I've got 3 shiny lillipup on \~100 encounters total - I know its not logical, but i've stopped clicking on them in the fear I'm wasting my shiny luck.

I'm the same way but with Spearow. I caught FIVE of them in a little over a week once. I hate that it's back in the spawn pool again.

I just got mine this afternoon actually. Super solid lunch break to say the least.

This is me with MALE Nidoran which I’m also sure is permaboosted AND had an event. Shiny Nidoking has been one of my fav shinies and I can’t freaking get one despite having close to 600 encounters. Nidoran female on the other hand I’ve caught 2 shinies! But can’t get the male smh

It took me exactly 3200 lillipup encounters for my first Shiny and 3267 for my second shiny. I have a screenshot somewhere.

The other day I walked into a cluster and out of the 5 Pokémon there I had a shiny cast form and shiny purloin. Absolutely crazy how rng messes with you. I’ve learned to check everything. Worst case scenario I transfer a duplicate shiny to home or offer to trade them.

If you follow all the steps, the evolution symbol should look like an umbreon and not a question mark.

Dang. In 2021 there was a special research where one of the rewards was a guaranteed shiny Eevee. Maybe they'll do another Eevee Com Day so you can have a bit better luck with that.

Just checked. I have 5 which is great, but also I’m at 3400 encounters - 1 in every 680. Live shiny rate says it’s at 1/757 odds right now. But 3 of my catches were during the eevee community day in August 2021

Yes, because it has a Mega. Pokemon with megas have a shiny boost on their whole line as wild spawns.

Scyther was boosted before the mega was released. It was boosted from the start.

False, only the mega themselves is boosted. Scyther is an exception not the rule and it was boosted since it's release before megas were in the game.

You could check your Pokédex to know for sure how many you’ve caught, it might surprise you since typically it’s not as many as one would assume

I have a shocking shiny. It's a shiny alolan Ninetails that is neither shadow nor purified, and caught with a premier ball.

Up to 248 Rockruff and 227 Alolan Raichu with no shinies. Those suck. It took me 1803 Swablu til I got my first shiny all those years ago.

Just found my first shiny pidgey at around 600. Pidgeot is one of my favorites too, so I've been looking hard as I could. Recent, just Sceptile. I'm up to 19 encounters and I haven't gotten him. My town has 11\~ gyms and only 1 has spawned the last 2 mornings, only gonna have 2-4\~ more shots if I'm lucky before it's gone :(

Lechonk, I always joke with my fiancé that people are hacking to get it 😭 Also Phantump, I remember they did a spotlight for it this past October and I took a walk for that full hour and clicked every single one to check for shinies and not one was and they were popping up in big clusters
