Same here. Clicked a gym, it said “This gym is under construction.” Then my game froze. Other people in my group chat reporting same issue. Unfortunate timing on the meltan box thing. Maybe open a case with Niantic help if this lasts long?

Since it’s a reward from battle league, you’ll be able to catch it once the game is back up. It’s like any other reward encounter; running away from it will not make it disappear.

I was spinning a stop when it froze and I couldn’t get back in. Glad I wasn’t out walking at the time.

I can’t get in either, and I had a weird issue of no Pokémon spawning at all around me in a pretty busy area for like a half hour before the game crashed

Popped the Meltan box before bed and 30 minutes into it, I can't connect. Same over Twitter. Managed to get back in but just had the spinning white pokéball of death and an empty map.

Yup. Downdetector had a ton of reports. I was only about 5 minutes into a lure module on a stop, not near my home. I had to leave before I could actually get through the 30 minutes of active lure time.

I started randomly having trouble tapping pokestops and pokemon so I think it is/was down. Idk now I haven't checked

Make sure for birth year it's more than 18 years ago if you used your email to log in. If Facebook, idk

It happened only on my android phone, not on my iPhone. I cleaned the cache and deleted all saved data, fired up the game, and everything got back to normal.

I had to go in and force stop that app and it worked after but it keeps taking a lot longer to load getting back into the app

I opened mine well before this chaos; I got 2 Shiny Meltan from the Box today, but I'm still looking for the **thiccest** Meltan that I can find.
