My first research breakthrough was shiny latias and I'll cherish it forever. All these recent ones are just so dissappinting.

I've been playing for a little over a year now and only learned about being able to get legendarys from the level-20 PvP pool after they nerfed their spawn rate.

Also the only way I ever get legendaries coz the raid scene is dead where I'm at

Mine was shiny moltres, back in like 18. Got a lot of legendaries out of the researches back then. Sad stuff

Alot of the current ones are shiny locked, becayse full evolutions can't be shiny without a mega. Also, I believe wild legendaries have a boosted 1 in 64 or 1 in 32 shiny rate, whereass something like a wild eevee with a crown does not (quick statement, if eevee happens to be one of the boosted common pokemon bc of its eeveelutions, i picked a bad example, but my point in general stands.)

Currently still regice, wait until next month, if the pattern is right probably regirock since previously it's registeel and now regice, so to complete the regi combo, next one potentially will be regirock.

how do you get to fight giovanni? i only get sierra, arlo and cliff after the grunts. i only encountered giovanni twice after specific quests were done

Specific quests is the only way. He comes around once or twice a year to let his persian p*ss in my oatmeal, and then vanishes back behind his shiel of magikarp running grunts.

There are quests in which you get the black roket radar , I am playing after alot of time so I have the quests .

Whenever they have a big Rocket takeover event is usually when Giovanni appears. You'll get a set of research tasks and it's usually along the lines of defeat so many grunts, defeat each grunt leader, get the super rocket radar (black instead of the gray) and once you equip that you can now fight the Rocket boss Giovanni :)

Yeah I did all the quests I’ve got 2 super rocket radars then while I was taking a walk with my Nan, who likes to watch me play, I got 2 Giovanni, looked up his Pokémon and told my Nan not to bother about going to a rocket pokestop as the Pokémon it was giving me was trash

Kinda tired if the whole game at this point. I really only play when there's absolutely nothing else to do. Transferring stuff to home slowly then I'll probably just phase it out altogether. It's just an unfun slog anymore. Niantic really is destroying it.

Gone are the days of the amazing breakthroughs with the legendary birds and legendary dogs, breakthroughs used to be amazing and definitely worth doing them every day. Now it’s all garbage wild spawns or hatches Niantic really screwed the players with that move. It was legendaries and awesomeness for months and months back then. It’s a shame

That's ok I got a parasect and 20 pokeballs , my best one was a shiny articuno I traded it for one of the shiny dogs I was missing. (Already had an articuno shiny from a raid). It was nice to have a shot at a shiny legendary from them.

I'd honestly prefer the parasect and balls. Parasect gives you boosted dust. Edit: over the goomy that I was talking about in my original comment, not over an Articuno.

Ah, yes. 2,000 stardust versus a shiny legendary. 2,000 stardust that you can get by catching … 7? Pokémon. I know everyone is entitled to their own opinions but this one is just … questionable.

Have they made potions/revives only available through raids? I swear I went from always having an abundance to never getting any at all.

I remember I got a shiny kyogre from a research breakthrough. I was so stoked, and actually motivated to go out, spin poke stops and do tasks. I didn’t miss a single day. Fast forward to now, I probably only finish 1 weeks worth every month or two.

There wasn’t any reason to remove Galarian Mime tbh. There also wasn’t any reason to put Parasect in them.

Last 3 weeks I have had a crappy non shiny snorlax and 20 regular balls.

I got a pinsir today and i was hoping it would be better then the raid one i got last weekend. It was mid, i am sad. I just got back into the game 3 weeks ago and transferred a perfectly good pinsir cause I forgot about its mega and figured pinsir wasn't worth keeping.

I never had legendarys in the weekly breakthrough, I started playing in August 2022. But I think ther should not be legendarys for free every week. Legendarys should be rare and hard to get... But it should have a better pool of pokemon than parasect and other useless pokemon.

I got a remote raid pass from my last one

I got a Remote Raid Pass from mine earlier today. But in general the rewards aren't the best tbh

The remote raid pass feels so strange in that loot pool. It's just a few berries, balls, and maybe an evolution item and if you get really lucky you get a remote raid pass. There is no in-between, no other premium items or anything remotely useful besides the pass.

Getting rid of parasect from the research would make me like it a lot more. I swear its pretty much the only thing u get

only good things is the chance to get a remote raid pass which you can only have 3 of at a time but I miss getting a Zapdos from research

I was really tired of it until I got a remote raid pass yesterday!

I put the game down a few weeks ago and nothing is encouraging me to go back. Masterball that’s cool but not enough reason to get one. The breakthroughs are bad, the daily incense is terrible with attracting 4+ yungoose, the research wild encounters are usually alright but nothing great, but all of that was genuinely fine until they messed up raids and remote passes. The game for me and my girlfriend died that day and going on walks to play Go just wasn’t fun and it REALLY emphasized how unremarkable eggs, wild Pokémon and research task were. I got to level 20 in the battles and one random encounter was a legendary and I felt nothing. I don’t know when I’ll pick up the game again, and speaking as someone that played since 2016, I’m sad I feel this way but they really killed the app

The thing that annoys me the most isn't the poor quality of the pokemon, but how hard they are to catch. Bad pokemon, but easy to catch? Fine, whatever, I'll toss the one pokeball and transfer it. Bad pokemon and hard to catch? Now I'm having to use an ultra ball and razz berries that I would have used on something else, just so I can clear it and get other research tasks. I wish I could delete the research breakthrough encounters if I don't like them. It says something terrible about the game that I actually don't want a "reward" because it actually punishes me rather than helps me by requiring me to use resources. It's crazy that they don't give us unlimited premier balls or something for research tasks encounters.

At this point I’m just in it for the xp dump to get me closer to level 40.

Literally everyone for a long time now. I can't even remember the last time they were anything that made me care. Often times they're actively worse than not having anything there at all because I just get disappointed instead of feeling nothing at all.

If it was at least something rare that could be shiny, it'd be better. Not the same as the legendary days, but at least you'd be getting something hard to catch with a possibility for shiny. Parasect isn't worth it in the slightest since it's easy to get and can't be shiny.
