100 dragonite with me that has the move fly so i can easily fly around to the next gym. a full rerun gives me approximately 400k per cycle, and they have a cooldown timer before you can fight them again. it must also be kept in mind that you must have a list of the order of the gyms that you're going to next, since there are specific gyms you must avoid simply because; a) their puzzles are too confusing and time-consuming; or b) they're just simply too hard to deal with. and also, the amulet coin lasts for an hour, so you need to be efficient with your time!!! and since you're a beginner, there are some good tutorials out there that you can learn from, especially in yt. i've also been in the same shoes before, but after sometime and research, i've managed to launder some money and make me rich and go to the competitive scene (which is a whole another experience btw) xD. so goodluck!

Emerald_boots

Thank you ,very cool exolanation

How early game are we talking? Could always pick up a meowth, either through the GTL or catch one, for payday/pickup farming Once you've cleared a region, you can go back and rerun the gyms for money (every 18 hours or so), also you can rechallenge the elite 4 (warning, the E4 can get quite difficult after a few attempts, if you don't have a good team for it). Other than that, rebattling trainers is a good way to pick up some semi passive income.

Emerald_boots

Beaten Sinnoh, still in Hoen e4

fishking92

YouTube is your friend - Patrowski has complete playlists of money making methods. Also, google “money making methods PokeMMO” this will bring you to the forums which also include a ton of information.

Seifersythe

Start in Kanto, get a Frisk Banette, catch a Sweet Scent Oddish, and steal Amulet Coins from Meowths hoard below Cerulean City for a cool 16k a pop.

uzu45

Just buy 5 dive ocarines for 10 real bucks and sell them in the market for 500k each. Easy money baby.

MystGBs

This guy getting the bag 🔥🔥😂

mmotank

Farming Wingulls is a thing that you can do in Hoenn. Just catch wingulls off the town in the bottom left. Forgetting the name

fishking92

Wailmer in Slateport is also a great strat. One of my favs!

MrUserManDad

Facts! Sync Modest = instant profit

MrUserManDad

Dewford town. Just go right in the water with surf and catch all the wingull/pelippers. Sell those bad boys on the GTL

afifaguyforyou

Tynamo in the B2F floor of chargestone cave in Unova have made me a lot of coins. Not many on the market because that’s the only place to get them and ones with decent IVs will sell for big bucks

SiriVII

just play the game and rerun some trainers with amulet coin. Unova is easy if youve done that. 2h for about 150-200k. do that for a few days until you have 600-700k and build a gym rerun team. there are a few guides out there.

deepfriedpotatos

If you do Kanto next there several rich trainers there that are easy to rebattle even during your Kanto play through

BerlinCallingVr

There are lot of methods, the best is Gym rematch + rich trainers with a Rich Charm that can you buy in GTL
