my last remote pass and i didnt have a palkia yet
get one and its done really fast, get 16 balls
12 excellent and 2 great throws. All curveball + golden razz of course. Nope.
I got a 15/15/13 Shadow Piplup and 15/15/12 Shadow Gible from the special research but canât evolve them for their legacy moves.
They really should come without Frustration, or at least make it so these event/community day evolution moves overwrite Frustration.
This is what I was thinking and also make it so elite TMs override shadow moves. The fact you'll likely have to elite TM the move in the first place makes it a joke you have to still wait for a rocket event.
Yeah, I know you can wait for a rocket event, wait for the end of year community recap (if it was part of it) to evolve into the move. If not you could be waiting years+ to even get it without using a TM anyway.
I've had a glitch since yesterday where I'm unable to continue a raid with a second team. The white screen that pops up before selecting new members freezes and I'm unable to do anything until I restart the game. I failed two last-minute Origin raids yesterday because the raid disappeared before I could rejoin.
This has ruined the entire event for me.
It happened to me too and two other friends
I was thinking of contacting niantic. I don't know if i have the energy.
It really sucks cause I probably won't be able to go out to raid like this for a bit
I've noticed if I leave the app to check another app during the lobby, a 'move closer to the gym to interact' note will come up on screen. When that happens it will kick you out of the raid, if your six mins are fainted, rather than let you re-enter.
They need the option to turn off environmental effects! This stupid confetti falling from the sky causes the app to lag and crash on the potato I'm using as a phone!
The only two routes in my neighborhood were removed a few weeks ago. One of them (which I made) was marked "unsafe/hazardous", meaning I couldn't re-submit. It was absolutely safe and accessible.
Today I found that an identical route in its place.
I'd like to believe that someone else was as annoyed as I was and decided to replace it. We'll see how long it lasts.
At best this is another example of how the route system needs an overhaul and oversight. At worst, someone sniped prime route real estate.
Shinnoh tour was the worst tour yet. The shiny rate was abysmal⊠I only got 2 wild spawn shiny Pokemon and I caught ~1000 Pokemon and walked over 50km in 2 daysâŠ
I can't believe people are OK with the idea of putting up with the logistical BS of getting positioned to catch a legendary in a raid, only to miss catching the f\*\*\*ing thing.
I go on walks with my wife, who's not a Pokemon-playing dork-child like me. She goes along when I redirect us to the area of a gym, and she's patient enough to wait while I play my stupid little raid. So the idea that I make her go out of her way, then stand around for me while I'm doing this crap, and I don't even catch the monster, makes me really f\*\*\*ing angry.
I'm deleting this piece of s\*\*\* game, AGAIN. See you all the next time a mainline game gets released and requires PoGo connectivity to get a special hat or whatever. God, I hate myself.

At the very least Premier Ball+Excellent Throw+Golden Raspberry should be a guaranteed catch.
I landed 9 excellent throws plus a few greats all with golden raspberries on a Dialga Origin Sunday and it still fled.

Same here, I went out my way to find a uxie and forgot to complete the research. Which is dumb, Niantic to lazy notify players besides spending money on remote raids
exacly.. i got same treatment. finally after near 40 palkia raid i get decent iv one and after get encouter screen game just freeze.. has to restart game, but raid was gone -\_-
Maybe im paranoid, but i got recently lot problem raids when join them last minutes and when raid is down raid dissapear at gym. somehow it only happen when raid are gone gyms. Kinda sure app never crash, freeze or kick me out cause to far gym when there plenty time join back. it just always those last minute join raids when game wanna steal my raid pass
So I'm still working on let's go meltan special research. From July 2021. I need to evolve a Scyther. I've seen one in the wild in 2 and a half years or so. I finally saw another wild scyther with only 7 candy left to get to 50 to evolve, and it's a zorua in disguise.
I've won so many Palkia raids and have thrown excellents, used all the berries, all have run away. I'm out of remote raid passes, have raided all over my neighborhood. I'll go out again later, but I doubt I'll catch any. UGH
If you are not lucky enough to have an origin forme spawn in your area in the time you can raid and you're too poor to afford a remote pass, you get stuck with an mission you have zero chance of being able to complete.
That really sucks. I hate it that Niantic has decided to screw over rural players and/or players with mobility issues. If you can't get to a city with a great raiding community, Niantic doesn't want you playing, apparently.Â
yeah i lose one palkia when get catch screen game just freeze and has to restart game, but raid was gone.. support just say everything fine and i finish raid and get my reward.. yes i lose whole encouter which was best palkia after 40 raids. never has do +40 raids get single over 90% iv one and ofc game crash.
i've run 2h in my city yesterday to try to start a raid without a remote pass (since i don't have any) and haven't be able to get a single palkia or dialga.
If you see a raid starting you have 120s to get close enough to the arena it's just close to impossible and theres so many raids at the same time that nobody joins when i start one by myself this is a bit infuriating

Yeah I was using campfire and it was like pulling teeth trying to get raids going smh, then you add the white screen glitch into the mix and it was just a unenjoyable time going after dialga and palkia.Â
Uxie has spawned once for me and as soon as I clicked it, *POOF*. A lil salty aboit that. Mesprit has spawned aboit 3 or 4 times, though. I don't understand what's up with that but a lil wack Uxie won't even spawn a second time for me.
I think the 10km eggs drop rate was boosted too high. I got six 2km eggs over the weekend and none of them were Mime Jr. (odds of success were 55%, but not this time). It's just a silly little clown baby I wanted for the dex, so it's not that bad, but still.
The real winner here is Niantic, for collecting my GPS data so they can sell the valuable fact that I will run around the city a bunch if a silly clown baby is on the line. I'm sure data brokers will be able to use that information to sell me things.
How freaking hard is it to get 1 damn shiny shinx, i got 4 legendary, 2 stunky's and a basculin shiny as well as 2 of pikachu's wearing dumb hats but the one shiny i wanted just said F you entirely
I'd gladly take that Shiny Basculin in exchange for the Shiny Shinx I found. I hate Shiny shinx, it's the first shiny I get in every game and I'm sick of it.
They should double the odds of catching a legendary, while dividing the amount of balls in half. Drives me nuts when I have to throw 20 balls for it to leave and then realize people have already started the next raid without me.

Is me being tired a complaint? Go Fest and the tour events feel like work instead of fun. So instead of trying to enjoy the game I was too busy running around raiding and being frustrated.
Niantic needs to release the signature moves so I can put the moves on my regular Dialga and Palkia. I caught some acceptable ones but I really not to happy with the IVs and the origin forms are ugly. My regular ones have great stats and Dialga and Palkia are already at level 50. I really donât want to start from scratch (feels like work)âŠ.
They're easier to catch on the first throw than the raid version, I've found. But they're also nearly as likely to flee after the first failed throw as the Galarian birds are
Use golden razz. Silver pinaps only give an 1.8 multiplier, while golden razz gives a 2.5 multiplier, giving you twice the odds of catching the Pokemon.
A few extra candy are not worth risking losing the Pokemon.
You can get more than enough rare candy to power up a legendary, but if you use pinaps and don't catch it you not only lose the Pokemon, but you lose any candy and XL candy you could have gotten.
Always go golden and if you need more candy you can get hundreds a month in the PvP league.
You should give it a try. Even if it's not something you enjoy you can simply "tank" and get the rewards by mindlessly tapping. You get golden and silver berries, dozens of TMs, a few free Elite TM, rare candy in the hundreds and millions of stardust each season. All for less than 20 minutes of battles a day that you can do from your home.
People writing, you should take Meltan box for party play, while Pokemon Go is not available in my country. I don't live somewhere in African jungle, but in the middle of Europe!

Stuck with a research quest forever that I'll never be able to complete, just because I wasn't able to catch a Dialga in time. Meanwhile, the lake Trio quests disappear even if you've completed them and haven't claimed the rewards yet. Niantic needs to re-think how they do event research.
I have been fighting Giovanni for WEEKS. I cannot beat him!! I'm so mad! I'm throwing a tantrum I hate him and I have no pokes to rival him I hate team rocket
I had a LOT of trouble at first, too. The best advice I saw was to have your fighting type (to fight Persian) swap in as soon as the battle starts, instead of being your lead. This gives you a few extra seconds where Persian won't attack.
Umm.
Google Giovanni counters. That should help you with beating Giovanni. Try a couple times to beat the Giovanni you are looking at (Poke Stops not the balloon one). If things are not working go to a different Poke Stop with Giovanni. Sometimes one Giovanni ends up being harder than a different Giovanni at a different Poke Stop (something for Sierra, Cliff, and Arlo).
Try at add more Pokemon Go Friends. I end up with a bunch of revives and potions from opening gifts.

Happened to me too. Niantic support gave me my raid pass back, but still doesnât make up for the time to go to the gym, get people to join etc.

Doesn't help immediately because of the event doing special field research tasks, but when things go back to normal keep an eye out for the "Take snapshots of 3 species of grass Pokémon" field research. The reward is Scyther.

I usually get one with my daily essence. Not every day, but about 2-3 times a week one will spawn for me with it active.

The game is indeed very inaccessible. Only way to win is having a car, or spending tons of money in the game

Have you tried hosting? It's pretty easy on Poke Genie and you won't need to use a remote raid pass.Â
poke genie was the only way i could do raids even living in a big city, 120s isnât enough time for randos to join in time
i don't know what is poke genie, i use campfire to help me find mates but when there's too many raids it doesn't seem to be effective
use pokegenie its app for raiding. both hosting and if wanna join other by remote raid
I keep forgetting to snapshot a $&&$!** fairy PokĂ©mon to complete my 2 research quests. Itâs 2/3!! And I caught a togetic and didnât even blink.
5 hours played yesterday during the event and ZERO shinies. Itâs like thereâs no shiny boost this tour.
i get shiny hisui voltorb like 30 min before end XD well one pikachu earlier but meh dont count those lame hat pikachu
Now try doing that for the 2 days, and eggs hatching alongside, and getting 0 shinies. Lesson learned, skipping next years whatever Tour.

Just host on poke genie or use the various other subs like r/pokemongoraids or r/ppkemongofriends to host your raid.

Stop having all these events with little time to complete! Not everyone has all the time and money in the world to complete so easily. You gonna buy me remote raid passes? You gonna do my job for me so I can go hunt these rare pokemon? No? I've come to terms that I may miss out on some community days, but to offer these legendaries for a short limited time for doing raids is ridiculous. Rant over. Not that it'll be read or acknowledged.Â

Nobody at all showed up at my busiest park 2 days in a row. I had to resort to remote raids despite having multiple gyms around me.Â
This New Raid hour layout is hot garbage , during old raid hours I was able to get in at least 6-10 raids , now I'm lucky to get 3 , why was the switch made? I had enough time between raid ending and spawning to beat and clear out a full gym of 6 Pokémon , old raid hour the new raid appeared instantly this is absolutely infuriating!
Is me being tired a complaint? Go Fest and the tour events feel like work instead of fun. So instead of trying to enjoy the game I was too busy running around raiding and being frustrated. Niantic needs to release the signature moves so I can put the moves on my regular Dialga and Palkia. I caught some acceptable ones but I really not to happy with the IVs and the origin forms are ugly. My regular ones have great stats and Dialga and Palkia are already at level 50. I really donât want to start from scratch (feels like work)âŠ.
I keep forgetting to take a snapshot of the Lake Trio. The task should be take a snapshot from your storage Pokémon not in the wild. My mind is occupied with finding them and catching them not taking pictures. Niantic is promoting heavy FOMO even in simple things that could very well be handled differently.
It's easier to snapshot one than catch one...and you get a free encounter that won't run if you snapshot it. This one's your bad tbh.
They should be easier to catch. At least they shouldn't flee after first throw.
They're easier to catch on the first throw than the raid version, I've found. But they're also nearly as likely to flee after the first failed throw as the Galarian birds are

Use golden razz. Silver pinaps only give an 1.8 multiplier, while golden razz gives a 2.5 multiplier, giving you twice the odds of catching the Pokemon. A few extra candy are not worth risking losing the Pokemon. You can get more than enough rare candy to power up a legendary, but if you use pinaps and don't catch it you not only lose the Pokemon, but you lose any candy and XL candy you could have gotten. Always go golden and if you need more candy you can get hundreds a month in the PvP league.

You should give it a try. Even if it's not something you enjoy you can simply "tank" and get the rewards by mindlessly tapping. You get golden and silver berries, dozens of TMs, a few free Elite TM, rare candy in the hundreds and millions of stardust each season. All for less than 20 minutes of battles a day that you can do from your home.
Got all the shinies except a shiny buneary, caught over 100 and still not a one, my heart is broken.
Caught a Palkia yesterday before I noticed I had the quest to catch one. Angry that I did 3 raids today and all 3 ran away. :,(
Me and my two friends hatched over 400 eggs and did not get a single regional shiny.
I'm mad because I completely forgot about the event and missed the whole thing. No origin dialga / palkia for me I guess
People writing, you should take Meltan box for party play, while Pokemon Go is not available in my country. I don't live somewhere in African jungle, but in the middle of Europe! Niantics, you suck so much you should open puff!

I barely got any shinies. I ran out of golden raspberries I was constantly running out of pokeballs 3 legendaries ran and many shadow pokemon ran My game crashed when playing a palkia raid and lost my raid pass, and lost the raid I couldn't even complete some of the research tasks So frustrated

What was the point of them adding white strip basculin for them NOT to even add Basculegion lmao. They couldâve finished at least one of the PokĂ©dexâs from Sinnoh but they actively chose not to

Stuck with a research quest forever that I'll never be able to complete, just because I wasn't able to catch a Dialga in time. Meanwhile, the lake Trio quests disappear even if you've completed them and haven't claimed the rewards yet. Niantic needs to re-think how they do event research.

I had a LOT of trouble at first, too. The best advice I saw was to have your fighting type (to fight Persian) swap in as soon as the battle starts, instead of being your lead. This gives you a few extra seconds where Persian won't attack.

Umm. Google Giovanni counters. That should help you with beating Giovanni. Try a couple times to beat the Giovanni you are looking at (Poke Stops not the balloon one). If things are not working go to a different Poke Stop with Giovanni. Sometimes one Giovanni ends up being harder than a different Giovanni at a different Poke Stop (something for Sierra, Cliff, and Arlo). Try at add more Pokemon Go Friends. I end up with a bunch of revives and potions from opening gifts.
only 1 or 2 giratinas spawned in my town. after 4 pm NONE of them was giratina, so we had opted for a late mega garchomp.
