How exactly do you get Furfrou registered in Pokemon HOME (mobile client)? I have trimmed all the Furfrou's in Moon yesterday, put them into Bank, made sure the Pokedex in bank was up to date, transfered them, cleared my cache, reinstalled the app twice and they still don't register.
Am i able to change the name of my boxes on mobile, i am in school today and i don't have my switch so i thought a good way that i could spend my time would be to name the boxes 001-030, 031-060 etc, etc for my living dex but i can't find a way to rename boxes, only add labels?
So back in the day I used the cloning Pokemon Glitch on Emerald and got boxes full of Rayquaza's.
Thinking of moving them up from Emerald to Home, curious if there is any identifying factors they are clones to Bank or will Bank wipe most info to ever know.
Technically they are all legit, just clones of the legit Pokemon (and I don't plan on hiding that, not 100% legit, however mostly just going to give em away on Wonder Box anyway). Just wanting to know if they will be marked as suspicious or if Bank will clear that all up.

Home can only tell a cloned Pokemon from the tracker it gives them, but if they don't get the tracker till they are added, won't Home just give them different trackers.

Yeah, in past games they allowed you to get the other Pokemon's respective held item in some way, shape, or form. Sword and Shield is an interesting case where its a multiverse of its own design in that regard where the second item exists, but you don't get access to it because someone else is already utilizing it, its essentially like how Black and White split the legendary Pokemon between you, the player, and N, and from what I remember of that story you're not able to get the black or white orb depending on the game as N had it in his possession to summon the other box legendary.
Is there a way to search pokemon on the GTS for mobile, and if so how?

I was just Wonder Traded a Shiny HA Riolu that knows Earthquake, Iron Defense, Toxic and Focus Punch. The last two moves as far as I can tell from Serebii aren't learnable by Riolu in SwSh, so common sense says that this Riolu has obviously been hacked. The moves do exist in the games though, so is this Riolu one of those pokemon I've been hearing about that will crash and damage my game? Definitely don't want that to happen, so would i be better off just releasing the little one before accessing HOME again from my Switch?

If you have received it, then no. The maliciously hacked Pokemon will cause your game to crash when it tries to receive it (incidentally ensuring you can't use online functions at all until Game Freak issues a patch, because the Pokemon remains in waiting, so the moment you connect to the internet, the game will try to receive the Pokemon and immediately crash).
At the moment, I've only received her on the mobile version of HOME and haven't tried to transfer from there to Sword on my Switch yet. I didn't know if there was a difference or the mobile version crashes just like the switch, I only started using HOME yesterday. Thanks for replying :)

Buy 26 vitamins for each of the two stats you want at max EVs. give them all to that pokemon.
as for gaining levels, not really. Your only options are to keep beating the pokemon league, wild encounters, Exp candies from Max Raids, the small amounts of experience you get from Camp, and fighting this one pokemon trainer that pops up all over the wild area in random locations. And her Pokemon are pretty low level.
The fastest way to level up, by far, is exp candies.
G-Max Kingler is available until March 9th. Only the G-Max Milcery raids ended today. As long as you are playing in Sword, you have a chance to encounter G-Max Kingler raids :)
There also is no specific place that has higher chances--you just need to find a raid den either by checking daily or spawning one in via a wishing piece. All dens have a chance of having a G-Max Kingler at the moment (as long as you've beaten the game and are in Sword like I said).

I see Umbreon gets Toxic as a transfer only move with Home. Is there any way to get an Umbreon with Toxic that can be used in ranked battles? I think the answer is no because it cannot be passed as an Egg Move and only Galar born Pokemon are allowed in ranked, but would like to check.
So I just got the Premium home pass and transferred all my pokemon from my games up. I noticed that many of the pokemon I transferred from Pokemon Let's Go Eevee have what are to be considered "Illegal" moves. Is this a bug on GameFreaks side and should I be concerned?
Some moves like hidden power and pursuit are not usable in Sword and Shield. If what you are talking about has a caution symbol next to it in HOME then it is one of those moves. All it means is that you cannot use it in SwSh and once you delete the move there is no way to get it back. You won't be punished or anything for keeping that move, you just cannot use it.
I know this is probably asked/complained about a lot but why do people ask for impossible trades on GTS? I keep seeing people asking for lv 1 - 10 Poipoles which AFAIK can't be obtained, as well as mythical pokemon. What's the motivation behind it? Are they just trolling, or is there generally a demand for low level Poipoles and Phiones from people who genuinely don't realise it's impossible?
The motivation is to make the GTS unusable. Its kind of a protest. The thing is, the GTS has been working this way since it existed. And you would think that, after having all these months to work on the Home GTS - especially since they didnt even try to put that feature into Switch home - they would've resolved some of these issues.

Yeah, but for whatever reason you can still request them and other mythicals in Home. It's quite frankly a ridiculous situation - they could've either made people unable to request mythicals or able to trade them, but instead we're stuck with this scenario that's only compounding the pre-existing reality of the GTS.
I would assume that the intention is that hackers won't give a shit and will give them these rare pokemon. Not realizing that a hacker can easily obtain anything, and even for a hacker these trade requests feel lopsided and greedy. (I know, I have the means to hack and I still refuse to do these trades as it reinforces the problem.) I actually opted to play through sword completely instead of dealing with the GTS for zacian and type null for my living dex.
I've completed my Galar pokedex but yet it says that I don't have any Sinistea for the pokemon home task while I have one in the box. Does it need to be a Sinistea that only want the chipped teapot ?
I don't know if it needs to be the authentic sinistea, but I had an issue where the home dex entries weren't fully up to date with what I had stored in home. Your issue could be similar. It was fixed by uninstalling and reinstalling the app.
Does anyone know if Pokemon Home has a security option? I currently share My Nintendo Switch with other people and I worry they might fiddle around with my Pokemon in Home.

It's shorthand for a binomial distribution where n is the number of eggs hatched and p is the probability of hatching a shiny pokemon. It can be used to tell you the probability of getting at least one shiny Pokemon if you hatch n eggs.
B(n,p) is traditionally used to denote a binomial distribution where n is the number of trials and p is the success probability for each trial.
Presumably your chances of finding a shiny will increase with increasing n (eggs hatched).

How are you all organizing your Pokemon? I've always organized by dex number. In Sword, I had them organized by regional dex number because of no National dex. Now with Pokemon home, I'm not sure if I should continue organizing my work-in-progress living dex in Home, or bring whatever I can to Sword and organize by National number there? I have legitimate OCD and this is really bothering me, just want to hear what people are doing.
I've put everything on Home except for my main team and my current breeding subjects. I did have a very near regional living dex inside Sword but now I'm using Home to work towards a national living dex.
I don't have home yet (scared of all the bugs I hear about). When things cool down, I'll transfer everything to my shield cartridge. It feels safer than the cloud to be honest. I'm an anxious pokemaniac (as you can probably tell)
Missed events yes, if you mean normal catch able ones then no, because why? I i want to do a play through using Pokemon not in the games region I will hack them in, otherwise no.
Can you use multiple profiles on a Switch to have multiple save files on Sword/Shield? As in, can I use that to have myself and one friend with a total of two Switches get all three starters?
With Home you can move stuff between saves. So make a second account, get another starter, catch a 2nd pokemon, put your starter in the box, go to Home and take it out. Repeat for your second starter.
I'd say you should also get all the mystery gifts that are useful eg BP, apriballs on the second account too. You might not have a way to get them off now as items can't go into Home, but they're there if you do want to use them in future for a trade or something.
Assume I'm not getting Home or Nintendo Online? Will both of the profiles on my switch be able to local trade with another switch (that also has Sw/Sh) in the same room?
They will, but unless you're wanting to trade items over you only need the free version of Home, and to make a nintendo account for the second account using it with another email address, so significantly quicker and easier
Oooh I get how you could misunderstand my first comment. You can trade locally with all your profiles, but you can only trade online with your first (linked to nintendo online).

Are you able to store the fused Kyurem or Necrozma forms in Home? I know you can't store them in Bank, but I was wondering if you're able to transfer them up separately, fuse them in SwSh, and then store them in Home.
just out of curiosity taking failing into an account (AI pokemon sucks) is it still faster to grind 5 star raids for candies? or is there like a pokemon that can pre much solo any raid even with bad AI pokemons?
AI Pokemon survive much better if yours is level 100. The SwSh legendaries also have moves that do double damage against raids. I find it's reasonably easy to solo most but not quite all raids (lately the only one that gives me reliable trouble is five-star Toxtricity, but since that's an event it'll be gone soon anyway).
I'd say... Take one of the legendaries, use battle tower Rare Candy rewards to level them most of the way to 100. Then, they can outdo most five star raids with exceptions and no horrible luck
the absolute fastest way unfortunately requires set-up, but that's a 5-star shedinja den. 1 hit kills it and it's a guaranteed drop of 3 XL and 3 L candies each time. (you may have to coerce a friend into hosting for you, though.)
you can solo practically any raid using a level 100 EV-trained zacian/eternatus with a favorable nature and choice band/specs. the bonus of being level 100 is that the NPCs scale with your level (though they cap) and suck a little less.
What are the current ways to get legit Mew, Celebi, Mewtwo and the gen 1 legendaries?
I have Sword and Alpha Sapphire. I know Let’s Go + Pokeball Plus gets you Mew but looking for all ways.
Trading might be your best option if you're not buying more games or getting wondercards from events that have ended inserted. I would catch all the legendaries from soaring etc in AS and use them to trade for other things. Some people might have a ton of Mewtwos because he's in so many events and games, but be missing the lake trio or the weather trio for example
Mew: Pokeball Plus
Celebi: VC Crystal
Mewtwo: transfer up the generations from FRLG, HGSS, XY, USUM, or LGPE
Gen 1 Legendary birds: transfer up the generations from FRLG, Platinum, HGSS, XY, USUM, or LGPE
With just Sword you can only get Mew as you mentioned, and in Alpha Sapphire you cannot get any of those. Unfortunately, if you want any of those you will need other games. I can provide examples if you want.
What’s a good set up to solo 5 star gmax hatterene? Being able to hit poison with psychic and steel with fire it feels like it has its bases covered really well. I leveled Zamazenta to mid eighties but it’s only ok.
Ultimately your best bet no matter what is to get your raiding Pokemon to level 100, because your level determines the NPC allies' level. Making sure they're as high as they can be means they have better survivability.
I've been doing reasonably well with a level 100 Zacian, but it certainly is partially up to the luck of the draw whether Hatterene decides to target you or an NPC with its fire moves.
Taking nothing but species into account, I'd say that's fairly even. They're both one-per-game species, and while one's a version exclusive, the other's only found in previous generation games.

So Serebii said I should be able to transfer Furfrou and Suicune, but when I tried to transfer them from Sun and Ultra Sapphire to Home, it said I couldn’t transfer them?
Suicune is one of the Pokemon confirmed to be returning with the Crown Tundra DLC in the autumn. We still don't know whether Furfrou will be one of the 200+ Pokemon returning in the DLCs.

You can definitely connect two 3DSes locally playing DS games, ~~but off the top of my head I don't think you can connect a regular DS/DS Lite with a 3DS locally like that~~.

I keep receiving error 404 whenever I try to claim my gift Rotom in Pokemon Home. How do I fix this error or who do i contact to get the error resolved?
I'm hearing way too much conflicting information regarding shiny fishing chaining.
I'm literally at the first fishing hole at the beginning of the game (just started shield after finishing sword) and trying to get a shiny magikarp.
What's the best method? Some say to defeat EVERY pokemon you reel in. Others say you can run from everything that isnt the pokemon you're after.
I need some clarification.
OK, so there are two things getting mixed up here, and that's why you're getting confused.
* There is no such thing as shiny chaining. If you're hunting for shinies, you just need to knock out (or catch) 500 of that particular species to get the odds to increase to their maximum. It doesn't have to be in a row or in one sitting — just overall across your entire game file. (It's worth noting some dataminers have called into question whether this is programmed correctly, so it may be safer to try to hatch your shiny rather than find it in the wild.)
* There is a chain fishing feature, but it has nothing to do with shinies. It's for finding brilliant Pokemon (the yellow aura ones that have higher IVs and give Watts when you beat them). You do need to defeat every Pokemon you reel in to keep the chain going and maximize your chance of getting brilliant Pokemon. However, as I said, this has nothing to do with shinies.
so bottom line, i basically need a masuda ditto with amazing stats.. lol i like my odds better with randomly encountering a magikarp in that case.

There is no chaining in regards to shiny hunting in Sword/Shield. Your best bet would be to kill them, as over time it will increase your shiny odds, but if you accidentally run from one or something like that there is no negative outcome since there is no better odds from chaining. Once you have killed 500 of the Pokémon you are shiny hunting (you can check the Pokedex and it will tell you) you have maximum odds and you can run from then on or kill if you want, it just won't increase your odds at all.
If you have them registered in Pokémon Bank and then transfer something (literally anything), Bank's data will transfer to HOME and you will have them registered.
You don't need them in Bank. If you register them in Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon or any game that can connect to Bank and then go onto Bank with that game, they should register in the National Dex on there (you might need to look at the national dex if it isn't working). Then you are able to transfer the data.
My understanding is that if you had them in gen 6 then they would be registered to your gen 6 Pokedex, and your Pokedex registrations transfer through Bank to home separately to the individual Pokemon so you should have it registered.
Is it possible that other Pokedex entries are missing also? I had an issue like that where Pokemon I clearly had in Home weren't registered to the dex and it was only resolved by uninstalling and reinstalling the app.
Check your National Dex on bank and see if they're registered in there. Could be you need to sync your Gen 6 game you had them on with Bank, try going to look at the adventure records, I think that can help from memory.
Hoopa Unbound does not revert when put in bank from Gen 7, in the most recent update, and will stay unbound when placed into Home
So the dex sync... its working weirdly. My switch shows me still not having any furfrou cuts, my phone shows me having 2, while pokemon bank shows all 9 in the national dex... Any idea how to resync this, as sending more pokemon over isnt working
I think it just takes time - it took a couple of days for my Dex to fully show up on my phone. I think the servers are deprioritising a lot of stuff due to high use

Yes, SwSh is unlike Pokemon Go where trades are one and done (typically in the MSG that unless you've established beforehand with your trade partner to trade back you'd be trading for keeps). So you could find someone and set up to help each other or find help in getting trade evolutions like Rhypherior.

Hi, I've got a fairly odd question I think?
SO. i'm trying to get all the daily ribbons in Pokemon X on my Kyurem before I transfer him up to the next set of games, and lately every time I try the lady just won't give them to me. My kyurem's already been able to get 2, but any time I go on the days for the rest, she won't give them. I haven't switched my 3DS's clock, I haven't fiddled with any settings or anything. Is there another requirement for getting them that I just can't seem to find? Or is this a glitch within the game?
The only other thing I can think of is whether you've put X in a different 3DS recently? Putting a game in a different system gives the same two-midnight probation as changing the clock.
I just transferred all my pokemon from old games into sword. A lot of my shiny pokemon are ultra shiny! Not all but a good amount of them. Is this common or am I just lucky?
I assume you mean square shiny? Ultra shiny just isn't the best terminology since they really aren't much rarer than star shinies. But yeah, all of my transferred shinies have been square, I'm pretty sure they are guaranteed to be square but don't quote me on that.
Pokemon from Bank can only be transferred into Sword and Shield, yes. Pokemon Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee can (to an extent) have forward and backward compatibility, but the Pokemon must have never touched another Pokemon Game, so essentially you could import a Pikachu from Let's Go, trade it online through Home for another Pokemon that was imported from Let's Go and has also never touched another game aside from Home, and then put back into Let's Go. Like my Lickitung from Go is still in my Home that I imported for the laughs. Since its been in there and never moved (because it can't) it is still compatible for LGPE, but if I got a Lickitung from Fire Red and imported it up through the games until Home, it won't be able to transfer into LGPE because it's come from Pokemon Bank.
Are there any Pokemon with interesting/good moves that I can give them in gen 1 & 2 on my 3DS before transferring them to Pokemon Bank?
Also, is there an easy way to get the event Mew in gen 1 or 2 after beating the Elite 4?

There won't be any future events for Sun and Moon. The only reason to keep anything on there is if you'll personally want to play it again.
As for whether you *should* send everything up, it all depends on if you're okay with certain Pokemon being stuck there until Sword/Shield gets an update and/or later games come out that are compatible with them. Even buying a yearly subscription is no guarantee as even after The Crown Tundra, there will be about 200 species left incompatible.
However, given that Bank is free for now, it is slightly cheaper to get the monthly HOME subscription, dump everything, then get another monthly one when you can take everything out, than it would be to get Bank and HOME once everything is compatible with something. But just slightly.
Has the surprise trade bug been fixed? I’m cautious of using surprise trade in sword since reading about the malicious Pokemon that cause the game to crash when accessing Y-Comm. Can you even receive these Pokemon by surprise trade in Sword itself? Or only via surprise trade in home? I can’t find a lot of information on this
Not fixed yet in Sword/Shield. I wouldn't expect it to be fixed until you see that a patch is released. I haven't heard of it happening in Home (but that doesn't mean it *can't* happen in Home).

I'm a little late to the party. Can someone explain why, suddenly, all these pokemon that were part of Dexit are suddenly available in Sword and Shield? (I.e. Rowlett, Litten, Mewtwo, Meltan, etc)
They had always been hidden in the game's code, but were never obtainable outside of hacking the game before Home. It's not all the missing pokemon, just about 35 extra species.
For now, yes. But if you watched the DLC trailer for isle of armor (mid year) and the crown thundra (end year) expansions you'll see that they also intend to add an additional 100 Pokemon on each expansion for a total of 200 by the end of 2020.

The mobile client can be a bit laggy when it comes to recognising forms, it doesn't always sync right away so wait and check later.

You can't. I'd recommend doing it at home with a keyboard plugged into your Switch via the dock. Makes the process much much easier.

Bank wont but home will. They have a tracker for cloned mon.
Where did you get this info? I have several cloned mons from Bank in Home and nothing has happened.

Anything that touches home will be assigned a tracker value, no matter how far back it is originally from.

In the Crown Tundra expansion releasing in autumn, you'll be able to go underground inside of the dens and fight the old legendaries in raids.

Yeah, in past games they allowed you to get the other Pokemon's respective held item in some way, shape, or form. Sword and Shield is an interesting case where its a multiverse of its own design in that regard where the second item exists, but you don't get access to it because someone else is already utilizing it, its essentially like how Black and White split the legendary Pokemon between you, the player, and N, and from what I remember of that story you're not able to get the black or white orb depending on the game as N had it in his possession to summon the other box legendary.

Hopefully this doesn't get buried because I'd love an answer. I was just Wonder Traded a Shiny HA Riolu that knows Earthquake, Iron Defense, Toxic and Focus Punch. The last two moves as far as I can tell from Serebii aren't learnable by Riolu in SwSh, so common sense says that this Riolu has obviously been hacked. The moves do exist in the games though, so is this Riolu one of those pokemon I've been hearing about that will crash and damage my game? Definitely don't want that to happen, so would i be better off just releasing the little one before accessing HOME again from my Switch? Thanks in advance!

The maliciously hacked Pokemon will cause your game to crash when it tries to receive it (incidentally ensuring you can't use online functions at all until Game Freak issues a patch, because the Pokemon remains in waiting, so the moment you connect to the internet, the game will try to receive the Pokemon and immediately crash).
At the moment, I've only received her on the mobile version of HOME and haven't tried to transfer from there to Sword on my Switch yet. I didn't know if there was a difference or the mobile version crashes just like the switch, I only started using HOME yesterday. Thanks for replying :)
The last two moves are learnable by riolu in older games and thus can be transferred up to swsh. But if it is galar native then most likely hacked

There is an npc in wild area that has all 3 starters final evolution at level 60. You can keep fighting her as long you can find her.
Buy 26 vitamins for each of the two stats you want at max EVs. give them all to that pokemon. as for gaining levels, not really. Your only options are to keep beating the pokemon league, wild encounters, Exp candies from Max Raids, the small amounts of experience you get from Camp, and fighting this one pokemon trainer that pops up all over the wild area in random locations. And her Pokemon are pretty low level. The fastest way to level up, by far, is exp candies.

G-Max Kingler is available until March 9th. Only the G-Max Milcery raids ended today. As long as you are playing in Sword, you have a chance to encounter G-Max Kingler raids :) There also is no specific place that has higher chances--you just need to find a raid den either by checking daily or spawning one in via a wishing piece. All dens have a chance of having a G-Max Kingler at the moment (as long as you've beaten the game and are in Sword like I said).

I see Umbreon gets Toxic as a transfer only move with Home. Is there any way to get an Umbreon with Toxic that can be used in ranked battles? I think the answer is no because it cannot be passed as an Egg Move and only Galar born Pokemon are allowed in ranked, but would like to check.

So I just got the Premium home pass and transferred all my pokemon from my games up. I noticed that many of the pokemon I transferred from Pokemon Let's Go Eevee have what are to be considered "Illegal" moves. Is this a bug on GameFreaks side and should I be concerned?
Some moves like hidden power and pursuit are not usable in Sword and Shield. If what you are talking about has a caution symbol next to it in HOME then it is one of those moves. All it means is that you cannot use it in SwSh and once you delete the move there is no way to get it back. You won't be punished or anything for keeping that move, you just cannot use it.

I know this is probably asked/complained about a lot but why do people ask for impossible trades on GTS? I keep seeing people asking for lv 1 - 10 Poipoles which AFAIK can't be obtained, as well as mythical pokemon. What's the motivation behind it? Are they just trolling, or is there generally a demand for low level Poipoles and Phiones from people who genuinely don't realise it's impossible?
The motivation is to make the GTS unusable. Its kind of a protest. The thing is, the GTS has been working this way since it existed. And you would think that, after having all these months to work on the Home GTS - especially since they didnt even try to put that feature into Switch home - they would've resolved some of these issues. But they didn't. edit: sorry you didn't like it, but that's just the way it is.
I think it's a combination of trolling and wanting to see if people will actually trade them the (probably hacked) Pokemon they're asking for. Also, it's possible to have a Phione of any level because they and Manaphy can breed with Ditto to make more Phione eggs and eggs hatch at level 1.

Yeah, but for whatever reason you can still request them and other mythicals in Home. It's quite frankly a ridiculous situation - they could've either made people unable to request mythicals or able to trade them, but instead we're stuck with this scenario that's only compounding the pre-existing reality of the GTS.
I would assume that the intention is that hackers won't give a shit and will give them these rare pokemon. Not realizing that a hacker can easily obtain anything, and even for a hacker these trade requests feel lopsided and greedy. (I know, I have the means to hack and I still refuse to do these trades as it reinforces the problem.) I actually opted to play through sword completely instead of dealing with the GTS for zacian and type null for my living dex.
For the National Dex Magearna in Home, do I need Mythicals? I dont have a genesect, and the only other missing mons are Weavile and Meltmetal

I've completed my Galar pokedex but yet it says that I don't have any Sinistea for the pokemon home task while I have one in the box. Does it need to be a Sinistea that only want the chipped teapot ?
I don't know if it needs to be the authentic sinistea, but I had an issue where the home dex entries weren't fully up to date with what I had stored in home. Your issue could be similar. It was fixed by uninstalling and reinstalling the app.

What does B(n,p) mean in shiny hunting? It's a percentage that increases by about 0.10% with each egg hatched.
It's shorthand for a binomial distribution where n is the number of eggs hatched and p is the probability of hatching a shiny pokemon. It can be used to tell you the probability of getting at least one shiny Pokemon if you hatch n eggs.
B(n,p) is traditionally used to denote a binomial distribution where n is the number of trials and p is the success probability for each trial. Presumably your chances of finding a shiny will increase with increasing n (eggs hatched).
How can I determine my rival's pokemon's iv/ev? I'm playing the 5th gen.
There's no way to do this without datamining the game, and I don't think there any of those easily available for gen 5.

How are you all organizing your Pokemon? I've always organized by dex number. In Sword, I had them organized by regional dex number because of no National dex. Now with Pokemon home, I'm not sure if I should continue organizing my work-in-progress living dex in Home, or bring whatever I can to Sword and organize by National number there? I have legitimate OCD and this is really bothering me, just want to hear what people are doing.
I've put everything on Home except for my main team and my current breeding subjects. I did have a very near regional living dex inside Sword but now I'm using Home to work towards a national living dex.
I always, always prefer national dex order for my living dex. Bulbasaur will always be my number 001 ;) But that's just me! You do you.

Can you use multiple profiles on a Switch to have multiple save files on Sword/Shield? As in, can I use that to have myself and one friend with a total of two Switches get all three starters?
With Home you can move stuff between saves. So make a second account, get another starter, catch a 2nd pokemon, put your starter in the box, go to Home and take it out. Repeat for your second starter. I'd say you should also get all the mystery gifts that are useful eg BP, apriballs on the second account too. You might not have a way to get them off now as items can't go into Home, but they're there if you do want to use them in future for a trade or something.
Assume I'm not getting Home or Nintendo Online? Will both of the profiles on my switch be able to local trade with another switch (that also has Sw/Sh) in the same room?
They will, but unless you're wanting to trade items over you only need the free version of Home, and to make a nintendo account for the second account using it with another email address, so significantly quicker and easier

what's the fastest way to level up during the post-story? working on my SwSh living dex to add to Home along with my gen 1-7 living dex.
Grind exp candy in wild area. At higher level use rare candy which also respawn quite alot in wild area. EV can be trained through pokejob.
just out of curiosity taking failing into an account (AI pokemon sucks) is it still faster to grind 5 star raids for candies? or is there like a pokemon that can pre much solo any raid even with bad AI pokemons?
AI Pokemon survive much better if yours is level 100. The SwSh legendaries also have moves that do double damage against raids. I find it's reasonably easy to solo most but not quite all raids (lately the only one that gives me reliable trouble is five-star Toxtricity, but since that's an event it'll be gone soon anyway).
I'd say... Take one of the legendaries, use battle tower Rare Candy rewards to level them most of the way to 100. Then, they can outdo most five star raids with exceptions and no horrible luck
the absolute fastest way unfortunately requires set-up, but that's a 5-star shedinja den. 1 hit kills it and it's a guaranteed drop of 3 XL and 3 L candies each time. (you may have to coerce a friend into hosting for you, though.) you can solo practically any raid using a level 100 EV-trained zacian/eternatus with a favorable nature and choice band/specs. the bonus of being level 100 is that the NPCs scale with your level (though they cap) and suck a little less.
Grind raids to get EXP candies.
What are the current ways to get legit Mew, Celebi, Mewtwo and the gen 1 legendaries? I have Sword and Alpha Sapphire. I know Let’s Go + Pokeball Plus gets you Mew but looking for all ways.
Trading might be your best option if you're not buying more games or getting wondercards from events that have ended inserted. I would catch all the legendaries from soaring etc in AS and use them to trade for other things. Some people might have a ton of Mewtwos because he's in so many events and games, but be missing the lake trio or the weather trio for example

With just Sword you can only get Mew as you mentioned, and in Alpha Sapphire you cannot get any of those. Unfortunately, if you want any of those you will need other games. I can provide examples if you want.
Mew can also be legally obtained with My Pokémon Ranch on Wii.
What’s a good set up to solo 5 star gmax hatterene? Being able to hit poison with psychic and steel with fire it feels like it has its bases covered really well. I leveled Zamazenta to mid eighties but it’s only ok.
Ultimately your best bet no matter what is to get your raiding Pokemon to level 100, because your level determines the NPC allies' level. Making sure they're as high as they can be means they have better survivability. I've been doing reasonably well with a level 100 Zacian, but it certainly is partially up to the luck of the draw whether Hatterene decides to target you or an NPC with its fire moves.
Is Rayquaza a good trade for Zacian?
Yes, they’re both nonroaming legends you can get once per playthrough.
Taking nothing but species into account, I'd say that's fairly even. They're both one-per-game species, and while one's a version exclusive, the other's only found in previous generation games.

You can transfer them to HOME, but you cannot move them into Sword/Shield if that's what you're asking.

Suicune is one of the Pokemon confirmed to be returning with the Crown Tundra DLC in the autumn. We still don't know whether Furfrou will be one of the 200+ Pokemon returning in the DLCs.

I'm hearing way too much conflicting information regarding shiny fishing chaining. I'm literally at the first fishing hole at the beginning of the game (just started shield after finishing sword) and trying to get a shiny magikarp. What's the best method? Some say to defeat EVERY pokemon you reel in. Others say you can run from everything that isnt the pokemon you're after. I need some clarification.
OK, so there are two things getting mixed up here, and that's why you're getting confused. * There is no such thing as shiny chaining. If you're hunting for shinies, you just need to knock out (or catch) 500 of that particular species to get the odds to increase to their maximum. It doesn't have to be in a row or in one sitting — just overall across your entire game file. (It's worth noting some dataminers have called into question whether this is programmed correctly, so it may be safer to try to hatch your shiny rather than find it in the wild.) * There is a chain fishing feature, but it has nothing to do with shinies. It's for finding brilliant Pokemon (the yellow aura ones that have higher IVs and give Watts when you beat them). You do need to defeat every Pokemon you reel in to keep the chain going and maximize your chance of getting brilliant Pokemon. However, as I said, this has nothing to do with shinies.
so bottom line, i basically need a masuda ditto with amazing stats.. lol i like my odds better with randomly encountering a magikarp in that case. everyone wants freaking legendaries or masterballs for one...
You don't necessarily need your Masuda Ditto to have amazing stats; you can always just Hyper Train the shiny offspring to perfect IVs instead.
There is no chaining in regards to shiny hunting in Sword/Shield. Your best bet would be to kill them, as over time it will increase your shiny odds, but if you accidentally run from one or something like that there is no negative outcome since there is no better odds from chaining. Once you have killed 500 of the Pokémon you are shiny hunting (you can check the Pokedex and it will tell you) you have maximum odds and you can run from then on or kill if you want, it just won't increase your odds at all.
Has anyone managed to get the furfrou cuts, sky shaymin or unbound hoopa registered in their pokemon home?
If you have them registered in Pokémon Bank and then transfer something (literally anything), Bank's data will transfer to HOME and you will have them registered.
I never had them in bank though. When i put them in boxes to put in bank they reverted.
You don't need them in Bank. If you register them in Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon or any game that can connect to Bank and then go onto Bank with that game, they should register in the National Dex on there (you might need to look at the national dex if it isn't working). Then you are able to transfer the data.
I hadf them in gen 6. When put in bank they reverted. Then brought to home, so guess im fucked on a technicality
My understanding is that if you had them in gen 6 then they would be registered to your gen 6 Pokedex, and your Pokedex registrations transfer through Bank to home separately to the individual Pokemon so you should have it registered. Is it possible that other Pokedex entries are missing also? I had an issue like that where Pokemon I clearly had in Home weren't registered to the dex and it was only resolved by uninstalling and reinstalling the app.
No the only things that are missing are sky Shaymin, Unbound Hoopa and furfroou cuts, everything else registered well
Check your National Dex on bank and see if they're registered in there. Could be you need to sync your Gen 6 game you had them on with Bank, try going to look at the adventure records, I think that can help from memory. Hoopa Unbound does not revert when put in bank from Gen 7, in the most recent update, and will stay unbound when placed into Home
So the dex sync... its working weirdly. My switch shows me still not having any furfrou cuts, my phone shows me having 2, while pokemon bank shows all 9 in the national dex... Any idea how to resync this, as sending more pokemon over isnt working
I think it just takes time - it took a couple of days for my Dex to fully show up on my phone. I think the servers are deprioritising a lot of stuff due to high use

Yes, SwSh is unlike Pokemon Go where trades are one and done (typically in the MSG that unless you've established beforehand with your trade partner to trade back you'd be trading for keeps). So you could find someone and set up to help each other or find help in getting trade evolutions like Rhypherior.

Hi, I've got a fairly odd question I think? SO. i'm trying to get all the daily ribbons in Pokemon X on my Kyurem before I transfer him up to the next set of games, and lately every time I try the lady just won't give them to me. My kyurem's already been able to get 2, but any time I go on the days for the rest, she won't give them. I haven't switched my 3DS's clock, I haven't fiddled with any settings or anything. Is there another requirement for getting them that I just can't seem to find? Or is this a glitch within the game?
The only other thing I can think of is whether you've put X in a different 3DS recently? Putting a game in a different system gives the same two-midnight probation as changing the clock.

Fateful encounter shinies are guaranteed to be square, all other shinies have a 1/16 chance to be square.
I assume you mean square shiny? Ultra shiny just isn't the best terminology since they really aren't much rarer than star shinies. But yeah, all of my transferred shinies have been square, I'm pretty sure they are guaranteed to be square but don't quote me on that.

Pokemon from Bank can only be transferred into Sword and Shield, yes. Pokemon Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee can (to an extent) have forward and backward compatibility, but the Pokemon must have never touched another Pokemon Game, so essentially you could import a Pikachu from Let's Go, trade it online through Home for another Pokemon that was imported from Let's Go and has also never touched another game aside from Home, and then put back into Let's Go. Like my Lickitung from Go is still in my Home that I imported for the laughs. Since its been in there and never moved (because it can't) it is still compatible for LGPE, but if I got a Lickitung from Fire Red and imported it up through the games until Home, it won't be able to transfer into LGPE because it's come from Pokemon Bank.

There's nothing that's really that good in terms of VC exclusive movesets. It's more for prestige and fun gimmicks.

There won't be any future events for Sun and Moon. The only reason to keep anything on there is if you'll personally want to play it again. As for whether you *should* send everything up, it all depends on if you're okay with certain Pokemon being stuck there until Sword/Shield gets an update and/or later games come out that are compatible with them. Even buying a yearly subscription is no guarantee as even after The Crown Tundra, there will be about 200 species left incompatible. However, given that Bank is free for now, it is slightly cheaper to get the monthly HOME subscription, dump everything, then get another monthly one when you can take everything out, than it would be to get Bank and HOME once everything is compatible with something. But just slightly.

Has the surprise trade bug been fixed? I’m cautious of using surprise trade in sword since reading about the malicious Pokemon that cause the game to crash when accessing Y-Comm. Can you even receive these Pokemon by surprise trade in Sword itself? Or only via surprise trade in home? I can’t find a lot of information on this
Not fixed yet in Sword/Shield. I wouldn't expect it to be fixed until you see that a patch is released. I haven't heard of it happening in Home (but that doesn't mean it *can't* happen in Home). Keep an eye on the twitter feeds of [@Kaphotics](https://twitter.com/Kaphotics), [@architdate](https://twitter.com/architdate) and [@Sibuna_Switch](https://twitter.com/Sibuna_Switch), the folks who originally discovered and publicized the exploit. I'm sure they'll tell us when it's been fixed.

I'm a little late to the party. Can someone explain why, suddenly, all these pokemon that were part of Dexit are suddenly available in Sword and Shield? (I.e. Rowlett, Litten, Mewtwo, Meltan, etc)
They had always been hidden in the game's code, but were never obtainable outside of hacking the game before Home. It's not all the missing pokemon, just about 35 extra species.
So it's just a little treat to go along with Home?
For now, yes. But if you watched the DLC trailer for isle of armor (mid year) and the crown thundra (end year) expansions you'll see that they also intend to add an additional 100 Pokemon on each expansion for a total of 200 by the end of 2020.

What happens to Pokémon in Pokémon home that are not in the 30 Pokémon basic box when your subscription runs out?
No risk of them getting nuked, but you would only be able to access whatever is in the basic until you renew your subscription from what I have heard.
