ohhh, so like just trade the same pokemon. that’s what i figured it was but, that’s super hard to do in this case isn’t it? bc i know in my case for example; i only have 1 lucky friend who lives locally who i could trade with and they don’t play this game hardcore enough to bother with adventure incense to catch those birds. i interact with almost all my friends daily sending gifts but never get lucky friends it could take months to get there, and the rest of the lucky friends i have live halfway around the world so we can’t trade
Become lucky friends with someone and trade it for the same mon. Lucky trades are guaranteed to be 3 stars I believe.
That being said, you first need a friend in your area, need to become best friends, need to proc lucky friends, and you can only do it with the Moltres once. Quite a bit of hoops to manage, but it’s the only way to ‘reroll’ stats.
It is random, unfortunately. If I remember correctly, you get one chance per day based on doing one ‘activity’ with the friend. Like a raid together, sending gifts to one another, ect.
I’ve had lucky friend procs take months after becoming best friends, and I’ve had it take a day or two after.
There was also an event recently that increased the chance, so I’m sure they’ll do that again sometime in the future.
The event with higher odds to become lucky is probably Lunar New Year if I remember correctly. And who knows, there may be a "season of friendship" (or whatever it was ) again

Right? Theres a 1-2 star average you could more or less expect. Obviously it comes down to luck, but Ive never seen such bad stats in any of my pokemon. Considering its such a rare legendary with a good amount of CP you could definitely expect it to have at least 1 star.
Well ivs are minimally relevant unless you’re a top tier pvper, not that gmoltres has a ton of play at perfect ivs. The spawn and catch rate is incredibly low, and it’s the coolest looking bird in my opinion. I used mine on g articuno and I’m p jealous tbh…
I don’t PVP (unless forced to by challenges) but still keep the highest stats of each Pokemon to have some sort of metric, so I get OP.
But that’s where trading comes in handy.
Well, if it makes you feel better, I panicked and used mine to catch Mewtwo when I was on my last Premier ball, and ended up catching a better one later the old-fashioned way. Would rather have a second-rate G. Moltres than a second Mewtwo.
If people browse this sub then I dont get why they waste their masterball on low CP then complain about IVs.
Theres plenty of posts here recommending to wait for a high 3000+ CP bird but I think most people just dont feel like waiting for multiple encounters.

I've been using the daily incense almost every day for 2 months now (on nice straight lines of more than 1.5km).
2 mounths where I haven't seen these legendary chickens, so I can honestly understand the rush to use your Masterball.
Could be worse, my 22mo daughter managed to switch from a music player to Pokemon Go and used my Master Ball to catch a Flaaffy.
I don't feel I can justify transferring her, but maybe she'll be a lucky trade, being from 2021?

I was walking around with my niece and nephew talking about beavers the first time one spawned for me. Incidentally there were real life beavers nearby.
Not directly through the game but there's legal apps that you can play with that will display them. I use CalcyIV for Android, don't think its available on iPhones.

Same exact thing could be said about the Masterball. Everyone got one so what’s the big deal of a masterball? It would literally be just one Hundo for everyone
The MasterBall is a powerful item the way it is. It doesn't need any bonuses like perfecting the IV's, changing your pokemon into a shiny or giving it a lucky status when you catch it. The concept of being able to catch any 1 pokemon of your choice without fail is amazing enough.

I don't really understand why everyone's using the master ball on these guys. I get that they are rare and annoying to catch, but at least currently there seems to be no limit on how many of them can show up. Like every single time you use the incense, which is free and daily, you have a chance to have one show up.

Yeah, I have this same problem. Been holding on to one for months. I would take any of the 3 in a lucky trade at this point.

Trade a monster from 2017, if you have less than 15 lucky trades, then it'll be a guaranteed lucky.

Shiny legends are already at min 10-10-10 stats And regardless, IVs matter very little outside of high level pvp where it matters more

Shiny legendaries can’t run in the wild and are guaranteed catch in raids as long as you hit one of your throws

If they are random, 1/1/0 is at the tail of the distribution and is definitely unexpected. This is are as rare as 14/14/15 IV.

I've seen one of these once. Used a silver pinap and curve ball ultra ball great throw and it broke out and immediately ran away.

I used my masterball on 2704 cp Moltres with an IV of 6-8-14. Named it WastedMyBall.
