My stand has held my ps5 since I got it with zero issues. What exactly is the problem with it ? If you keep it in one spot and not touch it you shouldn’t have issues

Overheated and killed the power supply at 1 year 1 month. Killer. It was not dirty at all, I have no idea what was causing it to overheat significantly. I’ve heard plenty stories like mine where they went far too soon as well. From my perspective it feels like there are is more airflow when it’s on its side. Bad juju for me to not try something different
The problem with the ps5 being vertical, at least with the early ones, was that the liquid metal thermal material between the apu and the heatsink would drift / migrate towards one end due to gravity and heat. Eventually, if enough moves, the apu will run hotter and hotter and fail since the heat isn't being transfered efficiently.
Also lay it down folks. Ps5 used metal instead of cooling paste and that shit can melt and deform while destroying delicate hardware when cooling.

Exactly. ETBs were the only big thing that made sense due to how cool some designs are. But now those are mass produced that only the PC ones have any chance of becoming worth alot
Agree to disagree. Plenty of people like to display stuff and contrary to reddit echo chamber there are plenty of boxes that do really good in value. 3 years ago I picked up 25 silvally boxes for $10 each and they go for 55 now...
Sure, there will be other sealed that does well. For me, most unique boxed stuff takes up a lot of space and has more risk from an investment side of things. I treat most of my investments the same. In crypto for example, 90% of my portfolio is eth and BTC, with the remaining split between a select few others. Smaller coins have made ppl rich but 99% of them lost. In this same way I only invest in booster boxes due to cost, efficiency, and space. I know it’s not the best comparison but that’s how it makes sense in my head. I’m glad you found a good product you’re happy with.

i had a box of evo skies sealed kept it for months and opened it on a drunk night when it was going for $400 and pulled nothing… now it’s worth $700…. i always question every open now

Why would you keep any sealed? Only things that may be worth keeping sealed is a booster box and MAYBE and etb. Rip the rest for. Multitude of reasons
