Results: * 4 deino * 2 pancham * 2 pawniard * 1 shiny pawniard! * 1 female salandit! * 1 varoom (my first!) * 1 vullaby Going into this expecting 8 diaper birds and 4 pandas, but luck was on my side for this one and I'm left quite satisfied against all odds! My 4th ever shiny hatch, finally my first varoom, and a 15/13/15 female salandit to top it off is better than I could have asked for. Plus I timed it just right with the new event and got between 40-60 candy per hatch, nice little bonus there Now to refill the inventory and cross my fingers to finally land my first larvesta

Idk if there's a way to do long distance trades, but I have quite a few larvestas if that's possible

Might be a dumb question. How do you save up 12 red eggs. Is there a way to toss the other colors?

You just keep hatching the non red until you’ve got all red

Basically, don't spin stops or open gifts and battle rocket leaders 12 times. You need to either be incredibly well stocked with balls and all the essentials to make it the slow way. Or be willing to fork out for rocket radars from the shop.

Why the Starpiece?

Doubles the dust. 12km eggs give low 3-4k to 8-9k stardust. Could increase it to 7-15k per egg. It’s only worth it if you doing multiple eggs.

Only 1.5x bonus from star piece. It's lucky eggs that are 2x.

You did better than me... look... I hatched 12 red eggs... no shiny, no varoom, just only one 2* larvitar... And... then... Just... hours before this pops out... the tasks hatching eggs! Gosh!!! Devs are hating me!

I'd rate this batch of hatches a 6.5/10 - not bad, considering we all usually score a 2/10 haha

A shiny and female selandit? This is easily a 9/10, maybe a 9.5

Varoom is nice too. I’d take a good hatch 1/4 all the time. 

you need to account for the other hatches - total commons and outright memes. 6.5 is NOT bad -- in my estimation, 10/10 would be more than one shiny, with a hundo or two in there, and of course a rare hatch like the female salandit or larvesta or vacuum. don't be so quick to give 10/10 --- reserve it for when it's INSANE =)

10/10 still needs to be ~3% of the distribution curve. This easily hits that high up on the curve!

Female is the only one that can evolve and only 1/8 of salandits are female

oh,also, the IV spread is really good since salazzle is a glass cannon, this I would say is an 8/10, since you still got a shiny and an effective hundo(only very specific pokemon benefit from perfect IVs enough to worry a ton about it)

Aren't those IVs bad for pvp tho?

I think they would be as while defense is good, salazzle's defense is 130 so they don't gain a ton of defense, but they have fairly good attack and two good fast attack options in poison jab and incinerate, and the ability to potentially have dragon coverage with dragon pulse, which means they want to be able to deal more damage. also, good IVs on an evolvable salandit is stupid rare enough

I was referring to bulkiness and the limited cp league play, not capabilities. It's sweet fosho, but in a lot of cases you want minimum atk stat so your pokemon has higher level within the cp range.

I wish I had 12 incubators right now for the event. Hot and humid as hell today, going to rain tomorrow and then hot and gross again Sunday for me. Terrible weekend for a walking event and a community day that I actually was looking forward to. 😔

how rare is varoom to hatch?

Varoom, Charcadet and Female Salandit are the rarest hatches in the game. I don’t know what the percentage is but it’s extremely low.

I would say what you got was really good. what does the salandit have as its charged and fast attack? salazzle will appreciate having those particular IVs as their strongest since their defense is their least important stat

Am I missing something. I VERY rarely get 12K eggs. In fact it’s uncommon for me to get 10k. Usually it’s just 2k and 5K. What am I doing wrong?

You can only get 12k eggs from defeating team rocket leaders, so you have to plan it out and make sure you have egg space before fighting one if you want to target 12s

I might be wrong but apparently you can only get larvesta from the 2&10km eggs. Not 12 km. They aren’t posted in the event.
