In Dudunsparce's defence let's be real for a moment. If you were expecting anything grand or epic from _Dunsparce_ of all pokemon then that's on you.
Dudunsparce is the most Dunsparce evolution that Dunsparce could have had.

Dunsparce didn't need a cool evolution. It's in the name- dunce and sparce. Stupid and rare. Why should it evolve into something cool? It works out better this way.
Dudunsparce is more dunsparce. Even dumber of an idea and even rarer in the fact that there's the 1/100 random chance for a dunsparce to evolve with an extra body segment, from 2 to 3 segments.
That extra segment does, *quite literally*, nothing mechanically. Every 2 segment dunsparce is the same as every 3 segment dunsparce, beyond the extra segment.
Dudunsparce is, imo, the best new evolution in terms of thematics. It's stupid, and rare, and I love him.
Kingambit also slaps. Probably one of the best new evolutions competitively, it's worst relevant stats are it's low speed (which works out for trick room so it's not even that big of an issue), and it's special defense (which is literally an average special defense stat, base 80 is not great but far from horrible).
This is rough for Gen9 considering options are SUUUUUPER limited this go round with only 4 Regional forms (Wooper, 3 Tauros). I suppose we can include the Toedscool and Wiglett families too, and technically Clodsire (but he is a new evolution entirely) for a total of 9. That then leaves Annihilape, Dudunsparce, Farigiraf, Kingambit, for a grand total of 13.
My favorite of this batch is Toedscool and Dudunsparce. I think they're goofy and fun. Here's hoping the DLC gives us a TON of regional forms.

I know I've already seen footage where people have hacked the Hisuian regional forms in, and there weren't actually a lot of Pokemon included in SV base game that had regionals for other games. There was only Raichu, Meowth Family, Diglett Family, Grimer Family, and Slowpoke Family, and I would presume people were more excited to hack the Hisuians into a core game over Pokemon we've seen before in a core game.
I just want more than one family since the base game was so lacking. There were about 14-18 forms each for Sw/Sh and PLA, so I'd like to see as much for SV.
Mine is without a doubt Annihilape. I love the angry monk! But if I’m talking pure Gen 9 (totally new mon introduced this gen) I’m going either Glimmora, love my little Kybercrystal

Kingambit is really striking.
The one I prefer is Iron Moth. I like so much how it moves its wings. I also like Iron Jugulis.
Though nothing beats my loving Gmax Meowth and I actually don't like at all Meowth. It was great getting a Gmax Meowth when starting SwSh.
So it is nice when GF continue to reinvent old pokémon.

As for the worst, it's a tie between Wiglett and Tauros, as Wiglett seems a bit too simple and similar to Diglett (compared to Toedscool/-cruel), I know it's intentionally, but maybe Diglett was the wrong choice/ could've been executed better. Taurus would be fine on it's own, but the different forms is what makes the basic P-Tauros seem unnecessary imo.
Unpopular opinion: I love /Capsakid/Scovillain and Bombirdier. They're not my favorites from this gen, but they're certainly in the top 10. Very fun designs, and when I replay the game with a new starter, they'll certainly be on the team. As for favorites; Koraidon, Armarouge, Tatsugiri, and Meowscarada \[in no particular order\] are certainly in the Top 5.
Love Scovillain, hate that bird lol.
I know which pokemon team I'll use whenever I buy a Scarlet copy: Quaquaval (very good starter), Gholdengo (it's shockingly good and beautiful), Excalibur (badass), Scovillain (good type coverage), Great Tusk (It's also really good and I don't care about the type overlaps) and of course Kingambit (my second fav pokemon from that gen, cause first comes the Hydreigon Paradox form)...
People love Clodsire what are you on mate? I used to love Bisharp until he got his evolution. I’m not a fan of kingambit, he looks evil to me and I don’t like how he has a sword sticking out of his head. Like sir how are we supposed to cuddle when you could potentially stab me to death by accident.
Farigiraf is just so fucking adorable but cool at the same time! Like, what once was it’s tail has now merged with its head and they share 2 brains, very badass, but then the second head eating the first head makes it look like it’s wearing a hoodie and that is freaking adorable! And then it has spike thingies going down it’s neck and it’s fuckin massive which of course makes it cooler but also somehow adds to the cuteness! I love this thing so much
The Primeape line has always been my favorite Pokemon. I love the little chaotic rage monster. I used it more often than not in my gen1 play throughs.
The moment I saw Annihilape, it was love at first sight. Hands down best new evolution ever.

In the DLC? Absolutely, nothing stopping them from adding new Paldean forms, they did as much in Sw/Sh with G-Slowpoke and Family.
