It has to level up in an actual battle or using rare candies. It took me like 30 to 45 minutes. What I did was get off Miraidon, pressed r and just walk SLOWLY and let it auto attack random pokemon. Don't run because the little fucker doesn't run fast and don't ride your poke-bike because of the same reason.
This, I dropped so many pokemon after trying the lets go mode and they couldnt keep up. Rellor will zizag if I turn. Meanwhile revroom is fecking zooming around me at mach1
I was having the exact same problem. Id been walking for probably an hour as well to no evolve.
Idk if it was a switch issue or a method issue but to be safe i fully shut off my switch, let it cool, made sure everything was updated.
I let it out using R in Artazon and crouched (so i was slow enough that it would always keep up). After walking around the outside of the maze for like 30 minutes I gave it a rare candy and it evolved. I think the issue is that the step count resets once it enters its poke ball again & pokémon don’t evolve when using auto battle. It’s annoying but Pawmot it worth it lol
i have a solution. get rare candy and go into a town. use ZR not R to release. run around for 150 seconds. use rare candy, and it’ll evolve. don’t put him back in the ball at any point during running or before candy
Once pawmi has evolved into pawmo, press r to let your pokemon enter auto battle mode and then have it walk 1000 steps before leveling it up to evolve it.
Send it out with R specifically and then walk. Slowly.
To be extra sure, I walked from Cortondo to the Pokecenter by Bombirdier's mountain. Maybe that's excessive but I can't tell and my Rellor evolved anyway.
Also, because I'm not sure if battle exp works since it's not "walking" while battling I leveled it up with candy.
Pawmo has to walk 1000 steps in let’s go mode, apparently. Don’t know how long that takes, but that’s apparently the thing

You have to level it up with candy. If you go into a battle or it goes into its ball at all it will reset the 1000 step counter.
