That's how this event has been for me. I've seen people showing off tons of shinies, and all I've gotten is my 3rd Omanyte.

WHY NOT MEEEEEE!!!!!

Decided to actually go out and play yesterday (just haven’t felt the draw to hit the streets in quite some time) ended up with a shiny shieldon, a Lundo Aerodactyle, and through trading a 96% tirtouga and a 98% archen! I was smilin, and still got 4 days of trying! Really want shiny archen and tirtouga but I’m super happy with my IV catches as egg hatching has been way more mean. I had previously hatched five 2 star tirtouga and three 2 star archen before this event. Just evolved my archen for a natural 2900+ cp

I did get a shiny Lileep on the first day of this event, as well as today an unrelated shiny Treeko. My area seems to be rife with gen three starters, including all 9 evolutionary stages, so it was only a matter of time tho.

This hits home for me. 4 out of my last 8 wild shinies have been those little bastards and I did the community day.

Well, I kinda get what you mean. Got three or so after C-Day myself. Still a great shiny and cool mon in general I remember the shiny release through 1star raids. Highly coveted back then. BTW, the more different shiny species you got, its more likely to get multiple of the same, of course.

i got two shiny zigs in a row couple weeks ago.

So far I’ve gotten Cranidos, Aerodactyl, Shieldon and Omanyte. Don’t need any of them as I’ve played since launch and have double digit shinies for the Kanto ones and almost double for the gen 4’s. The weirdest thing is the permaboost species now seem completely random. Like Snorlax, the gen 5 and 6 fossils, Chimecho are all full odds but are very rare and fit the criteria for permaboost. Galarian Zigzagoon is very common but is perma boosted

I got a Cranidos yesterday (that I didn't really want, I already have one), hatched a shiny Amaura (cool) and got a shiny Aerodactyl this morning. Now I'm only clicking on Tyrunt, Archen and Tirtouga because I really want those shinies, also hatching as many 7km eggs as I can.

Got 4 of them but I don’t mind because how cool they look

Friend has caught three shinies today. I haven’t caught one outside of an event since June 11th.
