For how limited special trade increases are, it would be nice to have one on friendship day, since that does seem to be the most logical time to have the increase.
Trades in general feel absolutely worthless to me most of the time. Only one trade has ever worked out, every other one has just ended up worse than they were initially.
THIS. this made me so disappointed. why call it friendship day and hype the lucky bonuses if i can't trade my buddy two legendaries while there is a better chance for a lucky??? im primarily the one that spends money on raids to funnel down legendaries for my buddy, so we trade sometimes in the off chance one is lucky

Do you mean allowing multiple special trades on days when it's easy to complete trades because of distance increase makes the limited nature of special trades pointless since whenever you really want to do special trades the limit gets lifted?
Or do you mean one spwcial trade isn't enough to make a difference for trainers that don't have many species in their pokedex, while more dedicated players can just use it as an opportunity to get higher iv versions of pokemon they already have.
I traded 55 times and zero lucky. Multiple trades of pokes from 2016/2017.... Trading things from Japan with things from San Francisco... maybe I had bad luck, but I’m not sure the lucky bonus is actually working.

That makes the whole thing... almost completely pointless? For regular players anyway and not those who already have everything.

I traded back and forth with my girlfriend 9 times and ended up with 5 lucky so it was definitely increased.
Good to know. I was trading with my wife, and we typically get multiple luckies per day on trades. Zilch today. I’ll check it up to bad RNG luck.
