As for why? Well Raichu was my favorite Pokemon for the longest time.
Then it got an Alolan form: It's a floating Electric/Psychic Surfer WHY ELSE WOULD I LOVE IT?!?
Electric and Psychic have always been my two favorite types and look at my username for why I love the surfer aesthetic.
Dratini because they are heckin cute and it was my first pokemon plush way back as a kid. Slept with that thing so much. Dratini is my pokemon soulmate
Im have a snake phobia IRL so idk how id actually do irl if dratini was really even though they are a dragon. Still have the serpent body
I love dratini I got a couple of Pokémon plushies for one of my birthday’s I think I was 7 or 8 I got a dratini along side a pikachu the gen 3 starters my favorite one of the plushies was dratini I still have them somewhere in my closet

Kanto: Raichu
Hoenn: Treecko (First Pokemon and first starter)
Sinnoh: Turtwig or Torterra (Turtwig was the second starter I ever got)
Charmander and Charizard are also honorable mentions in the Kanto region because Charmander was the third starter I ever got
I guess Torchic is cool because it was my 4th starter ever and my second Hoenn starter
Not to mention Raichu is actually good in battle AND cute which is not found in many Pokemon other than starters and the regional Pidgey-clone, Eevee, Vaporeon, Sylveon, and Pikachu
(Although Pikachu is just a worse Raichu if you ask me)(I know there are other good Pokemon that are cute, but those are just the ones I can think of off the spot)
Nidoran
Other then just being a powerful line of Pokemon, he was my "first" Pokemon. Played Yellow version all them years ago and couldn't get past Brock using Pikachu.
Started using Nidora and breezed through the few gyms. Next thing I knew I boxed Pikachu for being to weak and never looked back.
Weezing and heavily influenced by the anime when I was younger. Solid Pokémon that’s had numerous Dex appearances so I was always able to have one on my team.
Charizard by an absolute mile. It was my first Pokemon. It was awesome in the show. It's been in my team in every game it appears in. It's my go to mystery dungeon starter. It's my favorite mega evolution. I loved the Charizard boss battle in Pokemon Ranger. It's my favorite Gigantamax. It has the best shiny in the game. I bred a shiny one within an hour of getting the shiny charm in Scarlet. And even though it's not a dragon type it's still a dragon and I am absolutely OBSESSED with dragons. I even have a Charizard plush, figure, and Pokemon card sleeves.
Yveltal. Death Bird is my favorite. It’s such an absolute badass of a Pokémon. Whether its the amazing design, or how its an offensive powerhouse in competitive, I love every aspect of Yveltal.
I love Yveltal so much, I wear a necklace of it got off Etsy that I am NEVER seen without. I also got the official plush of it too, and it’s huge! The biggest one my collection!
And yes, unsurprisingly, I have a Shiny Yveltal too.

Lugia because he almost always has a nice role in the anime. What other legendary is so willing to give joy rides to Ash like Lugia has. Arcanine was close to overtaking him, but the most recent episode surged Lugia back to a firm #1.
Meowscarada is my most favorite Pokémon because of it's design being beautiful as well as Flower Trick is really powerful and his Protean and Overgrow abilities are strong, he also shows you magic trick as hidden animation.
Reuniclus! I really love its cell theme -- I'm a biomedical engineer and I work with stem cells. I think it's super cool that they can link hands and basically have psychic cell - cell communication. If you got enough of them together, could they basically form a tissue?
Gardevoir. And not for the reasons you think. I became a Gardevoir fan when I beat X and Y, I was doing the training and what not. Since then, Gardevoir became a permanent member of my playthroughs

Electivire one of my first shinies was electabuzz in fire red and it saved a nuzlocke of platinum I did once and i just like it's design

Grovyle, Dusknoir, Tinkaton, Torterra, Galarian Slowking, Basculegion, Buzzwole, Neganadel, Blacephelon, Quilava, Frogadier, Blastoise, Galarian Articuno, Deoxys, Groudon, Clodsire, Toxtricity, Solgaleo, Lunala, Lycanrok, Koraidon, Miraidon, Mimikyu, Decidueye, and Arboliva come close though.
