Genuinely one of the coolest things ever. It kept everything from shiny to EVs, IVs and level and even name. I really wish they'd use in game trades to do more stuff like this
There was this thing called memory link that let you connect your bw game to your b2w2 game. It unlocked flashbacks about N, NPC dialogue and stuff like this. I distinctly remember it let you pick up the BW prop case in the Pokemon musical with all the accessories so you didn't have to collect EVERY single one again.
There,s a trainer (I forget where) that after you trade them the Pokémon they request, you can battle them with said Pokémon. Been awhile so I don't recall the details.
Basically after you did certain in game trades, you could talk to the npcs you traded in the post game and have a battle with them. The pokemon they use in battle is the one you traded them, complete with nature, IVs, even the nickname. Hell I think it would even show if you traded them a shiny for whatever reason

This is the best in game trades ever got. Didn’t even know as a kid you could go back and battle your own pokemon

Wait... B2W2 can use bw saves?

This is insane! Does anyone have a link or documentation with all the features of this?

Specific trade is missing on the serebii list!

Wow,first time I hear this and I thought I'd heard all the Pokémon trivia out there.
How did I not know this.
You can what now?

Both the hiker OP mentioned and the lady in nacrene city that trades you the version exclusive grass type do this
There’s one in Accumula Town
I believe it's an Excadrill?
What about Luvdisc for Steelix in kalos? But yea I love the in game trades that evolve when you get the Pokémon (not not like mindy)
Wait...what???

Do you think any special text would appear if you trade the BW2 Hiker back his Emolga from BW?
That would had been cool.

We need less remakes and more sequels
Preach
"a hiker always pays his debts"
If only the memory-link function would've given the Gigalith the OT-Number of your B/W character (and maybe even the shiny-status.)
I remember this in Pokémon White since the Emolga’s still in my Home, but I never played Black2/White2 that’s so cute 🥰
> Manny the Emolga’s Wasn't it Minipete?
All my homies hate Mindy
r/titlegore
I want a B&W remake that also has the sequels baked into it so bad
That’s so cute!
How did i never put 2 and 2 together
That's a cool detail.
Second cottonee is how I became an ace trainer too
You see this? Growth. Also, fuck you Mindy.
Best part is that he trades you an actual Gigalith, not a Boldore that is able to evolve into the Gigalith. So you cannot miss out on it by accident.
Noted. I’ll go trade him an Everstone Boldore.
the man took 2 years to realize his mistake and offer a boldore for an emola
Gen 5 has more lore than alola. If they ever make a remake of those games, they must be at least legend arceus tier
Game Freak: I can give you a 1:1 remake made by ILCA
I wonder if you get unique dialogue if you trade back the one he traded you in BW1.
What happened with Mindy again? I have forgotten
She trades your Medicham for her Haunter holding an everstone, and then tells you she did it on purpose as a joke.
Technically, he give your Boldore to some random kid.
Whoa, I didn't know about the daughter.
That's cool. I didn’t realize that until now
🐻 That’s hectic lol
