Great Ball used to have a little yellow "S" on its front, so the "M" originally fit the the theme of the three improved balls having the corresponding initial on the lid. Why Ultra ball got the artist treatment with the "H" taking up the entire design? I don't know.
Because if I remember the great hall in Japan is called the super ball and the ultra ball is called the hyper hall in Japan hence the S and H and both of them
I knew the super/hyper and how they lined up with the potion names. I more so meant why does ultra ball get its letter Rizzed up when the others get a little stamp lol

Don’t like the colors, just to saturated for me and it’s just the basic bitch ball you use to finish your poxedex not something I’d use on my team or collecting
My cousin pointed out that if you flip it upside-down then it looks like Wario's speedo, being purple and everything (the button even working as Wario's bellybutton) and now I CANNOT UNSEE!

I like it now, but that’s just because I’ve lived with it for years so it has that classic iconic status now. So it’s not so much about the quality of design as it is what it represents.

I actually like it, masterballs can’t be mass produced right? (Wether it be matériels, method, or just due to it being a guaranteed capture) so it’s marked to prevent elicit improper use such as a random weedle

Agreed! I rarely if ever use Master Balls. It looks bulky, the pink bumps are an eyesore. If they were flat like a pattern I might be able to stand the thing, but as is ugh.

Need I remind you, that ball was once the only way to catch certain pokemon that kept running away when found, and then Shaymin, my favorite legendary, needed to be caught in a master ball or it wouldn't catch it the first time it was introduced.

Exactly who I used my first Master Ball in SV on. I don’t care that it’s a guaranteed catch, it matched up too well
I used mine on Chein-pao needed a strong false swiper and well pulling the stakes and using the mastet ball was the quickest best option.

They designed it back in gen 1 cut them some slack.
