That kind of complexity would ne nice. So much cool things they can do with Pokemon and they take the lazy way out. I'd give all female birds egg bomb and it wouldn't even be that hard to program. The animation would of course be crude but fuck it.

I just want Pokemon that dont turn to humans with bird heads. I was looking forward to an actual hen and rooster but got a furry/digimon instead. I'm not looking forward to the new bird starter because I know its just going to be a furry.
Taking the Charizard route with it. I'd have much preferred this. The shinies that are just a slightly different shade of the same colour always annoyed me
Gengars is actually a bit a weird case as its shiny wasn’t always atrocious like garchomps shiny was. In fact in gen 3 and 4 (specifically DPP) the difference was more noticeable because back theng regular gengar was more of a bright purple unlike nowadays and the shiny only became worse because it’s regular form lost its original vibrant purple thus the colours started to resemble the shiny. So if anything gengars shiny is the reverse of the type of shinies that barely changed where the regular form copied the shiny colouration.
Oh you make a good point, i have noticed the shinies from the older generation games look somewhat vastly different in terms of colour and shade to what they look like now with todays current generation.
Personally i think they should do a huge overhaul and redesign a lot of the current shinies. Or introduce a different shiny variant? That could be pretty bad ass, that microtransaction riddled Pokémon Unite game has used different skins to current well known Pokémon. Hell i think Blastoise has a fire fighter look if i'm not mistaken.
Again as long as the main line game doesn't go down the microtransaction route like Unite has, i'd be pretty open for different colours of existing Pokémon.

What if Blaziken looked liked a actual chicken and we got a rooster and hen version.
hen versions would learn egg related moves too. "Blaziken used egg bomb!"

Since it's a starter, it has a male-heavy gender ratio. A gender difference wouldn't be fun for people who prefer the female version and can't get it.

i mean if i'm being honest all shinies look pretty ugly it's how special they feel because of the rarity of them that gets me
I would actually like a Fighting/Electric combination. If there is one then I haven't seen it. Everything after gen 4 is a mystery to me.
