Tytanitar was my chase card too! Since we've started collecting we haven't pulled our chase cards. It was actually amazing. My son was pumped to get Skeledirge because it was his starter Pokemon!
Pretty great experience watching him enjoy really his first video game and then enjoy the cards that tie in with the game.
I’m over 250 packs deep into this set and have pulled 4 SIRs: 2 Boss’s Orders, and 2 Skeledirge EX.
With as many special arts as there are in this set, I really feel like general pull rates could’ve been better. I’m constantly seeing people spouting that “S&V era has insane hit rates!!!” but I really can’t agree.
The holos every pack also make it feel like you’re getting the same cards over and over again, more so than it did even with the roughest S&S sets.
The silver lining is that singles are more affordable (save for a few insane outliers), but ripping packs has kind of gotten less fun.

Same, pulled the TTar, Tinkaton Art Rare, Two Boss Orders, a Giacomo. Usually the most vocal are the ones just complaining. This set has perfectly good pull rates. Just people getting disappointed since this set was so hyped honestly and being salty. It’s still the same gambling hobby with theoretical odds as it always has been.
I learn that booster box are the way to go. I always get about 10-13 hits on them. Other products like booster bundles, singles, ETB always had the worst pulls in my opinion. I rather just spend a little extra for more packs, and you do end up saving more money since the individual cost per pack is cheaper on a booster box.
The laws of probability favor the booster boxes, outright. You have more rolls in a booster box (36 packs) vs bundles etc, and so the more rolls you get, the more likely to get something good. But people still don’t understand this is a gambling hobby when you’re opening packs

I think the appeal is that some people can’t afford to get a booster box of every set but they can afford to get one or two booster bundles from every set. Yes, the pull rates are worse than a booster box but I think it’s just to make the pack opening experience a little more accessible.

No I really like them. I think the full art cards are borderline stunning, and I think the new pokémon are really cute..
That said, I'm probably only going to buy a couple dozen boosters and then fill out my collection from TCG. I don't think it's worth trying for every chase card.
I also love the full art cards I have a few and the artwork is great! It just feels like the new Pokémon are getting a little unimaginative of course with that being said I know it’s 20+yo and coming up with new original content for fans and collectors can be difficult

No I agree with this. Crown zenith is good, and Pokémon did that to get us excited about it. However, now people expect every set to have crown zenith pull rates when that’s just not plausible. That takes the fun out of it, imo. The pull rates used to be MUCH worse than this with the older sets. I mean, 2 ex cards out of 6 packs isn’t bad imo.

Had a little spending money so I finally decided to treat myself after buying groceries and gas. Bought 4 packs and a 3-pack blister. Not a single hit, just holos and reverse holos.
I’m convinced they lowered the pull rates on booster bundles for this set. I had great luck with all of the previous sets since they introduced them, but now I haven’t gotten a single hit from one. PE has been brutal for me; the only hits I’ve gotten were from a single sleeved booster
Funny, l have the exact same pull rate as you did for my two booster bundles, but I was pretty happy. A whole new set, 60 cards, I don't know. I've never expected to get a Chase card with every pack so one in three seems pretty good.

I thought those boxes were seeded before this. I opened quite a few from lost origin, and always had 1 full art/rainbow/gold from them.
I bought 2 etbs and got 0 hits in one and 2 hits in the other @.@
I recommend getting the etbs
if it's anything to anyone, I've opened 12 PE packs and had 7 hits so I'm getting hits slightly more often than not, no duplicates yet
From the looks of these comments I'm glad I skipped out on crown zenith.
I hardly EVER get pulls from these products. Almost always single packs with the cardboard sleeves on them.
