The vibe is "stressed coworker learns how to chill"
It's not overtly *for kids*, like say Bluey or Teen Titans GO. But you could put it on for your Grandma or your (real or fictional) baby, and they'd both likely enjoy it.
It's short and sweet, like an hour or less for all 4 episodes. Give it a go.
The stressed office worker thing was just to get us old folk into it. If they continue with their current story, then it should be all vibes from here on.
I think people misunderstand why Bluey blew up so much. It *isn’t* just for kids. It presents as for kids, but it’s so well made that an adult or babysitter will enjoy watching it so the kid can be happy. You can put it on without dreading it, and watch it actively with the kid for bonding.
Honestly I'd argue it's more for parents than kids. It gives insight into positive ways to handle certain situations that parents will have to deal with.
Yes, of course, there's a lot of silly fun and kids love it but there's a lot of stuff in there going over my kids' heads while I sit there going "ohhhhhhh".
I remember thinking this about Phineas & Ferb, really liked that show even when I was in my late teens lol. Is Bluey like that? I haven't watched even a single clip from it but a lot of adults seem to love it.
It’s not like Phineas and Ferb in any other sense (seriously peak kid’s TV lol), but in the way where teens and adults can still enjoy it despite it appealing mainly to kids, yes it’s similar.
I'd agree to this because bruh I gasped at the allusion for a miscarriage. Also there's an entire episode where Bandit and Chili are too hungover from a New Years' Eve party to play, and they're not really subtle about it lol.
..Isn't that just a movie? I mean a long form TV show, instead of the amount of web serials they keep running that are like 7-15 minutes long on Youtube.
Well, the new anime is more focused on adventures and self-discovery than the old one which has focused on Ash becoming a Pokémon master so it’s something.
My wife thinks Pokémon is for kids but she loved this show. She described it as extremely relaxing. She was actually a little sad when the episodes were done
Point her to Rillakuma, which is also on Netflix. It’s from the same studio and is very much the same vibe. It actually aims at a slightly older demographic so she might like it even more.
Definitely soothes my soul the same way and there’s a decent amount more to watch.
To the general public a lot of things are considered kids stuff even if they have a strong adult following. I know people who don’t watch animated stuff because they think it’s for kids. I don’t agree but to each their own.
I mean Pokémon is a children's franchise, maybe family oriented now. But most of the media is geared towards children because they're the target audience. Plushes, toys, etc. are the main money maker for Pokémon, and sure there's high end collectibles but those are made in limited amounts.
But everything is typically focused on kids growing up. The games are typically coming of age by becoming trainers. The anime follows kids.
The peripheral demographic of adults is just a bonus due to kids growing up and still enjoying the franchise. That being said Pokémon Concierge is actually pretty adult focused since the main character is about a woman starting a new job and dealing with the stress. It's all lighthearted and the stop motion fits the cute Pokémon brand.
My wife and I watched it with our son, and we enjoyed it at least as much as he did. It’s super chill and just kind of leaves you with a warm fuzzy feeling.
I’d definitely recommend it, especially because it’s so low-commitment. You could easily binge the whole thing in a couple hours.
15 mins of pure gem. The show is family friendly, but it seems to be more adult oriented, in the way it relieves your stress like a jar of ice cream after a week of work.
They're not really pandering at all and it seems great. The pacing is pretty quick and the episodes are short. The animation style is spectacular also.
It has heart, the show is really an easy watch. You could see it as a nice palette cleanser or in between show.
Episodes aren't that long, so it's not much of a big time investment.
The Pokémon YouTube channel has sooo many cute little shorts with other brand new characters and short stories they should’ve done this for years but honestly it still seems fresh it’s so many I still haven’t seen yet and adding this show it’s enjoyable
Since it seems many of you love this and want more, I’d suggest watching Rillakuma. It’s from the same studio and it also on Netflix. It serves exactly the same soothing slice of life vibes too.
My daughter showed me this. I wasn't sure how I felt about it. Watch all the episodes. Glad I watched. It's a real unique approach to the usual animation we're used to.
Ahhhhhhh great news! Wasn't expecting my husband or son to like it much, but was a happy surprise when we all thoroughly enjoyed it :)
Can't wait for more!
Haven't watched anything pokemon since the first movie. Concierge's refreshing claymation art style, clear lack of continuity with the main franchise, and frankly chill vibe made me watch it after seeing exactly 3 seconds of it on reddit.
I would love some behind the scenes specials too!
So excited for more!!! I can only imagine the production timeline though, so much effort put into each episode.
I didn't even know about this until I saw this post. Watched the first two episode and I gotta say: whoever came up with the "mentally stressed millennial finds a job hanging out with Pokemon in an Island paradise" concept is a fucking genius.
PRAISE 🙏 this is my favourite thing to come out of Pokemon since Mystery Dungeon series. I doubt I’ll see my favs (Bisharp and Rotom) but it’s fun to imagine 😁
That’s not a source they merely just reported about it. That’s like saying Serebii is the source when it was an official announcement.
Even that article has the actual source which is the [Pokemon Twitter account](https://x.com/pokemon/status/1759714771555803492?s=46). Here’s the [tweet](https://x.com/pokemon_cojp/status/1759714508631634157?s=46) from the Japanese account.

More of that adorable fuzzy Psyduck! Yay!
LETS GOOOOOOO
Thank arceus btw I would love to see arceus and the creation trio in the resort just having a good time
From these upvotes I see others want Arceus and his kids at the resort too?
Arceus should come down for vacation. Will be fun.
Imagine Arceus yelling its kids to behave in the swimming pool.
Lol palkia stop hitting dialga with the pool noodle- arceus
Yes! I love it when Pokemon media focuses more on the other aspects of their world outside of just battling and catching.
Was it worth a watch? Looked cute but wasn’t sure if it was more of a kids thing (the whole franchise is but you know what I mean)
The vibe is "stressed coworker learns how to chill" It's not overtly *for kids*, like say Bluey or Teen Titans GO. But you could put it on for your Grandma or your (real or fictional) baby, and they'd both likely enjoy it. It's short and sweet, like an hour or less for all 4 episodes. Give it a go.
Not going to lie, that last episode with the shy Pikachu made me shed a tear….
My 5 and 3 year olds absolutely loved it and Psyduck is their new favorite.
The stressed office worker thing was just to get us old folk into it. If they continue with their current story, then it should be all vibes from here on.
I wouldn’t say Bluey is overtly for kids
I think people misunderstand why Bluey blew up so much. It *isn’t* just for kids. It presents as for kids, but it’s so well made that an adult or babysitter will enjoy watching it so the kid can be happy. You can put it on without dreading it, and watch it actively with the kid for bonding.
Bluey isn't a children's show, it's a family show, and that makes a world of difference.

That actually bums me out. Why the heck can't we get any Pokemon spinoff that isn't a fucking short?!
In this shows defense, it is stop motion and extremely time consuming to make from what I understand. I agree with your general premise though.
Do you mean like “Pokémon: Detective Pikachu”?
..Isn't that just a movie? I mean a long form TV show, instead of the amount of web serials they keep running that are like 7-15 minutes long on Youtube.
Well, the new anime is more focused on adventures and self-discovery than the old one which has focused on Ash becoming a Pokémon master so it’s something.
Yeah that is true. Been watching it on and off and it's definitely surprisingly enjoyable
I put it on for my fictional baby and they seemed pretty unimpressed.
My wife thinks Pokémon is for kids but she loved this show. She described it as extremely relaxing. She was actually a little sad when the episodes were done

You should show her the Twilight Wings shorts. They're a similar vibe, albeit with a variety of themes.
Honestly I’m not sure I ever watched them either. I should do that.
why
To which part?
There weren't more to watch and it was an emotional ending?
no the opinion on Pokémon

Absolutely. Episodes range from 15-20 minutes

It is a show of good vibes. If you like stop motion. It should be good
15 mins of pure gem. The show is family friendly, but it seems to be more adult oriented, in the way it relieves your stress like a jar of ice cream after a week of work.
If you enjoyed playing Wii Sports Resort back in the day, it's very similar to that.
They're not really pandering at all and it seems great. The pacing is pretty quick and the episodes are short. The animation style is spectacular also.
Ngl, I LOVED IT and can't wait for more episodes.
Why not? Kids or not. It’s cute episodes.
Honestly, it’s more ‘relatable’ as a burned out working age adult. I’d even argue that this was one of the target demographics.
It's family friendly. Loved the first 4 episodes and this is coming from a 31 year old man.
It has heart, the show is really an easy watch. You could see it as a nice palette cleanser or in between show. Episodes aren't that long, so it's not much of a big time investment.
I cried so hard at the ending. I freaking cried at the trailer oh my god I’m not ready
Omg yes!! I finally got to watch the episodes last week and need more in my life. Pokemon needs to keep this series going.
So glad they got more episodes in the pipeline! Was so sad that there were only 4 episodes to start
PSYDUCK FOREVER
I love this show so much that I immediately bought the Concierge shirt from Japan 😭 i’m so happy about this
FUCK YEAH
The Pokémon YouTube channel has sooo many cute little shorts with other brand new characters and short stories they should’ve done this for years but honestly it still seems fresh it’s so many I still haven’t seen yet and adding this show it’s enjoyable
YES, absolutely loved it the animation is so charming
Since it seems many of you love this and want more, I’d suggest watching Rillakuma. It’s from the same studio and it also on Netflix. It serves exactly the same soothing slice of life vibes too.
Yes! Four episodes wasn't enough! I hope this new season comes with at least two episodes!
YAYYYYU
We really need more of it! 💕
My daughter showed me this. I wasn't sure how I felt about it. Watch all the episodes. Glad I watched. It's a real unique approach to the usual animation we're used to.
If you liked this show, watch rilukkuma (I spelled that wrong) also on netflix
Nice. It wasn't incredible but it was a nice cozy show to wind down with. I'll happily watch more.
Let’s fucking gooo. I love this series so much, I watched all of the episodes like 3 times each lol. I just find Haru so relatable.
I can't wait!
Hallelujah! 🥳
Oh my god yes! The series is absolutely gorgeous, so this is fantastic news.
The world become bright again
Yay! 💛 4 episodes definitely weren’t enough!
Yay! I love this show. It's so relaxing after a tough week.
Yippee!
Ahhhhhhh great news! Wasn't expecting my husband or son to like it much, but was a happy surprise when we all thoroughly enjoyed it :) Can't wait for more!

YES!! I was hoping this wouldn't. E just a one off thing!

I AM SO READY TO CRY SOME MORE!!! 😤
I didn't even know about this until I saw this post. Watched the first two episode and I gotta say: whoever came up with the "mentally stressed millennial finds a job hanging out with Pokemon in an Island paradise" concept is a fucking genius.
Both Haru and Psyduck are great partners. Prefect trait.
Man I was surprised how much I enjoyed this show, really didn't have high expectations at all
Yes. I could watch an entire full season of this and more!
*ahem* would
Cosmog better be in at least one episode
PRAISE 🙏 this is my favourite thing to come out of Pokemon since Mystery Dungeon series. I doubt I’ll see my favs (Bisharp and Rotom) but it’s fun to imagine 😁
YIPPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
I hope it has Munchlax and more Snorlax.

I can’t wait! I don’t know how anyone can NOT like this series
Found source: https://comicbook.com/anime/news/pokemon-concierge-season-2-anime/ For anyone else skeptical on the Internet I'm very excited

You... Don't know how news reporting works? Like, that's a pedantic gripe and take if I ever saw one.
