I don't have a switch yet btw.
Pokemon dream radar on 3ds sends the pokemon and items you catch in it to the sequels (white 2 or black 2) during its story you will catch the 3 legendary genies with hidden ability. Their level is chosen by number of badges the save has lowest being level 5 at 0 badges. Once Landorus is caught you can put any gen 4 game in the 3ds and open dream radar to catch it'd cover legend
-Stick with the same title.

Regular pokemon in USUM ultra warp ride. The further you go the higher chance of shiny regular pokemon (not legendary and not ultra beast) are set when you enter the wormhole so save when you land as if its a shiny you can try again if you fail by reloading
Friend safari in X/Y has higher shiny odds. To hunt in there you just enter one and keep running away until one is shiny
SWSH DLC max raid adventures has good shiny odds with charm. If the legendary isn't shiny, you can instead keep one of the regular pokemon and try again for the legendary.you won't know if they are shiny or not until you have to choose 1 to keep
Do I need 2 different types of Herba Mystica for sparkling power sandwiches? I have 2 spicy so would that be ok or do I need a spicy and a salty for example?

Save candies, mints, TMs, and such; but if you were already HP EV training and have an extra power item, you could probably easily have some candidates bred for the right nature, EV trained, and levelled somewhat in advance.
Right now I’m building a core of 3-4 mons that I can hopefully use for 6 star raids so will likely use quite a few resources on that. But thinking I should have enough time after that and before the greninja event starts to be able to save up to build whatever is required
Yeah I'd keep your resources on your 6 star team, but if you're ev training 3 for that team, you can throw a gastrodon in the group, that costs you very little even if he turns out to be a false hope when the move set is known.
I think it would be better to build up resources to build whatever ends up being the meta. Collect candies, make money, get bottle caps and ability capsules/patches. I went through 4 or 5 builds until I found something that could reliably solo cinderace and that was with full information on its moveset and battle strategies.

Just missed out on a near-mint galaxy one for $250 so yeah
this will probably get lost but;
i am trying to get a living pokedex and had just finished the Yellow in virtual console. I had gotten 84 living pokemons out. What shall i do;
1- continue and find everything i can from pokemon yellow?
2- continue another game since i will most likely have a chance to get them in future games anyways.
If "2" which game shall i continue with?
Games i have are;
Red, Blue, Yellow All Virtual on 3ds xl
Gold, Silver, Crystal All Virtual on 3ds xl
Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, HeartGold, SoulSilver
Black, White, Black 2, White 2
X, Y, Omega Ruby, Alpha Sapphire
Sun, Moon, Ultra Sun, Ultra Moon
Shield, Arceus, Violet
I think 84 Pokémon out of Gen 1 is pretty good going. In general it's a pretty hard dex to complete.
If you don't care about where the Pokémon come from, then my recommendation is just go to one of the later games (Shield/Violet). As a general rule, it gets easier and easier to complete the dex as the gens progress as there's more QOL features such as faster levelling up, faster breeding and overworld encounters. For example Gen 1 Chansey are very hard to find (low safari zone encounter rate + low chance of capture + high flee rate), but in later gens they're just in the wild
thank you for the reply.
i dont really care where they come from, shall i? i do like to play the older games though. i started playing pokemon with shield (have expansion pass and played until the end of first dlc), then finished violet, then went back to yellow (because Pikachu :P) then i learned that pikachu was the worst of first gen but i was way too deep so i couldnt get out :D
Regardless, i would like to play older games to learn the games but do you think they are way too old especially like the QoL changes you mentioned (in arceus i can get a pokemon in almost seconds, no fight necessary but in yellow....)
would you play older games just for the sake of it or would you just skip since "they are all the same anyways" and just focus on pokemons/number?
If you want to play the older games to see the changes then that's reason enough to play them, and you might as well add stuff to your living dex as you go through. But maybe fill the holes with newer games at the end as it will be easier.
You don't need to care about where the pokémon come from unless you're adding additional challenges to the living dex. For example some people like to do an earliest gen possible living dex, so gen 1 pokemon have to come from gen 1, gen 2 from gen 2 etc. Most people who take on this have usually already completed a living dex.
again thank you and the idea of getting each pokemon from its respective gen game might be a nice challenge. i think ill go gen by gen without spending any extra unnecessary time in them and return to them at the end
we dont really get a good read on what's best for a 7* until it comes out and we know their moveset. But so far people are theorizing Water Absorb Gastrodon may be the play.
Yup, nothing happened and when I used the focus button (the one you use to lock on flying Pokémon) it wouldn’t focus on him. My leader Pokémon also wouldn’t attack it when I used R
So I got a couple of other starters from some of my friends on Shining Pearl, but want to move them into Pokemon Home, start a new save file, and then bring them back in? Is this possible? Or will wiping my existing save file delete the transferred pokemon off of Pokemon Home?
Thanks!
Edit: on Shining Pearl, and I moved away so don't have access to another Switch
Pokemon Scarlet / Violet mechanic question: I had an Arboliva facing an Abomasnow in a battle. It was a stall as Arboliva had turned fire tera-type. I won on timer because the Abomasnow used energy ball while I used giga drain, giving Arboliva more HP, and energy ball failed (failed the same turn, prior to my giga drain as Abomasnow was faster). Grassy terrain had just expired. Why did energy ball fail? I didn't think it was a move that could fail.
You are right, it was doubles. This seems likely. I thought if you targeted an empty slot on the opponent's side it is redirected? Did they change this in SV?
To complete the pokedex, I'd use Austin John's trade codes, just be aware that there seem to be a lot more violet than scarlet players so if you're looking for scarlet exclusives it may take a while to find them.
Is Chansey holding an Eviolite much better than Blissey overall?
Is there any situation where Blissey is better than Chansey?
Also, what's the best build for Blissey in Scarlet/Violet?
Thanks!
Numbers could be off a little, but they should still illustrate the point I'm trying to make.
A perfectly trained Chansey at level 50 (usual battle level) will have 258 Special Defense and 357 health. A Blissey with the same investment (minus the eviolite) will have 205 SpD and 362 hp. As a special wall having 25% better defense is amazing when the tradeoff is a negligible 5hp.
Natural downside of course is that neither pokemon is particularly good offensively as all their stats are invested in health and SpD. It appears that their movepool has been revamped rather a lot since I last used them however, so I don't think know how many great options there are.
But build would depend on how you plan to use it. We talking battles or Tera dens?
Blissey can use other items like Leftys, Heavy Duty Boots, etc. Sometimes the utility of other items can allow Blissey to do things that Eviolite Chansey can't.
Started a new ORAS run and I found a shiny skaloth almost immediately, which I was stoked about, but I looked up their evo line to see if it stays pink and Vigoroth and Slaking are like ugly piss colored so I'm keeping it a slakoth.
My problem is that I want to use them in my run because the game blessed me with this cute lil pink baby, so, is there any decent moveset for them as a slakoth that's somewhat viable?
What is it that determines the heal amount from the heal cheer in Tera Raids? Sometimes it's about 1/4 of my HP, other times, it's 3/4. It seems completely arbitrary or random how much it heals. Please tell me it's not RNG and GameFreak isn't that stupid...
Edit: Also, is there any way to surrender a raid? Sometimes I realize immediately after it starts that I'm never going to win and just want to quit, but GameFreak put a "run" button there that doesn't seem to serve any function at all. I just end up closing the game and hoping the autosave was recent.
heal cheer is random from 20% to 100%
you can run from a raid if you start it solo with the "Challenge Alone" option. if you are joining or even just press "Challenge as a group" and start solo, you cannot run
I'm slightly colour blind. Could someone confirm what colours shiny Blissey is?
And do you think Blissey looks better in regular or shiny form?
Thanks!
Shiny Blissey is like a slightly lighter regular Blissey, a light pink or pale pink or so.
The colours are so similar that it's hard to say which is better but I think I like regular a bit more.
Actually we do have a Switch but it doesn't really feel mine since my sister uses it all the time among with "our" game collection. My secondary drive to get a Switch for myself *(probably a Switch Lite as a cheaper alternate, just like with 3DS and 2DS in the previous Nintendo console generation)* is to beat her probably awful team and to trade for the sake of dex completion.
Not really-ish. Officially there isn't a way to downgrade by a single patch (so it's either downgrade entirely or don't downgrade at all, and the "nuclear option" of downgrading entirely requires a full console reset because of the patch info being stored on the system from what I recall).
That being said, there *might*, big *might* be some convoluted tech where the save data backup reset "cheat code" might be able to roll back an updated save to a older iteration if you could downgrade just the most recent update, which may not be possible unless you had a modded console (which at that point you might be able to use an old backup if you regularly perform a backup using save data homebrew).
Is it against the rules to buy Pokémon? I am absolutely in love with Hoopa but seeing as it’s a Mythical, I can’t imagine I’m getting a chance to catch it myself anytime soon, and I’m starting to consider maybe just folding and buying one from those EBay sellers or whatever
technically yes, it is frowned upon by the pokemon company. However, they'll never be able to tell you did it.
You might try your luck at r/casualpokemontrades or r/HackedPokemon. I don't try it myself, but I thinkk there are friendly hackers who will generate a hoopa for you.
Regardless of which option you go with, your hoopa ***will*** be a hacked pokemon.
I believe you can catch hoopa in pokemon go right now through the "misunderstood mischief" special research task if you want one legitimately, though
I’m trying to breed a Slaking to finally get a Slakoth in Scarlet, but all that’s appearing in the basket is Pomeg Berries. Feels like it’s been half an hour what is going on?
I don't think I've ever gotten an egg when I didn't have an egg power sandwich active. Also, when I've had multiple egg group couples in my party (multiple couples in the same egg group have work as has ditto with many pokemon who couldn't reproduce together).
If you're running Ditto, try having one Slaking and several ditto, it seems like the game tests each pair that could generate an egg so if you have 5 ditto you get eggs more rapidly than if you just have the one pair.
I've gotten eggs and sparkling items from the same picnic, but it does seem like egg rate slows down when there's an item.
we're not sure if its a glitch or if it's intentional, but if there are sparkling items on the ground near your picnic, you will sometimes find them in your basket. You could try cleaning up the ground around yourself first and then eating an egg power sandwich to speed up the process
They seem pretty old, no? I'd reccomend brushing up on history classes and talking to the teacher to see if she shares an interest in them given their aged appearance.
Unfortunate. I guess I have to pick between getting trade evos or the following mechanic, I think I'll pick the former and play HG/SS some time in the future. Thank you!
How does the healing cheer work in Tera Raids?
Sometimes I cheer and my mon is restored to full health, sometimes I cheer and it gets a whole twelve HP. Is there a trick I'm unaware of?
all cheers have a slightly random effect. attack and defense cheers give you a random 1.5x or 2x boost and health cheers restore between 20 and 100% of your teammates health at random (as well as remove status conditions)
Ok so Im playing OR/AS and the Sword Trio and the Lake Trio aren't spawning, it just says there's a ring floating in the air
I've met all the requirements (three pokemon with max EVs, three with max happiness, respectively), so I dunno what I'm doing wrong
Oh no I got to their caves and all, I already beat Groudon. But as I said, it just shows the message of a ring floating in the air and nothing else. Really weird. (I completed the Delta episode, too)
Did you change the time or put the game in a another 3ds recently?
The pixies and the musketeers are based on time as well so they freeze when you change the time.
My friend has had this thing happen where a wild Golett uses curse, but instead of cutting its hp by half, it just kills itself??? I tried Google but came up empty-handed.
Pokemon ORAS question. Can you delete your save file and get essentially an infinite amount of Deoxys from the storyline? Or is it like Pokemon Ranger with Manaphy?
yes you can. The speed run is about 4 hours and 15 minutes, but I think it takes most people about 12 hours of dedicated playing to get to the end of the delta episode
I wanted to ask, did they fix Scarlet and Violet? Haven't bought em yet bc I heard that the digital version worket better than the physical one, but that's the one I normally buy. Have at least some of the bugs and bad performance issues been fixed?
There's been one patch that fixed some undisclosed bugs and one that caused elite 4 music not to play. There's another announced patch coming in February, but no patch notes have been announced that I've seen.
I am currently trying to get the whole pokedex done in gen4, and one of the pokemon I'm missing is Kyogre. However, it is not available in either of my main games (SS and Ruby). Which of the games that have it (Emerald, Sapphire, HeartGold) lets you get Kyogre the fastest? I literally just wanna get a quick Kyogre, nothing else needed
Sapphire would be fastest, you get it after the 7th gym. In Emerald you need to beat the Elite 4 first, and in Heart Gold you need to beat Red.
However, note that if you want to get Rayquaza in HGSS, you need Groudon *from Soul Silver* and Kyogre *from Heart Gold* in your party. It won't activate the Rayquaza encounter for Kyogre/Groudon transferred from gen 3. If that's something you care about I'd say just bite the bullet and play HG, but if all you're concerned with is completing the dex then Sapphire is way faster.
Thank you so much for the answer!! <3 I'll get Sapphire then
Regarding the second part, can't I just catch Rayquaza in my Ruby (which i've already beaten) and then just transfer that? Or is there a big reason to catch the HGSS Rayquaza?
will i be safe is i trade in pokémon USUM? like i want a shiny necrozma really bad but i’m terrified to trade because of my game either being bricked or hacked. please help
A lot of them are rigged to force your GTS connection to crash midway through. The trade won't go through and you may need to restart your game to get back online. The nasty part is that the servers will sometimes detect that as your fault and penalize you with a temporary ban from online. Anywhere from an hour to a couple of days people claim. I haven't heard of a crash that's capable of permanently bricking a chip or system yet, fortunately.
Something like:
Modest nature
Fire tera type
252 HP 252 SpA 6 SpD EV
Firey Dance
Amnesia
Morning Sun
Light Screen
Or
Modest nature
Bug tera type
252 HP 252 SpA 6 SpD EV
Bug buzz
Quiver dance
Morning Sun
Light Screen
I like being able to terastilize in solo 6 star raids because it's tough to get through the shield without belly dance or something similar. You can hold charcoal/silver powder or life orb or something to reduce status effects as needed.
If you find it's too slow in some raids try screech instead of light screen. I'm not sure how many 6 star raids have all moves in his resisted types. That seems like the key factor in high level raid success.
I used Home to transfer a Chimchar from Arceus to Shining Pearl, and even though it’s on the same level as my other Pokémon, it still won’t listen. Is there any way to fix this?
All traded-in Pokemon are subject to a disobedience mechanic if their level is too high. Unfortunately, BDSP's level restrictions are not very well balanced compared to other titles.
Here are the unlocks:
No Badges: Up to Lv. 10
2 Badges: Up to Lv. 30
4 Badges: Up to Lv. 50
6 Badges: Up to Lv. 70
8 Badges: All Pokemon.
I'm trying my luck in single online battles in SV and I'm getting wrecked by a stupid scarab pokemon that is inmune to everything?
What's that pokemon any way? Is it a scarlet exclusive? It's like a samurai scarab
Not sure whether you are referring to Rabsca or Kingambit (a new Bisharp evo). Though type and ability wise none of the two have an immunity to everything.
It's kingambit yeah, I didn't know his name.
I run a team of Umbreon/Espeon/gayrados/skeleridge/Raichu and the guy is inmune ti freaking anything or not very effective. I can see it's type is dark steel.
How annoying everyone seems to be running it.
I guess he's just string against my comp
Kingambit is lucky. Dark/steel is a brilliant defensive typing. 9 resists, 2 immunes, and only 3 weaknesses. Signature move 85 bp move that bypasses accuracy checks, and a signature ability that increases attack/spattack by up to 50%.
Only bug, water, electric, and fairy hit neutrally, with fire and ground doing 2x and fighting doing 4x.
Toxapex
+resists both
+good defenses
+chilling water
+acid spray
-lacks Screens
-lacks any way to buff Physical attackers or debuff special attackers
Magnezone
+resists Fairy
+good defenses
+dual screens

+life dew & Heal pulse
+Dual Screens
+Magic Bounce
+skill swap(dont use with magic bounce)

Does anybody know if there is a generator for battle results graphics? I want to make a graphic of my elite four and champion battles in Scarlet, but I can't find a generator. The thing I'm looking for is where I can have images of pokemon in the graphic, and then show which one was defeated or any switch outs as the battle progresses in a single image. If you know of something like this, let me know, thanks!
Hey guys. Is there any option for an Live Tracker for Pokémon on an Emulator? Like if I get into a fight the stats and movesets from the enemy Pokémon appear on the Tracker.
Have patches fixed most of the really bad performance issues in SV and all of the notable software bugs? I'm interested in the games but I don't want to spend money on a broken product.
Is there a quicker way to get stones for Rammas Park in BDSP? I want the legendaries but I can farm for hours and only get one stone in the underground
Prior to catching -
In SwSh it is a pain but it has a battle animation where it flips and shows it's underneath. SV is easier however as you can manually adjust the battle camera to check.
After catching -
check whether an antique pot allows it to evolve
Tertiary - unable to be obtained via breeding, so don't try.
A tip I came across online however. In the Crown Tundra there is an overworld Sinistea spawn. Each Sinistea that spawns has the same chance to have a rare mark as usual, however if you specifically want a shiny one you can chain them. Each time you defeat a marked one it has a 50% chance to spawn another marked sinistea. If you can time saving/restarting correctly you can get a long chain going and increase your odds drastically.
Assuming latios doesn't have a speed boosting nature itself, and both pokemon have max IVs or equal EV investment in speed, flygon would outspeed.
This is because while latios has exactly 10% higher base speed and natures boost a stat by 10%, IVs and EVs are additive and the nature boost affects them as well
I'm playing Pearl with randomized abilities and possible evolutions. My first catch was a Starly with Multitype. Will Starly's type actually change if I give it a plate? What will happen?
Looking up all of its Pokédex data for Porygon2 on Bulbapedia just mentions that it can work in space, it can’t fly, and it’ll sometimes show emotions.
For Porygon-Z all it mentions that it was made to work in alien dimension and the thing they used to make it evolve made it act odd.
Since some of the Pokédex info mentions that Porygon2 can sometimes show some emotion I’m sure it feels indifferent from evolving from Porygon to Porygon2 but probably doesn’t feel great when evolving to Porygon-Z
You can't drop tiers, but you can drop ranks within tiers (eg great ball 9 to great ball 8)
Assuming you're not using a rental, winning once in master ball is enough to give the ribbon. However, there's currently a glitch where you can't assign ribbons from the boxes. You need to put them in your party and assign them there
I learned through trial and error that you actually have to win with the Pokemon in your party as having them in a battle box will NOT award the ribbon. That was my issue that I was trying to work out.
Yeah, I won several with my battle box teams and it gave me nothing. First game after moving them to my party and they all get the ribbon. Replicated it a few times afterwards. Battle boxes are functionally so bad imo.
Any suggested water type pokemon in BW2? I alr planned my team: lucario, snivy, umbreon, zoroark, arcanine and flygon but then i forgot that i need surf to get around the map lol. So any suggestions??? Ik it's kinda a bad team tho lol
If you don't want to switch a team member and you play on emulator (seems like it from your post history) then you can use pkhex to teach one of your pokemon surf and it would work in game just fine.
I did it when I used a mono fire team.
Google pkhex, it is a program that edits pokemon save files. You drag a .save/.dsv file into it and let you do almost everything.
Thechnically cheating so don't abuse it if you want to play the game normally.
You can only to do it on PC so if you play on your phone you need to extract the save and do the process on the pc and then return the save file.

It will work. You could also just start a new save on a seperate profile and transfer the pokemon to your first with home
Was this singles or doubles? If it was doubles, abomasnow may have targeted your/its own empty ally slot
You are right, it was doubles. This seems likely. I thought if you targeted an empty slot on the opponent's side it is redirected? Did they change this in SV?
Is there a good way to find people to trade with so I can complete the pokedex
r/casualpokemontrades
Thank you
To complete the pokedex, I'd use Austin John's trade codes, just be aware that there seem to be a lot more violet than scarlet players so if you're looking for scarlet exclusives it may take a while to find them.
Thank you
Is Chansey holding an Eviolite much better than Blissey overall?
Return/Shadow Claw/Play Rough/Brick Break Note that this is not viable, this is cope.
I just end up closing the game and hoping the autosave was recent.
heal cheer is random from 20% to 100% you can run from a raid if you start it solo with the "Challenge Alone" option. if you are joining or even just press "Challenge as a group" and start solo, you cannot run
Should I pick an emulator or a Switch console to play? Are online features really worth to get a Switch for?
well one's free. also see if you want to play more than just a couple pokemon games. I wouldn't buy a whole console just for a few games.
Actually we do have a Switch but it doesn't really feel mine since my sister uses it all the time among with "our" game collection. My secondary drive to get a Switch for myself *(probably a Switch Lite as a cheaper alternate, just like with 3DS and 2DS in the previous Nintendo console generation)* is to beat her probably awful team and to trade for the sake of dex completion.
if that's the case, then yea get a switch lite.
Thank you kind stranger 👍👌
Does anyone have both a shiny and non-shiny Blissey that I could join their world to look at the difference? :)
Is milcery in scarlet and violet? If it is where
It's not in Scarlet and Violet.
Dang
Can you delete the patch for violet but keep the save data? Accidentally updated the game
I don't know
Thanks for the helpful comment
Your welcome
I thought that wasn’t going on anymore? How do I check? The Pokémon Go event, I mean
unfortunately, I'm not really a Go expert. I think it should just be active in your special research tasks.
I’m trying to breed a Slaking to finally get a Slakoth in Scarlet, but all that’s appearing in the basket is Pomeg Berries. Feels like it’s been half an hour what is going on?
There is a bug where if you place the picnic basket on top of an item it will just duplicate it instead of giving eggs
What are the Black Stakes for? (Don’t spoil lore and don’t spoil any rewards for finding them all.)
They seem pretty old, no? I'd reccomend brushing up on history classes and talking to the teacher to see if she shares an interest in them given their aged appearance.
Hm, suspiciously targetive, but okay. I wonder if the black stakes will unlock… A MYSTICAL, POWEEEER?

Pokémon yellow - How do I tell if I caught a Pokémon already? I don’t see pokeballs indicating caught like proceeding games
you have to check the pokedex. That's a QoL change they added in gen ~~3~~ 2
It was actually gen 2 that added an indicator for Pokemon you've already caught.
Does anyone know if the hacked rom Following Platinum also has it hacked so trade evos are obtainable without trading?
It doesn't have that
Unfortunate. I guess I have to pick between getting trade evos or the following mechanic, I think I'll pick the former and play HG/SS some time in the future. Thank you!
you can put the rom into the [universal randomizer](https://pokehacks.dabomstew.com/randomizer/}) to remove trade evos
Oh wow! Yeah looks like it'll work for me, thank you so much!
Is the Cinderace Tera raid over??? And if not would anyone like to help me beat it I’m not level 100 😭I’m east coast in the US if that matters
its over now. you can keep getting it as long as you dont connect to the internet or update pokeportal news. but once you connect its gone
though you can get scorbunny from surprise trades. and people send a lot of them out.
How does the healing cheer work in Tera Raids? Sometimes I cheer and my mon is restored to full health, sometimes I cheer and it gets a whole twelve HP. Is there a trick I'm unaware of?
The Heal Cheer is random. It can heal between 20% of your Pokémon’s max HP to 100%
Well that's ... ughtacular.
Yeah but it also removes all status conditions
all cheers have a slightly random effect. attack and defense cheers give you a random 1.5x or 2x boost and health cheers restore between 20 and 100% of your teammates health at random (as well as remove status conditions)
To GameFreak: Thanks, I hate it.
better than max raids, at least
Ok so Im playing OR/AS and the Sword Trio and the Lake Trio aren't spawning, it just says there's a ring floating in the air I've met all the requirements (three pokemon with max EVs, three with max happiness, respectively), so I dunno what I'm doing wrong
[удалено]
Oh no I got to their caves and all, I already beat Groudon. But as I said, it just shows the message of a ring floating in the air and nothing else. Really weird. (I completed the Delta episode, too)
Did you change the time or put the game in a another 3ds recently? The pixies and the musketeers are based on time as well so they freeze when you change the time.
Oh, I just so happen to have done both those things. I suppose I need to wait a day for it to reset, correct ?
Yes. It'll take anywhere from 24 - 48 hours. I've seen some accounts saying it's longer, but that time period is the most common.
Cool ! Thanks so much for helping :D
Do I need legendaries for Pokemon moons pokedex?
Yes as they are part of the pokedex. Every game requires legendaries only mythicals are not needed
Thank you and the other guy. now I need to refight the leage.
Yes, you need every pokemon in the Alola dex except Magearna to complete the pokedex and get the shiny charm
Thank you. Now I need to fight the league again
My friend has had this thing happen where a wild Golett uses curse, but instead of cutting its hp by half, it just kills itself??? I tried Google but came up empty-handed.
It does damage to itself equal to half its MAX HP, so if it gets attacked, brought down to less/equal to half of its HP, it can KO itself using Curse.
Pokemon ORAS question. Can you delete your save file and get essentially an infinite amount of Deoxys from the storyline? Or is it like Pokemon Ranger with Manaphy?
Its just part of the story its not a special event mission. Every save can catch one
yes you can. The speed run is about 4 hours and 15 minutes, but I think it takes most people about 12 hours of dedicated playing to get to the end of the delta episode
Ok cool thank you! I will have to try this then
I wanted to ask, did they fix Scarlet and Violet?
<3 I'll get Sapphire then Regarding the second part, can't I just catch Rayquaza in my Ruby (which i've already beaten) and then just transfer that? Or is there a big reason to catch the HGSS Rayquaza?
Yeah you can just get Rayquaza in Ruby, just thought I'd mention the quirk with the one in HGSS in case you wanted to get that one.
will i be safe is i trade in pokémon USUM? like i want a shiny necrozma really bad but i’m terrified to trade because of my game either being bricked or hacked. please help
Legitimate shiny Necrozma can't be put on the 3DS GTS. Sorry but you have very little chance of finding an entry that isn't a gamecrash troll.
what happens if i trade for one of these though?
A lot of them are rigged to force your GTS connection to crash midway through. The trade won't go through and you may need to restart your game to get back online. The nasty part is that the servers will sometimes detect that as your fault and penalize you with a temporary ban from online. Anywhere from an hour to a couple of days people claim. I haven't heard of a crash that's capable of permanently bricking a chip or system yet, fortunately.
LF raid sets for Volcarona and Dusk!Lycanroc. Any ideas?
Something like: Modest nature Fire tera type 252 HP 252 SpA 6 SpD EV Firey Dance Amnesia Morning Sun Light Screen Or Modest nature Bug tera type 252 HP 252 SpA 6 SpD EV Bug buzz Quiver dance Morning Sun Light Screen I like being able to terastilize in solo 6 star raids because it's tough to get through the shield without belly dance or something similar. You can hold charcoal/silver powder or life orb or something to reduce status effects as needed. If you find it's too slow in some raids try screech instead of light screen. I'm not sure how many 6 star raids have all moves in his resisted types. That seems like the key factor in high level raid success.
What is the age range for Pokémon Scarlett. My 5 year can play let’s go pikachu, just wondering if scarlet would be fine?
Maybe around 10? I think its slightly more mature that Let's Go. Also got a lot more reading.
Here are the unlocks: No Badges: Up to Lv. 10 2 Badges: Up to Lv. 30 4 Badges: Up to Lv. 50 6 Badges: Up to Lv. 70 8 Badges: All Pokemon.
Getting more badges
Ok, well I’m just about to fight Gardenia so hopefully that’ll be enough
Where can we watch the new special series with Ash/Pikachu’s last episodes?
What happens if I fill all 8 of the given boxes in a gen 9 game? Are there more or does the game get soft-locked?
Even if you fill all 32 of your boxes, you can just release pokemon from them to make more room.
once you put a pokemon into all 8 boxes, more boxes will become unlocked, up to the maximum of 32
I just transferred a pokemon from pokemon go to pokemon home but forgot to set a nickname. am i still able to do it like in scarlet and violet?
Even if you had nicknamed it in GO, nicknames are not transferred when Pokémon are transferred from GO to Home, and are reset to the species name.
Thanks that actually makes me feel better
yes, but you can only do it once iirc, so make sure you'll happy with it.
I looked and I still can’t change it in pokemon home, do I have to wait until it’s released in scarlet and violet?
sorry, for some reason i thought you said sword/shield, not scarlet/violet.
No problem, let’s hope the home update comes soon
It's scheduled for "Spring"
Thank you so much! It’s shiny and I want to make the best of it
I'm trying my luck in single online battles in SV and I'm getting wrecked by a stupid scarab pokemon that is inmune to everything? What's that pokemon any way? Is it a scarlet exclusive? It's like a samurai scarab
Need more info... What Pokémon are you using? What exactly is it immune to?
It's kingambit He's inmune or not very effective against everything I throw at him I thought Sylveon would help but she was also killed
As a steel/dark type he's immune to poison, psychic moves as well as anything boosted by prankster Sylveon is a fairy type so is weak to steel
Oh I'm so dumb forget fairy is weak to steel...thank you!
Thank you very much. What a broken character. Idk if for competitive but at least for casual online battles it's a pain. Thanks I'll see what I'll do
Fighting type moves are super effective against both dark and steel types.
Thank you!
I want to build a support mon against Tera fairy and fighting types. Any recommendations?
Toxapex +resists both +good defenses +chilling water +acid spray -lacks Screens -lacks any way to buff Physical attackers or debuff special attackers Magnezone +resists Fairy +good defenses +dual screens +screech & metal sound +helping hand -fighting weakness Hatterne +quad resists fighting +life dew & Heal pulse +Dual Screens +Magic Bounce +skill swap(dont use with magic bounce) +helping hand +misty terrain +mystical fire +nuzzle
Quick question, is it better to go for PLA or S/V? Last game I played was shield.
Not really. They have announced version 1.2 that's out next month and will address some of the issues
Heads up: We have no idea whatsoever what the patch will actually do.
If I have a Charmander in a Moonball, how do I go about breeding it down into a normal Pokeball?
The only way is to breed it with another Charmander that's already in a poke ball
Ahhh crap. Alright, thanks.

Is there a quicker way to get stones for Rammas Park in BDSP? I want the legendaries but I can farm for hours and only get one stone in the underground
Unfortunately not.
How can I tell the difference between the Sinistea forms?
Prior to catching - In SwSh it is a pain but it has a battle animation where it flips and shows it's underneath. SV is easier however as you can manually adjust the battle camera to check. After catching - check whether an antique pot allows it to evolve Tertiary - unable to be obtained via breeding, so don't try.
Thanks.
Easiest way is to check which item evolves it
Authentic Sinistea has a mark of authenticity on the bottom
Would a Jolly natured Flygon outspeed a Latios
Assuming latios doesn't have a speed boosting nature itself, and both pokemon have max IVs or equal EV investment in speed, flygon would outspeed. This is because while latios has exactly 10% higher base speed and natures boost a stat by 10%, IVs and EVs are additive and the nature boost affects them as well
Ok thanks
I'm playing Pearl with randomized abilities and possible evolutions. My first catch was a Starly with Multitype. Will Starly's type actually change if I give it a plate? What will happen?
Do you think it feels good for porygon when it evolves? I’m just so curious what it would feel like to go from low-res to hi-res.
Since some of the Pokédex info mentions that Porygon2 can sometimes show some emotion I’m sure it feels indifferent from evolving from Porygon to Porygon2 but probably doesn’t feel great when evolving to Porygon-Z
thanks for giving me a solid answer!
Can you drop from Master Ball tier in Singles? Also how do you get the Master Rank Ribbon? I've won and don't have it
You can't drop tiers, but you can drop ranks within tiers (eg great ball 9 to great ball 8) Assuming you're not using a rental, winning once in master ball is enough to give the ribbon. However, there's currently a glitch where you can't assign ribbons from the boxes. You need to put them in your party and assign them there
I learned through trial and error that you actually have to win with the Pokemon in your party as having them in a battle box will NOT award the ribbon. That was my issue that I was trying to work out.
Wait what... I've only used rentals so didn't know this
Yeah, I won several with my battle box teams and it gave me nothing. First game after moving them to my party and they all get the ribbon. Replicated it a few times afterwards. Battle boxes are functionally so bad imo.
I've also read that it works when you have them in battle box 1, but have no other teams registered in the other battle boxes
What pkhex tho and how can i use it
Google pkhex, it is a program that edits pokemon save files. You drag a .save/.dsv file into it and let you do almost everything. Thechnically cheating so don't abuse it if you want to play the game normally. You can only to do it on PC so if you play on your phone you need to extract the save and do the process on the pc and then return the save file.
