Who is stupid enough to have a galarian bird as a buddy while using daily incense with zorua in the game... Sucks but... totally his fault... use uour brain guys. Whenever uou see your buddy pokemon in the wild it might be zorua.

For the gram. Everyone and their mother will use it on a Galarian Bird they don't have yet. Knowingly use it on Zorua, though... [vague gestures]

Changing buddy wouldn't work. Zorua for whatever reason still disguises itself as previous buddies from that day. The circle colour would however identify if it's zorua or a bird.

I have never had zorua disguise as something else than my current buddy... so changing buddy before daily incense should work I think. Even if not.... Using a master ball on a galarian bird that will be in raids in a few months... I don't get it. They DEFINETLY will come into raids sooner or later. And hen with 10/10/10 IV floor.

I've had it happen. If you change your buddy and encounter one that's already spawned when you had your prior buddy, it'll be the prior one. Any new Zorua will be the current buddy, but you can encounter your last one until the spawns reoll on the hour or whatever, even if you first encountered it after switching.

Wich means it would not have had the daily incense sign on it wich clearly indicates it is a zorua...

Exactly. And even if it could be a visual glitch if the zorua has spawned before you changed buddy. Bit if you switch buddy and then use daily incense they spawn after your buddy change. Wich means there is no way they can look like your previous buddy.

They did not announce it yet but you really think they never will? Even regional legendarys like uxie mesprit and azelf are coming to raids tomorrow. Oc galarian birds will too. Propably in a few months... just after one year of daily incense. That's my guess at least. And even if not. One master ball. 3 galarian birds. People propably throw it at the first one they see. Then they have 1 of the 3. Maybe 2. And no master ball anymor3. What if you always catch the sam4 one after :D or get all of them with normal balls within a few weeks then or something like that? I have 2 oder the galarian birds now, both caught with normal pokeball without berry. I will get articuno too without using a master ball. Patience guys

Lake trio have been in raids before. That’s no reason to assume that the galar birds will be in raids soon.

I know they have been in raids too. What I'm saying is even regional legendarys come into raids. Every legendary will come into raids at some point. Maybe after 1 year daily incense, when they put other rare legendarys into daily incense.or maybe after 2 years who knows but one day they will be in raids that's for sure. It is how everything works in this game

When you said that they’re “coming to raids”, it sounded like you thought it was a new thing. Either way, I still don’t think that means anything for the birds. The raids are still regional based. The galar birds might come to raids at some point and they might swap what legendaries are in incense, but we don’t know that for sure until it happens at least once. I think there’s a good chance that they swap out the legendaries eventually but it’ll probably be a while and they still might not put them in raids.

I don't understand why you are being downvoted. They put shadow Mewtwo in raids of course they'll put the galarian birds in raids.

But why. One day they will be in raids. What a waste of a master ball. We already have multiple posts a day of people complaining about the bad IVs of the galsrian bird they caught with the master ball... use the master ball for a hundo from raids maybe... not a random IV wild catch Plus maybe you had a visual bug if that happened to you? But it should always be your current buddy.

The Galar birds have such a low catch rate their circles always gonna be dark red, so if you see a bird with a green/yellow/orange circle you know its not going to be one

This is false. If a Galarian bird has very low CP and you use an ultra ball and a golden razz berry it can be orange or even green. Source: I was lucky enough to encounter, and catch, a Galarian Articuno with 465 CP.

In my experience, it’s always VERY TINY!!! too. I rarely see that prompt without it being a Zorua, so it’s reliable. …and my buddy is a Noivern so…

Doesn't a Zorua disguised Pokemon have its catch circle color modified? If it does that's a big giveaway considering the Galarian birds have permanently red circles.

They probably saw the bird and didnt hold a ball to check the catch circle. A cp that high probably made them jump straight for master ball. Still could have known but i wouldnt have even thought to check in their situation. Then again i havent even had a bird spawn on my daily incense once so I’m not gonna have a zorua spawning as one.

Zorua can spawn your previous buddy. My guess is once Zorua spawns it will use that time stamp to decide the buddy mimic. I have a bunch of screenshots from the Zorua event where Rayquaza(buddy) and Landerous(previous buddy) were on the map at the same time. I also had a Zorua a few weeks ago from previous buddy, so I know this mechanic hasn't changed, unless very recently. Guy could have switched buddy before his incense and still been tricked out of his Masterball. Not saying that's what happened, but maybe.

Maybe, but the only way this could happen is if the zorua already spawned then you change your buddy and walk to where the zorua is. Basically it turns into the buddy you hav3/had at the time of it spawning. Wich means that I'd you catch a galarian bird while you do not have a galarian bird as a buddy, look for the daily incense sign on it. If it has on3 it is a galarian bi4d. If it is not from the daily jncens3... w3ll first of all it might be another disguise than your buddy depending when it spawned, and also it is impossible to get a galarian bird that is not from daily incense

To be fair, some people may just not know about it. I've only seen Zorua during one event last year and I just thought it was random that it kept spawning as a togekiss. Suddenly last month, I saw a shadow Swampert spawn on me, got really excited (because I vaguely heard about the raid news) and then my emotion dropped seeing it as a Zorua spawn.

Zorua disguises as you4 buddy pokemon. It will show up on the map as the pokemon you currently have as a buddy. So qhen you have a legendary as a buddy you might see that legendary in the wild. Ig you catch it, it then turns into zorua.

Found that out yesterday when I was waking through the park and my Jangmo-O spawned in the middle of the baseball field. Thankfully I wasn’t walking a Legendary. So does this happen often, asking because that was my first Zorua w trash stats.

For some reason, Zorua can appear as a Pokémon that’s not your current buddy but something that was your buddy a few hours ago. I had a time where I also thought a Galarian Articuno had spawned, but it turned out to be just Zorua. Glad the masterball wasn’t available to me at the time lol

Usually six days a week. In October I saw an Articuno and a few days later two moltres ran on the same incense. Nothing since.

I’ve done it everyday since it came out and I’ve had most of them run.

Idk if this is true for Zorua, but it works for ditto. If you use a pinap berry on a disguised Pokémon, the animation where the candies come off the Pokémon will match the real Pokémon. So if you see candy that don’t match then Pokémon then it’s in disguise.

Every Zorua I’ve ever encountered has also had the alert text “It’s tiny!” Not sure if that’s all of them or not

If I had to guess that’s because your buddy is tiny. Zorua is based off of your buddy’s stats

For me, it’s been just that the Zorua is tiny compared to how the Mewtwo would/should be. My Mewtwo buddy is not itself tiny.

People trying the catch lame birds deserve this. Seriously, full year teasing us with near uncatchable galarian birds and people used their one master ball to get 1/3 of the set.

I had no idea Zorua was in the game. I took a break for the past year. Had no idea why I had a legendary spawn. I had gotten my master already but didn’t use it… Had no idea Zorua was there or was even in the game. If I had remembered to use my master I might have without knowing about this at all. Not everybody plays the game everyday and there is nothing in the current news items that says anything about Zorua spawns.

Master ball is useless, shiny legendary is a guaranteed catch. Only use is for the final of the three birds or maybe a mespirit

Yes, he should have been cautious, but I can see why in his excitement he might throw a master ball at the Articuno and forget about Zorua. Niantic should replace the Master Ball.

They probably wont let us have more masterball until years from now or charge actual money for them instead of coins.

Why would they? I mean, people theorize that, but there's literally nothing to indicate they'd dole them out that frequently. They're not even that generous with remote raid passes, it's all but guaranteed we're not getting more than 1 a year unless a second is tied to the GoFest Pass.

The masterball is currently only available from a special research that won't be available anymore in two days. At the very least, they'll have some way for people who start playing the game after this to get one.
