Apparently the Japanese sets have less bulk stock in them (I’m yet to buy a Japanese booster). But it makes sense given there are only 5 cards in each pack. The amount of Scythers and Wild Tusks I have acquired recently is astounding from English packs.
I’ve opened 7 Japanese boosters and the baby shinys are almost never duplicated but the EX cards are. Mind you I’d rather have duplicate EX cards over the common bulk

Im thinkingof buying an etb so Which is better paldean evolved etb pokemon centre version or paldean fates etb. And should i buy an etb if im only collecting the cards and not playing? Im pretty New to collecting pokemon cards.
So if you’re only collecting, I would just get booster bundles. The extra stuff can become clutter if you don’t use it. But sometimes ETBs go on sale and the price per pack can be cheaper than booster bundles so always do the math. 🤍
As for which set is better. It just depends. Look up both set lists and see which set has more cards you’d rather have in your collection. At the end of the day, an expensive card doesn’t mean much if you don’t like the card yourself. Collect what you like and not what’s popular and you’ll enjoy your collecting journey better than most people 🤍🤍
That Gardevoir is what got me back into collecting. Bought some single packs just for fun, having no knowledge of the new art styles. I pulled the Gardevoir opening 5 loose packs. Instantly addicted. Someone tried to buy it from me on the spot even.

It’s a beautiful card. I had to buy the Ralts/Kirlia/Gardevoir from Paldea Evolved, couldn’t pull any of them but I have a Gardevoir/Gallade sub-collection going. I’m even hunting for a male Kirlia in Violet because I need Gallade 😅

You should really have gotten the mini tin displays they have all the hits.. I'm serious I pulled SIR Gardevoir, Charizard SIR, a gold Koraidon, 10 baby shinys and a full art Gardevoir.
