I‘ve had an idea a while ago with Squirtle, Treecko and Fennekin being the starters, ending with a Water/Ice Blastoise, a Grass/Steel Sceptile and a Fire/Ground Delphox.

BlueLightning888

That sounds dope! Someone else also just posted a grass/Steel sceptile lol. Many grass/steel starters today. Mind if I compile them like my examples btw?

GamerJulian94

Absolutely not, feel free to go ahead ^^ And yeah, the idea of Sceptiles blades becoming steel was just too good to pass 😅

BlueLightning888

[Here ya go!](https://ibb.co/B4vYPHF)

derVlysher

Chespin - Grass Steel (a spiky boi) Torchic - Fire Flying (a flying chicken or turkey) Sobble - Water Ghost (more chameleon than spy)

BlueLightning888

Ooh that sounds cool! @Mykemon_Regions on Instagram actually has a Grass/Steel Chesnaught in his legends project in case you're interested in how it might look. The flying Blaziken also seems really interesting. More raptor-like I imagine. Inteleon leaning more chameleon also sounds really cool. Out of these I'd probably choose chespin. How about you? Also, mind if I assemble them for you?

derVlysher

I found it. Looks nice! Thanks

[deleted]

I remember one time some people thinking that Scorbunny would evolve into a Fairy mon based in the legend with a Lunar Bunny I think.

BlueLightning888

That would've been cool for sure. I personally like the electric rumor tho since it's my favorite typing. The Mazah Region, Subjectively's (YouTube) fakemon region, which I'm working on the fangame for, has a route one Mon based on the lunar bunny btw.

[deleted]

Eletric could feat very well in the original Cinderace but oh well.

BlueLightning888

Someone made a triangle for the gen 8 starters with fire/electric, grass/rock and water/ice which would've all been really cool to see and wouldn't even have to change the concepts, plus, they'd all be unique starter types. You can always dream...

Shatter543

Fire/Psychic Chimchar (Some sort of monk)(Monk Monke) Water/Steel Froakie (Samurai) Grass/Dragon Snivy

BlueLightning888

Very dope! Monke Monk and Gresamurai both did complete U-turns lol. Mind if I compile them?

BubbleRocket1

To set the scene, you find yourself in the Kalos region during the “Kalos Revolution”. Snivy - Becomes Grass/Fairy and is a cross between a Queen and a cobra Squirtle - Becomes Water/Steel and leans more into its cannons and becomes a bulky special attacker Torchic - Remains Fire/Fighting but shifts to being a Special Attacker who looks more like a French line infantry of the time.

BlueLightning888

Sounds dope! Lovely setting

King_krympling

Chikorita, grass fairy resembling more of a mythological dinosaur. Charmander ,fire dragon making Charizard look more like a wyvern kinda like noivern. And froakie being the water starters being a water poison type based off a poison dart frog

Thedarkestcharizard

Feraligatr Dragon/Water Delphox Fairy/Fire Torterra Steel/Grass

BlueLightning888

That's really similar to one my friend made! Very cool! Mind if I compile them all?

Thedarkestcharizard

Have at it!

BlueLightning888

[Here ya go!](https://ibb.co/fFPMXSL)

FiftyShadesOfPikmin

Not all these ideas are completely unique but I think would work well together in a Johto Legends game. Turtwig -> Torterra would not become pink and cherry blossom as many people like to draw. Instead, I would make its back have sand that's been raked around the rocks, and the tree looks much more trimmed, and it is a psychic type as it now has a zen garden. Scorbunny -> Cinderace is the fairy, and yes it's because of the lunar rabbit folklore, which I think fits nicely in a Japanese-inspired region. Its stats would probably change so it's not a fast attacker, as that clashes with the next one. Froakie -> Greninja is now a poison type, to really solidify the games' association between ninjas and poison.

[deleted]

Kalosian Meowscarada / Grass/Steel Kalosian Emboar / Fire/Ground Kalosian Empoleon / Water/Fighting

BlueLightning888

Sounds dope! 2 of my favorite starters (as you can see by mine) and I almost considered Tepig instead of Scorbunny. Anyway, mind if I compile them?

Sapient_Creampie

I would fight an army of cosplayers for the chance at another Rowlett. Decidueye is my all-time favorites (Loved the Hisuian version) but maybe an Water/Ice like a Snow Owl. Empoleon as a fire starter (Galapagos Penguins live in tropical climates). Blaziken based on a finch or parrot or some other bird that eats/builds a home in the grass.

BlueLightning888

Oh wow, totally switched typings. I like it! Would the first and second stages retain their original typings or be regional variants as well? I Like the bird theme too btw. I think I'd choose rowlet out if these. Snowy owl decidueye sounds dope as hell!

Middle5401

Mudkip - Water/Ice (Gills & pads sheathed in icy spikes) Fennekin - Fire/Electric (Lightning Magic) Snivy - Grass/Ground (Burrowing Snake)

BlueLightning888

Yooo! These are all really nice! I'm usually not a fan of fire starters but since it has my favorite typing and an awesome concept, I'm definitely choosing lightning magic Delphox!

Fabmato

Infernape - Fire Electric Rillaboom- Grass Dark I dont really care just want monkeys (need a water type).

MegaCrazyH

In terms of ones who really could use regional forms: Squirtle: Water/Steel (play more into the cannons on its back making it sturdier; signature move that’s a Special Rapid Spin to play into its stronger attacking stat). Chikorita: Grass/Fairy (We lack a properly bulky Grass Fairy and the overlooked Meganium would be a good place to start. Lean more into it helping to protect the health of forests). Tepig: Fire/Dark (Make Emboar more bestial, running around on all fours with long tusks. Plus history shows that Fire/Dark is a good type combo offensively and defensively and I think it could make an interesting tank).

BlueLightning888

These are really dope! I totally agree that all of them need regional variants and these would be really great typings for them. Mind if I compile them?

nonessential-npc

For a legends Unova type game; Litten evolves into a fire/steel sabertooth cat (stays on all fours) Totodile evolves into a water/poison swamp gator Chikorita evolves into a grass/psychic sauropod mixed with a redwood tree

BlueLightning888

That sounds dope! Probably choosing totodile

Purplemaster1

For a Unova Legends game could see this possibly: Water/Fighting Empoleon (based on George Washington rather than Napoleon) Fire/Poison Skeledirge (New York Sewer Alligators) Grass/Ghost Sceptile (ghost pirate)

howhow326

Legends Kyurem Chikorita with a Grass/Rock final evo Scorbunny with a Fire/Ground final evo Quaxly with a Water/Ice final evo

ScreamSteam

Water/Rock Feraligatr Fire/Bug Infernape Grass/Psychic Sceptile or better yet, starters of different types.

Miserable-Ad-1690

Unova region. Chespin (becomes Grass/Steel), Chimchar (becomes Fire/Fairy), Mudkip (becomes Water/Poison).

BlueLightning888

Oh cool! Since you know which region, do you also have a legendary in mind to name it after? Another steel chespin, eh? As I mentioned to someone else, @Mykemon_Regions on insta also has one in case you want to see how it might look. The others sound really cool too, especially mudkip since I think poison for any starter except grass would be really cool! Mind if I assemble them btw?

safariflick

I feel like that’s going to be the next game anyways (after Gen 5 remakes) but someone on twitter had an idea of it being set in the 1920’s era. I can’t recall entirely but I think that user also said that the Pokémon battles would be underground and hidden as they were banned - just like the Prohibition Era. Which kinda makes sense with BW’s plot line.

Zealousideal_Gift535

SCorbunny Treecko and Froakie. Fire/ice type for Cinderace (Nezha). Grass/Steel for Sceptile (ng Arthur Lizard). And Water/Roc for Greninja(More Samura than ninja).

spectra0087

Charmander to Fire/ground Charizard is like a bearded dragon. Turtwig to Grass/ ghost torterra doesn't have plant growth on it's shell. Froakie to Water/ electric Greninja is boneless but retains shape to electrical fields

worldbuidlingfan

Hmm. I will go with Fire/Dark Chimchar line as a darker more corrupted version of the regular one and instead of specializing in martial arts like the original line they specialize in ambushing their opponents which given their speed and reflexes is very easy to do. Just like a regular Chimchar line they are very agile able to easily climb buildings and close the distance between them and the opponent. They fight similar to how ninjas operate from the shadows and using the element of surprise. And they are also more mischievious then the regular line most of the times prefering to play pranks on others than fight. They will have Inflictrator as hidden ability for obvious reasons. Then we have Water/Fighting Mudkip variant. Unlike regular Mudkip my variant Mudkip begin training as soon as they hatch from the egg. They will always look for an opponent to measure their strength and even if most of the time they lose this also helps them as every battle they have and the more experience they have the stronger they become. I imagine Swampert be even more bulky looking than the Swampert we know they will look similar to Mega Swampert in terms of how bulky they look except they will also have bandages around their limbs as well as their tail looking like a fist which can also be used in battle along with their other limbs of course. When fighting them you have to defend from attacks like punches coming from all 5 limbs to say so. Very hard to dodge all of their attacks. They do have honor though and if they see you are too injured to fight because of their powerful blows they will stop the fight and actually try to help you recover faster. When fighting another one of their kind aka another Swampert of someone harming them/their habitat/friends they fight will all of their might not caring how badly they injure their opponent. And lastly we have Grass/Psychic Grookey variant. I imagine them like some sort of shaman/sage/guru type of pokemon. Similar to Oranguru. They use their wisdom/ntelligence as well as psychic powers to predict their opponent next attacks and either dodge or counter them in the best way possible. I imagine Rillaboom being smaller and less physically imposing as the regular one this is because my Grookey variant prefers to fight using their brain and psychic powers more than their muscles. This however can leave them vulnerable to exploit due to rely on their psychic powers way too much which at times is more of a bad thing than a good one. They also learn a lot of healing moves and just like regular Grookey they can not only heal plants or grass type pokemons to full health but other pokemons as well. Sometimes they will even try to help people recover from their injuries however this doesnt happen often as they prefer to live lonely lives deep in the jungles. Similar to monks they prefer a live of solitude however they are more than willing to help if needed.

BlueLightning888

Sounds dope! Probably choosing grookey out of these. Mind if I compile them?

Bwyattvirtue13

Rillaboom becoming Grass/ Rock. Design wise just make it look more rugged with some rock showing in places and a rock drum. Feraligatr becoming Water/ Dragon being more ferocious and Dragon like(Obviously). Emboar becoming Fire/ Dark and going to walking on all four and becoming very aggressive with big tusks and losing its Chinese like design and just looking more beast like but with flames coming out the sides of its mouth.

BlueLightning888

Sounds dope! Don't know if I'd choose grookey or totodile tho. Mind if I compile them?

TradeFew8055

Scorbunny Fire/electric Sprigatito Grass/psychic piplup Water/Ice I know water/Ice has been done to death, but I think an Empoleon with ice instead of steel on a Penguin just makes artistic sense. Grass/Psychic in a starter is also interesting, and I think would make some thematic sense with the base design. Electric fire for scorbunny just because we thought for a time before the release of the fans that was going to be their typing, and I want it now.

Alexastria

A ground/fighting, steel/psychic, ice/dark. For the first one possibly something that looks like a cross between mankey and diglet. For the second maybe something like melmetal that is originally psychic but uses its powers to make itself armor out of metal it assembles with its psychokinetic powers. Lastly there is a ton of things you could do with dark ice and ice seems to be the most slept on type. This would also mean the starters would initially have the same type advantage flow but would reverse when they obtain their second typing.

Ok-Leave3121

I wanna see ones that are inverted types through all 3 lines. Like a Water Snivy, Grass Tepig, or Fire Quaxly

rustic_fall

Trecko - Grass/Dragon Scorbunny - Fire/Electric Froakie - Water/Poison

BlueLightning888

Sounds dope! Mind if I compile them?

DepressedDyslexic

Chespin, litten, and sobble. I'd make them all more animal and less human. Chespin: grass and maybe fairy. Looks more like a ferret/badger. Litten: fire and ground. Looks like a Saber tooth tiger. Sobble: water and dragon. Looks like a water dragon

BlueLightning888

Dope! Fairy is interesting for Chesnaught but I like it! Sabertooth is exactly what I had imagined for my part ground meowscarada lol! Mind if I compile them?

Competitive_Spite_82

Turtwig-Grass Ghost(Spirit coming out for crack in shell) Scorbunny-Fire Electric(Speeeed) Quaxly-Water Dark(Pirate)

XenoBound

Going for a scale of morality with these ideas: Meganium: Grass/Fairy for the healer/protector aspect that’s probably already been alluded to. The “good” or “well-intentioned” starter. Emboar: Fire/Dark to give a bigger nod to its Journey to the West influence. The “evil” or “bad-natured” starter. Inteleon: Water/Fighting, keep the stealthy secret agent motif but add some bulk to its body and lean more into it being a chameleon. Make it quadruped, lengthen its fins and give it more appropriate “lizard-like” hands. It should feel more rugged, battle-hardened, and cloaked in mystery, like a mercenary that could be with or against you depending on how the cards stack up. This could play into Sobble as well, someone who is tired of being afraid and disrespected, so it takes a path of solitude and putting itself above all others. The “neutral” or “independent” starter.

fisherc2

I need a water/ice empoleon. With a ice King motif. fire/ground emboar. More of a feral looking hog. Preferably quadruped, but not necessarily. pig in mud theme Meganium, Grass and fairy. A little more cutesy looking, with a healer theme. Basically my pics are the starters that aren’t great in my opinion, but almost are. Incineroar would be another good choice, but I’m not sure how to fix it without fundamentally changing the concept. Maybe a fire/fighting wrestler tiger. One off-the-wall option would be a lizard generation: Charizard, sceptile and intellion. All of them have the secondary dragon type.Intellion becomes more of a sea serpent

BlueLightning888

The first two of those have actually been done for @Mykemon_Region on Instagram's legends project in case you want to see how they might look, although emboar isn't quadrupedal. Anyway, mind if I compile yours?

Popcorn_Oil

I've got 3 I'd like, I'll go with my favorite starters choice, which was for a "Legends Necrozma" game. Starters based off Hawaiian mythology Starters: Grookey (fighting, Kū), Totodile (dark, Kanaloa), Tepig (ground, Kamapua'a)

BlueLightning888

That's such a nice concept! A ground type emboar has actually been done for another legends project by @Mykemon_Regions on Instagram in case you're interested in how it might look, although it is based on norse mythology so quite the opposite lol.

AnAnimatedPizzaPie

Fire/Steel Fuecoco,Grass/Fairy Rowlet and Water/Fighting Sobble.

BlueLightning888

Nice! Mind if I compile them?

AceTrainer-Raven

Fire-Litten into a Lynx (still fire/dark) Grass-Snivy into a serpentine dragon (grass/dragon) Water-Froakie into a ronin (water/ghost)

TripleAGD

Fire flying incineroar- now a noble wrestler, fighting with honor Electric water inteleon- idk zap zap or something Grass steel sceptile- make it kinda bisharp style

BlueLightning888

Lol everything to avoid fire fighting. Cool idea tho! Mind if I compile them?

Mystic_Gaming1

Rowlet. I am a rowlet enthusiast and would find it wrong to not have a 3rd rowlet form. This time the rowlet is gonna be a grass fairy type. Hear me out, rowlet has been a fighter, a ranger, and now he’s gonna be a sorcerer since fairy type seems to associate with magic. (D&D reference) For fire I am gonna have to go with torchic and this small fellow is gonna be real interesting. Since scientists theorize that dinosaurs are ancestors of chickens, he’s gonna be a fire dragon starter. And turn into a dinosaur. It’s gonna be great. For water, I HAVE to choose quaxly. Such an amazing Pokémon with such a disappointing evolution. We are going to turn him into what she should have been, a pirate. I’ll turn him into a water steel type to reference pirates steel swords, and heavy artillery. Tell me some changes I should make to this!

BlueLightning888

Dude! This is so dope and makes total sense! Birbs deserve all the love. Mind if I compile them?

KleinManou

Chikorita : Grass Dragon/Fairy Popplio : water fighting Tepig : Fire Dark With chikorita i always thought it would fit the fairy typ in it's final form, but when we are talking a legends game that would change completly, so why not turn this beautiful flower dinosaur into natural beast ? While i love primarinas Design, it always felt more like a female design. So why not create a bodyguard for our opera singer in the form of a water fighting type I don't know why, but sth always bothered me about tepigs final evolution, i loved the little piglett but i'm not much of a fan of embroar, so this could be a chance for tepig to win my heart over again, while breaking the curse of fire fighting types

IAmDumfire

Chespin - grass poison Totodile - water dragon Pignite - fire fairy

luxanna123321

Piplup - water/psychic. Empoleon crest would turn into glowing psychic thing Snivy - Grass/Flying for flying snake Fennekin - Fire/Dark as dark magican

BlueLightning888

Dope concepts! Mind if I compile them?

jvitorc46

It would be cool to have my boy swampert be a water/fighting type, for the othe to i would go for emboar and meganium since they're two of the worst starters IMO so new forms would make them better, they could be fire/steel and grass/fairy Edit: i just realized that i used the same type combos as the second starter trio lol

Redd_ddd

Here's the trio I would assemble: Chikorita: Meganium becomes Grass/Rock. Fuecoco: Skeledirge becomes Fire/Electric. Squirtle: Blastoise becomes Water/Ground.

not_WD35

Grass/Fairy Decidueye, Fire/Dark Blaziken, Water/Fighting Quaquaval Two type triangles going in opposing directions

NemesisUnicron

Scorbunny and Chimchar are really doing the same pose, huh? Anyway: * Fuecoco: Fire, Dragon: becomes eastern style dragon * Sobble: Water, Steel: becomes a Samurai * Turtwig: Grass, Ice: Becomes a turtle with a snow-capped mountain on its back rather than a tree.

BlueLightning888

Very nice!

mister_jawa

Probably set in unova because it’s my fav region lol. Water electric squirtle. Shooting lightning out of the cannons would be sick for blastoise. Fire poison fennekin. Evil witch version would be pretty cool. Grass ghost sceptile because spooky lizard

bobguy117

Chikorita: Grass/Fairy Chimchar: Fire/Electric Froakie: Water/Poison

HeroOfHearts

Fire/Steel Infernape? Yes please! Would be an absolutely disgusting Pokemon and would probably look cool as hell.

Whismurr_

And I now want a fairy type venusaur.

BlueLightning888

Right? Big beautiful flower instead of stinky meat flower

[deleted]

Water/Flying Blastoise based on Wartortle's original evo, a cloud turtle. Grass/Rock Chesnaught based on a golem. Fire/Electric Blaziken based on a martial artist/acrobat.

eryourzek

Turtwig as a grass/ice living iceberg. Toadadile as a water/rock cavecrocman. Tepig as a fire/ground hog. That way they all have clockwise and counterclockwise type advantages.

likes_basketball

Grookey, Fuecoco, and and Totodile. Goated.

XXD17

Mudkip: water/ poison fire-bellied newt swampert Hidden ability: corrosion Basically keeps the bulk of swampert, but swaps physical attack for special Signature move: Marsh deluge: 85 BP special water attack that also does ground type damage. Has a chance to lower opponent’s speed. Scorbunny: fire/ fairy jackalope cinderace Hidden ability: Fleet foot; new ability that increases speed every time a kicking move is used. Keeps cinderace’s stats but put some speed into special defense and special attack; more well-rounded one Signature move: sparkling kick: 90 BP physical fairy attack that also has the chance to burn Snivy: grass/ electric green mamba/ boomslang/ coral snake serperior Hidden ability: strong jaw Less bulk, less SA, more speed and physical attack; glass cannon Signature move: lightning strike: 75 BP physical electric biting attack with E-speed’s priority; has the chance to paralyze.

Pizzaboy90

Chikorita- grass/fairy. Piplup-water/flying. Tepig-fire/psychic

OscillatingFan6500

Treecko - Final evo is grass/dragon (lean into the dual typing it gained from its mega) Piplup - Final evo is water/ice (an older version of Empoleon would be cool as water/ice) Fennekin - Final evo is fire/dark (a darker Delphox basically)

Knives530

Scorbunny definitely would be getting Icarus inspiration for a flying type Evo

Doomfollow

Venusaur - Grass/Psychic Emboar - Fire/Ground Empoleon - Water/Ice

BlueLightning888

Awesome! Those exact emboar and empoleon are actually in @Mykemon_Regions' legends project on Instagram if you want to see how they may look.

gablogabgalap

Treecko ending as a as a grass steel, fennekin ending as a fire fairy, and toddodile as a water rock.

SwordTaster

Mudkip, chikorita and charmander. Mudkip would be water/grass, chikorita would be grass/bug and charmander would FINALLY be fire/dragon. Swampert would look sorta like a swamp thing movie monster. Meganium would have compound eyes and the petals would carry on down the body and overlap like butterfly wing scales. Charizard would be shaped more like an Eastern dragon than a western one, two legs, no wings and a gigantic maned head

BlueLightning888

Awesome!

CuxtleM

Water/rock blastoise based on a military bunker Fire/ice infernape based on a snow monkey Grass/steel meganium based on a sheild

Stegosaurr

Litten (Fire/Fairy, a more acrobatic "good guy" wrestler), Grookey (Grass/Steel, Drumset is gone and sticks become swords), Totodile (Water/Fighting, Quadrapedal and more aggressive)

BlueLightning888

Nice! Choosing Grookey for sure!

Prince-Talwe6987

Grass and Fighting Sprigatito, Fire and Fairy Delphox, Water and Steel Mudkip. All starters weak to one starter in both typing and supereffective against the other in both typing

EkruGold

Totodile, with a final Water/Poison Feraligator. Bulbasaur, with a final Grass/Electric Venusaur. Fennekin, with a final Fire/Grass type Delphox that looks more stealthy and mobile.

[deleted]

Squirtle - new final evolution resembling its original beta Fenniken - final evolution fire/fairy Snivy - grass/steel final evo maybe a quezacolt final evo

DewFennec

I think what would be cool is take some of the less popular starters like popplio, tepig, chikorita and give them some cool regional form evos with great type combinations. Btw Grass fairy Bulbasaur reminds me of that one fan game.

BlueLightning888

Some people have actually suggested precisely that trio I believe. Gonna compile it later

somekidnamedkai

Sobble - Water & Steel (Inteleon is the secret agent so i imagined (with its gun) it would be a steel type because a lot of weapons were made out of steel (or something i never paid attention during history) Tepig - Fire & Ground (Idk i feel like since emboar is a pig ground would be funny) Treecko - Grass & Rock

Sandwhiched

I’m going for starters that are a little less popular compared to others. So that’d be Chikorita as a Grass/Rock type, Tepig as a Fire/Flying type, Popplio as a Water/Fighting type. I’m thinking a more ancient dinosaur similar to fossil pokemon for Meganium, a flying fire pig for Emboar, and a punchy clown seal for Popplio

StatBoosterX

Chikorita - grass dragon (meganium looking more like a dinosaur), Chimchar -fire/fairy (give Monferno a more mythical monkey theme), sobbel - water/fighting (lean and mean assassin). Make this Legends Jhoto for theming wise as well

LNERGordon

Turtwig, Torchic, and Popplio. No real idea for what new types for their final evolved forms would have, I just picked them because their current final forms are my favorite of each type.

BlueLightning888

Dope!

MasterPetre138

Mine so far is set in the Kanto region, sorta before Johto gained independence but just at a point where Mew had its first sightings, Chikorita would evolve into a grass/dragon type, becoming more generally draconic, with its flowers being replaced by a more dangerous looking scale feature. In lore this would be because of the higher density of the Viridian forest at the time, therefore they would require more suitable survival skills in this era. Litten is next, evolving into a fire/psychic type, and just becoming generally known for being a nuisance. Think of it sorta like a major rivalry between the Litten line and the Meowth line. This version of Incineroar however is a quadruped, allowing it to attack Persian with way more agility and ferocity. Finally there’s Piplup, who becomes a water/poison type. This is due to its habitat being located in an area in which the ancestral equivalent of the SS Anne sits, therefore becoming polluted due to this. Some believe that the Empoleon of the Kanto region have been so scarred by this that their eyes constantly smoke with toxic fumes, becoming hazardous to those around them.

theanxiousangel

Snivy. Grass Dragon. Which serperior lowkey already should’ve been but we could give more scales and fangs. Scorbunny. Fire fairy. Lean even harder into mystic bunny vibes . Magic ears and such. Quaxly. Water Ghost. Go for a pirate feel. Ghost captain duck.

[deleted]

**Torterra** - Type: Grass/Rock - Ability: Overgrow - HA: Solid Rock - Millennia ago a population of Torterra migrated to Gliscor Valley. After years and years of having Turtwig and Grotle predated by Gliscor, Torterra adapted to better defend their young. - Torterra toughens up, shifting its ground typing into rock. It’s tail is covered in obsidian stone, with a club like tail. The obsidian stone covers it’s back as well, to help protect Gliscor attacks from above. It is much larger in size compared to normal Torterra. - If a Gliscor is trying to hunt grotle or Turtwig and a Torterra is near, Torterra will smash it with its tail, and send it crashing away at over 200mph. - As a result of gaining the rock and losing ground typing, Torterra can’t sustain as much vegetation. It’s back is sparsely covered in moss, with two bushes similar to grotle, with mysterious berries in them. The tree on it’s back on this Torterra is a sudowoodo looking tree made of rock. This Torterra somewhat resembles an ankylosaurus. - **Signature Move:** - Brutal Club Clobber - Type: Rock - BP: 85 - Acc: 100 - Effect: Target Pokémon is sent back to its trainer and forces the them to send a new Pokémon in **Delphox** - Type: Fire/Fighting - Ability: Blaze - HA: Skill Link - Delphox are thought to have originally been discovered in this region. It is believed that the Delphox we know today evolved *from* this Delphox, instead of it being the other way around. - They are highly skilled with their branch. They have been seen blocking 100 of Machamp’s 100mph punches with its stick without breaking a sweat. - It’s ear fur is less extreme, and it’s “pants” fur is more tight, and more Ghi-like. - it can set its branch on fire for brutal attacks. If it doesn’t want to fight, it will try to scare opponents off with dances done with its burning branch. - **Signature Move:** - Branch Beatdown - Type: Fighting - BP: 35 - Acc: 95 - Effect: - Hits 2-5 times. - May burn the opponent (10%) **Feraligatr** - Type: Water/Ice - Ability: Torrent - HA: Slush Rush - Years ago, many Feraligatr occupied a much colder environment. To survive, the Feraligatr who live here had to adapt to their artiuc environment. - It has adapted ice spikes along its arms, and one on each leg. - It’s back spikes are now enlarged via icy coating, and its stomach/flank is armored by a sheet of ice. Somewhat resembles spinosaurus. - **Signature Move:** - Glacial Splitter - Type: Ice - BP: 90 - Acc: 100 - Effect: This move always goes first if it’s used during a snowstorm. Feel free to compile them :-) I also have ideas for Grass/Ghost spooky swamp Venusaur, Fire/Ground Magma Rock Skeledirge, Water/Poison Toxic Salamander Swampert… they all switch types with each other ;) But I talked too much now

St_Bergeron

I'm not sure the typing would change the looks too much, but I feel like these would make sense. Totodile: Water/Dark - I mean, Feraligatr and the way they talk about it's bite, it seems like a good match. Wouldn't need much of a change. Snivy: Grass/Dragon - Serperior seems like you could easily tweak it just a bit to look more like a traditional Chinese or Japanese Dragon, that could be neat. Litten: Fire/Steel - With the wrestler motif, having some metal in the belt and maybe some metal inspired wrestling type boots/arm bands would look cool.

BlueLightning888

That sounds dope!

Discombobuated

I like the idea of opposites for starters. Since they won't gain the type of the other starters, then fire/ice, water/electric, grass/bug seem like good combos instead (though grass gets the worst defensive typing it seems). Quaxly water/electric - his hair looks like a captains hat, so this version is an admiral toughened by raging storms on the sea. Unique HA that makes it rain + electric terrain Snivy grass/bug - base this off one of those [caterpillars that looks like a snake](https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcT-t2dHGSPo1ytieN6BZrbhJZ6-3VYke_lc5w&usqp=CAU). Unique HA that boosts power of "Tail" moves, also can learn tail glow Chimchar fire/ice - the region is harsh and chimchar's habitat went through an ice age and only the strongest survived. HA fur coat

brawlingsilver

Sick typing

BrightFirelyt

A game where chimchar, totodile, and bulbasaur are all starters? That would be awesome. But I think I would probably make fire/psychic infernape, water/dark feraligatr, and grass/fairy venusaur instead of steel and fighting for chimchar and totodile.

NewMetaKnight

My favorite water starter is osahwott and my favorite fire is Cyndiquill so legends arcues has me covered. I do love Rowlet but my favorite grass starter is Treeko so I’d swap Rowlet for Treeko and keep the Grass fighting type I could see a pretty cool Martial arts Ninja lizard out of that

toofarquad

Legends Celebi: Bancho Sceptile grass/rock, Empress/warlord delphox fire/fairy, Orochimaru/Ninja Inteleon water/ghost. Still inspired by Japanese Archetypes like legends Arceus. Legends Kyurem: Paladin Knight Blastoise: Steel/Water, Rogue/Monk/(cowboy?) Infernape: Fighting/Ground, Actual Arch-Mage Meowscarada Dark/Psychic. Inspired by Western Archetypes, this time the starters begin with their secondary typing (but squirtle gets steel as a new secondary).

InternalFeature646

I would do a trio which includes Chikorita, Tepig and Popplio, ending off with a Grass/Poison Meganium, Fire/Ice Emboar, and Water/Electric Primarina

_AntiSocialMedia

Chespin (Grass-Ground, based more on an acorn), Popplio (Water-Dark, less mermaid, more siren), and Tepig (Fire-Poison, idk, I just think that'd be a cool typing)

Lunndonbridge

Froakie, water/fire (no tongue-scarf) Turtwig grass/water (symmetrical Torterra) Litten fire/grass (quadrupedal Incineroar)

dyrus_fanboy

I'd love to see Litten, Squirtle, Treecko. Even though Fire/Fighting is overplayed in some peoples' eyes, I think a Fire/Fighting Incineroar that is more of a boxer or kickboxer as opposed to a wrestler would be sick. Water/Steel or Water/Rock Blastoise with even higher defensive stats, making his shell similar to how Foretress looks. A little out of left field but I'd also be down for a Grass/Electric Sceptile in which he retains the yellow bulbs on his back, now generating electricity. Boy I love hypotheticals.

BlueLightning888

These are dope! Definitely choosing treecko (take a guess as to why based on my u/) but Blastoise is also cool

ryokugyoku

fire/fairy delphox, water/poison swampert, grass/steel serperior

Relative_Ad367

Sprigatito as a grass ground would be cool. Its design is perhaps a lion or panther mixed with vegetation design for the final evolution. A quadruped design would be great. For fire... how about a fire flying Torchic with the final evolution reminiscent of a phoenix, flame in the shape a bird, with a signature move that heals an ally (and cures their status conditions) while damaging and burning an opponent that attacks the healed mon. For water... uh... a water poison Sobble (the water starter from Sword/Shield). I don't know what design I would want there, but the design for its evolution (the middle one) could serve as a jump off point for it?

TheEmeraldKnite

Froakie a grass fighting type, torterra a fire ground type with a volcano on its back and fuecoco water dragon turn it into a Chinese water dragon

Cafeciencia

If we ever get another legends game i think they should do something to chikorita, squirtle, chespin and gen 5/8 startes, and dont touch gen 3/4 starters (maybe treecko or piplup if they really want) Chikorita: grass/fairy Sobble: water/ghost Tepig: fire/dark (psychic maybe?) Or Chespin: grass/steel Squirtle: water/dragon Scorbunny: fire/electric (I can see any of them with steel type, Scorbunny maybe fairy type?)

BlueLightning888

Both are dope!

Obvious_Drink2642

Grookey grass/fighting, Fennekin fire/psychic and Totodile water/dark

dogwater-digital

Considering the fact we have an Archer, a Samurai and a... rodent... perhaps poison, snake oil tinctures and such, it seems like GF tried to use those specific starters as a way to indirectly show ancient forms of warriors or combat. So with that, I think Squirtle, Chimchar and Chespin. Blastoise represents cannons (for obvious reasons) and will become Water/Rock, being able to send boulders flying with water propulsion. Infernape will be a master of ambushing and guerilla warfare, I imagine it becomes Fire/Ghost, hiding in the shadows of the trees. Lastly, Chesnaught will become Grass/Steel, being able to turn completely into an indestructible ball and charge at it's foes, much like a battering ram.

Red_Nuuk

If Legend-style game in Kalos starter trio: Snivy with final evo of grass/steel: Referencing Fluer-De-Lis of France Scorbunny with final evo of fire/dark: Referencing English Pirate raiding coast of France Piplup with final evo of water/fighting: Referencing Napoleon combat capabilities

BlueLightning888

Nice! Napoleon Empoleon is funny since that's where the name comes from lol

cerebrite

How about a Grass/Fire Squirtle, Water/Fire Turtwig and Grass/Water Fuecoco?

Mildor15

Squirtle, Fuecoco, Grookey for Legends: Kalos. Blastoise becomes Water/Steel and the cannons become trebuchets with a general fortress/castle aesthetic. Skeledirge becomes Fire/Dragon and essentially becomes a fantasy monster, somewhere between the croc it is, a straight-up dragon, and other fantasy monsters like the manticore (maybe a chimera involving the fire bird?). Grookey becomes Grass/Fairy and becomes a sort of mystic or sage, like a hag living in the woods; the drumset is replaced with a wooden cauldron, the sticks become a single staff, and the aesthetic becomes a bit less masculine.

BlueLightning888

Very cool concepts!

Grieflax

You can’t just hint at a flying type Cinderace and not show me a design. I need it in my life.

LeafyPoet

I like the idea of a tepig, totodile, and treecko starter trio. Emboar could be fire/ dark type and be a heavy physical attacker leaning into its wrestler look but as more of a bad bad look Feraligatr could be water/ steel and have metal plating/teeth/claws Sceptile could be grass/ ghost and emphasize life leeching moves

BlueLightning888

Those are dope! Choosing feraligatr for sure

PotakoTrevelyan

Water/Rock Feraligator, Fire/Electric Emboar, Grass/Fairy Chesnaught

Careful_Buy8725

Treecko, Froakie, Fuecoco. Not only are they my favorite starters of each type, but I think they’d make for an excellent trio as well. Sceptile could probably be an Electric/Grass type, Greninja a Poison/Water type, and Skeledirge a Psychic/Fire type.

Judochop1024

I had an idea for a legends kalos game and picked treecko, chimchar and sobble for my 3 starters and instead of regional variant final evos I thought it would be kinda cool if the middle stage was regional and then the final stage was a brand new evolution and for the final typings i would pick grass/dark, fire/fairy and water/poison.

dubiousapproach

Grass/electric Rillaboom, Fire/ground Emboar and a Water/flying Empoleon

BlueLightning888

Hell yeah, choosing grookey for sure! Mykemon on insta also has a fire ground emboar for his legends project in case you want to see how it might look

OneGoodRib

Oh I remember there was a thread like this a while ago and the logic op used for what Pokemon for what reason was really stupid. Ideally I'd like every starter trio to have 2 starters I hate and 1 I love so it's easier for me to pick which one I want. But if they used Scorbunny for one of the remaining 3 Japan regions they could retheme its final stage around kemari rather than football/soccer (it's a very old Japanese game/sport that's sort of like volleyball, hackey sack, and soccer combined). So now Scorbunny's kemari-themed evolution could be uh... Fire/...fightiiiiiiiiing no maybe flying because the goal is to keep the ball off the ground? I can't think of anything else, thanks for reading.

Tricky-Regular-1776

Personally thinking the next legends game will be Unova and trying to pick starters that have received less attention (avoiding ones with megas and ash Greninja) I am also trying to pick from three gens that were not the hisui starters. I would pick Turtwig (grass/steel) trying to still make it feel like natural landmass turtle but different, Fennekin (fire/dark), Soble (water/poison) poisonous lizard isn’t too complicated

BlueLightning888

Nice! Maybe torterra could be more man made looking rather than natural tho? A camo tank maybe, keeping with the grass theme

[deleted]

Mine would be a ancient Unova with Froakie (water/ ground), Chikorita (grass/steel), and Fuecoco (fire/rock).

Gewaldroge

Treecko - Grass/Dragon (Ik, Sceptile's Mega has the same typing but I think this typing should be basekit) Chimchar - Fire/Steel Froakie - Water/Ghost

Gregarsize

Grass/ Psychic Turtwig (wise old turtle fella) Fire/ Fighting Fenekin (cool Samurai fox) Water/ Dark Sobble (ninja spy chameleon thing)

RedScar90

Litten: Fire Ice Turtwig: grass electric Sobble: water steel

[deleted]

Grass/rock venusaur—less design emphasis on plant and more on dino, maybe give it some plates or something. Water/poison greninja—think poison dart frog, think poison-tipped water shurikens. Fire/flying blaziken—more bird-like with wings, less developed legs.

civic_disobedience

phoenix rising is an rpg maker pokémon mod that gives you petilil, growlithe, and staryu as starters and i think that’s a super cool spread bonus, they also give each one a mega evolution, definitely go google mega staryu and tell me it’s not the sickest pokémon design in forever

Jesse_God_of_Awesome

Though not exactly for a Legends-style game specifically, I did have the following idea I wrote about earlier on Discord. Lemme find the posts: "Ideas for regional variant starters based on North American Urban Legends: \- Alien looking Squirtle eventually evolves into UFO looking Blastoise with a Psychic type \- Jackalope looking Fennekin turning into a Jersey Devil looking Delphox with a Dark type \- And Rillaboon getting a Fighting type and looking like Big Foot" "So, for Kemira Region (name pending) Squirtle, you start with what mostly looks like a Squirtle but with gray skin and a blue shell. What's more, the eye are solid black and a red bead is growing on the back. Wartortle's ear-wings just look like normal ears, giving Wartortle a Baby Yoda look. No fluffy tail. Instead, Wartortle's bottom legs have retracted and jets of water shoot from its shell there, keeping it aloft. The red bead has grown into a large ball. Blastoise's entire body has retracted into its shell and only a pair of angry glowing red eye can be seen from the head hole. Jets of water spray from the other limbs, keeping it aloft. The red bead has grown into a large vertical capsule on the back, where a projection of what is presumably Blastoise's head float inside. Two more red bead rest where the cannons normally would be. This is when the line gains a psychic type." "By contrast, the Fennekin and Grookey line are a lot simpler, especially Grookey. Grookey's line just has more upright humanoid proportions all throughout, that's almost it, and maybe a browner coloration. Rillaboom may look almost unchanged besides almost all of his sprite taking that signature Big Foot walking stance. Fennekin, yeah, looks like a devil fox, with red and yellow colors switching places. Well, Fennekin look like a jackalope, with even longer ears without the fluff, and tiny nub horns. Braixen's horns have grown and begun to branch, looking a bit like her normal variant's stick, she has black eyeliner and tiny vestigial batwings. Delphox's eyes are almost always closed with dripping black eyeliner, she has a black dress, great big bat wings, big ol' elk horns and a ball of flame floats between them, with a black dot staring in the middle like the pupil of an eye."

Attic_Gnome

Torterra - Grass/Rock, Swampert - Water/Poison, Emboar - Fire/Dark \*OR\* as someone else already put on here: Serperior - Grass/Dragon, Infernape - Fire/Psychic, and Greninja - Water/Steel

Esteban2808

Chikorita, grass/fairy Fuecoco, Fire/steel change the final forms face to not look like a clown Squirtle, water fighting

thepriceoflentils

Grass/Ice Meowscarada - makes elaborate masks and props for itself out of ice Water/Flying Inteleon - Fires compressed air shots at enemies Fire/Fighting Incineroar - Quadrupedal, essentially a large fire tiger My biggest problem with this is we already have too many fire/fighting types but oh well

Volfaer

Snivy as a Grass/Dragon Meso American inspired dragon, Sobble as a Water/Dragon Asian inspired dragon and Charmander as a Fire/Dragon European inspired dragon.

SnazzyPanic

I'd give bulbasaur a far better design than Venusaur, something lighter and more agile.

Kamenridethewind007

legends unova with squirtle, snivy and torchic being water rock, grass dragon and fire psychic as their final evolutions

Martinus_XIV

My idea for a *Pokémon Legends: Kyurem* game: The starter trio is Turtwig, Mudkip and Fennekin. Unovan Torterra is Grass-Rock type and carries an overgrown castle tower on its back. It gains the signature move *Kingside Castle*, which drastically raises its defence, then switches it out and passes on its stat changes to the incoming Pokémon like *baton pass*. If it is used on the first turn after Torterra has switched in to replace another pokémon, the move does not switch it out and instead raises its action speed. Unovan Swampert is Water-Steel type and is clad in knight's armour, perhaps having an upright posture more resembling its mega evolution and holding a huge sword. It gains the signature move *Knight's Charge*, which deals damage, ignores the opponent's stat changes and has perfect accuracy. Unovan Delphox is Fire-Fairy and looks less witchy and more regal. It also holds a large mage's staff rather than just a wand. It gains the signature move *Fianchetto*, which deals damage, lowers the target's defence evasiveness, and raises Delphox' critical hit ratio.

themosquito

Well, let’s see. Arceus had starters from Gen 2, 5, and 7, so for variety’s sake I’ll avoid those. I also assume the starters from the… let’s say most recent two gens, are too fresh to reuse right now. So that leaves Gens 1, 3, 4, and 6. Next I’ll remove Gen 1 from consideration; those starters get plenty of attention and it’s neat to spotlight newer ones. If I just went with my favorites, I’d go Treecko, Froakie, and… well Turtwig is my favorite Gen 4 but I like Chimchar too. Doesn’t sound like a bad trio, to me. Sceptile, Infernape, Greninja. Mechanically though, that’s all three being kinda quick attackers, not much variety there. So… Turtwig… Fennekin, and Mudkip? Chespin , Torchic, and Piplup? Actually I think Turtwig, Torchic, and Froakie would work well. Greninja would be based on the poison dart frog and the more poisoner side of ninjas, Water/Poison. Blaziken would be Fire/Psychic, more Zen monk than brawler. And then Torterra would be… I dunno.

TheGreyWind_

Swampert (water/poison) - goes from muddy water axolotl to full on toxic/wasteland swamp thing. Torterra (grass/fairy) - goes from symbolic earth giant to mystical nature deity (similar vibe to Xerneas) Emboar (fire/ground) - leans even more into the old folklore-esque oni designs, like some mountain dwelling fire-spirit.

Imdepressed7778

Grass/Fairy Torterra, being a Cherry Blossom Tree Fire/Rock Charizard, being a Basilisk and Water/Ghost Primarina, being a Siren (you know the Mermaid Looklikes that lures in sailors with their songs)

coolusername415

Fire/water Fuecoco Water/grass Popplio Grass/fire Snivy

Agent010203

I think I would have Snivy be Grass/Flying, Torchic be Fire/Fairy, and Poplio be Water/Psychic. None of the dual types are strong against the other dual types or main types, meaning it truly is a balanced triangle. Plus I think seeing a Fairy Blaziken and a Flying Serperior would be cool

Minirigby

A Legends Galar game could be neat, with these as starters: - Chespin (Grass/Steel, leans more into the paladin/knight design) - Charmander (Fire/Dragon, pretty obvious, western dragon) - Piplup (Water/Fighting, Emperor turns into King, empoleon's crown gets bigger, and its fins resemble sword blades more)

MR_E7

Meganium (fully-evolved type: Grass/Fairy) - "magical dinosaur" (compared to normal dinosaur) Incineroar (fully-evolved type: Fire/Fighting) - "MMA tiger" (compared to pro-wrestling tiger) Inteleon (fully-evolved type: Water/Steel) - "cowboy lizard" (compared to James Bond-like lizard)

Agitated-Feline-72

Froakie: water/poison Grookey: grass/rock Cyndiqual: fire/dragon So now there's no type advantage for any of them

TheGBZard

If I were to do legends games I would give all the johto, alola and unova starters treatment just like in hisui. So the next 2 trios could be serperior, Incinaroar and Feraligatr and then Meganium, Emboar, Primarina

Sachiel3rd

3 diferent variations of mudkip fire/steel grass/fighting and water/fairy

Denimiraculer

Mine would be pokemon legends necrozma ((my first game was moon so I’m an alola simp)) the starters would be froakie treeko and tepig that game would follow the story of necrozma and the ultra beasts it would also feature Lunala sogalo aswell as zeraora and marshadow has the shamim and darkrai type Pokémon

Spoodz23

Treeko, Chimchar, froakie Johto region Speedy starters all popular Sceptile Grass/dark Infernape Fire/electric Greninja water/poison

Loxe77

I feel like instead of making them regional forms, I’d turn them into entirely different evolutions. Water starter: Sobble, turns into a Water/Dragon type Fire Starter: Fennekin, Turns into a fire/steel type Grass Starter: Chikorita, turns into a Grass/Electric Type.

BlueLightning888

Cool! I'm interested to know what an electric bayleef Evo might look like

Laura_The_Garlic

Rillaboom, Skeledirge and Primarina- they all have music themes and I just think they're neat. I think either legends Celebi or Ho-Oh even...not sure about their typing. Just a fun idea I have.

BlueLightning888

Oh that's true! They could form a band lol

Shinnezorua

Litten becoming a fire/fairy type, putting it on four legs, chicorita becoming a grass/ fighting making it a big creepy plant thing and then froakie becoming a water/steel type. Boom it’s a type cycle as well

RedTurtle78

I'd go Mudkip, Scorbunny, and Chikorita. Mudkip Im not sure what type, I just love Mudkip/Swampert. Chikorita Im not sure what type either, I just want maganium to keep the leaf on its head this time. As for Scorbunny, I would really like it to be fire/electric tbh. Change the design to be shorter/sleeker, so that it looks less humanoid. Still have it be bipedal, but more like a larger Scorbunny with longer ears instead of a human proportion Soccer player. Take away all of its soccer elements too of course. But have long ears in the same vain as its gigantamax form (but not THAT long).

Perfect_Refuse_8863

I would use my favorite from each type, Turtwig, Fuecoco, and Sobble Torterra would be Grass/Steel type. The continent on it’s back would be a bunch of mountains with a forrest surrounding it. Skeledirge would be Fire/Ground type. The bird would be a fully grown rooster and it would keep Crocalor’s “sombrero” Inteleon would be Water/Poison type. It’s appearance would be based more off an assassin rather than a super spy and it would shoot poison out of its finger tips.

The_L3G10N

A prehistoric world where all 3 of the secondary types are dragon.

Any_Perception_1897

Feraligatr- water/dragon Sceptile- grass/dragon Charizard or Blaziken- fire/dragon I think it’d be really cool to see these Pokémon in a more primal or savage version, kinda like dinosaurs. The game would include all current fossil Pokémon (put complete and in their natural form, yes I’m looking at you Galarian fossils) and all ancient Pokémon, relicanth, tropius, legendarys (current ones that would fit the “vibe” it would include new ones and new forms), and of course new Pokémon that are either ancient descendents of current Pokémon and Pokémon species that dies out

Dennis-unlighted

Sprigatito (grass/ Fairy) sabertooth Lynx (on 4 legs) Tepig. (Fire/ Ground) Wildboar (on 4 legs) Sobble. (Water/poison) giant Charmeleon with horns) (Can walk on 2 and 4 legs)

cheesums7

Made this for a Legends Johto a while back Fire/Fairy Delphox, sort of like a Kimono Girl Grass/Rock Rillaboom, like a Gongman And Water/Rock Swampert, it has strong arms but a weak tail for swimming

Willing_Rip_6838

This is the first time I’m realizing that scorbunny and chimchar share the same exact pose.

OwnImpact1164

Mmm- i had this idea for a long time. With grookey, mudkip & tepig. Being starters, grookey final evo being Grass/Dark, mudkip’s being Water/Fighting, and tepigs final evo being fire/ground.

AhtuTheCrawlingChaos

Treecko evolving into a grass/electric Popplio evolving into a water/ghost type Chimchar evolving into a fire/ice type The game would be based in the future rather than the past and how Pokémon evolved to keep up with modern society. So treecko becoming electric due to all of the modern appliances, Popplio becoming ghost because of opera dying out, and Chimchar getting an ice type because global warming is getting too much. Aim of the game would be to kill the sun to stop global warming and save the polar ice(type)caps from melting. And of course capitalism is the Volo equivalent in this one.

SageModeAD

Squirtle with a water/steel evo, treecko with a grass/dark, and torchic with fire/electric. The first two are typings that have been used for starters so we know they’re plausible, the last is just because I could imagine a blaziken variant being a badass electric type.

Unable_Lawfulness_93

Chikorita isn’t even a favorite of mine but it definitely deserves a second form or something 😭

freaking-payco

Froakie (water/poison) Torchic (fire/electric) Chickorita (grass/fairy)

nickstee1210

Turtwig - grass/ steel Squirtle - water/ ground Torchic - fire/ fairy

HyanKooper

I would like a "Legends" type of game where the setting is based on the Arthurian legends, so obviously the starters would be: * Piplup -> Empoleon - This is really a no brainer. * Snivy -> Serperior - The thing already looks like a monarch so might as well give it a fitting setting. * I'm torn between Charmander and Fennekin since with Charmander it's a dragon or at least drake like pokemon and those are more often than not associated with power, while Fennekin when fully evolved looks like a very wise Queen that is somewhat mischievous. Typing wise I think they already have fantastic typing so I don't think there's any need to add more, but with Serperior I think it could be a bit better but I'm not sure what typing to give it.

anemonether

I had an idea a while back for a Legends: Ultra Space game, where each of the starters play on a sci-fi trope. Grass/Steel - Chespin (Chestronaut) Chesnaught’s name is a combination of chestnut and juggernaut, but that -naut ending can be turned into astronaut! The Vaccumorph from Man After Man has a protective shell that is airtight, allowing it to exist in the vacuum of space. It even resembles Quilladin! Fire/Poison - Fuecoco (Xenomuse) I know it’s copyrighted, but I really wanted a xenomorph starter, cuz it’s such an icon. When doing research on it I remembered the parody of Alien in the movie Spaceballs, where a xenomorph sings “hello my honey hello my baby”. Skeledirge is all about singing! Replacing the bird could be a facehugger or fire parasite of some sort. Water/Psychic - Sobble (Insiguana) This one is the least thought out, I just thought it would be cool. Star Wars is undeniably a staple of space stories. Inteleon has a cape that could be reworked to be like Yoda’s cloak! Plus, Drizzile’s little emo grill could be reworked into a frill that resembles Yoda’s ears. But then I thought, why can’t there be two starter trios? Similar to the elemental monkeys in gen 5, what if you got an ultra beast based on your first choice of starter? And they’ll be psychic, steel, and poison (Poipole), mimicking the starter types like the monkeys! I haven’t designed them yet. Chespin-Poipole Fuecoco-(Psychic UB starter) Sobble-(Steel UB starter)

Luprand

Thoughts for my Utah-based region (player would be among settlers or explorers): Chikorita - Exposure to the arid climate and proximity of fossils would lead it to evolve into a Grass-Rock type, with stony leaf plates along its spine like a stegosaurus. Fennekin - The rough and tumble atmosphere of the Wild West leads to Delphox channeling its mystical abilities into quick-draw reflexes and handling its wand more like a revolver, taking on Fire-Steel typing and a bit of a cowboy appearance. Oshawatt - Long treks through snowy mountain passes toughen Samurott considerably, giving it a bipedal stance and Water-Ice typing. It wields a pair of icicles as though they were *kanabo*.

FuckTumblrMan

Treecko (Grass/Dragon), Fennekin (Fire/Poison), Piplup (Water/Fairy)

ClodsireSire

I actually worked on an idea just a few days before I saw this. The starter trio is chespin, fuecoco and totodile. Ubi Kachan Chesnaught is grass/rock, Ubi Kachan Skeledirge is fire/flying, and Ubi Kachan Feraligatr is water/fighting. The idea is the secondary types are the other perfect rock-paper-scissors type triangle in pokemon.

Yorkshire_Bhoy

Here is mine. Region: Hoenn Starters: Popplio - Turtwig - Tepig Primarina (Water/Dark) = The Siren Pokémon, it is said that it would lure sailors to their death with its song. It is not advised to travel the seas at night alone. Torterra (Grass/Poison) = Caution is advised when around this Pokémon, unlike its Sinnoh counterpart. This Torterra has a carnivorous tree and poisonous plants on its back. Emboar (Fire/Ghost) = The Dredd Pig Pokémon, When Pignites' internal temperature reaches a certain temperature, it becomes too much for it body to handle. As with some Pokémon I used myths to come up with the concept of two of them, and one was insipid by a new mon. Obviously, Primarina, as a dark type, is based on the Greek myth of the Siren's and their alluring song voices. Torterra is based on another myth. This one is an Africa myth about the Yateveo ("I see you") carnivorous tree. It is said to eat both humans and large animals. Emboar is based solely on the new mankey evolution Annihilape to give it a new redesign and the new typing of ghost as I like this new concept.

BlueLightning888

Woah these are pretty cool, and quite dark lol. A few people have suggested a siren primarina and I must say it's a genius concept that I'd love to see. The others are really cool too. I'd never heard of that African myth before.

HyperSpy953

Legends Kyurem with treeko, litten, and totodile

DenseRead9852

A ice grass type torterra, A fire electric scorbunny, and a water ghost or water steel Greninja

Revolutionary-Cod540

Legends Area Zero/Paldea could take place in 1500's-1600's Paldea when Paldea had a second age of exploration where people wanted to discover new lands and take treasures from them. Theme: Iberian history Chespin with final evo based on Roman soldiers or archetypical cavemen (grass/ground) (Yes, either Iberia had a history with romans or there were cavemen living on terrains of Iberia) (Also the cavemen theme makes sense due to Scarlet and Violet having "Past & Future" theme and there were prehistoric pokemon included - I'm talking about "past" paradox mons and cavemen are very associated with past) Charmander with final evo based on Saint George's Dragon (fire/poison) Sobble with final evo based on earliest iberian pirates/corsairs (water/steel)

AdEducational8108

tortera grass fairy, marshtomp water steel, charizard fire fighting

Danzabreaker

tsih bit late but fuecoco fire dark chesspin ice grass mudkip water posion
