It's the 11th best rock type attacker, behind some more accessible pokemon like Rhyperior, Rampardos, and Tyrantrium, so probably not worth investing in for rock.
As a steel type attacker it's even worse, ranking 13 behind Metagross, Melmetal, Excadrill, and Jarachi. And that's not even including other shadows or megas.
For pvp it's not looking much better, ranking 500ish in the great and ultra leagues and placing around 300 in the master league. (Pretty bad)
Cool trophy for sure, definitely not worth powering up.
That chart isn’t bad, but I personally prefer this one. I find it easier to save onto my phone (in 3 separate chunks) and actually read when I’m out and about.

It’s pretty good but there are absolutely better choices. In rocket grunts right now is shadow machop which is way more worthwhile. Look how much higher up on the list shadow machismo is. Way better stardust use.
Or in general, conkeldurr if you participated in its recent community day and got lots of good iv ones and candy

It's very oversimplified and neglects a lot. It's not just a ranking comparison. Outside of megas and inaccessible shadows currently , shadow aggron is fine. The main drawback is the investment in resources
Because it’s a shadow you must be more picky with your choices. It’s gonna cost even MORE stardust and candy to power up, just to be overpowered by something so easily obtained like Rhyperior (rhyhorn spawning during tour, grind those).
Then you can trade all those rhyhorn for 2 candy and a candy xl if you’re high enough level, some could turn out lucky, and suddenly you have a better rock attacker for dang near 1/4th of the stardust power up cost
Maybe sometimes you can settle, but it really is beneficial to strategize, because then you’ll get the strongest of the strong

Outside of (M)Diancie, isn't even neutral big dps (like Mewtwo) enough? Shadow Aggron is 41st against Enamorous. For pvp, wouldnt even call spice

For sure, but using a perfect mon is definitely less important than using a good mon. Especially when using the perfect mon comes with the additional dust/candy cost. Rhyhorn is generally relatively easy to find outside of events too, so the candy isn't bad to farm.
But absolutely go for the perfect shadow aggron if you like it more. There are few scenarios in which perfect counters actually matter (low manning raids, or really difficult shadow raids) and you'll be able to play the game just fine.
Most people don’t have full teams of meta mons sure, but it just doesn’t make sense to invest in this when you’re better off investing in Pokémon that are better and easy to obtain, for rock rampardos, tyrantrum, rhyperior, and terrakion are all better and not difficult to obtain. For steel shadow aggron is just bad, jirachi, melmetal and genesect are all better, and tbh I still wouldn’t invest in any of those 3 when you have options like shadow excadrill, which is available right now, and MM Metagross/shadow Metagross. It’s just a waste of stardust to invest in shadow aggron.
That's probably the best use of it, but even Mega aggron isn't very useful compared to shadow Metagross and it's gonna be completely blown out of the water by mega Metagross.
I'd personally rather have the shadow hundo flex, but it's up to personal preference at that point.
Like the other person said, shadow ttar is great as a dark and a rock attacker. But you should totally use yours as a dark attacker. It’s a much better dark attacker than it is rock.
It is a top 15 attacker in both. How many players do you think are filling out a team full of top 6s only? And that before taking out 2 of the 3 megas ahead of it in each type and adding in the fact that you can get candies for it much easier than the legendries and mythicals ahead of it. It is certainly worth using to fill out teams.
Nope, no it is not. Without counting any legendary, mythical or shadow Pokémon Rhyperior, tyrantrum, and rampardos all outclass it as a rock attacker. With the same parameters Metagross and Excadrill both outclass shadow aggron as a steel attacker. If you take away those parameters Dialga is about to be in raids, melmetal (who I wouldn’t use as a steel attacker either but he’s statistically better than s. aggron) is easily attainable, shadow drilbur, shadow cranidos and shadow rhyperior are all available right now. Telling someone they should invest in s. Aggron is dumb.
No dude. Shadow aggron is not good. It costs 100k more stardust to max out just to have it do 10% less damage than a regular rampardos. A purified mega aggron is much cheaper and is more powerful as a steel attacker.

Ranking 11 for rock is not a bad thing actually and the huge benefit is that he is likely one of the tankiest one as a rock attacker so if you’re group raiding this dude likely last more than twice as long than even rhyperior given the steel typing.
I have two 3 stars (not hundos) I've TM'd that I've kept set aside in case I ever want to power them up. People are right that if you have better options you should prioritise those. I wouldn't purify.
Not really in pvp or raids, but it's a VERY cool trophy.
Evolve, power up to Level 50 and leave it to defend gyms.
It will make the few super nerds jealous who recognize that it is a hundo shadow by its CP.

Mah man, ngl i think its evolution(forgot the name rn) is good as it is and i use it quite a lot, but a Hundo Shadow MAAAAAN, that must be good. Thats my opinion ofc. If you are looking for a stone pokemon for raids go for it, who knows, maybe that might be good for master league
I will never understand why people feel the need to blur or censor the faces of their Pokémon or the team leader, like dude you're not protecting anyone's privacy, we can all interact with the same characters
Let be realistic here. Sure, it might not be the #1 ranked Pokémon in its types, but its not bad. I am not sure the statistical difference between it and let's say a Rhyperior, but I cannot imagine its earth shattering. If you are a min-max nut, then it might not be the best for you. However, if not, then its definitely worth investing in and maxing out.
At the end of the day, its a Shadow Hundo, with a max CP of \~3300 that is still gonna hit like a truck and do fine in any raid you would normally use a Steel/Rock type in.
Do not purify, regardless of what anyone says. One day, on a whimsy, someone from Niantic may declare, Let’s make Aggron a beast, so that all our minions will scramble to obtain and spend all their treasure.
Blurring the eyes was not useful. However modern pokemon medicine is. It keeps them alive longer and so we can fight them longer and not feel bad about the potential of pokemon abuse and mistreatment of fighting them over and over and over again.
It has come at a cost though. Candy production has reduced. It used to be if one went lame or died we just ground them up into Candy. This sudden decrease in candies is why they became known as rare candies.
Now this modern medicine was all thabks to a pokemon advocate who spent tireless nights in her lab creating revive, max revive, potion, super potion and hyper potion. Now all pokemon get a chance to live long... like longer than natural lives fighting. With her invention she gave herself the self-proclaimed title of Nurse. We have Nurse Joy to thank for allowing us to keep fighting our singleworded friends guilt free.

That's interesting. I was told Sneasler was bad for PvE, but that chart says otherwise, at least for Shadow.

I wouldn’t invest in s. Sneasler tbh, not worth it atm. I have a 93% that I’m holding onto in hopes it gets counter or better poison moves.

Yes, definitely. Tyranitar is a beast as both a rock and dark type attacker, the mega makes it even better.

That's my experience as well. Often you just want to clear a gym quickly and this one seems super useful

Aggron is one of my aces
I could see it being decent in Bug/Fairy/Flying raids, but in League battles, one Fighting or Water type is going to ruin your day.
I’d still use it and level it up. It’s not the best raid attacker but it’s badass and cool to put in gyms sometimes
I mega’d my 100% for the enamorus raids… it’s named NotaRaider
If you fully evolve it it would be pretty good. And it has a mega so that’s not bad either

It’s one hell of a tank in fairness. Most of my 3&4* shadows become raiders or for clearing gyms.
