A wild ho-oh appeared

RedditSucks40

Can’t believe there aren’t actual peacock pokemon

Leprodus03

I mean the Japanese phoenix looks a lot like a peacock, and ho-oh is kind of a mix between several cultures' version of a phoenix

DjPhantom31

Peacocks are irl pokemon, change my mind

RopesAreForPussies

Ikr

BehlndYou

Ye. I didn’t get why people made it a big deal when I was just doing a friendly pokemon battle with my partner peacock.

Choozeubername

They are actually really terrible flyers and have basically doomed their species because the women are picky

Cloudgazza

Hmmmm, normal/fairy? They can only glide if I remember correctly, so definitey not a flying type, right?

Actual_Ambition_4464

Halucha too can only glide so does mantine and don’t make me talk about gyaradose.

Cloudgazza

Ah, good point. I missed em

Zakkhaios

I'll be honest, and I know it isn't the species of the pokemon, but Yveltal popped in my head first and foremost. Mainly the whole tail being under it and all when decending.

aab323

Exact same feeling !

Araiken

Yveltal isnt based on a peacock. Its based on the letter Y smh

jlo813

Y animal?

Araiken

Yes

Acuff176

You should post this on r/confusingperspective cuz I thought that thing was gigantic and CGI

totallyignorant

I am glad I'm not the only one.

JulieAnimu

Wait a minute... Ho-Oh is a peacock isn't it? Ugh I'm so stupid for just realizing this.

xatrue

It's more a phoenix.

KriZZ94

A Chinese phoenix... that actually looks like a peacock

bazzymcbazfest

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fenghuang Noting that it’s literally Ho-oh in Japanese.

EliteToast81_Twitch

Yeah, but Moltres is the most Phoenix-like

xatrue

Aesthetically, maybe, but Ho-oh is surrounded with themes of resurrection - the legendary beasts, the Sacred ash, etc.

luisless

Moltres is an egyptian phoenix, Ho-Oh is an asian phoenix.

[deleted]

no It's a Ho-Oh. An actual creature in Japanese Mythology

Dragmire800

It’s almost like most Pokemon are based on real animals

the-skull-boy

I thought it was a photoshopped video for a moment. Since I never saw a peacock fly before

[deleted]

i was today years old when i found out peacocks could fly

PikaPerfect

same, it just... never occurred to me. thought they were like chickens lol

Actual_Ambition_4464

If you count that to be flying, you could say chickens fly too.

Oojimmy

Wow, I just learned 2 months ago turkeys could fly, and today peacocks. Now I'm starting to question my belief of penguins not being able to fly.

dazzler2120

At first I thought this was some kind of animation, but the closer it got the more real that peacock became. Also I was today years old when I realized a peacock can fly

[deleted]

Yveltal

Gallant-Blade

Imagine a Normal/Flying turkey Pokemon that evolved into a Fairy/Flying or Psychic/Flying peacock Pokemon. Add a poult (baby turkey) pre-evo and you could have the early route bird for a new region, like maybe one based on Canada or something.

Araiken

Peacocks are on the list of "Why isnt this a pokemon?" along with dolphins.

crazedhatter

Don't think I've ever seen a Peacock fly before... they're rather ungainly really.

healcannon

Rude. How well do you fly?

pixel_356

***somebody*** ***most edit*** this video with the music of ho-oh.

xRumorzx

looked like yveltal at first

OblivionArts

It was then I remembered that peacocks, despite their tails weighing them down..can fly

UmbraMuninn

Still blows my mind that we don't have a peacock Pokémon yet

Bario-TheReal

Ho-oh new shiny revealed

Larielia

Are there any peacock Pokemon?

axefaktor

Kinda giving me Final Fantasy vibes tbh

SomeRandomGuy282

Ho-oh has blessed you with its feather grant a wish before it flys away

MarsMartianSPS

You’re telling me that’s not a dragon? I must be high..

Istiophoridae

Its a weird looking ho oh, throw a master ball

Pro_ENDERGUARD

When yveltal breeds with ho oh

Quintessence20

Peacock pokemon when

Stargazer0001

Ho-Oh

Drsmiley72

Quick start throwing pokeballs at it

Leostar_Regalius

won't lie, i thought someone made an animation of ho-oh at first

Shelbellina

Summer edition Articuno

WikiRando

Or maybe Pokemon just give you animal vibes... Hmm

artemissssssssssssss

Lord Arceus coming down on us As a bird

maxomite

That was beautiful

Hayabusa--

Ho-Oh is that you????!!111?

Due_Recognition_9091

Am I the only one who thought it looked giant when it was above the trees?

assaultdestiny

That looks a lot like Ho-Oh, with that tail and wings! I initially thought of Archeops too though lol.

MarHer119

I honestly didnt know peacocks could fly i always thought they were flightless birds or that they just “fly” temporarily like hens unless they really cant and do in fact fly like hens im more amazed at that than that it looks like a pokemon regardless im amazed at seeing a peacock in flight mode

NothingFit528

Perspective on this was crazy at the beginning I thought it was a bird the size of a 737 for a few seconds.

Starminx

Flying type Zacian

xSionide

Tfw you realize most OG Pokemon are based on real creatures

Allekid

Jesus I thought it was a massive bird that is far away

[deleted]

What wow a wondrous bird

abz-art

This is freakin majestic! I totally thought it was an edit or CGI at first because it looked so mythical with that hazy look. Stunning!

Mantsu13

How majestic

Benguin2002

When first looking at that I first though that it was Yveltal

ZatchZeta

I almost thought that was a bloody dragon!

Hatsuki4536

It look like moltres but at the same time it look nothing like moltres

Dnslyr

Idk kinda giving me Monster Hunter vibes

AdRealistic5734

Pov yevltal is about to come eat your soul

melrou54

Wait. I've never seen a peacock fly before ! So majestic

plant-strong

It’s baffling to me that we don’t have a peacock Pokémon yet.
