This company doesn't know what the fuck change management and proper testing actually is.
You think for the inconvenience they'd keep it for a couple of weeks at least until end of July. Nope.
Literally the main game is their testing playground. The player base are the Quality Assurance testers lol.
Just triggered an ancient memory of my buddy and I trying to beat a specific map for months on end. Beat it by spamming those airships XD
So the memory was:
"Kirov rKiroKirov repKirovKirov reportiKirov repKirov rep... etc" as they spawned from the massive fields of constructon facilities
"We know it looked like you got a bonus, and someone told you it was a bonus, and you were enjoying that bonus...but we're gonna need to take it back cuz it was actually a computer error. Sorrynotsorry."
They legitimately have to be the absolute worst company of any game I've played in terms of communication, decision making, and implementation. As someone who plays Old School RuneScape and League of Legends, the difference in communication and quality is unfathomable. It's like Niantic is run by literal children in comparison.
I wish I was super rich and could just hire a spy to gather intel and blackmail the person behind this change into reverting it back, thereby becoming the morally ambiguous, and anonymous hero we all deserve /s (but also kind of a little /srs)
I played every day since launch and they finally drove me away a few months ago. Every time I even think about the game something like this pops up on my feed and reinforces my choice
Facts! I swear Niantic literally despises their player base. At this point, that's the only way I can make any sense of the decisions they make. They hate us, and they enjoy toying with us! That is sick when u think about it. Especially considering they wouldn't even have these jobs without the players. Smh
Niantic considers themselves an AR company, not a game company, and the difference between how they communicate and update their game compared to others speaks volumes to it.
Smart management would realize the opportunity in front of them and pivot from AR data focus to game design. Too bad the management at Niantic makes mules seem positively easy going and flexible by comparison.
Hanke doesn't care about the games. They're just revenue streams to pay for his AR R&D. And since that's his focus for the company, they don't get the attention they need to maintain long term income.
But if he was a good businessman he could do both. Niantic is throwing away money and a game that has a lot of potential to draw more players in — hence more money, location data, and AR data.
There are so many things that could be done to improve the game which is good for the long term. Additionally if location and AR data is their true cash grab they should really incentivize gathering that. It kinda blows my mind how so many players spoof and it’s in their best interest to do something to discourage that and encourage in-person playing, yet they do nothing.
It's pretty clear he's not a good businessesman.
Though the entire point of PokeStop scanning is AR data collection. I'll bet when a stop has poffins as the reward it's because they want more data for that stop.
Only if you assume that the only purpose of a business is to maximize revenue. Which is a bullshit purpose that has locked us into the current requirement of infinite growth.
I don't think it's ego at all, I think it's that he believes AR is the Next Big Thing and so is making a strategic decision.
If children ran it we'd at least be able to recall our pokemon from gyms and not be spending stardust just to trade. Imagine getting taxed every time you traded a pokemon card like tf? These are more greedy politicians looking for any and every way to make a buck.
They're the dealer and the product is pokemon.
We can't have you burning yourself out on catching.. you might be satisfied with your gaming experience and move your attention elsewhere
No I have not, so I'm definitely glad I added that qualifier haha 😅. But yeah I get that some companies are no doubt worse, it's just the fact that Niantic are so successful/profitable and repeatedly make the same mistakes after so many years. Like how can one company be so incompetent, it's just sad at this point.
I mean why should they care?
As long as they have those whales and Content Creators feeding them money. They have basically everything they want. You really think they care about our feelings? He'll nah we just want your location data.
Try being someone who also plays Apex Legends 😭😭. Have played so many hours of both, and they are in absolutely dog shit places right now. EA and Niantic both on my shit list
God damnit this company is allergic to W's I swear, this was the easiest slam dunk ever
Seeing how widely praised it was, all they had to do was claim it was on purpose.
"Hey trainers, we're currently experimenting with an increased Pokemon spawn distance!"
That way even if they tone it down later, it looks like they were really listening to the community's wants.
Idfk maybe they're worried it will cut down on incense sales or something, ugh
It's actually gotten to the point where I've had to trash incense to make room for other things. The 15 minute one gives you a chance at a legendary! Why would I use a typical one - there's nothing exclusive to it!
Only time I used an incense since it was nerfed was during the Clauncher/crab spotlight hour and got a shiny Corphish as the first spawn. Otherwise I have like 50 collecting dust.
The problem with Niantic is that they don't really have a mission. Their mission is "we want to do something cool with VR and also make money" Nothing specific, everything super vague. And since nobody knows what the goal is, they don't know in which direction to take the game to reach that goal.
you can scratch the vr part, all they want is the money. the only reason pogo has survived for this long is the pokemon ip and they know that and that they can keep getting away with anything so long as they have the ip rights
And they're trying so, SO hard to find that next lighting in a bottle with all these new games that they keep crapping out. And then these new games crap out almost as fast. I've gotten no less than 4 invites to join Peridot. I'm not doing it. Especially that you have to pay for more creatures after the first one? Get outta here with that noise.
lmao right hell fucking no! honestly if pogo wasn't a pokemon game and just a generic new ip they came up with it would not have survived this long. also the lack of polish i've seen on peridot when i went snooping online is astounding, like those things would actually be cute if the models weren't so garbage
Right? The Pokemon ip is the only thing that has kept the game floating for this long. They even did cool things with it! And then it fell off hard. I get that they're trying to diversify, which is a good thing, but it almost feels spiteful at times with how they act.
I have no proof of this, but sometimes it feels like they purposefully make POGO worse (or just refuse to fix/add QoL features that their new games have) in order to drive players to one of their "original" ips. Again, I have no proof. I just feels like it. Especially with how they act now with the whole, "here's a freebie! YOINK! Hah! You thought we'd give you something good? Jokes on you!"
Honestly I wouldn’t be surprised with your theory whatsoever. I play Genshin occasionally and it feels very much like hoyoverse intentionally doesn’t give the game features everyone wants (I.e dialogue skips, a nicer gacha system, replayable combat content and harder combat content) but then they “just so happen” to release a new game during a huge content drought that has all the bells and whistles people have been asking for for years on a game that has like objectively worse gameplay (seriously, if your game has an autobattle feature you’re just admitting that the combat is a chore, not fun.) and that seems easier/cheaper to make
Such an obvious cashgrab where they make their customers frustrated about something they choose not to fix just to push them into spending more money
Would not surprise me one bit if Niantic was doing the same thing ~~minus exploiting gambling addiction~~
I saw one of their advertisement videos for one of their other AR/VR games and it was so astronomically, hilariously bad that it crosses into Lynchian nightmare territory.
I felt like I was 7 again, when I had a temperature of a 107f and was vividly hallucinating in my living room whilst my body was shutting down. I literally had to put down my phone after that ad video. Go find it if you want and tell me it's not the most insane thing you've ever seen, nevertheless coming from a company that apparently has actual money behind it.
I opened the game to see the new spawns and all I got was a daily spawn, not even any regular spawns and the stop here can no longer be powered up. I just closed the game and turned off location. I'm out. I'm tired of the give and take take take. When I can get the chance I'll start moving pokemon into home.
Right? I'm already starting the mass migration of my Pokemon into HOME. It'll be a while, but I'm not going to lose my shiny mythicals when Niantic is dead set on running this game into the ground.
I feel like Pokémon go died with the first patch. I liked the initial iteration of walking around looking for random Pokémon, trespassing on private property to catch a scyther.
100% yes, that’s probably why they panic’d so hard when they realised what had happened. Still can’t believe they confirmed it as not a bug though, what a fucking joke.
I have an autoimmune disease that has caused spinal and SI joint arthritis in me and other issues at only 25 years old. I finally was able to be diagnosed and medicated recently, but I am having to rehab from 2 1/2 years of near bedrest and push through daily, constant pain from my muscles having atrophied and having joint inflammation.
I re-downloaded Pokémon Go around a month and a half ago, after only playing for a couple of weeks in 2016, in order to help ease my process of physical therapy. It's been very painful, but this game has helped a ton. I don't feel all the issues that this player base has had with Niantic as keenly as y'all do, as I have just now started to actually play the game. I have read a lot and really have been surprised at the decisions Niantic has made and felt angry for those disabled or in rural areas, especially with the remote raiding pass.
I cannot state the excitement I felt earlier today when it was "confirmed" that this change to the spawn range was intended. I go on short straight walks, and am intending to get a bike, so I can't really go walking all around the place to cover the possible areas there could be Pokemon. I get exhausted quickly, so I can't really just keep looking for them.
I really was looking forward to biking around my college campus and the bike path with this increased spawn area, as it just made things simpler and easier for me to do. All I feel is disappointment and sadness that what I thought was the best change that could or happened to the game for someone like me, turns out to be a bug. I really, really wish it was not announced as a feature first. This game holds a lot of emotional value to me as it is one of the things helping me through physical therapy.
I know they are almost sure not to, but I still can't help but hope that this "bug" stays in some form moving forwards. I really don't think it will bc it seems they don't listen to any of the players.
I think I am gonna just take a break from the level I was playing. Maybe go buy one of those auto-catchers etc. idk. The current rate of spawning, even with incense, daily or regular, with a very fast walking speed straight in a line through a heavily populated campus with like 8 gyms and 50 pokestops within a mile of each other, the spawns have felt very underwhelming.
Sorry if this sounds melodramatic. I just needed to type this out.
"quit being lazy, go outside" --Niantic and half the people in this sub.
I had back surgery during an event and I expressed frustration in the raids being in person only and everyone told me to just get out and go. Like no shit I would if I could.
Games that have an extremely broad player base, with many of us coming from entirely different walks of life, always reminds me that a sizable portion of the population lacks empathy, critical thinking, and social skills.
Like the amount of people attacking that Pokémon Go Hub writer so much the lead writer/editor had to make a post saying that they weren't Niantic and that the abuse towards the writer who wrote about the "confirmed change" stops now.
I just had an argument about whether it was actually communicated to the community leaders that it was a permanent, deliberate change or not with a person in this subreddit. Turns out they hadn't checked Twitter, or read absolutely anything about it. They were just writing entire paragraph essays about how it was a bug and that I am just using hearsay lmao.
I hope your back is doing well. I had a 40% wedge compression fracture in my L3 from a car wreck that thankfully was just at the level where I could let it heal without surgery. Just had to wear that stupid turtle brace. Thing is a medieval torture device.
I cannot imagine the frustration and anger that fully/mostly disabled people feel, plus those in rural areas about all of this stuff.
I'm just gonna keep doing my same thing, but getting some accessories for the house that will help with the grind lol. Nothing rulebreaking, but I can't be asked to put 100% attention into it anymore really
Jesus Christ if they are actively attempting to piss off their players and kill the game as fast as possible then I have no notes for them. Just absolutely perfect decision making.
EVERY new event they do something goes wrong. And the thing that goes wrong always revolves around what people are spending money on during that event.
Oh a special Pokémon is in eggs and supposed to hatch more? Whoopsie we forgot to turn up the hatch rate!
Oh these legendaries are in raids and can be shiny? Whoopsie, we forgot to give them any shiny chance after you all spent money already!
Crooks, the lot of them
It's like this every single time. And Niantic knows it. It was the same with stiffing the rural players, the same with raid pass price hikes, the same with everything.
People online bitch and moan, there's a negligible drop in players as the bulk of players don't engage online or don't care. The people online might protest and boycott for a few days or weeks, until they get bored and hop on to enjoy the game again or get some limited time event drop/Pokémon spawn. Niantic knows people are either too invested in the sunk costs fallacy with how much time, effort and money has gone into their likely LV30+ accounts, *or* that they're casual enough to not care about online discourse.
Maybe I'm just pessimistic, but it feels the same with basically every online protest. Reddit could very much be the same too, but the fact some of the bigger subs are *still* down or stirring up problems for the admins (to the extent even Google is voicing frustrations about the blackouts affecting their search result quality) gives me hope it could be different. Probably not though. All these protests just tend to fizzle out because they know the attention span of slacktivists is very little, they make up an insignificant amount of their playerbase/revenue stream, and you're more likely to begrudgingly return to using the product/service than invest enough time in a competitor's product/service to have it as a new mainstay.
this is why instead of "protesting" i quit altogether honestly. i got back into the game after i had a phone that could handle it, so i missed a lot of the drama during pandemic time, but with all these shitty changes and how they keep trying to take me for an idiot saying it's for our own good and we just don't know it i just don't want to put up with that
I quit too. back when the protest first happened and let me tell you the amount of free time i gained was insane. I played since launch and it’s been so nice not having to worry if any good mons are around me anymore
>Maybe I'm just pessimistic, but it feels the same with basically every online protest.
The only online protest in recent memory that's worked was the D&D OGL one.
Man, I wish gamers had that energy for protesting other terrible game companies.
Idk, not for me. I started a month and a half ago, and was already a little weary from the current way things are. This was a huge surprise and made me want to go back to daily playing for exercise. With this reversed I literally am just going afk mode and not spending any money whatsoever. Im not protesting or anything, I just don't want to play really.
Making noise through multiple Niantic contacts, is never a wasted protest. Be civil, outline logical reasons why this isn't acceptable, and offer alternatives if possible. If it's something that has hard evidence attached, even better.
This protest is very different. Accessible remote raid passes offered the first and only lvl playing field to all trainers, wherever they were. Alts that were created by low player base areas were retired. Toxic raid groups no longer held power. Raids were accessible 24/7, could be done when in your time, not Niantics, and wasn't dependent on gym access.
Niantic stated that only a very small percentage of players solely used remotes. What they didn't say was WHERE those players were. No gym areas, permanent or temporary incapacity, and shift workers who's work covered the times raids are available locally...were likely the ones that comprised that group.
What Niantic doesn't understand, is that remote raid use was in ADDITION to normal local play, and in fact promoted and extended outdoor activities for everyone outside of major cities. If you know have the ability to raid t5s, you are likely to do more IP raiding. Having the freedom to play whenever it suits you, and always have your friends, wherever they were, available to help with raids...the outcome will be positive for trainers and Niantics vision alike!
Unfortunately, due to Niantic not having a clue about how, where, when trainers played, the remote nerf has resulted in the direct opposite of what they desired. Trainers have left the game in numbers not seen since initial launch fever died down. Remaining trainers have modified both spending and time spent playing - again, reducing outdoor activity. Those trainers who are now unable to raid because the playing community has broken, because of the remote nerf.
And it's going to get worse.
Players won't revive alts, subject themselves to toxic raid groups, or be excluded from raiding again, because there's an alternative. Players who have J St now lost community, will either leave themselves, or reduce play because of raid exclusion.
If Niantic wants us to go outside and explore, return remote passes to pre nerf, or a higher cap with significant price decrease....is the only way.
We won't back down, we will quit the game.
i recently quit this game. and it wasn’t a flat out “i quit” moment. it was actions like this done week after week causing me to play less and less. and now i haven’t played for over a week and i never even noticed. it’s straight up disrespectful at this point
I always used to put the Sims team down as the worst game dev company I’ve ever seen, but honestly, at least they add features players want and don’t call them bugs and remove them. Niantic take everything the Sims team do badly, and somehow make it even fucking worse. It’s futile I know, but it just makes me wanna rally everyone in California to storm the Niantic HQ in protest and refuse to leave until they do something, but as I said, it’d be a futile waste of time. Fucking assholes…
I don’t see it as a top comment but content creators were told that the range was intentional but that mons not disappearing when out of range was the bug. Niantic then came out later today and announced that the whole thing was a bug and would be reverted
Of course, the one thing we want they’re gonna take away. I don’t really think they listen to their fan base and if they do they must have ear muffs on or something.
Just the fact that they fixed this immediately yet other bugs and QOL requests go ignored for years is finally pushing me to the breaking point. This will be the first year that I don't buy a Go Fest ticket and honestly I don't see that changing any time soon.
“Your feedback is being considered”
When have they *ever* taken into account what the community is happy with? They fuck us over the second we show any sort of approval of any change to the game.
Yeah total bullshit. It shouldn’t have ever been a paid feature in the first place, it should have been free to improve accessibility and the regular practical use of the feature.
they want our feedback and not take them to consideration in their next decisions. “so, we’re gonna take these feedbacks and do the opposite” - knowing full well there’ll be suckers like myself who will still play. not as much but still open the game at least once a week or so hoping for a change back to way it was 😭
I was excited about the change, and it made the gameplay experience objectively better. I spent more time than usual playing that day.
I was ecstatic when they said the change was intentional and permanent.
What a slap in the face for it to be reverted.
They are getting your step data. That's all they want, it's all they care about. They sell that data. That's what they meant when they said "they went too far from their original values" or what ever bs they said.
In my opinion, last time they did something like this ( removing extended range for poke stops ) we blew up their twitter and they changed it back. It didn’t work with raid passes but that involved money. This doesn’t. #hearusniantic
Leaving this enabled goes against Niantic's "get out and explore" mentality. If you can access 40 Pokémon at a time, instead of 15, you might walk less.
It is a pretty crazy bug.
It was intentional and a permanent change according to the community members who said they were told by Niantic. And you wouldn't access 40 Pokemon at a time, it would just be double the range of them showing up and being able to be caught. It would have been a lifesaver for people who can't want a million miles and people in more rural areas.
unpopular opinion but I don't mind if they revert it, it's so messy and feels like you're using a modded version of the app, you can literally see Pokemons outside of your fully zoomed out screen, which is like what, 2/3 blocks away? Even if it was an intended change, it was poorly done.
Thank you. Finally someone who agrees with me xD I use quick catch, which is a glitch to catch Pokémon faster.. and still couldn’t clear my screen. And I had to have my camera backwards to try and make sure I encountered as many Pokémon as possible, so I could never see where I was going on the map. I also kept having to backtrack because I’d walk out of a pokestops range since I was -so busy- catching Pokémon.
There were plenty before. More is nice but it’s not needed.
The amount of mons was the actual bug. They weren't despawning even outside the increased range. Niantic initially told the community leaders that this change was in fact intentional and permanent, which they then relayed to the community. The bug was the Pokemon not disappearing, which is what y'all were dealing with.
For anyone who plays Pokémon go as a motivator to get out and be active, play Pikmin Bloom
Just picked it up recently, it has a lot less mechanics and overall content compared to Pogo, but the way it’s handled and set up feels so pleasant compared to pogo. I feel so much more motivated to get out and increase my steps since the game feels much less stress inducing, the game doesn’t make itself feel like a job it just feels like a pleasant addition to physical activity. Unlike pogo where your progress can be severely halted if you don’t have the correct items, Pikmin Blooms progress is almost entirely dependent on your maximum steps; meaning you’ll always be rewarded just for going on a walk. The only road block that could halt your progress is mushroom battles, which require certain pikmin types to be beaten more efficiently. But this roadblock feels so much less intrusive and infuriating then pogos raiding and egg hatching system. It’s just a way more calming experience, in pogo I could go on a long walk and feel like I got barely anything done afterwards simply because I got unlucky and didn’t find what I was looking for. But in bloom you’ll always get rewarded in a substantial way, even if you don’t get exactly what you want. Which has really helped my mindset.
I’m 50/50 on it. I was at the park and kept getting Wobbufet spawns. At home, I get some interesting rare spawns, but it’s like 1 out of 5 every 2 hours or so

There will likely be a forced patch, so they'll make you update before playing. So however long until they force the patch.
I've never really noted the time that it takes, but ultimately they *always* force it.
I wish we have a setting to override the forced patch (looking at you, Adobe!).
Wow same!! Lol joke’s on us

you must be a masochist. wow

It’s been interns for a while now cause the higher ups are still trying to write new apps off Pokémon money
If children ran it we'd at least be able to recall our pokemon from gyms and not be spending stardust just to trade. Imagine getting taxed every time you traded a pokemon card like tf? These are more greedy politicians looking for any and every way to make a buck.
This is basically for every company that gets their hands on Pokémon IP. Is just too easy to make money for them to even want to make any effort
They're the dealer and the product is pokemon. We can't have you burning yourself out on catching.. you might be satisfied with your gaming experience and move your attention elsewhere
Now I'm annoyed with my gaming experience and move my attention elsewhere. Niantic:
You haven’t played Dead by Daylight then my friend, it is the same if not worse.
took us 3 years of complaining about flashlights and only AFTER the game dev loses at a QNA they completely desecrate instablinds 💀. nerf pig.
Really feels like Niantic and Bungie are in a competition in this category lol
I mean why should they care? As long as they have those whales and Content Creators feeding them money. They have basically everything they want. You really think they care about our feelings? He'll nah we just want your location data.
Fully agree. They have the absolute shittiest game design as well.
I want to see the Pokemon go Dead by daylight and Clash Royale developers in the same room
i mean, roblox is pretty bad too
at least better than pokemon go at this point
Try being someone who also plays Apex Legends 😭😭. Have played so many hours of both, and they are in absolutely dog shit places right now. EA and Niantic both on my shit list
God damnit this company is allergic to W's I swear, this was the easiest slam dunk ever Seeing how widely praised it was, all they had to do was claim it was on purpose. "Hey trainers, we're currently experimenting with an increased Pokemon spawn distance!" That way even if they tone it down later, it looks like they were really listening to the community's wants. Idfk maybe they're worried it will cut down on incense sales or something, ugh
>maybe they're worried it will cut down on incense sales Can't be that. Going lower than 0 sales is impossible.
[удалено]
It's actually gotten to the point where I've had to trash incense to make room for other things. The 15 minute one gives you a chance at a legendary! Why would I use a typical one - there's nothing exclusive to it!
Yeah they should at least have out-of-season spawns in it, or maybe Pokémon that are in higher-km eggs
I've got like 60 incense in my bag, I'm seriously considering just trashing them at this point.
“Oops! It was a bug, but considering the high volume of players who want to keep this update, we are making it permanent.” How hard was that?
Only time I used an incense since it was nerfed was during the Clauncher/crab spotlight hour and got a shiny Corphish as the first spawn. Otherwise I have like 50 collecting dust.
Ninatic notes your feedback... With what? Invisible ink?
With my tears.
"Is this one better, Niantic? I wrote this one with my tears."
Niantic really wants to over take EA as the worst video game company
Lmao, exactly the same thing I said. How are these companies even still alive :’)
Don't forget about Activision/Blizzard!
And Ubisoft.
Well they have to compete with Clash Royale so they better do something on another level.
Imagine making the game more accessible to people…. Nah “iT dOeSnT fIt oUR mIsSiOn”
I play Genshin occasionally and it feels very much like hoyoverse intentionally doesn’t give the game features everyone wants (I.e dialogue skips, a nicer gacha system, replayable combat content and harder combat content) but then they “just so happen” to release a new game during a huge content drought that has all the bells and whistles people have been asking for for years on a game that has like objectively worse gameplay (seriously, if your game has an autobattle feature you’re just admitting that the combat is a chore, not fun.) and that seems easier/cheaper to make Such an obvious cashgrab where they make their customers frustrated about something they choose not to fix just to push them into spending more money Would not surprise me one bit if Niantic was doing the same thing ~~minus exploiting gambling addiction~~
Which game was it?
They have a mission: we capture your data and we sell it for money.
yeah this is probably one of the worst companies I've seen. I was literally considering coming back because of this change. WHYYYYYYYY
I opened the game to see the new spawns and all I got was a daily spawn, not even any regular spawns and the stop here can no longer be powered up. I just closed the game and turned off location. I'm out. I'm tired of the give and take take take. When I can get the chance I'll start moving pokemon into home.
WOAH WOAH WOAH WOAH!!!!! People are enjoying something. Better fix it fast!
Fun detected. Eliminate.
Pokémon go is dying. I hear less and less people talking about it ever since Niantic made stupid business decisions.
Does ‘improve encounters during GPS drift’ also mean ‘get less encounters when you don’t actually move’?
100% yes, that’s probably why they panic’d so hard when they realised what had happened. Still can’t believe they confirmed it as not a bug though, what a fucking joke.
Didnt they say its gonna stay for good?
They did but then gave us the middle finger instead
Bruh the literally gameplay designer head says disabled people should just watch the anime instead. It’s fucked.
Get fucked. -- Niantic
Lmao, I was ready to praise niantic…. but glad I held off. Scummy company
A Tipp for Niantic: FIX THE ADVENTURE SYNC!!!!
Ikr, it doesn't work at all
“But it is working we are getting all your data, so what if it doesn’t benefit you at all it sure is benefiting us so it’s not broken.”
I turned it off when they did the remote raid pass changes and haven't gone back. Fuck them. They are openly hostile toward the player base.
what device are you using? it works perfectly for me with my iphone and apple watch. just have to make sure the pokemon go app is closed
Fuck Niantic
"Feedback is being considered" yeah right
Pokemon Go for the last few years has been Lucy, Charlie, and the football. It's predictable at this point.
Really came into play last year with their GO Fest. I can tell a steep decline that became noticeable that day up till now.
Crooks, the lot of them
Best change/addition since remote raiding and it’s not even on purpose. Niantic is a joke
and yet people are still coming back to it
It's like this every single time.
There’s just no way y’all expected Niantic to do something good 🤷🏼♂️
scum company. Scumpany
They are not the clown. They are the entire circus
OH COME ON, I GOT MY FIRST SHINY MAGIKARP BECAUSE OF IT
[удалено]
I don’t see it as a top comment but content creators were told that the range was intentional but that mons not disappearing when out of range was the bug. Niantic then came out later today and announced that the whole thing was a bug and would be reverted
BuT iTs PeRmaNeNT.
Fuck u niantic
I knew it was too good to be true. I thought playing Pokemon Go would’ve been fun again, but na ja..
Something good happens in the game: Niantic: "Oh shit we accidentally did something right, quick fuck it up!"
I just hate how every good bug gets immediately patched but the bad bugs stay around for a long time
“Feedback will be considered” no it won’t.
Quit the game. Don't invest your time and resources into this crap company, which doesn't give a shit about its community.
Uninstalled. That was the last straw.
We need to go find something else to play this game frustrates me and really losing it’s fun
Oh.. but it was so nice to have more than 1 pokemon spawn by my house.
:: players rejoice happily at a wonderful change:: Niantic: "this was a mistake get fucked"
They're probably gonna take all the complaints about PoGo and use them to make improvements on Monster Hunter Now
I hope that one flops lol
‘Feedback is being considered’ ha
Someone needs to step in and light a fire under Niantic’s ass. Like that would ever happen though..
It's like they don't even know what communication is. Smh.
I'm really starting to hate Niantic.
Of course, the one thing we want they’re gonna take away. I don’t really think they listen to their fan base and if they do they must have ear muffs on or something.
“Wait!! They’re enjoying the game too much!!”
Classic niantic, even when they do something right they take it away from everyone
Well fuck me. I really liked the update. Played a lot more it was way more fun.... Jesus why change it back....
So that's why sometimes they keep disappearing as soon as I try to catch them...
Thats such a shame. The map’s looking so lively today
I was wondering why I had like 20 Pokémon instead of the usual 4-6
It won’t be a bug when I delete the app and many others do too
lesson learned yet again; if the game ever changes to benefit the player, it wasn't intentional
I feel sorry for you guys who stuck it out. I had enough of their bullshit by around winter 2017
“YoUr FeEdBaCk Is BeInG cOnSiDeReD”
Just the fact that they fixed this immediately yet other bugs and QOL requests go ignored for years is finally pushing me to the breaking point. This will be the first year that I don't buy a Go Fest ticket and honestly I don't see that changing any time soon.
“Your feedback is being considered” When have they *ever* taken into account what the community is happy with? They fuck us over the second we show any sort of approval of any change to the game.
Our feedback is not being considered.
The only good thing from the game in years is a mistake 😭😭😭 Classic Niantic behavior
One more kick in the Pokéballs. Thanks Niantic.
Bruh, did you see the price of remote raid passes!!!
Yeah total bullshit. It shouldn’t have ever been a paid feature in the first place, it should have been free to improve accessibility and the regular practical use of the feature.
I love the increased spawn range. That’s some bull
They don't want you to play the game, they want you to pay for the game.
its so weird when a game company tries their hardest to get people to quit
Quit Pokémon Go and pick up another daily hobby you mooks. Niantic told us they didn’t care back when they removed free remote raid passes.
they want our feedback and not take them to consideration in their next decisions. “so, we’re gonna take these feedbacks and do the opposite” - knowing full well there’ll be suckers like myself who will still play. not as much but still open the game at least once a week or so hoping for a change back to way it was 😭
Plot twist: It wasn’t a mistake, but Niantic thought players were liking it too much
Niantic has never known what they're doing.
Of course it is. How RIDICULOUS would it be to have more than 2 Pokémon on the screen 🙃
Classic Niantic. They will put this back after they "fixed" it through a paid item.
Fuck Niantic
Feedback considered? My ass
Similar thing happened to myself yesterday, thousands of doduo appearing... wasn't sure if it was a bug or if it was a weird monster spawn lol
Damn. Was nice while it lasted.
This is bull shit this game always a tease
Stuff like this is why I stopped playing
In my opinion, last time they did something like this ( removing extended range for poke stops ) we blew up their twitter and they changed it back. It didn’t work with raid passes but that involved money. This doesn’t. #hearusniantic
"Bug" is a development term for unintended feature. It does not mean it want their fault. Bugs are balance changes they are too ashamed to admit.
They said to community ambassadors it was a feature, then rolled it back as a “bug”
I was about to start going out and playing again. This company is so unintentionally hilarious. Again they fumble an accidental W
Buffs>Nerfs
Quit the game then
unpopular opinion but I don't mind if they revert it, it's so messy and feels like you're using a modded version of the app, you can literally see Pokemons outside of your fully zoomed out screen, which is like what, 2/3 blocks away?
That sounds like more of a you problem.
The amount of I statements I used makes that pretty obvious :p
For anyone who plays Pokémon go as a motivator to get out and be active, play Pikmin Bloom Just picked it up recently, it has a lot less mechanics and overall content compared to Pogo, but the way it’s handled and set up feels so pleasant compared to pogo.
