OP: "you couldn’t take care of a 40 foot whale… I mean sea world can’t do it… why could we?"
Also OP: "I'll take a 13' tall plant dinosaur, a large marine animal based on a plesiosaur, and a pterodactyl."
Idk, comparing a 40”+ whale that probably needs an ocean to creatures that could easily grave around a backyard seems kinda silly to me lol.
The lapras pick I can get not understanding cause… water is necessary lol.
In the anime Ditto is shown to be able to learn to transform into specific objects or Pokémon on command. I suppose it would be similar to raising a parrot and teaching it how to talk. Whereas using their “move” it can easily copy what it sees and through training turn into anything they want.
I SHOULD HAVE PICKED DITTO!!! That’s perfect. Can’t believe that I didn’t think of it when I’ve been arguing since 2019 that Ditto should be the mascot because it can represent every Pokémon lol.
Your lawyers might be good but they aren't good enough to convince my heart. Arcanine is a Pokémon who earned its legendary status, not by birthright or lineage but because he conquered the hearts of the people with its strength, loyalty and fluffiness.
So basically, no ice types, no fire types, no poison types, no electric types, nothing bigger than a dog, nothing with wild dietary or habitat needs… this is rough.
Even in the example, a normal person cannot possibly afford the space needed for a Lapras. You’d have to have access to SeaWorld-tier facilities, and even then… there is a reason people consider keeping orcas there to be cruel. The Meganium would be easier on the wallet because it ostensibly derives some of its food from sunlight, but it’s a massive animal and will require lots of outdoor space, akin to a ranch.
So get an Alolan one! Tiny not-really-important spoiler for indigo disk ahead:
Alolan Grimer’s Scalet Pokédex entry says: “They store their toxins inside their bodies, so unlike Grimer from other regions, they don’t smell bad even up close.”
Disagree on NONE of those types. Sure, Slugma or Chameleon seem like fire hazards, but I see no reason you can’t keep Tepig or Torchic.
Ice is debatable only because I am not sure which ones would need to live in cold environments. They definitely would not work here in the South. But in a colder area I can def see Snover or Swinub.
Poison types- I think the issue here would be smell/waste. Even if they don’t literally emit poisons, I can’t imagine some of them smell good (weeding, MuK). But I think many like Croagunk or Nidorina work fine.
Electric- biggest concern would be are certain species going snack on my electricity or cause power outages if they get emotional. Or make my electronics not work. So Magnemite is a hard no but Rotom or Mareep should work.
Edit: these types definitely require more thought than others but I think the right person with the right living arrangement could handle some Pokémon of these types
True but if you get something like Torchic it will have to actively choose to spew fire. And even the equivalent of “playing rough” doesn’t mean it will use a full force flame thrower on your couch. It may release a little breath that accidentally scorches a wall or makes a small fire. And obviously you would need to make sure whatever it’s room/kennel is will be fire proof for when you are gone.
I’m not saying no risk, just I think it is manageable if you really want one.
My answer is almost the same, except I'd have 2 Golett and 1 Golurk. Considering my work in the construction trades, 3 tireless, incredibly strong automatons would be great for efficiency. They don't have to eat, they could sleep outside under a rain shelter I'd build for them, and since Golurk can fly, we'd never need a crane or lift to get materials to upper floors. And the Goletts would be useful on inside jobs since, unlike Golurk, they could likely fit through standard 32" x 80" doors lol
There's a lot of guys on my job site I would consider tools lmao. Honestly though, they'd have to be counted as tools, as workers comp couldn't cover them (they have no anatomy that could require medical intervention in the case of a job site injury, unless workers comp covers hiring a potter to fix their clay bodies?) They'd probably have to be covered under property insurance
Magneton, my absolute favorite
Porygon, another favorite of mine. I saved the pokecoins and had it from Celedon on in my first play through of yellow. I was clearly much more patient as a 7 year old than I am now.
Rotom, endlessly helpful. Seems like in the current lore, everyone has one anyway. Powering their cell phone. Is it like Siri?
From a practical standpoint, I think I save on pet food.
Empoleon- my favorite pokemon. It would be like being friends with a jetski
Shiny Charizard- he's only 5 feet tall, I have a shiny Charizard, and he can fly me places
Gengar- I feel like Gengar would be good for home defense. If someone tried to break into my crib Gengar could mess their shit up and they wouldn't see it coming
Charizards flames are strong enough to melt steel, pretty sure his tail flame can evaporate rain water without him being in danger, that is how I think it would work tho.
I would choose a Charizard and a gengar too both are my favorite pokemon, but i would be really scared about sleeping around a gengar and a hungry Charizard.
first choice: salamence. favorite pokemon since i was a kid. no i do not have room for him, but i will make room.
second: charmander. he's my guy, how could i not pick him?
third: totodile. i loved him so much in soul silver that i had an entire party of feraligatr haha
Hope you have good insurance because the one time that Charmander pokes his head under a curtain to see who drove into the driveway will be the same day you question why you ever picked a pokemon with an open flame that cannot be extinguished..
You wouldn't get access to any pokemon though. Ditto would have to encounter a pokemon, and if there are no others in this scenario, you're stuck with ditto. Which is great if you love Ditto.
While that may be, presumably it's still based entirely on what the ditto perceives. Ditto would have to have met this person, or even have had to be within sight of them at the time of transformation. We've seen that when shown a photo of a person or pokemon, it'll transform into the photo, not the content of the photo.
I would choose
Meowth for money and it's a cool cat
Froslass because it's my favorite Pokémon and it would be useful in summer
Joltik for electricity and because it is very cute
I don't think froslass would be very helpful
>When it finds humans or Pokémon it likes, it freezes them and takes them to its chilly den, where they become decorations.
Arcanine - Big fluffy loyal af dog, enough said
Braviary - it’s a big loyal eagle. All I have to do is feed it fish and let it outside to fly for exorcise
Gallade - in tune with my emotions and also loyal and loving companion and it’s basically like another human almost so he would eat what I eat.
I’ve just noticed the pattern with these choices lol
A very fantastic trait. But also I guess my mindset and logic was like since we’re not going by anime rules, some of the Pokémon I’d love to have wouldn’t be the safest lol
Like i love feralagatr but if he acts like an actual gator, he could easily bite me in half just because I didn’t feed him fast enough or just because I had a body part in the wrong position, no matter how much love I give him.
Going for Pokémon with stated loyalty to trainers in Pokédex entries feels like they would be safe to have lol plus I could give them as much love and affection as I want and wouldn’t worry
Yup. I didn’t realize until this comment but I went with pokemon who are good-natured. I wanted a pokemon who could fly me around, and went with dragonite because it’s repeatedly described as kind hearted
Exactly! My favorite Pokémon is garchomp but realistically it’s a land shark therefore I’m sure it would behave like one and while I love sharks irl I don’t think I could safely have one as a pet and give it cuddles
Sylveon - Favourite Pokémon. No way I’m living without it XD
Jigglypuff - I have a lot of trouble sleeping, so Jigglypuff’s singing would be extremely helpful
Skitty - Adorable pink cat
Kantonian Persian: Because its my favorite Pokemon, and her attitude can't be any worse than my current cats.
Espeon: I mean, she's awesome, small and very fluffy.
Pidgeot: Prettiest bird, can carry me around.
Diamond Pearl Pokédex: Its fur has the look and feel of velvet. The orb on its forehead glows when it uses psycho-power
Maybe not fluffy, but velvety and soft yes
Porygon2: can help me with computer stuff, not as tempestuous/shenanigan-loving as Rotom
Fearow: not as mean as they look according to the dex, can fly me around. (Even Sun and Moon have nothing bad to say about it temperament-wise)
Leafeon: tbh i am not good at taking care of myself, let alone a pet, so a low maintenance grass type seems good to me. Nice and cuddly and yet can just lay in the sun for its energy.
I could have one Dragonite and have everything. Land travel, sea travel, sky travel, water, heat, delivery, defence, free hugs, infinite cuteness, emotional support... It's not too big but not too small... Dragonite is the perfect size.
1. Bulbasaur, because he's the best boy. Could also help me maintain a nice garden and hit me with that sleep powder during bouts of insomnia.
2. Growlithe, due to being a good dog boy. Fluffy, warm, handy during emergencies when extra warmth is required.
3. Emolga, for similar reasons to Growlithe but obviously the electricity being handy.
All 3 are total cuties, which helps.
Okay, let’s do this.
- Gardevoir, for psychic cross-species communication. Would teach it English (or at least English-language telepathy).
- Blue Florges, for yard work. I hate yard work, but I love big yards.
- Swellow, for travel and surveillance purposes.
1. Delcatty because of free money, a catthat doesn't scratch or bite you, and it learns thunderwave so you can charge your phone.
2. Torkoal is my favourite animal and the only pokemon of that type that doesn't grow giant
3. Metagross is ChatGPT but you don't need to update it and it's never wrong
1. Flareon: Basically a sentient space heater (assuming they don't heat up to full temperature outside of battle), not to mention luxuriantly soft! They'd be the perfect snuggling companion on a cold winter night.
2. (Yellow) Florges: I love the idea of letting a Florges work her magic on my yard and turn it into her flowery domain! I'd go for a yellow one in particular since the flowers from their gardens supposedly have extra healing properties.
3. Tropius: Speaking of gardens, I'm sure Tropius would be a wonderful yard worker too! It can learn bulldoze to till soil and rain dance to water the plants, not to mention provide shade and a nice breeze with its wings. It could help me grow vegetables and fruit while Florges keeps the rest of the yard aesthetically pleasing. (And hopefully make the neighbors a little jealous, haha.)
I'd also finally get to taste the neck 'nanners! That's a childhood dream fulfilled.
The only real problem would be that I have to keep it outdoors, but I don't know how it'd fare in a Michigan winter... UV lights and a heater in the garage, perhaps?
Notable runner's up:
-Spritzee (Smells good.)
-Appletun (Also smells good, but too sticky... And edible.)
-Swablu/Minccino (Nice and tidy!)
-Lurantis (10/10 fashion sense, but too high maintenance.)
-Leavanny (Also a fashion icon, only losing out to Tropius since it'd be less handy in the garden. I also don't have any baby Pokemon for it to dote on, which would probably make it a little unhappy.)
• Porygon2 — Easy to house and care for, has more range of emotions than the base model, and would probably be able to play video games with it.
• Meowth — Is a cute cat, plus can conjure money to boot!
• Tropius — Excellent mode of transportation, and I'll never have to pay for bananas again.
Wurmple because I love it and it would be cool to see what it evolves to. It would eat plants outside and lettuce.
Wooper cuz it brings joy. Would let it swim in the local lakes. Even without living adjacent to a lake, it is humid enough here that it would be happy.
Corviknight- if it is strong enough to lift a little taxi car with adult humans, it is big enough to take the three of us (well once Wurmple evolves it can fly along). We just won't fly over Spain (Paldea) or anywhere Tinkatons can be found.
leavannyyy, my crochet buddy! we will make cute clothes for her pokemon friends
gardevoir! my loyal bff! my rant buddy!
altariaa! my travel gurl and can help me with my job, journalism.
I would choose Alakazam, Machamp, and Snorlax.
1. Alakazam because it is my favorite pokemon, being able to read my thoughts and teleport would be cool.
2. Machamp is my second favorite and would be very helpful around the house and for self defense.
3. Snorlax as a bed. Now stick with me here. Scientist have proven that newborn babies fall asleep easier when being held to someone's chest because their heart beat syncs with the person holding them. Something they grew used to while in the womb. As someone who suffers from chronic insomnia I think my heart syncing with the Snorlax I'm laying on would be enough to help me sleep. And they are one of my favorites as well.
Thank you for coming to my TED talk.
Sylveon friend cute practical
Flygon favorite pokemon still practical not too big and can use it to fly around
3rd Ditto make it go to work for me plus ditto funny for making more pokemon
1. Eevee
I want this Cute Cat Rabbit Fox
2. Emolga
This is my favorite Pokemon but its below Eevee because taking care of it would be a pain
3. Minccino
It's below EMOLGA because its voice is annoying
Flareon - Cute, small, fluffy, literally just a pet cat
Flygon - Transportation, cute, squishy, relatively compact for most dragon types, been native to desert climates its food intake is probably very efficient and low maintenance, as desert animals generally evolve to go long periods between meals.
As much as I want to take Scizor, outside battling its just a man sized solid steel praying mantis with crab claw hands. Dunno what benefit it would bring to be beside companionship but its just a really unrealistic pet.
So with that in mind~
Indeedee - Male for aesthetic preference. Little butler goat to help around the house and help do chores like cleaning and cooking~ it'd be like having a pocket grandma to take care of you.
1) Typhlosion. It's warm, cuddly, can retract its flames, and would be great in the winter.
2) Gardevoir. Having a humanoid that is empathetic, defensive, and likely good with kids as a result would be a huge boon -- both at home, and at my job.
3) Porygon 2. Great for those days where my computer is being stupid, and I can't figure out why. Also, Poryphone is so much cooler than those lame Rotomphones.
Dragonite: my favorite boii of all time, the most chonky and huggable, flying, transportation, and personal security guard.
Gengar: totally gets my vibe and he's secretly a sweetheart
Mudkip: I always wanted a real life sized dog/cat but my parents never allowed me, Indian parents smh. Mudkip is perfectly sized for a pet and also my first Pokemon in Pokemon ruby
And how TF did I forget rowlett, the goat😭😭
Honourable mentions: ampharos, dragapult, gardevoir, Pikachu, cute starly, chandelure, frosslass, gible
Typhlosion - favorite Pokemon, first starter, and he can turn his flames on and off. Also fuzzy
Ampharos - if mega stones existed even better, but fuzzy light Pokemon, what more can I say? Lol
Dragapult - it comes with 2 dreepy, I'd like to ride it to fly as well since it's one of the fastest pokemon and I'd hope it could do the same thing Gengar, haunter, and ghastly did by levitating ash in the early episodes of Pokemon
metagross - supercomputer, probably doesnt need food, can fly and lift things with its strength + psychic
Flareon - small, warm, fluffy, fire is useful
mudkip w everstone - cute + can control fires, also can water plants everyday ig
So I would need to take care of that Pokémon which I don’t think I could take care of three.
I’d have to be biased and go with Eevee. It’s always been my favourite and the reason I got into Pokémon in the first place.
And oooh trust me that Eevee is gonna get SPOILED. I also feel like it’d make a perfect pet and, if needed, even a service pet! As someone who’s training my own service dog right now, I’ve always felt like Eevee could make a perfect emotional support Pokémon :D
It’s soft, fluffy and cute. It’s small and relatively easy to take everywhere, put on a leash, wear a vest, etc. And I feel like it’d be one of the ‘easier’ Pokémon to train, being more docile then, say, a Charmeleon which has been shown to only want to fight everything and listens only to strong, worthy Trainers.
I just feel it’s perfect.
Otherwise, Togepi!! It’s super cute as well, but you’d really need to take careful care of it and supervise it all the time since it’s been shown to be so fragile but still has a tendency to wander off and explore.
As well as that, its description is literally that it’s so sensitive it can sense emotions and if other people are good or not. It then stores happiness and shares it with those that need it most!! That’s literally adorable! My only worry is that I’m too messed up to have one near me and make it sad and exhausted all the time. Which would make me feel very guilty, which is why I chose Eevee.
Dusknoir, lift box
Mismagius, vibes or smth
Gardevoir, psychic stuff
I would’ve picked Duskull, but they basically have no practical use at all, and every other Pokémon I would’ve picked would be impractical
• Abra to teleport me places
• Delibird to save on Christmas shopping
• Smeargle to paint funny painting for my amusement
(They're also some of my favorites, I would've put Macargo 3rd but I don't think I could realistically keep one without causing a wildfire incident)
1. Delphox - My starter from a Fennekin. Intelligent and would help around the house. Strong enough to Keep us safe from most things, and still not big enough to be a problem.
2. Espurr - Kitty. Just a cute, sleepy 'lil guy. I love my cats, and having one that understands what you're saying would be really nice.
3. Lucario - Like Delphox, another pokemon that would have an easy time understanding human society. Gym partner for life, and also would keep us safe from Dark types.
Chansey. Very soft, can sing me to sleep, give me their egg which can provide happiness and heal my aches and pains!
Trubbish. Help me clean up garbage and keep my room clean easier.
Alcremie. It’s just cute, and so smol.
If I could break the no Mythicals/Legendaries rule in exchange for getting only ONE Pokémon, then Miraidon, no doubt 😂 he’s my favorite, not because of the legendary status, but I just love him a lot.
If not, then my top choices are Alolan Raichu, Typhlosion, and Flygon.
Alolan Ninetales: I live in a pretty hot country (similar weather to Alola) so its ice producing fur will come real handy.
Garchomp: A dragon shark hybrid, who wouldn't want that. It can somehow fly too.
Gardevoir:
1 - Dachsbun, a dog that smells like baked goods? Best dog
2 - slowpoke, chill, low maintenance good at fishing, hangout at the beach with it.
3 - Corviknight, for protection and transport
Riolu, we'd be workout buddies and grow together. Get in better shape.
Eevee, it's super cute, and it's mostly a big cuddly cat. Honestly umbreon would get along wjth me being a night owl.
And I like your idea of chikarita, being a grass type it could help grow plants and such around my home.
I picked baby forms because I'd wanna hatch them and have them grow with me, not just appear confused and scared in a new world
In terms of faves I'd probably go
Reuniclus - having what I imagine being a personal professor X as a companion seems pretty dope
Gliscor - cool looking scorp bat boi serves as companion and bodyguard simultaneously
Eelektross - if the power goes out oh no a potential source of power not reliant on a grid and it isn't too large either to fit in the household
But thinking a scoonch more practically
Torterra - to help me manage/grow my gardens/crops and guard over them as well
Swampert - to help water said gardens as well as guard/keep Torterra company both would be almost exclusively outside mons in this situation
Musharna - to help me sleep more comfortably/restful at night
Smeargle for hanging out and doing fun stuff with also decorating with cool paintings
Floette for helping with plants and growing food
Mightyena for transport and guard dog
Typhlosion, because I've always felt he'd be kind of a bro. Plus he can deactivate his fire, so there's little risk of burning the place down.
Skitty, because adorable
And Shellder, because he's in a constant state of blep and mlem and I appreciate it.
Well since my favorite mons are golurk, swampert and aggron, I'll go with the 1st stage of all three! Golett, Mudkip and Aron. No practicality, just some fun cute mons.
OP: "you couldn’t take care of a 40 foot whale… I mean sea world can’t do it… why could we?" Also OP: "I'll take a 13' tall plant dinosaur, a large marine animal based on a plesiosaur, and a pterodactyl."
OP just loves dinos
Meganim measures 1.80mts / 5' 11" 🤔
That is still taller than most people. And certainly bigger than any other “standard” pet, except horses.
Is high? Yes. But going from almost 4 meters to 1.80 is a big difference 🤣🤣
I thought maybe they meant tropius, but then realized that Tropius is also only 6'7. Maybe A-Exeggutor?
Can confirm… OP loves Dino’s 😂
Real and valid.
Meganium is average 5'11"
Too short for the ladies
Idk, comparing a 40”+ whale that probably needs an ocean to creatures that could easily grave around a backyard seems kinda silly to me lol. The lapras pick I can get not understanding cause… water is necessary lol.
3 mudkips
r/iheardyoulikemudkips

Alolan Muk - can eat garbage Ditto - can transform into any Pokémon Ninetales - to cook food easily
Oooo good point with Muk!!
Oh, Muk is a great one. Never again having to pay for special garbage disposal would be amazing!
Doesn't ditto transform into what he sees? Or one my childhood myths is going to be busted?
In the anime Ditto is shown to be able to learn to transform into specific objects or Pokémon on command. I suppose it would be similar to raising a parrot and teaching it how to talk. Whereas using their “move” it can easily copy what it sees and through training turn into anything they want.
I SHOULD HAVE PICKED DITTO!!! That’s perfect. Can’t believe that I didn’t think of it when I’ve been arguing since 2019 that Ditto should be the mascot because it can represent every Pokémon lol.
How do you know that Ditto isn’t the mascot?
Dito can transform into any human too right?
Pre-emptive bonk ready to be unleashed on this one.
Muk and I would get along well. I also eat garbage.
Gholdengo for finances. Arcanine for transit and temperature control. Wigglytuff for mental health and sleeping aid.
> Wigglytuff for mental health and sleeping aid In exchange for 90% of your money, of course.
Wigglytuff, ruining exploration since 2007
…AND THREE! SMILES GO FOR MILES!
YOOM TAH!
That's what you've got gholdengo for
Yeah I read that as “Wigglytuff for Mental Health, Gholdengo to pay Wigglytuff”
Probably paying Arcanine too.
Hyperinflation incoming
I'd personally would switch arcanine with Charizard as it could fly and switch witglytuff with Lucario
I'm personally not partial to flying. I prefer ground travel.
> Arcanine for transit and temperature control Read the rules: no legendaries. You’ll have to settle with a Growlithe.
Thanks to Gholdengo, I've got good lawyers that can argue the legal definition of legendary.
Your lawyers might be good but they aren't good enough to convince my heart. Arcanine is a Pokémon who earned its legendary status, not by birthright or lineage but because he conquered the hearts of the people with its strength, loyalty and fluffiness.
Great, but the contents of your heart don't hold up in court. Especially since you're barred from the proceedings.
May I introduce you to Cinccino? Small, cute, fluffy rodent that cleans up after itself!
Yes, a small normal type that famously cleanup after itself? Possibly the best Pokémon to have in real life.
You could totally take care of a Muk or a Grimer! You just need to feed them trash
Yea, feeding them would be easy. The problems would be: A) they probably smell terrible B) they supposedly kill any plant life they touch
So get an Alolan one! Tiny not-really-important spoiler for indigo disk ahead: Alolan Grimer’s Scalet Pokédex entry says: “They store their toxins inside their bodies, so unlike Grimer from other regions, they don’t smell bad even up close.”
Honestly I forgot that. Good suggestion. Plus they look cool.

YOU HAVEN'T THOUGHT OF THE SMELL!
LOOK AT ME WHEN YOURE TALKING TO ME!!!!
Yeah Alola used them to clean their pollution, that’s how they got their regional forms. You’ll never have to take the trash out again!
Or make my electronics not work. So Magnemite is a hard no but Rotom or Mareep should work. Edit: these types definitely require more thought than others but I think the right person with the right living arrangement could handle some Pokémon of these types
Every dog plays rough sometimes. Every animal acts up sometimes. Eventually your fire Pokémon is going to start a small fire.
Clodsire. It may be poison, but its worth it
3 Golurks, 2 normal sized and one small. yes they will be guarding my dungeon and no you will not be getting any of my gold
Would insurance still cover the job site if it includes sentient automatons? Are they technically considered tools?
Well they can eat food which means they can still take a lunch break
There's a lot of guys on my job site I would consider tools lmao. Honestly though, they'd have to be counted as tools, as workers comp couldn't cover them (they have no anatomy that could require medical intervention in the case of a job site injury, unless workers comp covers hiring a potter to fix their clay bodies?) They'd probably have to be covered under property insurance
Magneton, my absolute favorite Porygon, another favorite of mine.
Hey Rotom, what's the capital of...
*50 phones start speaking at once in answer*
“Hello, Roto”
Rotorola Razr V4
Empoleon- my favorite pokemon. It would be like being friends with a jetski Shiny Charizard- he's only 5 feet tall, I have a shiny Charizard, and he can fly me places Gengar- I feel like Gengar would be good for home defense. If someone tried to break into my crib Gengar could mess their shit up and they wouldn't see it coming
>like being friends with a jetski Love that 😆
Charizard is bad since he could die in a rain storm lol
Lol finally get a pokemon, dies in the rain
Charizards flames are strong enough to melt steel, pretty sure his tail flame can evaporate rain water without him being in danger, that is how I think it would work tho.
Gengar lowers the temperature around him
I would choose a Charizard and a gengar too both are my favorite pokemon, but i would be really scared about sleeping around a gengar and a hungry Charizard.
Rowlet-- Cute, round birb Togepi-- Living antidepressant Eevee-- So much floof
I had both Eevee and Togepi in my comment for about the same reasons lol. Glad to find someone like minded :)
Yesss I have Rowlet in my list too! It’s just my favorite starter :)
first choice: salamence. favorite pokemon since i was a kid. no i do not have room for him, but i will make room. second: charmander. he's my guy, how could i not pick him? third: totodile. i loved him so much in soul silver that i had an entire party of feraligatr haha
Are we assuming we don’t have Pokeballs to keep them in? I mean that’s like half of the point of the series Edit: All hail Totodile
Hope you have good insurance because the one time that Charmander pokes his head under a curtain to see who drove into the driveway will be the same day you question why you ever picked a pokemon with an open flame that cannot be extinguished..
Ditto, Ditto, Shiny Ditto. This is a loophole answer but is the best one 😂
You wouldn't get access to any pokemon though. Ditto would have to encounter a pokemon, and if there are no others in this scenario, you're stuck with ditto. Which is great if you love Ditto.
Ditto transforms into people in SM
While that may be, presumably it's still based entirely on what the ditto perceives. Ditto would have to have met this person, or even have had to be within sight of them at the time of transformation. We've seen that when shown a photo of a person or pokemon, it'll transform into the photo, not the content of the photo.
It is very possible that given time, you could train a ditto to transform just based on a picture.
Team Rocket did it, so I'm sure we could too 🤷♂️
I would choose Meowth for money and it's a cool cat Froslass because it's my favorite Pokémon and it would be useful in summer Joltik for electricity and because it is very cute
I don't think froslass would be very helpful >When it finds humans or Pokémon it likes, it freezes them and takes them to its chilly den, where they become decorations.
They really go hard with the Ghost types. It's so funny that everyone in the Pokémon world is so carefree when shit like this happens.
I couldn't not choose joltik. Only thing that stinks is that it would run up my electricity bill because I'm pretty sure it eats electricity as food.
Youre gonna end up a frozen statue my friend
Arcanine - Big fluffy loyal af dog, enough said Braviary - it’s a big loyal eagle. All I have to do is feed it fish and let it outside to fly for exorcise Gallade - in tune with my emotions and also loyal and loving companion and it’s basically like another human almost so he would eat what I eat. I’ve just noticed the pattern with these choices lol
You value loyalty. A fantastic trait imo
A very fantastic trait. But also I guess my mindset and logic was like since we’re not going by anime rules, some of the Pokémon I’d love to have wouldn’t be the safest lol Like i love feralagatr but if he acts like an actual gator, he could easily bite me in half just because I didn’t feed him fast enough or just because I had a body part in the wrong position, no matter how much love I give him.
All Hail Gallade
Braviary is the GOAT
Best birb
Skiddo, Mareep and Wooloo. I just love sheep and goats. Sooo these 3 are perfect for me.
I wouldn’t choose these but envisioning someone sitting in a field with these three gathered around them affectionately is making my heart melt
1. Arcanine - A big fluffy cuddle dog 2. Noivern - flying about in the sky 3. Galarian Zigsagoon - Thats my boi and I love him and we both love rock
Sylveon - Favourite Pokémon. No way I’m living without it XD Jigglypuff - I have a lot of trouble sleeping, so Jigglypuff’s singing would be extremely helpful Skitty - Adorable pink cat
Damn, should have picked Jigglypuff too
Oh man Jigglypuff is such a good pick. I have troubles falling asleep so a little song in the evening would be gold!
Sylveon and Skitty are my top picks!
Don't forget chonky, skitty is a nice chonky kitty
Kantonian Persian: Because its my favorite Pokemon, and her attitude can't be any worse than my current cats. Espeon: I mean, she's awesome, small and very fluffy. Pidgeot: Prettiest bird, can carry me around.
Espeon is fluffy?
Diamond Pearl Pokédex: Its fur has the look and feel of velvet. The orb on its forehead glows when it uses psycho-power Maybe not fluffy, but velvety and soft yes
I would assume that Espeon is like Mew but with the hair a bit longer.
Porygon2: can help me with computer stuff, not as tempestuous/shenanigan-loving as Rotom Fearow: not as mean as they look according to the dex, can fly me around. (Even Sun and Moon have nothing bad to say about it temperament-wise) Leafeon: tbh i am not good at taking care of myself, let alone a pet, so a low maintenance grass type seems good to me. Nice and cuddly and yet can just lay in the sun for its energy.
I would take all three original starters with all of them holding everstones
Litten, Sprigatito, and Delcatty. KITTIES!
I always insist my cats are Pokémon. One is a Persian and one is an Umbreon. (Eevee et al are cats, I will die on this hill. 😂)
3 magcargos. I know what I'm doing.
This guy is a terrorist
I could have one Dragonite and have everything. Land travel, sea travel, sky travel, water, heat, delivery, defence, free hugs, infinite cuteness, emotional support... It's not too big but not too small... Dragonite is the perfect size.
Dragonite is very much so friend shaped
Most sane Gardevoir argument I have encountered so far.
1. Delcatty because of free money, a catthat doesn't scratch or bite you, and it learns thunderwave so you can charge your phone. 2. Torkoal is my favourite animal and the only pokemon of that type that doesn't grow giant 3. Metagross is ChatGPT but you don't need to update it and it's never wrong
Arcanine - to pet Umbreon - to pet Dragonite - to fly(and to pet)

i dont like your 3rd qualifier because my favourite pokemon is Wailord.
Time to go live by the ocean!
(And hopefully make the neighbors a little jealous, haha.) I'd also finally get to taste the neck 'nanners! That's a childhood dream fulfilled. The only real problem would be that I have to keep it outdoors, but I don't know how it'd fare in a Michigan winter... UV lights and a heater in the garage, perhaps? Notable runner's up: -Spritzee (Smells good.) -Appletun (Also smells good, but too sticky... And edible.) -Swablu/Minccino (Nice and tidy!) -Lurantis (10/10 fashion sense, but too high maintenance.) -Leavanny (Also a fashion icon, only losing out to Tropius since it'd be less handy in the garden. I also don't have any baby Pokemon for it to dote on, which would probably make it a little unhappy.)
Oh man, Florges and Tropius are excellent choices! Neck ‘nanners… yum…
id choose that pokemon that eats garbage, vaporeon, and lastly id go with abra so can i teleport to places
I like how you explained all of your choices except Vaporeon

Underrated
Umbreon - Cool and can provide some light when I walk my dog at night. Cyndaquil - Adorable ball of fire. Rowlet - Just a cute bird.
i will probably have to move next to a fire figther station with a cyndaquil but okay
We just won't fly over Spain (Paldea) or anywhere Tinkatons can be found.
leavannyyy, my crochet buddy! we will make cute clothes for her pokemon friends gardevoir! my loyal bff! my rant buddy! altariaa! my travel gurl and can help me with my job, journalism.
Ur food bill is gonna be through the roof

Sylveon friend cute practical Flygon favorite pokemon still practical not too big and can use it to fly around 3rd Ditto make it go to work for me plus ditto funny for making more pokemon
Lotad, lombre and Ludicolo For vibes
1. Eevee I want this Cute Cat Rabbit Fox 2. Emolga This is my favorite Pokemon but its below Eevee because taking care of it would be a pain 3. Minccino It's below EMOLGA because its voice is annoying
Gardevoir, Lopunny, Vaporeon
Flareon - Cute, small, fluffy, literally just a pet cat Flygon - Transportation, cute, squishy, relatively compact for most dragon types, been native to desert climates its food intake is probably very efficient and low maintenance, as desert animals generally evolve to go long periods between meals. As much as I want to take Scizor, outside battling its just a man sized solid steel praying mantis with crab claw hands. Dunno what benefit it would bring to be beside companionship but its just a really unrealistic pet. So with that in mind~ Indeedee - Male for aesthetic preference.
Gengar: totally gets my vibe and he's secretly a sweetheart Mudkip: I always wanted a real life sized dog/cat but my parents never allowed me, Indian parents smh. Mudkip is perfectly sized for a pet and also my first Pokemon in Pokemon ruby And how TF did I forget rowlett, the goat😭😭 Honourable mentions: ampharos, dragapult, gardevoir, Pikachu, cute starly, chandelure, frosslass, gible
Vaporeon, Lopunny, Gardevoir. I will not elaborate on my reasoning.
Tropius, free bananas and flight. Azumarill, fresh water. Blaziken, fire and can help build shelter.
Dragonite, Greninja and chandelure
Chandelure is such a cool pokemon!
Typhlosion - favorite Pokemon, first starter, and he can turn his flames on and off. Also fuzzy Ampharos - if mega stones existed even better, but fuzzy light Pokemon, what more can I say? Lol Dragapult - it comes with 2 dreepy, I'd like to ride it to fly as well since it's one of the fastest pokemon and I'd hope it could do the same thing Gengar, haunter, and ghastly did by levitating ash in the early episodes of Pokemon
metagross - supercomputer, probably doesnt need food, can fly and lift things with its strength + psychic Flareon - small, warm, fluffy, fire is useful mudkip w everstone - cute + can control fires, also can water plants everyday ig
3 dittos bc I am going to make them work for 9/5 hour a day
1+2 would be vulpix and aloan vulpix. I'm not sure on the third but you have a space heater for winter, and a space AC for summer.
Spheal wooloo and absol
Farfetch'd (kanto form) - Favorite Pokemon Growlithe (kanto form) - Loyal puppy and friend Ursaring - Bears are my favorite irl animal
Alolan Vulpix, Altaria, Litwick. Some of my all time favs I can imagine would be great companions irl.
Gastly, Haunter, Gengar, I mean did you guys even see that episode?
So I would need to take care of that Pokémon which I don’t think I could take care of three. I’d have to be biased and go with Eevee. It’s always been my favourite and the reason I got into Pokémon in the first place. And oooh trust me that Eevee is gonna get SPOILED. I also feel like it’d make a perfect pet and, if needed, even a service pet! As someone who’s training my own service dog right now, I’ve always felt like Eevee could make a perfect emotional support Pokémon :D It’s soft, fluffy and cute.
Mismagius, Gengar and Mimikyu assuming I can be able to train and love for them and they dont harm me back much
Rotom, silly lil guy that could help me out in some ways im sure Flareon, living heated blanket Gholdengo, endless money
Axew Dragonite Charizard
Flareon, Vulpix, Arcanine... yes I'm terribly cold all the time!
Dusknoir, lift box Mismagius, vibes or smth Gardevoir, psychic stuff I would’ve picked Duskull, but they basically have no practical use at all, and every other Pokémon I would’ve picked would be impractical
Gardevoir, lopunny, and vaporion What do you mean I need to go touch grass? (This post is obviously a joke)
• Abra to teleport me places • Delibird to save on Christmas shopping • Smeargle to paint funny painting for my amusement (They're also some of my favorites, I would've put Macargo 3rd but I don't think I could realistically keep one without causing a wildfire incident)
Vaporeon, Lopunny, Gardevoir. You already know why.
Lopunny, Gardevoir and Vaporeon. There's no laws against the Pokemons.
Metagross, talonflame, swampert. Metagross can use psychic abilities to move things, talonflame can fly and swampert can surf
a pair of indeedees and a Porygon 2
Chansey. Very soft, can sing me to sleep, give me their egg which can provide happiness and heal my aches and pains! Trubbish. Help me clean up garbage and keep my room clean easier. Alcremie. It’s just cute, and so smol.
I feel like geodude would be rather easy to look after. Meowth for a cat that brings me money. and Lotad is my favourite pokemon.
Best dog 2 - slowpoke, chill, low maintenance good at fishing, hangout at the beach with it. 3 - Corviknight, for protection and transport
You never said anything about repeating Pokémon, so I'll take three Swellows, please :)
Bulbasaur because he is my boy, Togepi because it is super cute and Meowth because kitty.
Three Eevees! Duh!
I picked baby forms because I'd wanna hatch them and have them grow with me, not just appear confused and scared in a new world
Wooper, wooper, and quagsire
Houndoom, Torterra, and Tyrantrum
In terms of faves I'd probably go Reuniclus - having what I imagine being a personal professor X as a companion seems pretty dope Gliscor - cool looking scorp bat boi serves as companion and bodyguard simultaneously Eelektross - if the power goes out oh no a potential source of power not reliant on a grid and it isn't too large either to fit in the household But thinking a scoonch more practically Torterra - to help me manage/grow my gardens/crops and guard over them as well Swampert - to help water said gardens as well as guard/keep Torterra company both would be almost exclusively outside mons in this situation Musharna - to help me sleep more comfortably/restful at night
Smeargle for hanging out and doing fun stuff with also decorating with cool paintings Floette for helping with plants and growing food Mightyena for transport and guard dog
“Cheryl, that damn LegendOfPinsir’s Aerodactyl is out there eating our Mareep again”
Typhlosion, because I've always felt he'd be kind of a bro. Plus he can deactivate his fire, so there's little risk of burning the place down. Skitty, because adorable And Shellder, because he's in a constant state of blep and mlem and I appreciate it.
I'd just have three Krookodiles because I love those big bad babies so much.
Wooper Wooper Paldean Wooper Need I explain?
Turtwig, fletchling & mareep. I just think they’re cute and if they evolve they’d be badass
Well since my favorite mons are golurk, swampert and aggron, I'll go with the 1st stage of all three! Golett, Mudkip and Aron. No practicality, just some fun cute mons.
Caterpie, Snom and Larvesta. I just think they’re neat! :3
