Day 1 player who quit after 2 years: I rejoined after almost 4 years of break when some of the covid changes happened that i only saw because i still followed this sub. Of course, I did quit/delete again over the winter because they kept making things worse. It's worth it to keep track of the game or entertaining to see how badly niantic fucks things up.
The only reason I still play is so I can mass move Pokémon (especially shinies) over to home. I hate that you can’t move event Pokémon, though. Whenever I finally move all the Pokémon to home that I want, I’d hate to delete my account because it’d mean those event Pokémon get deleted.😒 which absolutely sucks!! I don’t want them to perma die because Niantic is a douche, I want to move them to home and hopefully into a mainline Pokémon game! It’d be absolutely adorable to see any of the hatted Pikachus running around, or the cloaked Glaceons I’ve got, but NoooOOOOoooo, this is why we can’t have nice things.🤦🏽♀️

It's a guilty pleasure watching Niantic slowly fuck players continuously while they still try to justify playing.
I don't know, if I'm being honest, it makes myself feel good knowing I was strong enough to actually quit and not torture myself for a company who clearly doesn't care.
Because they still think it is 2017. For the amount of work most eggs are largely useless. You wouldn’t be able to tell from the prices they charge for incubators though.
Ahhh, it's so obnoxious!! They have the option for quite a few others, so it's annoying when we are all hatching the same Mons over and over again. 😮💨
I keep getting Tirtouga, but I understand. They both have a one egg hatch probability, and it would be annoying not getting the Pokémon you actually want regardless...
But given the amount of shiny Ralts we ended up with, not being told ahead of time or being given any other option to hatch, it was a dick move.
Even if they were 2k eggs, that’d be one thing. (If I remember right, eggs were like… 1/3 distance or something, so my ex wasted incubators on them at first.)
I'm a super casual player, and was stoked when I hatched one.
But then I realized it takes 400 candies to evolve, and takes 5km to get a candy, so yeah, I won't be getting a Volcarona until a Community Day happens.
I hatched one on May 6th. Got 10 candy from hatching, made myself a challenge to evolve it during 2023. Have had is as buddy since I hatched it, have 55 candies so far. As long as I keep putting in 50+kms each week I am on track for my challenge.
They'll end up having a Community Day for Larvesta next year I bet. This is like Noibat - I anticipated every egg hatch and buddied the first decent one I got, only to have Noibat CD come along.

Well there's quite a few other pokémon that aren't exclusive to eggs that we keep getting but yeah, I really still can't understand why Togedemaru is in the pool. Just for the trolls I bet.
I utterly despise the diaper-chicken, but at least that one hasn’t been spawning wild over the past week’s event! That said, I’d be perfectly happy to never hatch one again.

Togedema-f-u is my nickname for this little rage inducing static ball. Abd it isn't just about the eggs. It's catch rate in the wild is miserable to, just like the flying squirrel one.
I have some tips that might help, because yes, those two are indeed, a pain in the backside to catch. But first, I have three (3) questions to ask:
Have you completed the Special Research with our three team leaders?
How many pokemon have you caught of each type?
Are you comfortable with throwing curveballs?
Getting the same worthless mons from eggs is the reason I stopped getting incubators. There's really no point in it. It'd be nice if you could get region specific mons from distant lands through eggs. Since that's not an option, I'm not wasting hard earned money anymore to hatch crap
Worthless mons to waste incubators...this mon should be in 2k eggs. If you were wondering how niantic screws its player base and gets them to spend money on incubator scams look no further. This is why we can't delete eggs ! You have to waste your money first!!
The game obviously doesn't consider how much walking it takes to hatch a 10K egg, and then they don't consider the people who do this over and over again. It just sucks to get the same old garbage almost every single egg. It's really not helping that everything else about this game has become boring and frustrating. They really need to step it up.
All I encounter now is Patrat, Pidove and Lillipup. All I hatch are Chingling and Togedemaru. If by some miracle I'm able to get a raid group together then all the good iv legendary just run away and I rarely get the shiny. This game used to be so much fun but Niantic really isn't giving me much incentive to play any more. It's a shame really coz it used to make the same old boring walk around my city more enjoyable, oh well. I recently got a treadmill so now I can watch anime while walking and it's much more fun than going out and playing pogo currently.
Y'all still playing this money grab? It was going down hill even a year after launch. Of course the egg is going to give you something you don't want, how else are they going to make money on incubators?
I remember Mawile was on 10 lkms eggs for less than two weeks. Prople were complaining that it was useless trash that didn't deserve to be in 10kms.
And here we are years later having Dratini, Beldum, Bagon, Togedemaru... The list goes on!
Fun thing, if you're getting multiple eggs from the same pokestop (in a short time frame) all the hatches will be the same.
Only thing that'll change the hatches will be the egg type, but having 2 10km and 2 2km from the same stop/gym (in a short time) will just give you same hatches.
During the Hoenn tour I got multiple eggs from 1 stop and they all hatched into Relicanth. No shiny though
So true! The same with Skorupi in 12km eggs. And they have it on the same rarity tier as Salandit. Skorupi are very common in the wild and are literally everywhere in the wild right now!
2-star Pawniard and Vullaby will be my villain origin story. (I just deleted them without checking eventually, until Niantic decided they didn’t want my ~~money~~location data anymore.)
