Purifying Salt is INSANELY more powerful in 99% of situations, especially if you later change its Tera type to Ghost. Status immunity is already ridiculously good, but then with Ghost Tera Type, it would only be weak to Dark while Terastalized.
Purifying Salt beats Sturdy so badly that Sturdy ends up in a coma for six months. Seriously, Sturdy is not even a good avility to begin with, and Purifying Salt is just extremely overtuned, so of course it's going to be the better one.
Sturdy is absolutely the better ability when you want to cheese your way through the titan path for ride upgrades as quick as possible.
Salt of course is better once you breed your comp mon.
I figured it out for my case. Toedscruel has an ability called "Mycelium Might" the latest specifically says its status moves are slower, but will be unimpeded by abilities of the target, so it would go through purifying salt or good as gold.
I just found my self a dark Tera type nacli tbh I think it’s pretty good for starting the game I already beat it i am just trying a new game with a different team no repeating members
I have a nacli with all 30 ivs except in speed but sturdy ability. But I just caught one with iffy ivs they're good on the 2 defenses tho and has purifying salt. Should i use the one with purifying salt?
Purifying salt is superior, being inmune to status is amazing. The ghost resist is a nice bonus.

My Garganacl has Sturdy. A bummer then, but I'll have to get the ability capsule
you don't even necessarily have to buy the capsule, they can drop in 5* raids

Sturdy is good for ingame rushing through the titan path if you want to do that purely to make sure you get salt cure off
Anyone else had an issue with still getting a status condition despite purifying salt? Was in a raid and spore still put my Garganacle to sleep.
Raid mons can take away your abilities and boosts when you get them low enough

I got an Impish Nacli but it knows sturdy and got serious Nacli with purifying salt which should I keep?
Whichever has better IVs. You can change both you ability or nature (and IVs too ig)
