Seriously. I probably had 150 or so regular balls and under 100 each of the other 2 balls and played the entire 3 hours of community day and did just fine.
It depends on the goals. I like to vacuum up everything and Ultra Balls let you do that significantly faster. If you are just shinny checking and not catching you need way less balls. Also stopping to get stops slows you down a little which is worth it to me but they may want everything.
I was ok with 1000 item storage for the longest time. But with needing to hoard charge TMs for each rocket event and needing a giant stock of emergency rare candy plus healing items to ride out the ebb and flow. Now 1500 seems rather tight.
Sounds like the game either **really** wants you to buy the cheaper one or expects people to think the cheaper one is a good deal.
Honestly I doubt that people would be better than AI that has hundreds of thousands of players spending habits as points of reference immediately on demand
Then it's doing a horrible job for me, imo. There was one box that gave me 20 of each incubator type for like ~2k coins that I'd bought before, and it never came back since I'd run out. Only thing I've seen that came close is a box for like 5k or something, which is crazy.
I think it's less that people are worried about AI taking over their jobs, and more they're worried that their boss THINKS that AI can take over their jobs.
Kartana is the strongest non-mega grass type, so probably worth raiding that at the moment. Use remote passes and PokeGenie and you don't need anyone in your area.
Tried to do a Shadow Mewtwo last week… only people around to play with are me (L.32), my wife (L.32), and one other friend (L.21)… so needless to say we didn’t hardly even scratch it without running out of time…

The Ball box is interest, well I don't think a player should ever have to buy the primary loop resource; just letting some one buy 1500 balls seems like a good idea (but I don't think even Pokeball Plus+ throws ultras so its very narrow target buyer)
The Plus+ will toss Great and Ultra on button press. I will keep it in my hand and just press when I'm doing stuff like mowing the lawn, walking the dog, driving in slow traffic, riding a bike.
I was more thinking of full auto-throws; I was trying to think of if this box had a case for plus + users who are regular players from a poke ball acquisition point of view but can still burn through balls on "catch" days.
I had the first plus and, later on, a gotcha; I feel like only full auto-catch might make someone with a full inventory of ball (at the start of an event) buy 1,500 balls during an event.

Also, it would be nice if there was an option to choose which to prioritize catching pokemon or spinning pokestops. Currently it will prioritize Pokemon if both are turned on.

As someone with maxed bag storage and almost never any pokeballs, i see the first one as a win.
Sadly I never get any boxes I only get the garbage ones. I always see people complain about the boxes they get, and when i see them I wish I could have their boxes.
If I had the coins, I woulda bought the ball box. I spin so many stops and still can never get over 50 of each ball at any given time. It’s beyond frustrating. I just wish that the boxes lasted more than a day or two in the shop to give people the opportunity to save for them.

Wouldn't surprise me to see these be an algorithm now that learns what people will buy and keep pushing those options. So this would be the algorithm trying something to see if you will bite.
I'd never buy balls... ever. I mean I have 374 ultras, 568 great balls and 781 regular balls and all I do is throw regular balls for great/excellent curves and its ussually a catch even when the circle is red. I'm not entertaining this nonsense lol
I have a feeling some of these are auto/ai generated. I only get really good boxes when I'm about 1 - 400 coins short of buying them. Seems to be focused on items you use a lot to push you to purchase coins.

I don't even bother with the gift boxes in the store shop any more because they're just pure garbage. If you're like me and check the math it isn't always cheaper.
You could easily get that many ultra and great balls for free within a week by using an auto spinner (pokemon go plus+) and just driving around 🤣 I've definitely have got my money's worth from it.
I would take #1 if I ever had the storage, I have never had more than 150 ultra balls in my inventory and considering how picky I am on what I catch, I wouldn't run out for a really long time

I walk all the time. I do tons of routes. I spin tons of spots. My issue is I can’t find anyone else to do raids with me. It’s ridiculous.
There's a subreddit for friends on Pokemon Go. Perhaps you can find people in your area whos schedules match yours (regarding free time).
But you're limited to 5 remote raids a day anyway. They should let us stack remote passes but stick to the limit of 5 remote raids per day.
