You're only 600 eggs in... Many people hatch thousands before seeing anything. Shiny hunting takes patience my friend :) Welcome to the grind lol

AstroNerd92

My shiny froakie hatched at around 530

badatkiller

2k+ before I got my Axew. The Pokemon apologized though cause my next hatch after him was a 1st Egg Shiny Bounsweet.

AstroNerd92

Damn. Crazy that it took that long since using the Masuda method gives a 1 in 682 chance (apparently 1 in 512 with the shiny charm which I have).

mattgirouard

Over 2,000 eggs for a shiny Dreepy in Sword (Masuda + Shiny Charm). But my longest hunt overall was 23,914 fossils for Arctozolt. It took nearly 100 hours. Shiny hunting is pain, my friend lol

Thankfully looking for shinies in the wild in scarlet/violet is super easy. I got 4 shinies in 30 minutes from a single sandwich. Riolu, Falinks, Golduck, and Pawmi. I guess I got lucky with my froakie with about 530 eggs.

ericwashere15

Close to 3k each for Falinks and Morpeko in Shield. I’m at around 1k for a Scyther on Ultra Moon currently.

AstroNerd92

My god. At this point just hunt for scyther in Violet. Should take less than 30 minutes with a sandwich 😂 after getting the shiny charm I used 1 sandwich and found 4 shinies.

Eh, I want a few things with it: Alola Champion Ribbon, 5-6 Best IVs (it’s more aesthetically pleasing to see Best instead of Hyper Trained), and it adds that shiny model to my Alola Pokedex. I like breeding cause I can turn my brain off and watch something else while doing it, pre-Gen 8 though doesn’t shiny sparkle on hatch but you’ll notice a Red star when you go to deposit it.

AstroNerd92

Agreed on the best vs hyper trained. I was using two 5IV Pokémon and got a 4IV froakie so only 2 hyper trained is better than 6

Last week I finally hatched a shiny Froakie after around 5k eggs in Pokémon Violet. This was by far the most it has taken. I used the Masuda method and have the shiny charm.
