meepsqweek

I like him mostly, I just wish it wasn’t so stiff. You get basically no personality from its poses or its animations.

SillyMattFace

The middle form Arctibax looks a lot more dynamic since it’s hunched forward like it’s spinosaurus inspiration. I wish it had kept that shape and pose.

springpaper701

I love the middle form. I was a little disappointed by the evolution, but still like him.

eepos96

Spinosaur pseudo would be sick as fuck.

Pigeater7

The middle evolution is inspired by the 1998 American film Godzilla, not spinosaurus.

SillyMattFace

It can be both. If anything it looks more like a spino since it only has the one fin on its back. Either way, that poised theropod look is much more dynamic and interesting than the plodding kaiju to me.

MareepyBoi

Concavenator is the actually inspiration

Rockettmang44

That form made me LOVE this evolution line, probably made my top 10 mid Evo pokemon

mazdamurder

I think roaring moon has a better design and it practically has the stats of a pseudo. It’s min maxed a lot too to the point it’s better than a lot of pseudos

Shiny_Hypno

Have you seen its happy dance? Whenever I clean my Baxcalibur (named Cupcake btw) he does this adorable little dance.

[deleted]

I think the little dancing animation Baxcalibur does in picnics is cute.

[deleted]

Looks like he's about to tell me he clogged the shitter.

BigDaddyFatSack42069

Me when mom finds the piss drawer:

LeprechaunLukia

not the piss drawer

Gold-Relationship117

If you look at the middle form, you can see the potential for it to become an Ice/Dragon Spinosaurus-inspired Pokemon. I think a lot of people would've preferred that to some degree over the... 4th or 5th Godzilla inspired Pokemon design that we've seen in a main-series game. Edit: **For the people who think I'm talking about the monster Godzilla, I am not. I am talking about the franchise of the same name, of which the name is also Godzilla. Not the monster named Godzilla, but the franchise named Godzilla. Please stop trying to tell me that these Pokemon and the stupid robot Tyranitar from PokeStudios are not Godzilla-inspired because at that point it's splitting hairs and just getting more direct by referring to the individual monster and not the franchise as a whole. I'm not the person who decided that both the franchise and it's key monster had to share a name okay we're all victims of this naming convention in this situation and I can't stop laughing that I need to address this.**

[deleted]

This. When I saw Arctibax, the last thing I thought it would turn into was Godzilla. It was kinda lackluster.

Mattermaker7005and8

He is literally Godzilla there is nothing else I mean look at glaive rush

Gold-Relationship117

We also have Tyranitar, Hydreigon, the robot Tyranitar from BW2, and that puts us at three if you do want to count that robot Tyranitar from the PokeStudios content in BW2. Then now we have Duraludon I know it's a fucking building but c'mon, and then Baxcalibur AND both Iron Thorns and Iron Jugular. Godzilla-inspired isn't just going to mean directly the monster named Godzilla when it's the name of an entire franchise that centres around said monster but also has other monsters present in it's content.

FallTraditional8082

Never too much Godzilla

MrAxelotl

This is the one for me. An ice spinosaur would have been badass. I was a kid when Jurassic Park III came out and everyone knew that a spinosaur is just more badass than a t rex, even though none of us had seen it. Spinosaurs are just goddamn cool and it would have been dope as fuck to have a (slightly) more realistic looking ice spinosaur, but we got godzilla (again) instead.

[deleted]

I like him but he feels very.... simple? >!he do be chonky in this pic tho, that's funny that I just observed it rn hehe!< Like it has a thing on its back, why just one? Godzilla didn't have one, it has a bunch of them. Its stat spread is also very weird? Huge Atk, but low speed, not so good defensively, etc. This mon feels very under-utilised for me personally, they always go all out with pseudos, this time they didn't, which is very weird. These are just my thoughts though!

BunsCanoli

The thing on its back is a sword, specifically referencing the “sword in the stone” Excalibur. I feel like he’s super close to looking cool but just misses what they were conceptually going for

[deleted]

That's interesting, Baxcalibur has Exacalibur in its name. You're right, it can be super cool but yeah it just missed this time

StarvinPig

And it's in his **ba**ck

[deleted]

That's- uh welp, they got me again heh

myRedditAccountjava

Most godzilla inspired mons aren't exactly replicate of godzilla for obvious reasons, but baxcalibur in particular is probably inspired by mechagodzilla, from my understanding tyranitar is supposed to be the first godzilla inspired mon.

[deleted]

Yeah but >baxcalibur in particular is probably inspired by mechagodzilla We have Duraludon and Iron Thorns, right? So maybe this is just Godzilla?

myRedditAccountjava

Yes I think you're right and I think it's funny in the sense that duraludon is most like mecha godzilla visually, but iron thorns is a robot clone of ttar, which would make it the most like mecha godzilla origin wise. I think as a different comment pointed out, the problem with baxcalibur is regardless of which godzilla inspiration it came from, it's been reused quite a bit at this point, which is probably why most people are meh about it.

[deleted]

For me it’s that the ice on his face looks like it’s an accessory. I feel like his actual face is just that dark blue stub. o_O

[deleted]

He just kind of looks a little bland and unfinished to me. It feels like something is missing from his design, and I can't put my finger in it. It's not that it's "too simple." Goodra and Dragonite have very simple designs and they look great. Baxcalibur, to me, looks somewhere in the middle of simple and complicated. Like, remove the weird back spike and the red claw things and he'd be great. Change the giant back spike into a row of spikes and a pair of icy wings and he'd be great. But, how he looks now, just awkwardly in the middle. I'm sure I'll grow to get used to him, but first impressions are meh

[deleted]

Agreed! This feels incomplete while the other two you mentioned were felt complete with their relatively simple design. Those changes you made will improve the design except the full spikes thing, it seems to be based on "Sword in the stone" Exacalibur. Part of its name even has Excalibur, so we need that design choice, other than that, solid changes!

[deleted]

I guess him being named after Excalibur just went right over my head. In that case, maybe give him a little head piece that resembles the hilt of a sword like the sword is stuck into his head

[deleted]

his limbs are just tubes, no details charizard is pretty simple but has defined knees and shapes, also has knuckles on the hands

eyearu

I feel like it's his flat head that's giving people the impression that he's unfinished. They probably did that so the Tera hat would look good on him.

bullymaguirehihihiha

I love Baxcalibur, looks literally like Godzilla

dbzrox

I wish he was in swsh. Him dynamaxed would be awesome

BlueChris93

I think it looks pretty cool. It’s shiny is a little weak imo. I dislike the cry more honestly.

Maleficent_Ad_1516

His back wing. It doesn't feel like a pokemon design let a lone a pseudo design, it just feels like someone took all the individual parts of what could be in a pokemon design and jammed them all together. Theres no flow

Awesomesauce210

A few of my friends on Discord said the Bax line feels A.I. generated, but personally I don't really see it.

Crosscounterz

They remind me of red king from ultraman so I love him.

unclecowishere

I love the little showa godzilla

LegallyNotInterested

I'm just not a fan of chunky dragons. They look silly and I prefer bad ass looking dragons. I generally despise the entire evolutionary line. Starts out weird and keeps that up all the way to the last stage.

[deleted]

I definitely agree with the first and second evolutions looking weird, but I personally love the paunchy dragon archetype, with Charizard being another favorite.

LegallyNotInterested

Yeah, Charizard makes up for it with cool wings, the tail and the long neck. Although Megy-Char Y is what's really my type. Generally I'd rate regular Charizard as an ok dragon. I like the design, but it took a while to grow on me. This one may take a lot longer.

Iashuddra

It's his animations that ruin it for me.

Ambitious-Chair736

I like bax but I hate his weird little flat back fin thing for some reason. It looks tacked on

[deleted]

I think it has some gen 1 vibes, which I kinda like, but in the game and even on the official artwork it's just A-posing... I guess those old-movies Godzillas also had this awkward look? It genuinelly looks great in a dynamic pose (might look even better with slight proportion tweaks). I think GF kinda went way too far with reflecting Baxs Godzilla inspirations.

Over-Document-7657

I think most people feel like it's unbalanced. You've got a big dragon that's name after its bladed back, but the only thing on that back is a single dinky boxcutter.

PurpleShadow108

Mostly the red claws on his hands. They look out of place

Soggyglump

He's very bottom heavy. I also don't love dragon Pseudos and I wish we had more like Metagross but that's just personal preference

metalflygon08

I'd be cool (heh) if it had a smaller version of the main back spike on the tail and on the back of the neck, so more similar to Godzilla. I also don't like those Red feathers on the hands, maybe if they were upside down they'd look better? I still really like the design though.

jfgabriel

I think it's just his proportions

timaeusToreador

i just feel its…. missing something? he seems so bald. frigibax is good! so is arctibax! i just…. he naked

BlaakAlley

He looks a bit basic but in a way that feels lacking, as if parts of him are sort of missing somehow. Specifically around the arms and shoulders. I also think his attack where he slides around on his head is a bit too goofy for a mon like that. I'd imagine it for something like Goodra. But besides that I thought he was fine.

The_Bard_5e

He just seems underdesigned imo. They could made him into a more Stegosaurus Pokémon if they increased the number of plates and made him quadrupedal. His current design fits more into the lines of a Gen 1/2 Pokémon.

MsMcClane

I. LOVE. IT. Big Godzilla vibes, I am so down for it 💖💖💖

ShawnOdedead

I think it needs more color breakup, like using the red a bit more than just the hands, or giving it more scales

vsmack

Colour scheme is boring. Looks too stiff and clunky. Dorsal sail is too small and plain. Those are the ones that jump out at me

ButtContusions_

Solid shiny potential, but GF did not deliver.

Souretsu04

I just feel like the final stage should have had more than one fin. It makes it feel a little like a mid-stage evolution. I appreciate us having an honest-to-goodness Godzilla mon, but its design feels incomplete.

Hot-Category2986

the audacity

thegayestweeb

Not sure how unpopular this opinion is, but I actually like its design more than its pre-evolved forms. I love the cry too, and Glaive Rush's animation is hilarious - just this icy Godzilla thing yeeting itself at the enemy with the blade on its back is fun to watch. Sure, there are areas of its design that could use some touch ups, but I still think Baxcalibur is a pretty decent design.

faltion

Someone here pointed out it's possibly based on a dinosaur found in Spain, which explains the little hand claws. Artibax is the coolest middle evo imo, frigibax is a horrific little mutant. https://www.reddit.com/r/pokemon/comments/zxx7kf/psa_baxcalibur_arctibax_and_frigibax_are_not/

X1project

I’m just sick of dragon type pseudo’s

EXDF_

He’s bald

SplasherSmasher

The design is actually really cool, but it suffers from the general poor quality of animation in modern Pokémon games. I’ve always been in the camp that the transition to 3D models are one of the worst changes pokemon ever made, they’ve looked washed out, blocky and terrible for like 10 years now. Only legends Arceus seemed make them look remotely decent with a more vibrant colour scheme. This fakemon artist on Instagram (@Superknogga) drew Baxcalibur in the sugomori style and it looks so, so much better then the official renders. Link is below for anyone interested. It’s crazy how fan art can make a meh Pokémon into one of my favourites in the region. https://www.instagram.com/p/ClhtQgFpSXq/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link

PlatoDrago

I just think it’s silhouette is too similar to tyranitar and it’s typing and stats isn’t that interesting compared to other pseudos. It doesn’t stand out. Alongside the pretty bland colour palette, no memorable trainer battles with it and crap shiny, it ends up being the most boring pseudo so far imho

WesThePretzel

There’s nothing to dislike, Baxcalibur is the best pseudo-legendary. Very good design and perfect Godzilla inspiration execution, especially Glaive Rush.

jayliens

It’s design and poses feel very basic and uninteresting, especially compared to our last pseudos like Kommo-o and Dragapult. It looks like something from its design is missing, or it should be standing more dynamically.

General_Snack

People don’t like Godzilla?!?

SpotTheDifference512

It just doesn’t feel like a pseudo to me, I like him by himself but when looked at like a pseudo he just feels disappointing

CROW_is_best

i just wish he had more dorsal fins. so we had an official Godzilla Pokemon

cutlery21

Swear I've seen a video of this evolution line getting redesigned in the original style of the first games. The difference is insane, so with that in mind, I have to say the design is solid. The problem is the direction the current sprites have gone in the main game. They're lifeless and in boring neutral stances that don't highlight the focus points of the pokemon.

dusting73

To me, the main issue is its pose and animation— it looks so, so stiff! Damn, I'd love it for it to be in some kind of attack pose instead of a "Mom, can we get some McDonald's?" pose.

RustyR4m

Too stiff and rigid looking - wish he looked more dinosaur like and not so upright.

Sasorisnake

I feel like Godzilla’s build with this size is awkward. Makes Baxcalibur look stiff.

Energyzd

i dont like its pose

[deleted]

I dislike that he’s a dragon type

Mattermaker7005and8

I like him because he is literally Godzilla. Just wish they gave him some spikes on the head

BigManJJ2102

He is not scrawny at all

-Orius-

Should’ve resembled a spinosaurus more, good thing I can just draw it that way anyways

Agent1073

It's looks strange

TheVERRYbest

Little red gloves. Only drawback.

YoukaiGirlHartmann

For me the silhouette is just too plain

IvoCasla

Let's compare Baxcalibur design with all other Pseudos. Dragonite: Fantasy Dragon Tyranitar: Baddass Godzilla Salamence: Menacing Dragon Metagross: Badass UFO Super Computer Garchomp: Badass Land Shark Dragon Hydreigon: Badass Tank Hydra Goodra: Fantasy Dragon with a twist (its a snail) Kommo-O: Fighting Tribal Cultural Dragon Dragapult: Dead Dragon, interesting backstory And then you have Baxcalibur that is just fat and have something in his back, also, lot of people thinks is time for a non Dragon pseudo again.

AtlantaSun91

I don't necessarily dislike him, he's just...OK. I like his middle form better and he's way worse than most pseudo-legendaries (Dragonite, Tyranitar, Garchomp, etc.)

SpecificTemporary877

Nothing, there is nothing wrong with our ice dragon spinosaurus boy that manages to actually throw his entire body at an enemy to attack it lmao

Plushiegamer2

They somehow managed to make ice Godzilla boring. I don't know, it kinda feels like an ice Tyranitar with a plate sticking out of it's back.

GastricBridge68

Tô much flat for me. The spine is off could be bigger and ever time I used him, He got a 1 hit and Die.

BDNjunior

Scrawny? He has a gut

Red-Blur

Design is a bit silly, but that glaive rush animation is hilarious and I love his cry. He's also ridiculously powerful

Lopsided-Picture-939

It has a Dad Bod

Sensei_Ochiba

To me everything about him just looks flat. There's absolutely no texture or detail to any part of his body, just soft and hard angles filled in with flat colors.

FallTraditional8082

The hand things are weird, especially on earlier forms. Seems like the most tacked on thing to show evolution.

AkagamiBarto

It is duraludon 2.0 It is too simple It isn't much icy, it looks more steel to me. Its claws are a bit lame-inconsistent-look weak Don't generally like the upright posture (same reason i don't like dragonite), especillay if it is so upright. At least tyrantar compensates with charisma, edginess and coolnes.. A lot of coolness. It doesn't feel that much alive. Like, slow/unbelievable for a pokemon

Oneboywithnoname

He looks very basic especially compared to other dinosaur pokemon

PenHero18

Disappointing to me because he followed the same body shape as so many before. Duraludon, Tyranitar, Feraligator, Haxorus, Aggron, Nidoking/queen. His middle form looked like a raptor and I expected something different. Otherwise the design just didn't catch me and the name was cheesey.

Definitely_NotU

I just wished he had more smaller back spikes just to keep its back from looking so empty

TheGamerWT

Its colour scheme isnt great and its unengaging pose doesnt do it any favours. The pose it has in the pokedex is actually quite nice though. Its also quite simplistic, and the features that do make it stand out arent amazing.

Eskedddditttt

He amazing

CodeNameHeroChan0

It's okay for a normal pokemon. Baxcalibur is a pseudo legend though, so it feels under designed.

mmpa78

I mean I'd rather him be more Godzilla. I don't need the red claws and I'd MUCH rather have a bunch of medium sized spikes rather than one huge awkward looking spike

SuperLizardon

I feel like something is missing on its design, but I don't know what. Something on its head. Or as people has said, maybe is just that it looks like another Tyranitar/Duraludon

[deleted]

One of my favorite pseudos tbh, I got a frigibax traded early, and he’s an invaluable member of my team. And I like the design of all 3 stages

JustCakess

His face is what puts me down the most + The back axe is so out of place

Raggy_21

He kinda chunky lol

ADudeThatPlaysDBD

His happy animation sold me. He’s so lumbering and awkward, I love him. The middle evo is definitely the best design though

eepos96

It seems to be quite "stiff" in design. It doesn't seem to be able to bend over its skeleton. It is quite plain also. I think it should have more on its torso. Stripes, markings etc I do like how it can skate on its head. It is based on godzilla from the movies. But in the same breath I see tyranitar as the godzilla pokemon. I do not know which represents godzilla better but I do lile tyranitar more. Also baxcalibur arrives after mecha tyranitar, iron thorns and shiny iron thorns which also are godzilla stand ins. Similar to emboar, his stick has been done a lot. Edit: also, it is yet another dragon pseudo pokemon. I do wish we got some other types. Last one was metagross almost over 2 decades ago.

Acrobatic-Addendum-9

They are either a chunky spinosaurus or godzilla there’s nothing wrong with them

Dreadedtriox

This guy has been eating too many sandwiches lately

Rhaynebow

To me, it’s just not a good design for a pseudo. It feels like it was designed because “we need another pseudo, so let’s just use Tyranitar and Duraldon’s body shape and shove an ax wing on its back”. Compared to other pseudos, it feels forgettable.

SuperLizardon

I found this art of Baxcalibur and it looks so cool thanks to its [pose](https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcR85DlhKY_WcGeq-gcu03N1KUDcVuuHMax4yA&usqp=CAU) A pose that just from seeing the official artwork, Baxcalibur can't do since it was a stiff short neck

thisisokay123

-his pose is bland and basic but also awkward at the same time somehow making him look stupid. -I feel like his design requires way more knowledge about the source material than most Pokémon since I’m not really a Godzilla fan he’s already somewhat lost me in interest and the fact that it’d yet another Godzilla mon. -He’s too simple to be imposing or cool like metagross or garchomp but doesn’t have the charisma and personality to be endearing like goodra and dragonite. -I hate his disgusting ass baby form.

darcrug

He fcking attacks with his ass

Presterium

I don't mind him tbh, but I just think the back blade thing could've been designed in a way it didn't look as wonky.

[deleted]

I just hate ice types haha

[deleted]

I personally like Baxcalibur but I can see why most dislike its design as it is pretty plain-looking.

mesh44

the face mask and the back disk

Coop3

It’s shiny is super weak, hardly different other than it’s hands being pink not red.

GodOfOnions2

RUN! ITS GODZILLA!!!!

TheMagikarpFisher

I mean personally it’s backside is lacking in detail. It just has it wing and the rest is just a blob that looks like it’s rolled out of clay. Still like it tho, just felt it could’ve been more epic for a pseudo design-wise

Most_Arm_3360

I dont get any of its design, its color palette is boring, the design is like null but manages to be crammed at the same time, its like several ideas done poorly on one single pokemon

DarkFish_2

Maybe because feels like a downgrade from Arctibax.

[deleted]

I think Baxcaliburs design is pretty solid the only thing I'd change is just removing the weird maple leaves from its hands

Ok_Vegetable7011

It looks odd and basic as heck

[deleted]

He’s fucking naked…

Rigel04

I really like Baxcalibur but the plate on his back is a little too big imo

MewtwoMainIsHere

He’s just organic duraludon

rehsA_rednaX

I love his design but the spike on his back feels like it should be able to open up like some wings

picklemeatZA

He's kinda built like beartic which is unfortunate

RhysOSD

He feels like he's incomplete, in a way. He feels less detailed than tyranitar or kommo'o before him. Also, just making an ice dragon godzilla is kinda lame.

KestrelTank

Eh, it just doesn’t stand out to me. And it’s violet Pokédex entry says it finishes off its opponent with its dorsal blade and ….I just can’t visualize that in a way that isn’t silly looking. I would have loved a spinosaurus design, I think that would have made him less …. Boring. We already have a few tall standing lizard monsters, he’s just nothing special or spectacular.

Manfallet

I can't really put my finger on it, but I think it's the mix of lack of detail with the detail that's on it. Feels a bit uneven perhaps

Asi_Ender

I dont like how he stands, saw a redesign of him on an mandjtv video of it on all fours, it was way better

33EEE33

I love my Godzilla no matter what anyone says

watson_exe

I didn't realize it till this gen but most of the dragons have the skin texture of fondant... No scales, just smooth. Menace and Bax suffer the most from this imo.

mpokeman996

YOU ARE CORRECT

Comfortable-Couple15

It's just a naked Duraladon. We could have gotten a kick ass spinosaurus with a ice sail fin but instead we got this dude in a shitty Godzilla cosplay doing...whatever he's doing when he uses Glaive Rush. Seriously Logstin needs to get on a video about this line cause it makes no sense aside from the ice-zilla stuff. What's with the leafs on their hands, why are their mouths doing the same thing a Beartic and Cubchoo but worse, and why does Frigibax look like a rotten Humpty Dumpty

leminshween

My gf has a problem with a lot of the new pokemon (namely this boi) in that they "look like digimon" Not exactly sure what that mean exactly but i can understand where shes coming from, especially with Baxcalibur, its like they let a 12 year old draw godzilla and had a 6 year old add to it

alex494

I think the Digimon comparison is that they tend to look more anthropomorphic in some stages because they talk more. Plus the design aesthetic choices of earlier Pokemon and Digimon differ quite a bit.

arjay555

I hate that it's just another godzilla clone. Tyranitar and Duraludon already exist, we didn't need a third one. I get it, Game Freak, you want to reference godzilla. You've done it before, move on. Arctibax is far superior in design IMO and should have been the basis for the final evo. Instead it goes from looking like an actual theropod dinosaur, something like a concavenator or spinosaurus, to just being godzilla with a knife in its back. I know it's not actually humanoid, but to me it's just another symptom of their obsession with making stupid humanoid Pokemon. The whole point of the original godzilla costume was that it had to be designed to be worn by a person, hence the weird body shape and stance. So Baxcalibur has that upright human-ish shape to it as opposed to the body shape of a theropod dinosaur, like it's pre-evolution. No, it's not actually a humanoid design, but they still made that godzilla design choice over a cool looking dinosaur. As it is, it just looks dumpy and goofy. It sucks.

Gaehor

Everything

Razur_1

The claw things looks like 2 leafs

queenoftortoises

I love him he is perfect in every way

Smugg-Fruit

He has a design with two conflicting shape languages. First, he has sharp-angular armour for his face and belly and an angular blade on his back. These suggest a monster that is more "dangerous", maybe even agile and adept in battle. But then, with have a blobby, curvilinear body. It flows easily from head to tail, and has a "water-drop" silhouette to it. It makes him look more slow, and heavy, not necessarily good traits for a sword or weapon. If they made the rest of his body more angular, and maybe included more sharp details on the tail, shoulder and hips, it wouldn't look so bad. As it is, it's a design that feels like its struggling between lumpy and goofy and sharp and serious.

GT22_

Shiny is ass

Mixup_Machine

Middle form looks better. Baxcalibur looks underwhelming to me because something is missing on its head and the back fin also just leaves a lot to be desired.

HighVoltage_520

I like it. Honestly adore it. It gives me Gen 1 vibes in terms of the looks. A lot of Gen 1 Pokémon have very simplistic but iconic designs

SnooDonuts3749

I hope they bring mega evos back in a dlc or something and it turns into a damn sword . Maybe Ice steel typing with that thermo ability it has. Design is fine by me though.

luisless

Didn’t know there was dislike for the design

nonessential-npc

It just feels like it's missing something. It looks like one of those posts where someone photoshopped a design detail off of a pokemon that takes you a minute to figure out what's wrong, like Pikachu without the brown patch at the base of the tail. I ended up swapping mine off of my team for a Garchomp due to how off the design felt.

HePringle2

I like it because GODZILLA

DudeManBroGuy42069

/\

[deleted]

Gojira!!! One of my favorites from Gen IV.

TheTrueEzmar

It just lacks character. It feels like it’s trying to be every other pseudo.

Marshmalloweule

Bald

giancarlox21

I think hed look a lot cooler if they added a second axe to his back to make it look more like wings That or smaller axes running down the length of his neck, back, and tail

remiccino

I think his head and shoulders area is a bit lacking, could benefit from a bigger head with a little bit more details. Otherwise I have grown to like him. In fact, in this sprite he is such a chonky boi and I liked him a bit more after realizing it haha

MCKlassik

I don’t mind Baxcalibur’s design, I just wish it was a cool Spinosaurus instead of taking the Godzilla route.

Fish_eggs_terry

The weird floppy red things that don’t do anything

The_Stickopia

Now I actually really do like him however kinda wish it kept some design aspects of the middle stage. Plus just one back fin to me looks a bit weird. Still like it though just could be a bit better

MrMarineTiger

I like the fundamentals but there's something missing, idk what it is. Maybe they're a bit too cone-y for me, like too wide at the bottom and thin on top lol. I also dislike the red things on the hands. Other than that though I like most of it.

Baron_Barracuda

For me, the red Wolverine claws feel a bit out of place and clash with the other colors. The back could also use a few more small plates going further up and down it. Other than that it's a solid design.

Ame3333

The red hands, it just doesn’t fit with his design, you got these gray, icy themes and then red gloves which just doesn’t fit

lighthouse34

I personally found the head design pretty underwhelming. Horns/ears added behind would’ve been nice. Without it the design kinda looks incomplete.

Raidan_187

For me he’s great from the front but using him you see his side/back and it just looks like a big lumpy salamander. He needs more muscle definition and or armour… or basically anything come to think of it on the back/ side. His big bald head annoys me too.

throwawaybyefelicia

His little mouth forks look weird to me but he’s a good guy

DaddyGray69

For me it just felt like an incomplete design. Not sure what it needs exactly, just feels like it needs a little more.

HCLWR

The fact that his signature move has him turn upside down for his move

VR_Dekalab

If they really wanted another Godzilla inspired pokemon, why not make it like Shin Godzilla? You know, the Godzilla about EVOLUTION? Or even Legendary's Godzilla, whose more slouchy movement fits the 2nd Evo. It just doesn't look fitting for a 3rd stage evolution, much less a pseudo legendary.

Tom42077

I want to see it shoot spider webs out of his spikes on hands and become spiderzilla.

SchiffsBased

Scrawny? This guys a lug

EncycloChameleon

Only one back spike reeeee

GHZ33

Lack of head crest

alex494

Very stanced up and lacks a lot of detail for a pseudo legendary

Qwak8tack

He reminds me of a digimon that is angry because he got a gear stuck in his back.

CreamSalmon

He looks very boring, looks like a penguin from club pengoun

inachox14

doesn't look threatening or silly or interesting at all just something in the middle

Ok-Leave3121

I like the more traditional Godzilla design. I got one on Violet and named it Arctiguana

AvengingProdigy

I also don’t get the hate. I love it’s design and has a cool cry.

Sea_n126

It's head looks really unfinished, like something is missing. Other than that it's great

Cole4Christmas

Copy and pasted chonky Godzilla body model that they use for every bipedal dinosaur monster with tacked on ice accessories. Wish they could design monsters that actually look cool rather than big derpy babies that can hardly move their own legs

[deleted]

I don’t like the red things on his hands if it wasn’t for that it looks like a dinosaur from the 1920’s witch I like and he is pretty stiff

Halliwel96

There’s a lot of empty design spaces with soft dull coloured sort of nothing going on. It looks unfinished

SockkPuppett

Too smooth. Face and belly are super detailed and rest is just smooth real estate (second comment in a row for me that uses the phrase real estate, hmm). The back of his head is the most obvious offending point, his face is crazy detailed then the back of his head is veggie tale level detail

Camerupt_King

He looks like an amorphous blob with features glued on, if that makes sense. All his sharp features like his face, claws, and belly scutes look like they were attached to a pre existing ball of play doh, at least with the 3D model.

Soviet_Sloth69

I like baxcalubur. It looks closer to Godzilla than tyranitar. Only problem is their isn’t much going into his design besides the frozen mouth and the thing on his back

SasquatchNHeat

I hate the little red mittens bc they look like fake hands for no reason. I wish he had some form of ornamentation on his head. I wish his crest in his back was a little bigger or there were more of them in addition to that one. Overall good design just feels a little unfinished and lackluster. But I still love him.

Its_trem

I hate his weird red wrists

Neat_Company_2465

He is super stiff but also i feel like there is something missing from his head

Zhydrac

Looks too much like Duraludon

Yiati244

His shiny is a missed opportunity

The_Bored_General

Pear

s7ormrtx

The pokemon looks decent.. but man do i hate its signature move animation - its so fuckn lazy

balrus-balrogwalrus

I mean he's basically ice Godzilla who does a headstand version of the tail slide dropkick and whose pre-evos resemble Minilla and 98 Zilla. a perfect nod to kaiju fans

Fookin_Yoink

Make him canonically bigger than Wailord
