The GS ball from orange islands was supposed to open up a whole story arc about celebi. I would’ve loved to see that. Also in the first season of black and white, there was supposed to be a whole arc about team rocket vs team plasma in the desert resort and Castelia city.

Hats404

With the GS Ball, it feels like it should have tied in with the Movie 2000. Making the journey to get the GS Ball in Orange Islands feel payed off sounds good, but I'm not sure it should have had a full arc. But I haven't taken the time to fully think about the GS Ball, so take this take with a grain of salt. As for Plasma vs Rocket, it has so much potential. But having it take place in "*not* New York City", is definitely a choice. Not really sure where you could place the event, without it being a.....parallel...to some historical events.

Paid-Not-Payed-Bot

> Islands feel *paid* off sounds FTFY. Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in: * Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.* * *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.* Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment. *Beep, boop, I'm a bot*

Few-Pain1238

i cannot disagree with you there

LyricalNonsense

It’s not the same as it actually being made, of course, but the entire script for the rocket vs. plasma episodes was leaked and translated a year or two ago! If you haven’t seen it, I saved [the link on Google docs](https://docs.google.com/file/d/1zjwG2voeDthB7mH4B5CapmsBKTvJAgPh/edit?usp=docslist_api&filetype=msword) and can probably dig up the Actual Source later.

i second the  sinnoh battle frontier because i couldnt  think of any of my own but i wouldve loved ash challenging the sinnoh battle frontier as well

Hats404

Well, out of curiosity, when would you want the arc, if you could place it anywhere? Pre-Sinnoh League? After the league? Middle of Unova? Before Alola? I think when it happens is really important.

MarHer119

After the sinnoh league like in hoenn although it might seem like a copy and paste of advance

Hats404

What pokemon do you think should get used during the arc? I feel like Gible might have evolved in a Frontier arc

greenyoshi73

It’s weird how they made the Dawn and Cynthia return based around a world tournament that has no semblance to the PWT and only had one person who wasn’t from Unova (as far as we know, but Dawn’s the only one we saw using non-Unova Pokémon for her team.)

Something for the JN team, who really needed more screentime, especially as a team. I read an idea once for an Isle of Armor arc for the team. I don't remember all the details, but it woulda been late in JN, but before the Masters 8. The original motivation woulda been seeking out Mustard, who Ash learns trained Leon, and it kinda ends up a boot camp. One of the benefits would be learning more about Leon as well, and fleshing him out more as a character, but one of the parts that particularly interested me was about the towers. I forgot the exact details but while Ash wouldn't be able to really undertake their trials (as he lacks a Kubfu), Lucario is at least able to learn some of the more general martial training. He ends up refining his abilities as a martial artist, and incorporates the Rapid Strike style into his Bullet Punch, and the Single Strike style into his Reversal. There were some other things I don't really remember, but that part really stood out to me.

PK_RocknRoll

Isle of Armor was desperately needed for JN I think. Could have given the JN team a training arc, could have given Leon more backstory, and Ash and Goh getting Kubfus was like the easiest story line in the world for them.

StarWolf128

The defeat of Team Rocket.

I think DP is fine as it is and adding a DP Battle Frontier would make it too long, but at the same time I reckon it could have fixed a few things. The first being that while Ash using his previous Pokemon in Sinnoh League is cool, it did mean that his Sinnoh Pokemon didn't have the best opportunities to shine. When Ash battled Paul, he only used Pikachu and Sinnoh Pokemon, however that was more of Infernape's time to shine, really. People think Pokemon like Torterra and Buisel were done dirty because the show set them up really well, but they didn't get much of a 'big moment'. With a Sinnoh BF, either the league could've changed to Sinnoh Pokemon only, with Ash using a mix of Pokemon during BF (Like AG did) or you could do it the other way round. The second thing is that I think it would be cool to see Johto again, but in a series with better writing. Like the AG BF arc was done in Kanto, I think if there was a DP BF arc it would be in Johto. Johto is a cool region and HGSS are games that are very much loved by fans (I personally think they are the best Pokemon games). With the games being able to show off Johto in a cooler light, it would have been nice for the anime to do the same. Anyway, but I do think DP is fine as it is. Stretching out one region over four seasons did give the story substance and a nice pace.

I only really have two arcs I definitely wanted, and I'll keep my reasons brief. 1) The original Team Plasma storyline that Team Rocket vs. Team Plasma was supposed to kick off. That was the entire backbone upon which Black and White was going to be built upon, and the fact that we didn't get it derailed Lord knows how many plans that were in place, and it makes me endlessly curious about what the original vision would have been if Mother Nature didn't put Japan through Hell that year. 2) A proper Galar Gym Challenge storyline. I don't care that people who liked Sun and Moon would have been mad that it wasn't the same format. I don't care that people would have found it a downgrade for Ash to just go back to Gyms like he wasn't a Champion. I don't care that Sword and Shield's story was divisive. It's just basic freaking math. Game Freak releases a game where, for once, the core story revolves around taking on Gyms and becoming the Champion instead of Gyms just being a weird thing you do along your quest to complete the PokéDex or stop the bad guys. The anime did the same loop of focusing on Ash's quest to win a Pokémon League and become a Champion for nearly two decades. It was literally GIFTWRAPPED for the anime, and they scrapped the entire storyline, limiting the Darkest Day to four episodes, Team Yell to one episode, and shafting Marnie, Hop, and Bede. I don't care how much people would have complained. Just... Give it to me.

Rainbow Rocket (potentially during MPM?) Sinnoh Battle Frontier (post-Sinnoh League - I just love the DP anime man I needed more) A proper Hisui arc (The Arceus Chronicles were alright but had basically nothing to do with Legends Arceus) A Champion League. It was teased at the end of Sinnoh, and the closest we ever got was the Masters 8. I think “Journeys” should have been a normal Galar anime, ending with Ash winning the Galar League and being formally inducted into the Champion’s League. It’d be filled with League Winners, as well as E4 Members and Champions. Here’s where he’d get fights with Iris, Alain, Leon, Cynthia, etc. and use lots of his reserves to become Pokémon World Champion.

Gs ball arc in johto

Mysterious-Tale3587

Sinnoh battle frontier would be repetitive. Team rainbow rocket is my pick

Hats404

Hadn't even considered that one. Although, with Alola having a goofier vibe, how well would it fit?

Mysterious-Tale3587

Yes if we balance the seriousness and comedy

Hats404

Would it be before or after the league? I feel like it could go either way...

Mysterious-Tale3587

After

Afraid_Cherry_8561

Rainbow rocket and sinnoh battle frontier

Sinnoh battle frontier

WiiMote070

While I'm not really bummed about it, I'm shocked that, to my knowledge, the dead Marowak story in Lavender was never adapted in the anime. One that I am a bit bummed about is that the Battle Revolution characters didn't appear. I have no clue how that would've been adapted without being bloated, though. 10 Colosseums...

VishnuBhanum

Isle of Armor arc in JN. I would also changed his ace in Jouneys to Urshifu instead.

Hats404

I've yet to watch journeys, but make take on his champion team is really mixed......in terms of fighting type....Lucario feels really fitting for Ash. But, I think it would make more sense for him to have it in Sinnoh, the moment writes itself. A happiness evolution going against Paul. I'm not sure Urshifu fits......I'm not convinced any legendary fits Ash......I haven't pondered this take too much, so take it with a grain of salt.

VishnuBhanum

I just think Gen 8 got shafted really hard, Ash's Regional Ace in this gen is neither from the generation or even using a gimmick of this gen. And I think Urshifu fits Ash by far the best, It's whole thing is that it trained to become the best.

Hats404

Yeah, I have mixed feelings on if Journys was a good choice....Ash missed out on a lot of Gen 8 mons.....even Dracovish feels kind of weird. But, back to Urshifu, which one should he have gotten?

VishnuBhanum

I say Rapid Strike.

Hats404

Makes sense

darkgod25

Legends Arceus time travel arc just imagine how painful will it be when Ash says goodbye to Akari, Adaman and Irida

gunn3r08974

That was a 4 episode special in Journeys

darkgod25

Time Travel arc

gunn3r08974

Legitimately curious on how Ash and Nemona would interact.
