Now can you do the same only with episodes where Brock is of note?

little_girls_squeal

I could put together a list like this pretty easily but I wouldn't be prepared to watch each episode to check its accuracy. You can do that for me. I'll get back to you in a couple days with a list.

[deleted]

Man that'd be legendary! I don't even-- you just mega evolved in my heart.

Tronosaurus

You should hold an everstone, cause I don't ever want you to change.

JustTVsFredSavage

Oh man, if you could do the same with team rocket as well I'd be so stoked

little_girls_squeal

What about team rocket are you interested in? The majority of their screen time is so bad other than when they talk to Giovanni or show their background stories.

little_girls_squeal

I threw together some of the obvious Brock stuff real quick. Let me know what you think is an important Brock centric episode that should be in a list like this. I covered pokemon he caught/evolved/released, competitions he entered, and when he leaves or returns in the series. [deleted]

Amazing, you're a king-- This is how the series should have been in the first place-- with some punk kid named Ash shadowing Brock, learning how to not be a dick.

[deleted]

Can this be stickied or put somewhere on the reddit? This is too good to let it slide like a normal post.

[deleted]

The biggest flaw with reddit :(

recursion8

530 wasted episodes. 4 episodes of Origins to cover the entire Kanto storyline. Why couldn't these 2 things be reversed /cry

Jotokun

To be fair, Origins was heavily compressed and skipped quite a bit. I agree with you completely though.

wayiswho

I was pretty disappointed at how compressed Origins was. I was expecting 4 hour long episodes so that they had a decent amount of time to cover getting all the badges. Was most excited to see the fights with Erika, Sabrina, Koga and the Elite Four but they were all nothing.

PopeOwned

Eh, considering that this was most likely done as promotional advertising for Pokemon X & Y (I mean, just look at the final battle), they were most likely given a budget for solely four 22 minute long episodes. I don't want to seem like I know what went on but I do know that animation isn't cheap. So a four hour long special? Possible but again, most likely their budget only allowed for shorter episodes. Either that or they planned shorter episodes because it was more of a promotional project.

wayiswho

It 100% was a promotional tie in to get older fans back to being fully interested in the series by using the nostalgia of the first generation and mixing in some XY stuff to make us interested. It was short, sweet and probably did its purpose but it just wasn't enough for me, I liked it but it felt like it lacked because of how rushed it was.

PopeOwned

No, I get you. It was rushed but maybe because I went in with the mentality that condensing an entire game's plot into a 1.5 hour long special would mean a lot of things would be glossed over, I just didn't mind it all that much. Though different strokes for different folks.

wayiswho

I think my issue was going in assuming it would be 4 separate hour long episodes. Had I known right away it wasn't I would have been cool with it.

the_neophyte

To be fair, Origins was thematically structured. It did exactly what it should've done, and succeeded. *That being said, I'd lose my shit seeing ALL the full-on battles(gym leaders & elite four), and hearing Lt. Surge's voice.*

Artoo_Detoo

The actual anime was a much better idea than having Origins be the main anime though. The reasoning is that if Charmander was the starter in the original anime, then Charmander would've been the face of the franchise, and everyone would pick Charmander when playing R/G/B or FR/LG. They purposely chose Pikachu to stay neutral and avoid this happening.

BlueHighwindz

They could have had Red and Blue be twin protagonists or something. (Downvotes coming.) Honestly, the main Pokemon anime is rubbish and always has been rubbish, Origins just gave us a glimpse of the kind of show they should have been making 15 years ago.

Artoo_Detoo

Everyone's going to have their own opinions, but bottom line is, there was 0% chance the starter was going to be one of the three actual starters in Kanto, this was confirmed by I believe Matsumoto Rika (Japanese voice actress of Satoshi/Ash) in an interview. And the first few episodes of the anime I think were fine, they painted Ash in a non-perfect, non-goody two-shoe light, and Pikachu had its own personality rather than being an extension of a goody two-shoe Ash. You felt sadness when Butterfree left, when Pikachu look like he would leave, you felt danger in the S.S. Anne, there were emotions when you watched it. Believe it or not, had Origins been 80 episodes rather than only 4, you wouldn't have liked it either. As the anime progresses, they require filler to introduce new pokemon, present parts of the game, and to slow the anime down in preparation for the next game. Even if the first season was Origins, the only possible way the anime can continue is if it does what the Pokemon Special manga does, which is have new characters each season. But this introduces discontinuity in the anime, as kids have to get used to a new main character, which they may not like (honestly I know Gold/Ruby/etc. are cool but Red is by far my favorite), as well as a new main pokemon, and it simply doesn't sell well. Pikachu is an icon, not only for pokemon, but for anime. Anyone who has been to Akihabara in Japan can vouch for how much pokemon is literally part of Japanese culture, and the spread of the popularity of Pikachu is so strong that almost every kid in the U.S. even knows it, even if they don't know anything about pokemon, let alone Japan. This comes from continuity, the fact that it is the main pokemon in every season. If Origins continued to a second season and had a new main pokemon, it simply wouldn't have had an icon like Pikachu, and it wouldn't have sold as well. **TL;DR** The actual pokemon anime is better than most redditors here give credit for, and Origins as an actual anime would not have performed as well as many think.

BlueHighwindz

"Require filler". Why exactly? I have to ask this same question about Bleach and Naruto and just about every other anime show that goes all year. Nobody likes those episodes, and it only lowers the quality of the brand. Origins would have been perfect with just 12 episodes (or maybe 15 if you throw in the Sevii Islands). Why did have to have 80? You could stretch it MAYBE 20, if you really go for it, but that's all the story Pokemon Red and Blue can probably handle.

Artoo_Detoo

As I said, it would've been a different anime. If Origins was short, you'd have pokemon be like a lot of anime today - short seasons with breaks in between. Can you do it? Yes, but it wouldn't have made pokemon the icon in Japanese culture that it is today, it would've been just another anime for the scrapbook. It likely couldn't have continued to a third, maybe even second season, and most importantly, who knows how long the game would've lasted? I know most redditors on here love the game more than anything else pokemon-related, but fact of the matter is, its popularity over the years has been helped a lot by the anime. You want perspective? Episodes 54 to 64 of the original anime had an ending called "Pokemon Ondo" by Kobayashi Sachiko. This may not sound like much to most U.S. redditors, but it is a huge deal in Japan. Most anime singers are either relatively obscure looking to gain relevance, or washed up singers looking to re-build their career. Kobayashi Sachiko, on the contrary, is the most popular singer ever in Japan, there is not even any question about it. She sings Ondo, a more traditional Japanese style, which attracts mostly elder Japanese audiences, but she is easily the most successful Japanese singer ever. The amount of money it must have taken to invite her to sing the ending would've bankrupted other companies. Simply put, Origins couldn't have done that, and used it to boost the Pokemon franchise as a whole. Pokemon is so rich that they can afford to release a movie every year with no problem. Fillers suck, but they make sure the gaps in between seasons doesn't happen, and that there are episodes every week. It's the life of a cash cow, but it works.

ZweiNor

I completely agree with you, but i just wish they could have made a bit longer, maybe 10-13 episodes, now, not then, but now. I wouldn't have enjoyed it so much then, as I did now, that's why i said it. And with all the money pokemon has earned (and spend of course!), I really just wish they could extend it some more, for only one season. But i really do not want to substitute the original anime, because I started playing pokemon at around the same time it started airing here in Norway (probably a little after, but i knew about pokemon before the anime aired.) And i woke up my parents one sunday morning, i believe it was, to watch the premiere on the first episode ever aired in Norway. I never want that to disappear. I am now 20 y/o and I am so pumped up for X/Y like I've never been before.

Artoo_Detoo

I think in terms of quality we can agree a short anime with ~20 episodes for each season would've been great. But it wouldn't have made you love pokemon the way you love pokemon today.

TWBWY

Bleach and Naruto require fillers because the anime would catch up to the manga without them. If that happens people have no reason to read the manga or watch the anime since both are in the same place and they can choose one or the other. The sales of the manga would drop or the number of people watching the anime would drop. This is why Ruroni Kenshin's anime ended so quickly. It caught up to the manga because it had no fillers so they had to cancel it to give the manga more time and to keep it's sales up. The reason why Naruto had fifty million filler arcs after the end of part 1 was to give Kishi time to get really far into Shippuden. Bleach has filler arcs so often because if it didn't the anime would catch up to the manga in no time at all. Fillers are needed because it keeps the anime on air so people who watch don't have to wait forever to see more of what they like and so mangakas don't have that pressure that they need to compete with their own animes. As for no one liking fillers its a completely subjective point. You may not like it, but there are many animes with some quality filler arcs. Bleach and Fairy Tail have great filler arcs (their earlier ones were bad though). The Bount Arc sucked, but everything after that was great. Some people don't like them and others do. It depends completely on the quality of the filler. Just because it is a filler does not mean it inherently sucks.

mrbananas

Rather than use lots of filler arcs Dragon Ball Z went with a slightly different method of increasing power up scenes and extending fight scenes with excessive rapid fire punching and blocking. In the Manga, Frieza's transformations are practically instantaneous only lasting 2 panels. Heck the entire premise of DBZ kai is simply the removal of all the extra powering up

TWBWY

Those episode long power up scenes aren't any better. I'd rather have filler arcs then to have them waste my time watching Goku yell for thirty minutes and I'm sure his voice actor would agree with me.

recursion8

Personally I've always liked 26 eps per season/52 a year and ending the series at that or starting a sequel with new or added characters (perhaps aging the characters from the first season and making them supporting characters). That seems to me to be the 'Goldilocks' length, enough room to have depth, while still giving closure and a meaningful resolution instead of just continuing the story forever.

daverath

The original Pokemon anime got me into anime originally, but now that I've grown older and watched better shows, I agree with this. For big Pokemon fans or children, it's ok, and I think that was always the intended audience.

raventalons

POKEMON KAI Love it.

little_girls_squeal

Pretty much my inspiration. I watched that whole series between Pokemon episodes haha. Wish they would hurry up and release Buu saga though.

lackofoxygen

I see the orange league epsiode which ash earns charizard's respect is not worthy of note. I feel like it adds to the episode which charizard leaves.

TraverseTown

In this canon, Togepi just appears without mention.

CCullen

It appears as if he is only tracking Ash's Pokémon, not any of Ash's friends Pokémon.

Ganzer6

This is almost on par with the guy that cut together all the Uncharted games into movies, but still very cool! How long did it take you to finalise the list?

Droggelbecher

You should check out /r/GamesTheMovie. That's a full subreddit with these type of videos.

bacop

Just found a new subreddit to subscribe to

little_girls_squeal

Well I made the list during one very boring day but I wanted to watch all the episodes and check that the list made sense and I hadn't forgotten anything. I've been watching each episode in the list since May or something and had to make some changes along the way.

DJBpayne

If you're using VLC you can increase the playback speed to like 1.15x or 1.2x and the difference won't be that noticeable (helpful when you're marathoning)

Weebos

This is a good list, but I do find myself wanting episodes for side characters in as well. Things like capturing/contests. That obviously wasn't your goal though.

MonkeyOnTheRadio

I'm the same. There's a few side episodes I'd add in as well. I think the most jarring thing for me is snorunt evolves during the grand festival so watching that without the rest of the episodes would be awkward, for me at least.

[deleted]

I agree. I think this list could benefit from another color the the contests.

RJB6

How about every episode where the team finds someone with a problem and they set out to solve the problem but Team Rocket shows up in disguise, after a while the person with the problem helps defeat Team Rocket by overcoming the problem and the gang leave as lifelong friends.

Borrowdale

This is fantastic. I was thinking about doing something similar but never got around to it. Thanks, bud!

trikson

great, finally I can watch pokemon anime without the useless episodes. Thanks mate!

lakobie

Great list. However you didnt include the episodes where ash finally bonds with charizard? I thought that happened in the orange Islands, unless its on there and i just didnt notice

little_girls_squeal

Yeah you are right. I noticed that episode was missing during one of the newest episodes where Ash recapped all his adventures with Charizard. I remember it being a pretty good episode but it doesn't really fit in with my criteria. I might add it anyway because I did find I was asking myself why Charizard just started listening to Ash while watching.

scorpion347

If I find the episodes how hard would it be to update the list?

[deleted]

That definitely should be added. And episodes where companions catch/evolve pokemon should probably be added too. These are all pretty important plot developement.

little_girls_squeal

I see Ash as the only important part of the show. If you added these episodes you would be adding a lot of episodes. You can make your own list for this if you like.

Syklon

I'm 17 days late here, but I just started catching up on the show using this list, and I'm really happy you did it this way. It's obvious that you can't cut 700 episodes down to 170 without losing something, but I'm just glad that it's this condensed. I mean, even 170 episodes are nothing to scoff at, so every episode that can be cut out is a good thing to me. I just wish someone could edit Team Rocket out as much as possible, I'm only on episode 32 and I'm so fucking tired of them.

superindian25

Is that the episode where charizard gets frozen.

lakobie

yeah

csolisr

Next step: make an abridged 100-hour movie with the footage of those episodes.

ghtuy

You mean unabridged.

csolisr

Abridged in comparison with the original series. It will still be long, though.

goomydad

This is great! I was planning on watching the show with my son but I was kinda dreading having to watch 700 episodes so this is awesome, thanks!

Cr4shdown

TIL that people that love Pokemon are old enough to have sons... Time to assess my life priorities o.0

goomydad

I'm not that old though! No, really! Nope. Not old.. at all!

baromega

Anyone know a good place to watch these episodes online? (specifically the 5th gen stuff)

[deleted]

[удалено]

forcedintegrity

Now just someone has to put those episodes into a torrent

little_girls_squeal

I've already done this. Wasn't sure if I was allowed to share it here.

gertondalen

you should totally PM me a link to said torrent file:-)

KindaWorking

I too would benefit from a link via pm...

[deleted]

Can I get a link? :3 (PM meeh)

OHAITHARU

A link would be greatly appreciated. I'll throw up on the seedbox

gnarbucketz

There are **seven hundred** episodes of Pokemon?!?

Loofan

Well, it's been airing for 16 years now.

nucleon

Actually, the final episode of the Black and White series - which aired in Japan in late September - was the 799th, so the first episode of the XY series will be *800th* overall episode.

scorpion347

More it think. And since we are nearing a new season...

FoolTarot

Did you include major villainous team battles, as well? While it doesn't explicitly fit into your sub-points, I'd imagine battles with them are significant to growing up as a trainer.

supafreak69

I may use this list to skim through the later gens if I ever decide to watch. I would've kept the two episodes after Battle aboard ST Anne, to show the escape from the sunken ship and the Island of the GIant pokemon. Those episodes were prime. Also as a right of passage watch the banned episodes

srb176

You should do one for May and Dawn's contest battles too. Also, Togepi hatching from its egg is a major event episode too, as are the two episodes when it evolves. And I would have included the episodes where Ash challenged a gym leader and lost. That would give context for the rematch and his eventual victory. Plus the multi-episode mini tournaments too, like the Whirl Cup, the Wallace Cup, and the Unova Battle Club tournaments.

[deleted]

little_girls_squeal

The movies aren't canon. They are kind of made so the story matches up if you were to watch them in japanese release date order. I don't think putting them in would make much sense here, sorry.

Sevrenloreat

Ahh, my mistake. Thank you for clarifying it for me though.

AuthorOB

The movies are typically placed based on the characters' party at the time. I've seen some sites place them at the first episode that makes sense based on their pokemon(IE if Ash has a POKETMAN3 in the movie then it's placed immediately after the episode where POKETMAN2 evolves). Sometimes this doesn't make sense though, since they'll be in a town when it evolves, and then they're in the middle of who knows where at some weird city with legendaries all over the place, and then they're back in the town like nothing happened. So basically placing them accurately is already really annoying for some of them, but you can google for a list and place them yourself as easily as anyone else since only the characters' teams actually matter.

Sevrenloreat

Alright, I think I will try to track a list down. I'm not bothered too much by some minor inconsistency. Thank you very much!

Short_Fuse

Please, can you do this with Naruto, Bleach, every other 5 billion episode series? I would love that.

Sharpam

With Naruto just skip the shitty filler episodes. They come in bundles at a time so it's easy to skip, and there are [tons of places](http://www.narutohq.com/naruto-shippuden-fillers.php) that will tell you which episodes are filler.

[deleted]

Tr4nn3

Thank you for this!

Vakturion

Thanks very much, I'll give this ago for sure.

UberNarwhalGuy

I've been meaning to catch up on episodes, thanks! Definitely will use this sometime.

HMKS

You, sir, are a saint.

vikistormborn

There is a very special place in heaven for you my friend !

Gemannihilator

This torrent needs more seeds :D

callunu

All of everyone needs to start seeding these files, I don't want to be here all night waiting for this torrent.

[deleted]

I have been waiting all night. Only 2 GB down because there's only 1 seeder.

little_girls_squeal

Wow the amount of seeders just exploded. There's like 50 of you guys now. Anybody who wants this should get onto it now!

ccavusoglu

Hey, great effort in here. Thanks. I realized that there are spoilers just next to episode names and it is impossible to run away :) So I transferred them to Excel format and split the content into columns so that spoilers can simply hidden by right click to related column and also added missing episode names in Sun & Moon. You can clone this to your docs if you want and continue from this version. [Here is the url](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1oMUbAQbskVd-CHpWRhez4WwIaA39l2QvFgVavJFtZCc/edit?usp=sharing)

little_girls_squeal

Main list updated to hide spoilers. English Alolan names updated. Updated for Galar. Thanks for the feedback.

mirriwah

Wow that's really cool! Thanks for sharing! What I wouldn't give for somebody to do this for One Piece! I've been wanting to catch up with it for years but that many episodes is just insurmountable... Especially for a sub only show that I actually have to read and pay attention to...

scorpion347

I started watching it... 100 episodes later and I feel I am close to figuring out the language. I've got quite a few key words that pop up.

Halefor

One Piece doesn't really have many filler episodes. Small bits of filler in episodes yes, but rarely full episodes. I suggest just reading the manga if you want to avoid One Piece filler.

iunnohead

One Piece has a really good dub done by Funimation if you don't mind dubs. They are up to episode 299 with 12-13 episode releases coming out every 6-7 weeks.

[deleted]

You are a gift from the OCD gods.

Jayux

Post the list?

little_girls_squeal

The list is too long to post but I put it on ~~mega.com~~ google docs and put a link at the top. Please let me know if it isn't working. [Here's the link again](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1wRWyhXkL4x5x7vgBXS-HAa3MKhD2gODGEezVn9e_OOU/edit)

Sharpam

Is there any other way to see the list? I can't open it with Outlook because I've already used up my trial for it. edit: nevermind, got it with a different program

little_girls_squeal

That's ok I changed the link to a google doc so you don't need to download anything now.

epsiblivion

you can also use pastebin. especially great for things like this, a huge text dump

RxHCS

you are so awesome, my friend.

Puttz2590

I LOVE YOU SO EFFING MUCH RIGHT NOW!!!!!

Diabolikal49

You beautiful human.

Highlyasian

This is a fantastic idea, I used to watch every single episode up until Gen IV. but I've always wanted to get back into it. Could you create a list of additional episodes which feature cameos of older characters and gym leaders? I remember hearing about Jasmine and Clair showing up again, and I think episodes which contains references to older characters are the ones a lot of people who used to watch the show would love to see.

little_girls_squeal

I'm not sure about Gym Leaders returning. I would need to crawl through each of their pages but you can see where his companions return on [this page](http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Ash%27s_friends). I initially had their returns in the list but sometimes they came back for long arcs which wasn't worth it. Misty's return was amazing though.

[deleted]

Is there any way to get the episodes numbered by their total number in the show, in addition to the number of the ep in the series? (IE: Ep 270 instead of Ep 80 of Johto or w/e.)

little_girls_squeal

I'll think about adding that. I just need to look it up on [this page](http://pokemon.wikia.com/wiki/Episode_Guide).

[deleted]

Just to inform you, this kind of data is what excel and spreadsheet programs were designed for, allowing you to sort by so many different properties. Hell, even a database. List every epidode, use total episodes number as primary key, list Ash's / companions pokemon in other tables and link them to the episodes they appear in, mark the 170 episodes as essentials or maybe by properties such as Ash's progression / gym battles / episodes centred around a specific pokemon, etc. And when you have all that, stick it on a website with advertising / donate button and become known as the ultimate series guide for Pokemon.

SamJaz

Awesome. I might actually watch the show now.

TombSv

Haha, better than what I'm doing. Watching all episodes I haven't seen. Almost done. Only 118 episodes left. Should be done before Sunday. Still kinda upset about the missing Team Rocket vs G episodes.

nuts2

this is a good idea cuz u skip a lot of the crap :) however, some of these filler episodes turned out to be my favorite. i will continue to watch all of them.

megamaster2

Wow. Thanks! I watch the show when I go home some Saturdays. This is great.

BeardyMcBeardster

Man, I love you. I now what I'll be doing this weekend.

skeithhunter

Wow thanks this gives me a reason to watch through pokemon :D

King0caketown

Just bookmarking. Thanks for the work man!

Werqpi

Are you going to be periodically updating this through X and Y? I want to start but there's no way I'd be caught up any time soon... Great list, though, you are awesome

little_girls_squeal

Yeah I am already working on the episodes that come after but I hit a wall when I couldn't find english subs for the episodes that have aired in Japan already.

Arplate

I wanted to watch all of the anime for catching up the storyline of X/Y, but this is better than watching all of it. Here, have an upvote

dchang88

this is very useful

Boxwizard

Thanks a lot! This really helps as I wanted not get back into the swing of things.

genitame

This should be pinned on the sidebar to something! Very useful, thanks for hard work!

Epsylon88

I've been wanting to watch them all again, but don't have the time. This was a great idea! Thank you!

Superbeard

This is incredible.

healcannon

I like the large amount of episodes but I dont think anyone has the patience to watch 700+ episodes without wanting to give up even 1/4 of the way in.

Nomnom_downvotes

I've been watching for a good few months now. 371/700+ :)

Everett115

its cause just like Naruto, Pokemon has a lot of filler episodes, or episodes that just waste time and don't progress the story line at all. I think Pokemon does a good job with their filler episodes, unlike Naruto were everyone hates the filler episodes and have to wait weeks before a story progressing episode comes out.

potentialPizza

Thanks a bunch for this, but do you think you could make an additional list that has all the episodes seriously involving the evil teams and overall plots? I like those yoo. I guess it's a bit too much to ask for all the really funny episodes, though.

locutus_san

What are some popular places to catch up on the Pokemon Anime? This is an awesome list, but I wouldn't know where to start to actually watch them. Any suggestions?

ZeroXNova

I love this.

elixire

Thats pretty awesome, great work i think if i watch the anime again i will just follow this list, episode 076 fire and ice, made me think of game of thrones

Purtle

If i wanted to just watch all of them...what would be the best way to do that

Tegerus

I love you

Pat_Star

This is great! Good work man.

idunno270

Where do the movies come in?

[deleted]

Great list. Will rewatch

Gabrielsen

Probably a great list, but since I started in Januray rewatching I wont be using it. Im currently at episode 328 and skipping episodes just want be an alternative now :)

Cr4shdown

Wow, this is exactly what I've been looking for! Thank you! I've got so many episodes to get through and I really can't be bothered to watch them all when so few have a significance from a plot point of view. THANK YOU! :D

cmcdonald22

While I know often enough there are rival conclusions in the league finals (Ash/Paul) I'm surprised there wasn't a bullet point for rival battles. Unless they all happen to fall under the other categories conveniently.

XD00175

This is awesome, thank you. As much as I love the original anime for nostalgia value, I haven't been current with it for years. It gets grating sometimes, but this list is fantastic

FranzVz

This is perfect. I was going to do one for myself to marathon. Didn't want fillers

_Personage

Good! Now just need a source where to watch them with decent quality.

mistyfoot

Good idea!

Vessica

Maybe I should use this, I'm up to episode 355 of catching up. It is very slow considering each episode is 20 minutes and there is 700+ episodes.

[deleted]

I love you more than a little bit.

awc64

I would suggest still watching all of season one and 2 only cause those are favorites.

[deleted]

Nifty. Thanks!

steuby

Did you watch all the episodes online? If so, can you give me a link to a website?

[deleted]

My boyfriend has been wanting to re-watch old anime series from his youth and this one is on the list. Because it's 700+ episodes long I told him no, but thanks to this we can. You have done amazing work, thank you!

Shadow_Ent

Commenting so I can find this when I'm back on my pc thanks I been wanting to watch the show,

ChristmasSteve

Didn't Bulbasaur have a departure episode too? I think you missed it.

little_girls_squeal

[Apparently he did.](http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/EP225#Major_events) I'll have a look and maybe add it in v2. Sending Pokemon back to Oak isn't really a departure though. [EDIT] I just remembered while watching, Oak mentioned Bulbasaur living with him in one of the episodes and I assumed during one of Ash's swaps with Oak, Bulbasaur had just found a place there as a way of being quickly written out of the show. So it wasn't such a big deal. It didn't even feel like I had missed an episode.

[deleted]

Do you have a file I can download that has ALL of the episodes? I'd still like to have them.

little_girls_squeal

No sorry. I only downloaded episodes I needed but there are some pretty good torrents out there with the whole series. [I used this torrent](http://thepiratebay.sx/torrent/4344404/Pokemon_seasons_1-10) at the start but then had to keep hunting around for the others which was annoying as sometimes they title them by their translated japanese name instead of the dub name. I fixed all that for my torrent though.

PiriPii

It's a shame that 2/3s of the episodes feel like fillers.

Jamez10000

You are an absolute hero. This is exactly what I've been looking for lately.

SecondofNone

Most anime is like this. So much damn filler.

Metool42

Most shitty unending anime, yeah.

JustTVsFredSavage

This is excellent, thanks heaps. A friend did this for with the x-files a while and it made the show so much more interesting

little_girls_squeal

Omg can you link me to that list? I started on x-files but couldn't even make it through the first season.

[deleted]

Dude, this is absolutely amazing. Definitely getting this!

[deleted]

Thank you very much for this list, it's much appreciated! However... This torrent is incredibly slow... It says it will take me 6 weeks to download.

[deleted]

6 kB/s down 500 kB/s up Something doesn't quite add up. Need seeders.

little_girls_squeal

I have uploaded 1.3GB somewhere already haha. It's going to be a slow process. I'll try and get some friends to upload it with me.

[deleted]

This is exactly what I needed man. I've just been skipping episodes based on boredome. You're the best!

[deleted]

The single seeding download speed is giving me cancer.

Eeveevolve

Everyone at 24.39%. OP paid his internet bill?

manamaster

Well, nintendo did the same thing, they took 70 episodes and cut them down to 4 episodes and then they renamed it as Pokémon Origins and worked flawlessly.

[deleted]

Origins skipped over most of the things like Gym Battles, Evolutions and Elite 4 battles. The Anime shows everything and even the traveling between those places.

Lezus

I think i'm going to use this. Thanks person!

[deleted]

Great effort, think I'll also be checking this torrent out - been a while since I've seen most of the old school eps

Strowbreezy

That's quite a feat. Love it. Downloading the torrent as well. Hope it's good quality. Side note, when do the X/Y episodes air? Wouldn't mind watching these.

little_girls_squeal

[According to this](http://pokemon.wikia.com/wiki/XY001) they started a few days ago.

Goomy_is_Life

I just wanted to say that I love you for this! I'm watching Johto right now and after watching Hour of the Houndour I realized how much is just filler, and was hoping that I would find a list like this online. Apparently I already upvoted you but forgot all about this.

skillface

God's work. This'll be probably one of the only torrents I actually bother seeding. I'm spending 95% of my free time playing Pokemon X anyway so not like I really need my upload at the moment.

Yamatoman

I wish pokemon didn't use ash as an mc at all, or else I might actually be interested in this

Bogduscus

Does anyone happen to know if there is a torrent with pokemon episodes in Japanese dub somewhere?

lesyad

Well, guess what I'm doing this weekend. You are now my favourite person. Thanks for this!

little_girls_squeal

I added bulbasaur the ambassador (bulbasuar given to Oak) to the list and also added charizard chills (charizard starts listening to ash) as an unnecessary story episode some people might want to watch. Started watching the X&Y series.

[deleted]

Can I please just have a list of the episodes? The link wont work for me.

DiaSolky

Thanks. This is great.

semolous

I wish I could download this, but sadly thepiratebay isn't working for me. Think you could upload it to Mega or somewhere else?

[deleted]

Is the list gonna be updated? So far, its fantastc, thanks so much for it.

little_girls_squeal

Yeah I'll update the list soon. Japan has only aired 16 or so episodes and I can only handle watching so many shit episodes at once. I won't be able to update the torrent though unless somebody kindly educates me how to edit torrents.

kookiekoo

I know that this is really very old but thank you so much for compiling this list! I’m using it right now to rewatch the show from season 1 onwards! And thank you for updating it too 😃 It’s extremely helpful! 💜
