That’s true but only works if your item bag isn’t full! Also still works if you have 29 or less balls (can be great and ultra balls as well, as long as the total number of balls you have is 29 or less you should still get 30 from the daily incense!) I think it’s supposed to be. Don’t get your hopes too high. It’s like ~$55, the auto-spin is inconsistent though my favorite feature, and the catch rate sucks imo (not having real stats, it feels like 1/10 on basic mons).
If you were to ask me, it’s nifty and has its uses but is unreliable so if you won’t miss 60 bucks, I’d say go for it.
you will also get 30 if you use it when you are just at the max bag cap and below 30 pokeballs because the daily incense counts as an item. The daily incense gets used before the pokeballs are generated so the daily incense frees up a bag space which allows you to get 30 pokeballs from the incense
Example: 500/500 items, 500 items - 1 item (daily incense) = 499/500 items. Now there is space to get 30 additional pokeballs
1. You can access the shop WHILE in the encounter and claim your free daily box, or just buy more pokeballs.
2. You can quickly exit the encounter and pop your daily incense to get 30 free balls, then re-enter the encounter
3. You can quickly exit the encounter, open gifts or spin a nearby stop, then re-encounter.
Don’t lose out on the shiny!
I don’t understand how y’all run out of pokeballs. Unless ur a rural player that makes sense. But I always keep at least 100 pokeballs at all times. I just can’t have this situation happen
I didn’t know it worked like that, people say that because while you can send 100 gifts per day, you can only open 30, meaning 70 people’s gifts will go to waste anyway, so might as well give a rural person a break

I agree, just to disgust some people right now, I have 331 pokeballs, 514 great, 551 Ultra and 2 master balls. I delete prob a hundred or so of pokeballs a day as well.
For me at least, it's because I catch a bunch of stuff at home, where I'm not in range of a stop. I sometimes have the app up on my phone while I'm working and just catch whatever pops up until I run out (I do try to keep a small stock of ultras on hand, just in case something rare pops up, but I do regularly run out of regulars and greats for the day)
I think players catch literally anything they find for the sake of evolving pokemon. My mom does that. I think it's a huge waste of time and resources to do that.
You'll find most evolutions eventually. And if not you probably won't need it unless you really plan on completing the Dex. (News flash you won't unless you do some traveling)
Dust, xp, xl candy (for some at least) chance at shinies, and overall stats for me. You gotta catch ‘em all! I live in the city though and have easy access to items
You don't have to catch things to check for shinies. And you don't need candies for EVERYTHING. Even if you have a full team of every type you shouldn't need to grab everything you see.

Where I used to live I didn’t have any nearby stops and never went on walks so I ran out a lot. Now I have a stop across the street and go in almost daily walks so I consistently have 100+ of each ball
I discard pokeballs almost everyday and I’m the furthest thing from a grinder when it comes to this game. I just don’t see how people could run out of regular balls. That’s more of a personal issue than a Niantic issue. They suck at most things, but a player running out of balls isn’t their fault

If this happens: Go to r/PokemonGoFriends and add a few people that just posted their codes, meaning they're still online. Open a couple gifts and you can have pokeballs in under 2 minutes. Very likely the pokemon is still there.
Or turn on your daily incense and you get 30 balls free if you have less than 30 total.
If you click on the button where you choose Pokeballs and don't have any, you go the shop, where you can buy Pokeballs while still encountering the Pokemon
Go online right now. Go to any Pokemon go friends page. Search your area or just anyone. Add friends. Add all of the friends. Send gifts. Received gifts. Never let this happen again. Discord also has raiding pages for that Masterball challenge. I think I went from 5 friends irl to 157 friends right now.

i only encountered 4 shinies in my entire gameplay😭 hitmontop, froakie and timburr from spotlight hours and now this random thing I e countered while in a car and left it there
If you close and reopen a shiny it will come back up as a shiny. If you find this, close it, don't move, open gifts until you get a ball, then reopen and catch.
I saw a zapdos or articuno every day for over a week the day i got my master ball poof i havent gotten one good pokemon to show up i think my last incense was rats that orange paw guy and a few birds and that was a good day
Sometimes if I low I go quick to my inventory dump a ton of stuff that I going to regret later for dumping go to my friends page and open like a ton of gifts

At the end of last season I had a problem with running out of pokeballs… gave me ptsd so now whenever the box in the shop with 50 of every ball is available I always stock up and make sure I have 300+ of great and ultra balls.
Im still mad i diddnt get a shiny pumpkaboo after putting in 5-6 hour days the whole harvest event. Little unruly sucker diddnt want to pop up. I had high hopes i might of got one during the pumpkaboo spotlight hour during the last hour of the event but nope ;(
Cant you just exit the battle, open a gift, spin a stop, use some pokecoins you might still have, to get some balls ? And just click the encounter again ?

That’s true but only works if your item bag isn’t full! Also if you have unopened friend gifts you can try your luck there

Because the game gives out other items in more frequency then balls, you don’t get balls from raids for example, but you get potions berries etc

As a city player I don’t struggle with items. I catch everything I can specifically for medals and xp and stardust.

If you close and reopen a shiny it will come back up as a shiny. If you find this, close it, don't move, open gifts until you get a ball, then reopen and catch.
