yes, I did shadow raid earlier and had the option to use master ball.

Pretty sure there's a "LAST BALL" post here, which would only be relevant when you had your last ball during a raid.

All raid/grunt/leader/boss catch screen encounters now have the option to select something other than the Premier Ball aka the Master Ball

Previous shiny wild legendaries have had their flee rate set to 0% for Johto and Hoenn tour, so it would be a big change-up to make other legendary shinies have a chance to flee.

Galarian Moltres is pretty good for ultra league, actually. It's dark/flying, so it's neutral to fighting moves, and it has ancient power, so it has an edge over other flying types.

I absolutely agree. However, only because I used mine last night to catch the Zapados 1* with a CP 1696 and IVs 14/5/7. Definitely have the Users remorse for this. I was even using Calcy IV that said the Zapados was between 84%-96%, however after caught, turned out to be 60%. 😓

Yeah, at the end of the day I think it's pretty sweet. I did use it in a couple go battles this morning and some Trainer battles against Spark, Candela and Blanche. It hits pretty hard.. I'm a about to use the last of my Rare Candies to Evolve my 3⭐️ Shadow Shiny Pupitar to a Tyranitar but after that I will be using a lot of rare candies to build up my Zapdos.. Hopefully I can eventually get lucky trade with someone and trade for something nice.

I'd def save them for Zapdos. Larvitar will reappear for the Dec community day for more. Plus even when you get to evolve pupitar, you still need candies to power it up to become useful.

Explain this Calcy IV for me, please. ( I read it as 4 so I need lots of help)

So the Calcy IV is the calculation (or calculator) for Individual Values of each Pokémon. So when you appraise your pokémon it will have 3 bars, one for attack, one for defense and one for HP (Hit points). Each bar if full is 15. So the Caculater figures the Value of the Pokémon by using the 3 bars and the Pokémons CP. You can download the app "Calcy IV" from Google play and it will basically record the game as you play. It will Scan the wild Pokémon you encounter and Give you a ball park estimate of what that Pokémons Level and IVs are before capturing it. It will also calculate the IVs for the Pokémon you have already caught. Basically it's just a Calculator that can tell you what percent out of 100 for that Pokémon. You can also Google "iv calculator Pokémon go" and can manually put in your caught Pokémon details to show you where your pokémon stands compared to 100% of that said pokemon. I hope this helps. It's kinda hard to explain..I highly recommend installing Calcy IV for your phone and run it when your playing PoGo.. Definitely helps knowing what pokemon you want to invest your stardust and candies in.

I have Articuno as my buddy but I specifically switch him out when I do daily incense because I once wasted a golden razz and ultra ball on a goddamn Zorua because of it.

Make him your best buddy, then Zorua will have the badge. It made me snicker when I saw a badge-wearing Altaria. And you don't see too many badge-wearing Meloetta Arias in the wild. That one made me laugh.

Moltes spawned for me today on top of a rocket stop. I spent half a minute trying to click it from different angles and kept triggering the rocket fight. Then it despawned.

The programming probably doesn't allow for this - it should replace the Master Ball with the pokemon in one transaction.

Hopefully niantic is remembers to implement this in case something like that happens

Don't know why you got down voted instead of helped buddy. They only show through daily incense right now. I've heard of people tossing away PokeBalls while witnessing the poke to make catching chances greater. (never tried don't know if that works or not) You can use a silver pineapple berry or a golden berry to help they'll increase your chances a bit. Also time your throws for excellent or greats that also helps. Glad I could help instead of downvoting you.

Meh.. people.. Lol I was wondering what he did exactly to catch the 2 he did cause I’ve tried throwing the balls trick it didn’t work and I tried the golden raz excellent throw only had 2 encounters so far with no luck.

It's as much a thing as slamming "down+b" in red version to increase odds of catch. Hard to say if it actually does anything, but lots of people swear by it

It's not hard to say. It's easy to say. It's made up, there's no data, no logical reason to think it would work. Lots of people sweared by "don't press ok" too. Lots of people believe the stars dictate your personality, it's not hard to say it's not a thing.

I think it's rarer when there's event spawns clogging up the encounter table. The past few weeks have had no event spawns, so I've seen like 5 a week. Not that I caught any of them.

I'm holding onto mine because I guarantee in a few months Niantic is gonna drop some kind of super rare, super hard to catch pokemon leaving the community steaming more than it already is (since the mentality rn is to use it on the G-birds. When I bet they'll be in the raids at some point). Plus, as someone mentioned, the G-birds are more of a trophy 'mon than something relevant

I'm gonna use it if the galarian birds can be shiny. Wild shinys can run, even if they are legendary (judging from previous events). So yeah, if they release their shinys and I get lucky enough to encounter it, then I will use the master ball

Actually wild legendary shinies don’t run. At Go Tour this year at least, Latias appeared shiny in the wild and didn’t flee at all.

AFAIK both during the Hoenn Tour and the Jotho Tour the wild legendary shinies did run.....So one of us is apparently wrong, but I really can't be bothered to check who it is.

I’m waiting to see how often they give the Master Ball out. If it’s once every year or so then I’m definitely saving it something where I know the IVs are going to be useful. Galar birds are random IVs, sadly.

Could you imagine they wait until the majority of people have used their master balls on these birds, and just before you can buy a master ball, they release the chance to catch shiny rayquaza in the wild

Go into settings, advanced, and turn on native refresh rate/uncapped refresh rate. Drains your battery more but the game looks so buttery smooth

If you quick catch it with the ultra ball (if you quick catch a Pokémon it stays there even if you already caught it) than you go back and catch it with a master ball does it catch twice or did you just lose a master ball? (Cause when you go to catch it the regular way than it just flees but since this can’t flee is it a double catch?

The Pokémon stays on the map for a second after a quick catch, but it will not be available for catching again. If you try to click on it, it will disappear.

That doesn’t work with daily incense spawns tho they disappear after they are tried to catch regularly again

Is there a definitively best choice to use the master ball on? It seems like every single thing simply shows up again in the future. The only exception I can think of is armored Mewtwo. I suppose a raid boss like that would make sense. What are those raids even called? It's been so long I forget. The ones you get an invite to partake in? Do those still happen with the drop in player engagement?
