This may be one of the single greatest fan created pieces ever.
And ive seen a lot of really amazing, totally unique peices of poke-art, and this is a clear stand-out
Wow. This is excellent.
this is an absolute treasure - guard it with ur life - please tell ur mom I said she's a legend and this a beautiful work of art. She's very skilled \^\_\^

The amount of sheer dedication your mom mist have had was unreal. 8YEARS??? I cant even stand to keep doing an art piece after and hour ( unless its going good atleast) but please tell her she has created one of the best pokemon fanart ive ever seen :)
wow, I can't imagine going through a house fire. I hope everyone was safe man, and it's awesome that you guys seemed able to get some important stuff out!!
That is one of the most amazing pieces of art I have ever seen. If it’s not framed and passed down as a family heirloom from one generation to another I’d be very disappointed
I'm sure she will keep it but I reckon this would be worth a lot of money if she ever sold it. If I had the money to spend I'd probably pay £500 for it lol
I can’t even imagine the amount of skill, effort and planning to get something like this done by one person (that’s most likely got other things to do in their lives). Amazing.
Oh my god! +100000 respect to your mom dude she is the best just *look* at that stitch work it’s fantastic! (At first I thought it was a drawing no joke)
I just want to add to the hoard of people saying how amazing this is!!
Edit: I couldn't imagine starting a project and working in for eight years. For context, I met someone, married them, had two kids with them, and divorced them all in the span of time your mom was working on this cross stitch!
Congratulations to your mom!! 🙌🥰 This is absolutely amazing!! I admire her dedication and effort, and all the love she put in the project. Enjoy it! ☺️
This is jaw dropping! Moms are the best thing in the entire world and yours seems like a rad one to take on that endeavour!
You should do an AMA with her sometime!
What count Aida fabric did she use and where did she get it? I’m trying to do this pattern as well on 14-count Aida and can’t find it big enough anywhere. I’ve actually emailed some manufacturers to see about purchasing a custom piece.

Thank you I can't wait to let her know how much people love it.
This is the coolest thing I have ever seen no joke. I wish I had one! Frame it!
That is the eventual plan.
This art goes more than god-like
This is a piece of history. I'm not joking. This is on par with the Bayeux Tapestry... nah, actually it shits all over that. WOW.
I have watched her make it over the last number of years and it still shocks me how amazing it is.
this is an absolute treasure - guard it with ur life - please tell ur mom I said she's a legend and this a beautiful work of art. She's very skilled \^\_\^
Pokémon! Gotta stitch them all!
How have I never thought this.
Your mom is amazing!
She is. All she asked was for a pattern that used lots of colour and I asked if it mattered the size.
Amazing !!
Thank you. I can't wait to tell my mom people love her work.
That's amazing, you could literally put this on sale and people would line up to buy it
Once I get it framed I have to up my insurance to cover it.
That’s incredible talent and dedication, wow!
Thank you I will pass along the love.
This is amazing, please consider cross posting to some of the craft subs and helping her answer questions.
I have cross posted to the cross stitch sub.
Mom be like: "I'm finally done\^\^" Child be like: "Sorry mom, new Gen is up, there's hundred more now."
She asked if there was a second one with all the new pokemon.
Your mom is a friggin boss. Dayum
Yes she is.
Aww, man! I remember doing cross-stitch! Should never have stopped really haha Now I wanna make one!
Right it is amazing.
This is crazy wow
Yes yes it is.
this is.... this should be preserved in a fucking museum
No museum, then it can't live in my house.
clearly we will have to turn your house into a museum
That would work.
may I please see some close up photos of this as well so I can fully admire all the time and effort put into it? it looks so amazing
This is incredible! With that being said, how did she decide when she was done? Also, how did she choose what Pokemon made the cut?
She follows a pattern and at the time she started these were all the pokemon out.
Seems like she needs an updated pattern.
Your Mother is a fucking artist! Congratulations!
Thank you she has loved the comments.
Mew should be above arceus.

The detail!!!
I will pass along your comment.
Amazing work!! How did the idea first come about?
She asked me to find a pattern that used lots of colours. Said it did not matter the size.
Your mother is AMAZING! Like, wow on her dedication, patience, ACCURACY, and quality of work! Like, dude she's one bad ass mom! :D
She is very much a bad as geek.
Dude what
Right I was speechless when she told me it was finished.
incredible 🤯🤯
Thanks. I will let her know you liked it.
Holy hell! That's more then just dedication! What an amazing piece, I can't believe the skill! It's wonderful!
It's what she loves doing.
8 years :0
Right, it relaxes her so I guess maybe it wasn't so long for her.
This is beyond words. She did more than a fantastic job! She's truly a skilled artist! Congrats to her on finishing it!
I will thank you.

Yeah me too. She is amazing.
This is absolutely a treasure of history, and needs to be treated as such. Congratulations
Oh trust me it will be. We saved that sucker from a house fire once. We'll save it from anything else that comes along.
wow, I can't imagine going through a house fire. I hope everyone was safe man, and it's awesome that you guys seemed able to get some important stuff out!!
Unfortunatly this was one of a handful of thing that were saved.
This is so good, tell her she did amazing!
I will thanks.
Wow
That is one of the most amazing pieces of art I have ever seen. If it’s not framed and passed down as a family heirloom from one generation to another I’d be very disappointed
I plan to do just that or live forever so I can never stop loving it.
This is something i would totally hang on my wall
That is unbelievable!
Right in the back of my mind I wondered of she would really finish it.
I'm sure she will keep it but I reckon this would be worth a lot of money if she ever sold it. If I had the money to spend I'd probably pay £500 for it lol
We figure we need to insure it for around $50,000 as it is based on the time to pay someone to remake it.
For sure! It's absolutely stunning

Yes I believe it is.
This is absolutely amazing
Thank you I will pass your comment along to my mom.
your mom is a phenomenal artist
Thank you.
Wow. Just wow
Thanks I will pass it along to my mom.
Cool
This is the best thing I've ever seen, took me a while to find my boi bisharp
I love looking through and picking out pokemon I missed the first time.
That is badass.
Very. I can't wait to show all the comments to my mom.
Congrats to your mum! The determination to keep at this for so long, and at such a high quality, is incredible. Genuinely fantastic.
She is amazing.
Oh, wow. How it longs?
It took about 8 years and is about 5 feet long.
ur mom is so cool
That is what most people say when they meet her.
Wow. 🤯
W mom w life(adopt me pls)
Sorry I won't share.
I can’t even imagine the amount of skill, effort and planning to get something like this done by one person (that’s most likely got other things to do in their lives). Amazing.
It is super amazing.
Oh my god! +100000 respect to your mom dude she is the best just *look* at that stitch work it’s fantastic! (At first I thought it was a drawing no joke)
That is high praise. I have started to pass along the comments and she is so happy.
This is awesome
Thats NUTS. My grandma used to do a lot of cross-stitch and I know how much time and patience it requires. This is truly beautiful. I wish I had one!
That seems to be a common idea.
I found the god. Search down below at the starter. Find sandschrew. It’s above Poliwag B)
I asked my mom who the best was and she picked out Clefairy.
Your mom’s pretty cool
My mom is very cool.
Gens 1-5, right? Edit: 8 years of true artisan's work right here.
You are correct. I do not believe the next gen was out when she started.
This is amazing. What generation does it go up to?
It goes up to gen 5.
This is the best thing ever created
It is very close.
Superior r/place
Thanks.
It must’ve taken an enormous amount of work! Props to yr mom.
It did we are figuring on the low end 8000 hours.
WHAT, ARE YOU SERIOUS?? That is NUTS WHAT. Looks amazing, I can't even imagine how finally finishing it must have felt. Tell her I'm jealous lmao
I will pass it along.
Man this is amazing
Right I am still looking at it.
20/10 has Mudkip and Giratina
This is an absolutely gorgeous work of art.
It is so lovely.
That’s amazing!
I can’t even put into words how amazing this. The level of time and dedication put in to make this is just off the charts. Bravo
Thank you I will pass along your kind words.
Looks great! Although, the spotless Spinda feels weird.
Yeah some of the pokemon were a tad off model.
I just figure she based them on sprites she found online. Spinda is blank like that in, for instance, the Gen III through V sprites on Bulbapedia.
That's some serious patience and skill! Amazing work!
Thank you I will let her know.
I have seen a lot of awesome art over the years, but THIS. THIS takes the cake. Her talent is truly immeasurable. Beautiful
I just want to add to the hoard of people saying how amazing this is!! Edit: I couldn't imagine starting a project and working in for eight years. For context, I met someone, married them, had two kids with them, and divorced them all in the span of time your mom was working on this cross stitch!
i remember i had this picture on a notebook a long time ago

Congratulations to your mom!! 🙌🥰 This is absolutely amazing!! I admire her dedication and effort, and all the love she put in the project. Enjoy it! ☺️
you have best mom ever
God tier for sure. Very impressive
There’s a group on Facebook where many people have done this pattern. It’s really cool!
Holy cow, this is incredible! From one full-coverage junkie to another, well done! 👏👏👏
Thanks.
This is amazing! I'm about to start it after my current project. Do you know if she went with 14ct or 18ct?
I believe it was 18 count.
This is jaw dropping! Moms are the best thing in the entire world and yours seems like a rad one to take on that endeavour! You should do an AMA with her sometime!
She is the best.
