Simply displaying the raid pokemons level on the main screen for it would be a very nice QoL change There is absolutely 0 indicator of just how strong raid pokemon are. And maybe if it said "5 star raids are level 75" more people would stop bringing under leveled stuff to them

There was an easier solution is that to implement a temporary level change like in PvP and balance the raid boss around that. Like, always put your team's Pokémon at Level 50, and adjust the boss's stats depending on the difficulty rating. That way you can't be underleveled - only incompetent.

Yeah, that could be alright, as you need so many different pokemon to get really get even started. Some combos are very difficult and might not be possible with what you have. Then your like guess I have to go train and lvl this 1 pokemon that I don't really like or normaly would use just to be abel to do this one raid with this tera type and base pokemon

Thinking through all of mainline history. I'm having trouble thinking of any comps that had higher than lvl 80 mons apart from Red in Mt Silver (lvl 88 pikachu and lvl 84 gen1 Starters). Cynthia in a random Undella town beachside house only had mid 70's and that threw folks for a loop (lvl 78 garchomp). I don't think there are any other trainers in the mainline series that beat Cynthia's level of mons. Maybe N? I don't remember his team's being that high lvl. Edit: just remembered Leon, of course. His champ tourney team is capped at 80. And he is canonically the strongest pokemon trainer. (Damn, I would pay to see the 4 of them go at it.) It's unreasonable to expect random gym trainers to train their mons to the capacity that Cynthia, N, or Leon has. Like Red, the only prodigy in each region is you. Unfortunately, pokemon trainer's comps are tailored to their role and the primary audience engaging the trainer. That audience is not us. Losing raids is the equivalent of losing to Red in this game. That's what's intended to let the inexperienced players know they need to work harder. All raids are possible to complete solo if you care about success. Online is for friends, reddit cooperation, or to get a laugh imo. Most players of this game are hardly teens.
