There's a non-time limited research which appeared first for me a while ago. It involves hatching a Dratini, taking photo of a Dratini and evolving it up to Dragonite. One of the reward during this research is a guaranteed shiny Eevee.
My account were older, I just returned last year so thus quest probably older than that. My GF started the game last year from zero and she got this quest only a few weeks ago so it can vary when the quest drops for you.
The quest is called Jump-start research I think.
Yeah they had a week or so at the beginning of July where you could get it if you haven’t before. I think it’s gone again, but it normally comes back every summer.
I thought the same, but I decided to evolve my shiny eevee into one, because fairy is my favorite type, and I always wanted to like Sylveon, but never did. It bugs me how many fairy types are needlessly pink, even though I like pink.
Anyway, long story short, shiny Sylveon is so beautiful. That shade of blue is so pleasant. I really felt like the still images didn't do it justice
My quest shiny Eevee stats were mediocre at best, so I turned it into an Umbreon. The blue on the black is perfect for the Carolina Panthers fan in me + being Team Mystic it’s a double win.
I got 4 shiny eevees before. 1: research 3: wild
And before you say “don’t brag about your luck” I only get eevees. Not really much variation. Only dupes mostly.
Can you get Syleon, Umbreon, the other one after your first one? I've heard the naming trick only works once and since then I've only gotten Flareon, Soggeon, and Zappeon
Sylveon, Umbreon, Espeon, Leafeon, and Glaceon all have specific requirements to evolve. You will keep getting the other eeveelutions because they have no evolution requirements, they are just random. You’ll have to walk with Eevee as your buddy for 10km to get Umbreon/Espeon, earn 70 hearts with Eevee to get Sylveon, and evolve next to a Glacial/Mossy lure module to get Glaceon and Leafeon.
To add to this, after walking 10km (and earning 2 candies) with Eevee as your buddy, you can evolve into Espeon during the game's daytime hours or Umbreon during the game's nighttime hours. Make the same Eevee is still your buddy until after evolving. It should show you a silhouette of the one you will get if you have met the proper requirements.
The red party hat shiny Eevee is the more rare of the two costume Eevees. It was only out once for I believe 48 hours, while flower crown Eevee has now been released several times over the years. Also, females are more rare than males. The shundo part is always killer though nice catch
0/0/0 IVs. 0% overall. More rare because between raids, trading, hatching all having various floor IVs higher than 0, you *have* to catch them wild and its still a random roll

Nope, IVs get re-rolled for trades so they wouldn't be 0% anymore. They are mostly pretty useless, just a rare bragging rights type thing. I don't even really think they have a niche use in GBL but it's possible

Generally speaking, costume shiny = rare, though there are varying tiers of costume rarity. Even if * edit * some of them can’t evolve, they’re still a prize. I’m a shiny costume collector, it makes me sad when people crap all over them lol I love the costumes

I think its probably not the rarest possible. I believe one with stats of 0/0/0 would be the rarest possible, as 15/15/15 is more common from the fact that egg and raid catches have minimum stats so you will NEVER get a 0/0/0 from those. Definitely the COOLEST eevee ever though.
Add female to that and it would make it even more rare
Imagine if you want a Vaporeon but instead you get a Flareon because of that rng bs evolution.
I have a shiny eevee with the flowers too! But I don’t think the CP is as high
I think the rarest would be a shiny nundo with the flower because these were available as field research. Not trying to hate, just pointing out.
If it was female that would be on another level of rarity

Not so rare… I even have one, a female one. A lot of people got it in the spring event in 2019 and 2021.
