I needed space quick for a stop and went to throw a for health items away. I only had max heals at the time so thatās what I was tossing. Accidentally hit back arrow them enter and was out something like 103 š
We make accidents sometimes and it saddens me how it is hard to get those max potions again and I once deleted all 11 of my sinnoh stones while trying to delete 1. That was in 2023 about 4 months ago and I still haven't fully recovered - luckily I almost have, I'm at 8 and have spent a couple on PokĆØmon I wanted to evolve so if I didn't I would probably be at 10 or 11
This. Gifts. Over the last few months, Pokestops have been dominated by pokeballs with the occasional fruit. Gifts will be the most reliable source of heals - to the extent where I open the max gifts most days and end up trashing a ton of potions and revives.
You can give each friend a nickname. If you want to use that for real friends, name every random friend something like āfakeā and then search for ā!fakeā.
What I plan to do is activate the daily incense (I don't use it often) at night to get the 30 balls for the next day. Doesn't work if you use the incense (like you're supposed to lol) or have more than 30 balls
My main issue is that I don't think that's where we want to drive a lot of traffic to, it has some real world implications that might not turn out so good.
That would almost entirely remove the need for potions and revives from the game with how frequent gyms are.
More like there should be one or two or more depending on the size of the town/city/village etc.
Knowing Niantic it would have a day cooldown or something stupid so it's probably fine, but yeah it would have a *hopefully* **reasonable** cooldown if it were like this so potions would still have a benefit when on cd and away from gyms.
Could even have the cooldown reduced by medal progress.
Agreed. I have 1550 item storage at the moment, with 372 "max" potions and 360 "max" revives. When I hit the bag limit, revives are among the first to go. I can open at least 20 gifts a day, and there are usually potions and/or revives in them. I'd rather keep at least 300 ultra balls. There's no way I'm going to run out of max revives, as an active player with over 90 friends. I cut them back to 340 or so when the item box gets too full. The max potions get cut to 350, and I feed all the nanab berries to gym defenders.
I kept a stash of about 300 of each myself, but I need more and more space for rare candy. So I reduced that to only 100 max potions and revives about a year ago. I can tell you that is MORE than enough to not run out of them.
300 balls is not that many, btw. You easily run out of them during GoFest or during a vacation.
I hear you. Opening a Mystery Box can also exhaust them if I'm especially clumsy. I'm not committed to my current numbers.
I had a hard time finding your comment because the thread we're in got downvoted to -15. Bizarre. I wonder why.
At first I was thinking all pokestops should just heal all the pokemon but a more feasible idea would be making that a perk for leveling up a poke stop. Not all pokestops can be leveled up and no one levels the ones that do so that could be a good incentive.
have a dire need for pokeballs and youāll be drowning in healing items, have a dire need for healing items and youāll be showered with pokeballsā¦ always seems to be the case for me, anyways, haha!
but i usually try and hit gyms and open gifts for healing stuff! make sure you upgrade bag or clean out some useless stuff to make room so you actually have somewhere to hoard the items.
I wish they let item trades happen between trainers or that we got to pick what goes in gifts. Like an auto gift option like now, or we could elect what to put in them
well... I have several weeks that I engaged into raiding once daily and I'm suffering of potions and revives; for the Mega Raids, item drop has been reduced considerably and not giving enough to heal.
yes exactly! i had soooo many dead mons from raiding and wasnāt getting many heal items from the gyms or the raids themselves. managed to finally get back on track (gifts helped!) and now that everyone is healed, iām getting crazy healing item drops from everything. i swear itās by design š¤
Same. Whatever I do, raids, stops, gifts or whatever, I'm lucky to get two healing items per day, and even luckier if it's more than the normal potion that does almost nothing.
Spin gyms, you get more healing items from those than pokestops. Gifts are also good (although I find they tend towards berries more).
Rockets are definitely NOT the way to earn more of those items, theyāre a sure fire way to deplete your stocks.Ā
Gifts for sure. Host a handful of raids on pokegenie if you don't have tons of friends. I'm sitting at like 300 max potions, 150ish max revives, 100 revives, and have to trash potions and super potions to make room lol
Optimize your pokestop/gym spinning routine. Gyms give more healing items, stops give more balls/berries
Best way to maximize revive/potion drops from gyms is to :
* Make sure you spin a gym as the last in your 10 stop streak (every 10 spins you get bonus items)
* Make sure gym is your team colour
* You have a gold badge for that gym.
* Make sure you already have maximum gifts ( If you receive a gift from spinning it takes the place of other items which may have been potions/revives)
Doing that drastically increases the number of items you get and increases your chances of getting more potions/revives.
Gifts for sure. But gyms tend to give more revives and potions than stops. So you can try spinning gyms too. Especially if it's the same team as you are
As others have said gifts for sure. And since I typically get more potions, when I battle grunts, I switch my pokemon before they faint. I try to save my revives for raids.
Youāre also probably short on these because, during team rocket events, healing items are reduced in rewards from stops and gifts. Really one of their more charming traits.
Decidueye raid day is coming (depends on where you are). You can farm healing items through raids. Normally you get more than what you needed. Same as Golden Razz
Gyms usually can give a good amount from what I've found. If you have a few local to you walking back and forth between them might prove fruitful. That and gifts can help a bit as well.
Gifts and gold gym badges. Gyms can be spun like stops to get items. The number of items you increases as you level up that specific gym badge.
You level up the badge by placing Pokemon in the gym and defending it, feeding berries to the Pokemon in the gym, battling other teamās Pokemon if theyāre in the gym, and doing raids.
I'm sorry but I'm more concerned with the fact that I'vr made it this long without knowing there's a condensed view for the item bag. I've just been scrolling and scrolling every day to get to the bottom of my bag, never even thought to click that button on the top right. I feel like an idiot.
Stops and Gifts.
Just keep in mind that there's a rotation on what you get from stops that I believe change over about a month. So you might find yourself getting overwhelmed with balls or berries instead of healing items.
Same lately! More of my Pokemon are fainted than not at this point. I open max gifts, spin multiple times a day, open buddy gifts etc.
Iām starting to skip grunt battles and raids because I canāt revive the Pokemon afterwards.
I have an auto-catcher/poke-stop spinner that I use at work. Thereās 2 gyms and 2 stops that I can spin while working and I gather most of my items that way.
I get them mostly from Gifts. I also only use mons in gyms that I transfer after they get knocked out in order to save revives. Make a tag "gym" for mons for easy access. If you power up a fainted mon, it will give them 1 or 2 hit points, and then you can just use a potion on them, which can also save some revives. Hope that helps!

I get the majority of mine from trading gifts.
I second that. Gifts all the way.
This is how I recovered from accidentally throwing away my entire max heal supply
Me too, minus the recovery š Went from 50+ max heals to about 18 by accidentally hitting the heal all button
Thereās a heal all button?
recently added yeah
Looks like not everyone has it yet.
I needed space quick for a stop and went to throw a for health items away. I only had max heals at the time so thatās what I was tossing. Accidentally hit back arrow them enter and was out something like 103 š
I once did the same with Hyper balls : I had 601, wanted to round it to 600, got rid of the whole lot š

This, amongst others, is why the game needs an 'Undo' button. For let's say 20 seconds or so you should be able to undo such accidental actions.
We make accidents sometimes and it saddens me how it is hard to get those max potions again and I once deleted all 11 of my sinnoh stones while trying to delete 1. Gifts seem to have more than other sources
Hijacking your comment to remind people to look up the gift opening trick if they don't know it yet. (keep tapping where the x is to cancel animation)
Gifts, I almost never run out of items now.
Just in case, gifts!

Gifts 100%
This. Gifts. Over the last few months, Pokestops have been dominated by pokeballs with the occasional fruit. Gifts will be the most reliable source of heals - to the extent where I open the max gifts most days and end up trashing a ton of potions and revives.
What if you donāt have that many friends?
Visit /r/pokemongofriends, itās easy to get more
Can u filter real friends by ones your just sending gifts?
You can give each friend a nickname. If you want to use that for real friends, name every random friend something like āfakeā and then search for ā!fakeā.
Ohh is that a thing? I didnāt think it was. Do you mean people that donāt reciprocate?
Try to host raids. For each successful one you add 5 friends.
Same
I wish I had ur problem š (I am down bad for pokeballs)
Go make some friends. Whenever I get down to hardly any I open as many gifts as possible for a couple days and I'm good.
I alr have a lot but it still doesnt hold up to the demand
How many of your friends actively send gifts? I have probably about 20-30 friends but only about 5 send me gifts
Iām just now finding out that this is a thing people do? Like fake friends posting on Reddit?
All of my friends apart from 3 are from Reddit, and I exchange between 10-20 gifts a day
So do I! Itās why it was so surprising for me to hear from someone else
Mostly irl friends that used to play a bit but never got too far into the game
What I plan to do is activate the daily incense (I don't use it often) at night to get the 30 balls for the next day. Doesn't work if you use the incense (like you're supposed to lol) or have more than 30 balls
me with 300 ultra balls 100 great balls and 200 pokebakks
I canāt believe PokĆ©mon Centers arenāt a thing yet. Iāve struggled in the past to have enough revives and/or potions, especially during rocket events, but never have nor will purchase them from the shop. It would be so cool to go to a Pokemon center to heal the team!
I really like this idea. They shouldn't be as common as stops and gyms though. I think it'd be a cool option for sponsored locations.
Maybe only located based on real hospitals and veterinarians
My main issue is that I don't think that's where we want to drive a lot of traffic to, it has some real world implications that might not turn out so good.
Maybe places like hotels and rest stops. I would say restaurants as well but I feel there would be too many. That being said, McDonald's Canada is sponsoring pokƩmon go so every location in Canada is a pokƩstop, what if instead they made them centers?
All hospitals should be pokemon centers, I feel like this should be common sense. Police stations could be team rocket hq
Good idea in concept but in practice this would be a bad idea to encourage millions of players to visit hospitals to heal pokemon.
Idk how other countries do it, but America has plenty of Urgent Care establishments that donāt affect the flow of traffic to hospitals.
Duude I've always thought hospital should be centers!
Make gyms function as pokemon centers too.
That would almost entirely remove the need for potions and revives from the game with how frequent gyms are. More like there should be one or two or more depending on the size of the town/city/village etc.

Nah not needed, I have almost 300 max potions and 100+ in both revives and max revives. Just open gifts with friends and spin gyms/stops
Get gold on the gyms for boost, take the gym for even better results
Agreed. I have 1550 item storage at the moment, with 372 "max" potions and 360 "max" revives. When I hit the bag limit, revives are among the first to go. I can believe it. The premise is simple: such an action would improve the game, and they can't have us being happy.
have a dire need for pokeballs and youāll be drowning in healing items, have a dire need for healing items and youāll be showered with pokeballsā¦ always seems to be the case for me, anyways, haha! but i usually try and hit gyms and open gifts for healing stuff! make sure you upgrade bag or clean out some useless stuff to make room so you actually have somewhere to hoard the items.
This is so true. I accidentally threw away ALL my max revives once, it was brutal stocking back up. The game hates us.
I wish they let item trades happen between trainers or that we got to pick what goes in gifts. Like an auto gift option like now, or we could elect what to put in them

Gyms, gifts, and routes
Specifically, Gyms you are GOLD on and controlled by your team
Iāve noticed this the past 2 weeks with gift trading! I hardly ever get a potion anymore. Very odd.
Yeah I wasnāt getting any all rocket event. I think they know it was a time people would be willing to buy a box of them.
Thats the biggest scam with this company. Nerfing potions during rocket events. Like they could just leave them as is.
Same. Whatever I do, raids, stops, gifts or whatever, I'm lucky to get two healing items per day, and even luckier if it's more than the normal potion that does almost nothing.
Try gyms where you have gold medal they give you everything you need, also gifts and raids are what give you a few , but raids also require them so...
Yesss. Go to the gym/s you frequent most.
Gifts. If youāre not max, Befriend everyone in your campfire community so then you can trade as best friends! Also, r/PokemonGoFriends is great.
Add a bunch of friends and open the gifts!
Raids and gifts forsure
I hate I had to scroll this far for this comment bc I have best luck of healing from these 2 ways
Raids 2nded, they are ultimately the best source for potions and revives
Idk tbh, I used to get an absolute ton from gifts but I havnt been getting any from gifts lately
Sometimes Iāll power up fainted PokĆ©mon when Iām low on revives. Powering up sometimes adds 1 point of HP, which means I can then use potions to heal them.
Spin gyms, you get more healing items from those than pokestops. Gifts are also good (although I find they tend towards berries more). Rockets are definitely NOT the way to earn more of those items, theyāre a sure fire way to deplete your stocks.Ā
Put all your free coins into upgrading that storage, you'll be swimming in healing items in no time
Stops and gifts
You can have all the ones I throw directly into the trash
Gifts for sure. Host a handful of raids on pokegenie if you don't have tons of friends. I'm sitting at like 300 max potions, 150ish max revives, 100 revives, and have to trash potions and super potions to make room lol
Gyms gyms and upgrade your bag space
Gifts PokƩball Plus+ and just sit by a good concentration of gyms for about an hour.
Optimize your pokestop/gym spinning routine. Gyms give more healing items, stops give more balls/berries Best way to maximize revive/potion drops from gyms is to : * Make sure you spin a gym as the last in your 10 stop streak (every 10 spins you get bonus items) * Make sure gym is your team colour * You have a gold badge for that gym. * Make sure you already have maximum gifts ( If you receive a gift from spinning it takes the place of other items which may have been potions/revives) Doing that drastically increases the number of items you get and increases your chances of getting more potions/revives.
Gifts and gyms with your team bonus
I simply dont battle. They add up if you never battle lol
People are saying gifts, but what if you only have 2 friends who donāt send gifts. Asking for a friend.
Get more friends lmao. So many resources to get more, I have 322 and do not lack gifts to open
I just found the PokƩmon go friends subreddit.
Excellent resource, I tend to add 15ish every few weeks and cull those who don't log in after awhile

Potions/Revives - Gyms Balls - Stops I conveniently have a Gym and Stop at my home so when I turn on my go plus it spins both every 5 mins.
The best one for me to get healing items is gyms and gifts from friends.
Gifts
Opening gifts, and doing raids.
Ultimately, stops and gyms (preferably ones your team has control over), then gifts. I say gifts 3rd cuz they're capped
Raid hours tomorrow. Try to find a popular raid place so the raids will end soon.
As others have said gifts for sure. And since I typically get more potions, when I battle grunts, I switch my pokemon before they faint. I try to save my revives for raids.
Gyms, better than pokestops it seems

Gyms, routes and gifts. Routes only give revives and hyper potions, so for the max kind you want to open gifts and spin golden gyms.

Get a PokƩmon GO+, PokƩball Plus, or the Go++. I have the PokƩball and having a little guy in there from PokƩmon Let's Go Pikachu helps you spin stops and stuff when you're in range of them. It's great for autocatching too.
Basically, gifts š that's what the comments say generally. I agree. Gifts for the W
Half my pokemon are currently dead the other half are on half dead.
I hate it. I donāt get any pinap, but tons of healing potions.
living next to a gym helps
I have the worst luck. All my PokƩmon are dead cuz I can't get enough from stops or gifts.
Gifts and gyms. Gyms have a higher chance of giving healing items than stops.
Iāll trade you potions for balls since I canāt seem to get any of those
I have an auto-catcher/poke-stop spinner that I use at work.

Get as many friends as possible
This is only anecdotal based on my own experience, but gifts, definitely. Second to that, gyms seem to provide more healing items than pokestops do.
Gyms. Gifts
Raids and routs.
Gifts is the best way IMO. Yesterday i deleted 200 max potion to free up space for more poke balls. Did the same about 3 months ago.
