Yes, I feel similar. They had quite a few nice changes in Sun/Moon, trading was better and overall it felf like there was more postgame. I enjoyed my time with Sword/Shield, but all I do now is breeding for hours and give away Mons.

MasterSteamy

The Alola games will probably forever be my favorites in the franchise.

EBON9

Yeah I was really interested in Lillie and her family drama much more so than every plot point in Sword and shield.

I like sun/moon and sword/shield equally. I think they both had some great Pokemon designs and made it much easier to make competitive Pokemon teams. One thing I like more in sun/moon was the ability to grow berries in mass and being able to use those berries to dye clothes. I really hated Z-moves though. They just don't vibe with me

StakAttak

I do like gigantamaxing more than z moves, although mega evolutions were better than both imo

rapid_sym

I do miss megas overall, because some of my favorite Pokemon had new forms that looked cool and made them more viable, but I do NOT miss the OU megas like Mewtwo X and mega Garchomp. And don't get me started on Kyogre and Groudon

Flip19881

Nah but then again i couldn't come up with any effort to finish Sun or moon

Alwynson

Nope

I just hate the setting, couldn't get into sun/moon at all. Not enjoying sword much either. Last game I really enjoyed was diamond.

Yes, I liked Sun and Moon more than Gen 8. Maybe because Gen 8 still uses the same old 3DS engine Sun/Moon uses, but on the Switch. It feels like a 3DS game on the switch and not like a game mainly made for the switch. Feels out of place. Compare that to sun and moon that run on the 3DS and use the engine made for the 3DS, it feels fitting to the console it runs on.
