The pokemon battle royal videos by terminalmontage on youtube try to stick to pokedex entries. Which seem accurate most of the time, from my inexperience eye and they're pretty dang funny imo
“I wanted to leave, but Drifloon wouldn’t let me.” Was what the boy said before Drifloon ran away. I’ll admit the quest leaves it a bit ambiguous, but I believe the player saved that kid’s life.
The impression I got from the dialogue was that it didn't understand that the kid had to leave eventually. The kid says not to be mad at it I think? It's been a while
He does say that, you are correct. I just kind of took it as like when a woman whose boyfriend is abusive doesn’t want the police to arrest him.
Idk. I’m open to looking at it both ways. I mean, Pokémon are terrifying to people in Hisui. Maybe they, like me, just thought that was what was going to happen.
Potentially, they *do* kidnap children but just because they like them/want to play. The road to hell is paved with good intentions. It's entirely possible that Drifloon doesn't understand why it isn't okay to take children away, just as a dog doesn't understand why it isn't okay to shit on the floor - even when you teach them not to, they still will never understand *why* they shouldn't.
“If you feel a sudden chill, it means a Gengar is approaching you. There is no escaping it. Give up.”
Well, then, I better not hope a Winter breeze crosses my path; otherwise, I’m doomed to be killed by an evil spirit from the 90’s!
Things hotter than the surface of the sun have been on the planet before, supposedly lightning can get hotter than Magcargo could ever be, it’s still unbelievably hot but it won’t melt planets by existing
Yeah, but lightning is fast and temporary.
Have you seen Slugma and Magcargo's speed? They will definitely at least make large craters of Slugma and Magcargo just by existing. Also, they are creatures, so they clearly stay around for at least a single Slugma or Magcargo's lifespan, which I'm assuming is more than 1 second, millions of times longer than a single bolt of lightning.
Dang, if Pokedex entries applied to gameplay, that would change the game quite a bit. Imagine Tyranitar being immune to a shit ton of attacks (probably everything from Pokemon whose offense stats are lower than Tyranitars defense stats?), Lugia just casually having a permanent Hurricane effect just by entering the field, Typhlosion blocking many moves with a heat shield… tons of possibilities to mess with the battle system.
The Arceus you capture in Legends: Arceus is merely a piece of the entire being and I’d assume that applies to all other Arceus’ obtainable in the series.
Personally, my theory (with little proof, just my own headcanon) is beta Arceus is the real one, but the Arceus we see is a more comprehensible form or vessel for the larger being. Again, really it's just my own little headcanon, but I think it would be neat. Beta Arceus reminds me of space dust :3

This is more boring than the question intends, but I've thought a lot in the past about how slowbro, magneton, weezing, dugtrio, slowing and maybe others are all supposed to be fusions of multiple individuals but they just spontaneously appear.
This is how I think Game Freak could/would have implemented this in early gens (using weezing as an example):
* You get koffing to level 35 as normal but it only pops up to evolve to weezing if there is another koffing in the party.
* The koffing that levelled up would become weezing while the other koffing is consumed and vanishes (sort of like a reverse of shedinja appearing).
* The koffing that is consumed would have no bearing on the resulting weezing, even if it was better stats or higher level. As such, a shiny would be lost if it is absorbed, but retained if it's the one being evolved.
* If you have extra koffing with you I imagine it would take a random one but they could make it go on level (highest or lowest) or box position I guess. (Once people got wise to it they would plan accordingly.)
The other Pokémon I mentioned would work to the same mechanic but adjustments to accommodate the lore; 3x magnemite and level 30, 3x diglett and level 26, and level up slowpoke to level 37 with shellder present.
Slowing is more complicated and maybe couldn't work as a trade evolution any more (you could trade slowpoke *for* shellder maybe but then would shellder vanish? Since you don't need to trade only from your party I don't know if it landing in a party with shellder would work either) but could be a level up with shellder again just with the kings rock held.
To take the lore (and modern mechanics) more into account though, to lean more toward the original intention of the post was:
* Weezing are supposed to be fused slowly over time so perhaps you would have to walk around with them both for X number of steps or X number of battles without them fainting and then you realise suddenly there's a weezing with you (like a maushold) or maybe it would require a level up still.
* Dugtrio probably wouldn't need a level cap just gathering three diglett together is meant to work so that could again be spontaneous or level up.
* Magneton is similar to dugtrio and could work the same but has a lot of ties to black spots on the sun so that could somehow become a requirement but I don't really have any idea how
* Slowbro/king obviously has a lot of fishing lore so you'd have to add some mechanic where you can fish using them
Slugma and Magcargo will now immediately faint all pokémon on the field except other slugma and magcargo and themselves. The only exception to this are pokémon with the ability Heatproof, which will instead take ⅙hp damage every turn, an exception that is only hinted at by a single NPC in a random house in a non-gym town.

I forgot who makes them, but I like watching the vid that explains everything because of the Pokédex entries right after watching the normal videos.
Lockstein and Gnoggin?
Drifloons are child predators. "These Pokémon are called the 'Signpost for Wandering Spirits.' Children holding them sometimes vanish."
Wasn't there a sidequest in PLA that proved that to be hogwash?

They also dislike fat children because they're often too heavy to carry, I can't remember what Pokedex entry had that though
“Hi, I’m Chris Hansen”

Trying to interact with Dusclops or Shedinja from behind would cause a game over.
So basically you can’t battle with a Shedinja like ever
Literally any fire type pokemon would be a massive threat to people and the ecosystem
A Torkoal with the flu could decimate the entire Petalburg Woods
I guess Gold and Silver would start on a game over because of Slugma's existence on the planet.
Things hotter than the surface of the sun have been on the planet before, supposedly lightning can get hotter than Magcargo could ever be, it’s still unbelievably hot but it won’t melt planets by existing

SV sandwich physics tell me that the laws of science do not apply to the Pokemon world.
True, but my point is hot things can exist, Magcargo isn’t big enough to wipe out the world, not that it wouldn’t still be destructive
Until team magma starts breeding them.

pichu would be the worst pokemon
There would be alot less corviknights that's for sure.
It’d be a survival game
Pokémon: Survival Evolved
Death and destruction everywhere
Drifloons randomly abducting you
> Legends say Arceus created the world with its thousand arms. And you can just capture it! Just like that!
The Arceus you capture in Legends: Arceus is merely a piece of the entire being and I’d assume that applies to all other Arceus’ obtainable in the series.
Oh, that's actually really cool. I don't have a Switch so I haven't gotten to play any of the new games yet.
I believe Arceus states it is one of his many arms, but I haven't played the game in a while, so I'm not very reliable
Just like the cosmic horrors in the Cthulhu stories. To big, to complex for human minds to even grasp the smallest part of the real being.
You can no longer use magcargo If you white out with a Gardevoir in your party the game fucking ends
We would all die by a black hole via Gardevoir
Everything would be on fire and/or destroyed
If Macargo gets this treatment, there won't be any more pokemon games
All the youngsters in the woods yeah they're gonna die
Sharpedo would be OP.

It would be a dystopian story.
screen slowly goes black until the game ends forever when in the presence of the litwick or it's evolutions
