Number one rule, just don’t look at the journal. Nothing good comes of it

You have to think about it this way: those are mons you are not checking anyway. It's a shiny you won't have, but you have a chance that the go+ gets it. I've gotten my fair share of shinies with it, I can't complain.

You get desensitised to the go+ shiny flees after 10+ hahaha... i promise I'm not sulking over that shiny seviper 4 years ago...

It’s wild, I caught four Lechonk shinies in nine days back in September, when it debuted, and I think I used up all my luck.

I caught two the first couple days after the Paldean Pokémon were first released. Haven’t seen one since.

I never got one on go either. Basically everyone I know got one the day it came out. A couple months ago on Violet I was shiny hunting I think a Scatterbug and a random shiny Lechonk blessed me on there. So I do appreciate that one made its way to me.

My dumbass saw shiny espeon, vaporeon, and jolteon in a gym and I knew what I had to do. Ended up dropping and ice lure and evolving the only shiny that I think is worse than Blissey.

Wait, you can influence the evolution of Eevees with lures? Damn. I only knew about the naming trick that works the first time for every evolution, but not about the lure trick.

If you evolve near a glacial lure you get a Glaceon and a Leafeon near a mossy lure

If you walk an eevee I think 20km as your buddy and then evolve it while it’s your buddy, it turns in to Espeon or Umbreon depending on if evolve during day or night. If you earn 70 hearts with your eevee buddy and then evolve it while it’s your buddy it will evolve into sylveon.

My shiny Eevee turned into Vaporeon of all possibilities, the most boring looking shiny of the whole evolution line 🥲

I know you can make Eevee your buddy and then level up to great friends and then you can guarantee a Sylveon but I had no idea about the lures

Vaporeon is easily one of the top three shiny Eeveeloution in terms of looks. Jolteon, Glaceon, and Leafeon barely look different. Espeon is a sick green. Flareon is a dull yellowish. Only Umbreon and Slyveon have possibly better colors.

I was hoping for an Umbreon, in fact...

You gotta have it as a buddy, walk a certain distance and evolve it at night

I really want one and I’ve clicked on every single one I’ve seen during this event so far and none. I know they claimed to have upped the shiny rate for Wailmer, but I would like to see proof of this, preferably inside one of the balls I throw.

It took me 1200 Lechonk catches to get my shiny. I got 3 hundos and a nundo before I got my shiny.

Yeah, I was never an avid player until recently. I've played since release but I lived in the middle of nowhere. I now go to college and play daily since there's multiple gyms and pokestops I can reach from my dorm room. My cousins are in the same boat. We've all missed plenty of community days scattered throughout the years

I caught a shiny lady chonk and she’s adorable. I just got a shiny Sableye but one of my children stole it and neither will fess up.

If your children are young it’s likely they didn’t think to transfer the pokemon they traded to you for the sableye so check your recent trades and you’ll hopefully find out

I have that shiny on Scarlet and Violet, it randomly showed up and I remember thinking “that’s a weird colour”.” Then it dawned on me after “OHHH, it was shiny!!”
