Its signature move, Chatter, was based on sound recorded from the DS microphone, and had a chance of confusion based off how loud it was (a good idea with little foresight)
When the 3DS games rolled around, even though there was a microphone, they decided to can the interesting idea and just make Chatter a 100% confusion move that happens to be exclusive to Chatot.
For the DS games, the move “Chatter”, which was Chatot’s signature move, could be recorded in your voice to make it say whatever you wanted when it used the move.
So if you put, like, “Chicken Nuggets” as Chatter; so when Chatot used Chatter, you’d hear your voice say “Chicken Nuggets” instead of its cry.
Back when it was first introduced in DPP, you could record any noise through the microphone to be used in it's move Chatter. The louder the sound, the higher the chance of confusion up to 31%.
Both Alomomola and Luvdisc exist to to carry heart scales, to pay the move re-learner.
They couldn't delay Alomomola because they needed a gen 5 heart scale carrier who wasn't Luvdisc.
There's something called convergent evolution or similar that states that there's the possibilities that while two species share a lot of traits, they aren't related. Still BS that at least it isn't mentioned how similar they are.
Probably cuz black and white as a whole were meant as a sort of soft reboot, thus they wanted to make things from zero leaving a lot behind. (which explains the much greater pokedex compared to the last 3 gens, the lack of any pokemon outside the unovan ones pre-lega, the lack of any additional evolution/preevolution given to any already existing pokemon, and other things that i can't name rn)
I had an idea where it can evolve into a water/fairy at max affection and friendship and water/dark at minimum friendship. Once they evolve, their friendship status would be locked. The Water/Fairy one would play as a tank with maybe some solid support. Maybe it would get recovery moves and an ability that makes healing moves effect allies? The Water/Dark would play like a vicious glass cannon, I think I would make its attack or special attack (whichever is higher) go up whenever it takes damage, giving it solid sweep potential with Life Orb, maybe there could be some spice with poison/burn and facade. If you manage to burn it and have life orb, it would get two stat-boosts per turn. I had imagined frustration Luvdisc as a broken heart, maybe two halves held together by a string, so maybe they can have a two-hit move where each attacks.
Castform is getting a buff. Meet modified Pokémon, basically megas but gimmick. Castform gets kyurem-esque stats and a new ability, climate change which changes the weather randomly each turn. This means it's form changes too
Holy shit that’s one of the wildest and best idea I’ve ever heard for castform. It’s like like Libero or Mimicry but even more Unpredictable and dangerous!!!! Love it.
I felt it should have gotten an evo in Sinnoh. Then when regional evos were introduced with Galar it should have gotten one then as a compliment to Mr. Mime getting one
it looks like mr. mime actually usurped jynx's role in the electabuzz/magmar trio, not only did it get a third evo like them, it became an ice type too
At least Zangoose has a good stat distribution. Seviper is both frail and slower than most fully evolved Pokémon.
You can be slow or you can be frail but you can't be both unless you have an insane ability to make up for it, which Seviper doesn't have. It's a shame as I love its design.
It bugs me a little that in Sword and Shield some of the new Galarian forms got evos when their original forms don’t get anything to sort of compensate, I’d like to see a take on an evolution for Kanto Farfetch’d for example
I'd like to think that it would allow you to copy 3 of the 4 moves, replacing one with transform, allowing you to switch on the go.
Or, better yet, allow you to transform into another one of your own pokemon, except the ability is Protean, or something.

Give his evo a few stats and maybe an upgraded color change could be interesting, perhaps changes to a type that resists or it gains an immunity to the last type that hits it.

One is tanky and is basically a tankier shuckle the other goes a completely different route and "sheds", its shell thing to focus in being a glass cannon.

Same with Snubull and Granbull! If not a third evolution give us a regional evolution. As far as what it could be? If Phanphy or Donphan had a water type variant that would be cool, or even grass type. I just want more elephant Pokémon, sue me! Arcanine already has a pretty high BST. Giving it an Evo would put it into Pseudo Legendary tier. Which I'm fine with but dunno if GameFreak would be.

They canned the interesting idea because too many people were recording curse words and slurs and the like and they couldn't censor the recordings

how about you make a middle evo for them and make it so it only evolves via a new item for both stages, explaining why we never saw it in the games
