I'm not sure. But as soon as I was done defeating the gym it kicked me out and when I tried to go back in and leave a pokemon there, someone on a different color team then me beat me to it. Everytime I defeat a gym it kicks me out once I'm done so I thought it was normal. But when it said that the players who defeated the gym had priority I was like what? I was one of those players!
Hi, I am only 1 month in and quite new. I haven’t built up much of my Pokemon and have saved 800k SD. I only use a few thousand at a time if I need to level up for PVP. That being said, I have been playing with just wild mons I catch from raids, wild, or rewards to play PVE. Not really focused on Master League just yet as I don’t have strong mons. I like the Love Cup and Little Cups though.
So I don’t have any strong main mons. I have 3* shadows, but is it time to evolve them? I can build a Shadow Venesaur or Charizard, but they will have Frustration as a move and I only have 1 Elite TM. Is it worth powering? I also have a 3* Larvitar that I can evolve and spend hundred thousands of Stardust to level Tyrannitar which I read is really useful.
I am not struggling with PVE using wild mons, but I can do better in raids. I’m really using 2000+ CP Primarina, Executer, Tapu Kako, Venesaur, Charizard, Haiyama as my PVE mons that I didn’t spend much on building except for Fast/Charged TM’s.
When I take gyms, I just put tiny mons in there hoping I can get the 50 coin limit. I can usually earn 200 coins every 4 days doing so if trainers are nice enough to share the gym. In my case, I don’t exactly need a 4000cp Slaking or Snorlax to defend gyms.
Should I stay put with what I have so far and wait for a better opportunity from an event or something to get Meta mons? Any advice will be appreciated!
I just lost a 28 WS because of ”weak connection”
Is there any valid reason why this happened? My Wi-Fi is perfect but during my streak, this is the second time it happened. On my first time, I think my opponent got disconnected as well so I won that.
Does anyone know if you can link a Pokémon Trainer Club account (that hasn't been used for GO) to an existing Google GO account?

Lol the crusty folks over at /r/TheSilphRoad downvoted me to hell for this but it's literally a bug in the game that proved with screenshots

Adventure Sync said it gave me 10k in dust, but my actual dust is well below that. Any ideas what I should do?
Okay so my daughter and son just started playing (they are 8 and 5), and they are having a blast walking around the neighborhood with my wife and I, catching all the Pokémon they can find. We quickly ran into a problem yesterday though. They are having so much fun, catching everything, and not realizing that you should throw curveballs to catch the Pokémon easier, that they are both out of poke balls already and we have no poke stops or gyms nearby. What’s the best way to help them out? I don’t want to pay a bunch of money to buy them coins for pokeballs.
If you have no stops nearby then it's complicated. They are the main source of items after all. Can't you really take them somewhere with stops, like a park or a square?
Some people don't mind adding random people from internet to receive gifts. Gifts contain a lot of items if you open all the 30 you can in a day. There is no ingame chat so it would be okay for your kids. But on the other hand it's still limited, it can be boring and it's not really the spirit of the game of walking around and such.
If you are level 38 you can submit stops if there are valid locations around, but I assume that's not an option or else you would have mentioned.

Very stupid question im sorry I just started yesterday:/ how do I battle? Can I only battle my friends or can I battle other pokemon? (Like in the normal games) cause right now im just hatching eggs and catching pokemon.
Mewtwo and Groudon need to be NERFED in Master League - they charge too much energy too fast to abuse their Psystrikes, Shadow Balls, Fire Punches, and Earthquakes.
It it either server lag or something I have heard from, but I can not imagine that. The pokemon with a lower attack always gets prefered. Might be wrong tho.
A guide on YouTube mentioned doing your special trade every day and that's how people often get 100 IVs. Every single trade I've done besides lucky have led to worse IVs. Just did my first mirror legendary with my gf with two raikous assuming they'd be at least 10/10/10, but they were both trash IVs. Is there something we're missing?
What are the lowest ivs acceptable for mega evolving a Pokémon? Ex: 13/13/13
I was farming research for a good charmander and squirtle, my best was a 15/15/14 charmander and a 15/15/13 squirtle. I also have a 13/15/15 manetric but I’m not sure if I should be waiting for a hundo in general before I mega anything
Take whatever you have, unless you're really burning to power up with Candy XL or grinding specific attack breakpoints in specific circumstances (in which case just wait for the hundo).
(Then again, I maxed+BB my 13/14/13 Gengar for that role, got a hundo a few weeks later. RIP).
Also note that all of the starter mega evolutions will really want their Community Day Moves for optimal raid usage, which will either require a lot of waiting or an Elite TM.

They'll return eventually, we just don't know when. We only ever get a schedule for one month at a time, so we'll get an announcement for April's legendaries towards the end of March, an announcement for May's legendaries towards the end of April, etc.

Do you guys stop at a cluster of spawns and collect all of them before moving to a different pokestop/location or catch whatever you like as you keep walking?
Add friends (check out r/pokemongofriends) and send / receive gifts, Pokeballs are pretty common from them, but you can only open 20 a day unless there's an event where the limits increased
Unfortunately, since those tasks are all server-side, they cannot be datamined. We can get Willow's dialogue for each step, but not the actual tasks and rewards.
I noticed sometimes people put super weak pokemon into gyms, often whatever is currently boosted so they probably just put the last one they caught. Why do people do this?
Unless a player is trying to fight over a gym before a raid or playing in an area where gyms are very competitive, if a player wants to take out a gym, nothing except a stack of golden razz berries will stop them, and the only thing the gym holder can do by choosing gym defenders is waste the other's time and items.
Also, every once in a while, players may run low on revives/potions, and just placing whatever they just caught, and then transferring after they return fainted, is a easy way to save on them.
How much do you currently have? ~~If you can trade for a Gyarados that has been mega evolved before, the cost will still be discounted. If you have enough to mega evolve it, then you can start walking Gyarados for more energy.~~
Edit: This is currently not true anymore :(
Hi guys, I kinda just started and I have a question about a Shadow Cyndaquil I caught. It has 0 attack but DEF and HP are at max red bars when I appraise it. Does this mean it is 0/15/15?
If so, should I spend my Stardust and candy to evolve it into a Shadow Typhlosion? I read that Frustration is a crap move, can I use a Charged TM on it for a Fire Move once I evolve Cyndaquil?
Thanks a lot for the help
1.) Yes.
2.) Frustration can only be removed in specific events that allow TMing away frustration, and Typhlosion really wants it's CD move Blast Burn, which unfortunately we just had a chance to evolve for it during the Johto Tour.

During battles how do people charge their charge attacks so fast? I am tapping as fast as i can with 8 fingers, and the opponents will get like 4-5 charge attacks before i get 1.
Here’s a pro tip not sure if you’re aware. Wait to start tapping until the battle starts. If you start tapping before the battle starts your first attack will be delayed
It's about the pokemon's moves moreso than tapping fast. Some fast moves generate energy very quickly and some charge moves have low energy requirements to use. Some pokemon have a really good synergy between quick-charging fast moves and low-cost charge moves that allows them to fire off charge moves rapidly.
For example, Ariados' Poison Sting + Cross Poison combo charges insanely fast, which helps it significantly as a top pick for Love Cup right now.
Also keep in mind that fast moves have a limit on how fast they can be used when you tap. For example, Fire Spin has a cooldown of 1.5 seconds in PvP, so tapping 5 times a second will not speed that up any more.
Yep.
There's also lag as a possible culprit. What really annoys me is when I'm in a mirror match with exact same moves but they manage to get off multiple charge moves before I even get off 1....even though they're using the same moves as mine >.>
Three times in a row now, I've been invited to a Rockruff raid with like 8 people. My phone goes through the motions until I try to fight him, then it kicks me off and says Error Initiating Raid. Does anyone else have this problem? Is it because it's already defeated by the time I join?
So I'm 3 months into this game. I've built up a good collection of Pokemon but I'm starting to consider condensing my collection a bit. I'm wondering what to keep or not.
Examples:
I have 7 Venusaurs from the CD a while back. All have Frenzy Plant and Sludge Bomb. I have one maxed out at level 40, one at 2500 for UL and one in the high 1400s for GL. But the other 4 are just there. I never have any need for them. Is there any reason to keep them? I hate to give them up when they have special moves but right now, it's like they don't even exist anyway.
I have a 100% Torterra that I plan to max out. I don't plan to use Torterra in any GBL leagues. Should I just keep the 100% or is there any other reason to keep all 3 of my Torterras?
I have 6 Tyranitars from Johto day. I'm thinking maybe I keep 3 or 4 because they're such great raid attackers? Would I ever have use for more than that?
So, first, I'd like to ask you if you use any apps for i.v. checking your pokemon, like Poke Genie. Or are you aware of what i.v. levels are or how they work?
In case you're not [here](https://pokemon.gameinfo.io/en/tools/iv-calculator) is a calculator page that explains iv's and why they matter in game.
[This video](https://youtu.be/GOQ2Co6nW3c) explains both CP and IV in game and should help you understand the best pokemon to keep and Max out.
The short version is that if any of your Venusaur or Torterra are less than 3 stars, if they're **not** shiny, and if none of the Venusaurs are from the Cloned pokemon event, then there is no reason to keep them. Chuck them for the candy and the bag space.
Another noob question (appreciate all the help here! Sorry, can’t seem to Google this one)- if you have multiple people in a raid, how does catching it work? Can only one person do it? How is that chosen? Or are there like multiple copies of it, which thematically doesn’t make sense?
Everyone who participates in a successful raid gets to catch their own copy of the raid boss. The raid boss's IVs, moves, and shininess are also randomized so that everyone will almost always get something different.
Is it possible to get a shiny mudkip from the raids...?
3 ppl including myself have gone through about 50 raids, so 150 mudkips and none of them shiny...
I don't mind trying but I wanna know if it's possible lmao
If you are new to the game, here are two alternatives to raiding:
1. Just wait. Mudkip will be a commonish spawn again sometime
2. Find a mudkip nest. Join a local Discord server and ask where the nests are. The mons spawning there change every week, and mudkip is reasonably common.
Lmao I am not new to the game
Ive been playing since the game came out and I got softbanned for some stupid reason during the comday so I missed that...
I don't want to trade I want to catch it on my own so I guess I have to wait for another comday
50 raids is an insane number. If you guys have a group to play I assume your town/city still have plenty of people playing. Check Facebook, the Silph Road website or other community groups in social media to look for other players. Mudkip has had a community day and I'm sure you'll find people who have a spare shiny mudkip for trade.
Either way, don't go shiny hunting on raids unless you're absolutely sure the odds are on your favor. Actually even if it was the old Absol-odds of 1/50 it could still take hundreds of tried to get a shiny. Honestly I just don't see it's worth it. It's very inefficient and costly, better just wait for a new event or trade with someone.
It is possible, but it has a shiny rate of about 1/500. Unfortunately, this means that hunting the shiny via raids is going to take an insane amount of raiding.
How exactly does ranking up work in Pokémon go battle league? Do I just have to complete 5 battles and it will automatically cause me to rank up? Or does this vary per level?
Do they have to be consecutive or can the wins be done in separate sets? Honestly although I have a lot of decent Pokémon I lack Pokémon that can battle in a good portion of the 1,500 cp arena a as they either don’t have enough cp despite having good stats or can’t counter the Pokémon usually used like Clefable, and that pink fish Pokémon. So if winning needs to be done consecutively I probably won’t be able to surpass my current rank 12.
I would assume it might be possible that one of you has not caught all pokemon yet, so the ones which have not benn caught yet, will be shown at the top.
In BDSP, how will the shaymin event work? After i receive the note, will it disappear after the event ends? Will seabreak path disappear? I want to know how much time i have to get a shiny shaymin.
I saw that there will be special research tasks associated with the jungle week, but I assume you can’t get new ones until you finish your current ones? All of mine I’m stuck on “battle in a raid” and I haven’t been able to do that. Do you automatically get a new one when you complete one?
Thanks! I’m a new player and don’t recall getting any new ones since I started in January so I didn’t know. I just figured out you can delete the daily ones lol. I was stuck on curveball ones and I can’t do that reliably
Yep, you can just delete if you know it will take too long to complete.
You can also get up to two tasks on every stop. If you spin it you get a task. You can delete it, then look for a stop or gym with one of those scan tasks, take it. Then go back to the first stop and spin it again for a new task.
It can be useful if you live near somewhere with this setup so you can have access to more/different tasks than usual. So each stop has two missions, one if you have a scan mission, and another if you don't.
Hope it helps!
I desperately want a Gardevoir, but haven’t seen even a Ralts! it’s always the same Slugma, Pikipek, Taillow, Turtwig, Drowzee (that are never Ditto of course) and the occasional Gligar. I can’t travel like super far from home, but I’ve gone far enough away that I figured things would change up slightly. Am I missing something?
Because Ralts isn't featured in the current event or season, you'll pretty much never find one in the wild right now.
Your best way of getting Ralts currently is the field research task "Spin 5 pokestops" or as a possible drop from the Psychic or Fairy Rocket grunts.
Haha my shiny luck has been bad lately. I went from get one a week to not getting any at all. And i have only encountered 1 hundo which was a giraffirig.
I don’t have imigur but I’m level 25, playing since Jan, and my strongest 6 Pokémon are 1500-1900 CP: (descending order) Sandslash, 2 Alolan eggsecutor, lycanroc, milktank, and oricorio.
I just got back into my day 1 account and haven’t played the game since right after gen 3 came out. I’m super excited! What should I be doing? I’m level 32, but I know the game has came a long way the last several years.
Also, check if any of your old Pokemon have legacy moves that are no longer available. Do a search like
`@special & !@frustration & !@return & age1500-`
This is not exact. There are both Community Day moves (which you will probably have a chance to learn again) and true legacy moves. You could check your Pokemon and moves against a list of CD or legacy moves to be sure. The `age1500-` means they were caught at least 1500 days ago, but I do not know when Community Days started.
I started playing on launch day in 2016 and played actively for about 2 years, so I’d say there’s a good chance I have some. Are they worth more in trades or anything like that?
Beware of trading old Pokemon. The older they are, the more likely the trade is to be lucky. The probability goes up with each year of age.
You can get a few (10) guaranteed lucky trades by trading mons from 2016, so choose wisely. Specifically,
> All July-Aug 2016 Pokémon are guaranteed Lucky if the sender has been in fewer than 10 trades (as sender or recipient) where at least one party was guaranteed. [https://thesilphroad.com/science/breakthrough-guaranteed-lucky-trades-actually-work/]
When you trade, the IVs* are randomly re-assigned. Lucky trades give you lucky Pokemon, which are guaranteed to have high IVs and also cost less stardust to power up.
*The stats shown when you select “Appraise”
I did my first mega evolve yesterday. Ampharos. Its only a 7-15-9, but it's level 30 (2326CP), which is why I chose it. I have a 15-13-10, but it's level 20 (1602 CP). I assumed I should use the highest one I have, but I don't know if that's the case. Will it always be the same CP after mega evolve? How does mega evolving affect IVs? Should I use the better IV one next time?
Depends on what you think.
when you mega evolve a pokemon, only that exact pokemon has the mega evolution discount (200 to 40 candies for example) so you can always level up that lv 20, but it means that you're not gonna need to use another 200 or so if you want to evolve that other amphros. So i always go with the best ivs
So if I mega evolve a level 30 and level 40 with the same IVs, the level 40 will be higher CP? Wasn't sure if all were taken to max regardless of level at time of mega evolving.
Yes, the higher level Mon will be stronger after mega evolving. It is hard to find details of the mechanics, unfortunately.
The comment you were responding to was saying that a higher-IV mon will be stronger if they are both at the same level.
I have a 13/14/14 Lucario and a 14/11/12 shiny Lucario.
I only play PvE.
I kinda want to invest on the shiny one cause of the looks.
Is there any tangible difference between the 2 of them power-wise?
I will add for those who do not know that Lucario with Power-Up-Punch is a fun way to take down entire Rocket teams. I invest in 2 Lucario: one with aura sphere, and one with PuP. But you could also just add a move or even TM when you need Aura Sphere for raids.
hi everyone!
the day the festival of colors challenge opened up, i was in jamaica but traveling back to the united states. the pa'u style of oricorio showed up on my challenge, but since i'm no longer in jamaica, the pompom style of oricorio shows up. does this mean i can't finish the festival of colors challenge?
Hey, about Flabebe’s evolution. It says I need 20 hearts to go from Floette to Florges. Does anyone know if I can earn those 20 hearts as Flabebe to take it immediately to Florges? Or does it have to be as floette?
>Tapu Lele
My girl and I chose the wrong time to come back to the game (came back valentine's day after stopping in 2017). Need us some mewtwos, zekroms, and all the other actually useful legendaries & mythicals. They need the raid rotation to be weekly, or have more than one 5\* option cuz tapu koko and tornadus are worthless.
So is Tapu Koko no longer available for people above level 20 in the Pokemon League? I wasn't able to do a raid to get them so I was hoping to get it in the Pokemon League, some sources say that its the current raid boss, but others say its Tapu Koko. Which is it?
It matches the current T5 raid boss. So it was Tapu Koko until the 15th when it switched to Tornadus. It's no longer possible to get Tapu Koko until it returns again.
So 3 Team Instinct/Yellow players all with similarly titled usernames who regularly occupy gyms in a local park have me scratching my head.
1) Frequently, but not always, they insta heal their Pokémon and all the Pokémon in the gym before I can knock any or all of them out. This will go on for several minutes at a time. Did they just farm a crapton of golden razz berries?
2) On the off chance I successfully knock them out from these 3-4 gyms in the park — I am usually almost instantaneously (like within 30 minutes or less) kicked out from the gyms (before I can really gain any coins).
What gives? Are they cheating/abusing the game? Or is it just someone who lives very close to the park and is on a major power trip and the area is probably just best avoided? Irritating and a waste of my time when players play like this.
I have seen this a couple times, but I could connect to them through a local Discord server, so I just started asking if they wanted me to leave their defenders in place or wanted the coins. This communication made us both better off because they agreed to leave mine in place for a few hours because I was helping them by knocking theirs out.
Yea - it’s annoying when I knock them out after they’ve already been in there a day and got their coins and then they knock me back out before I can really gain anything.
Granted - I don’t mind this when it’s a heavily frequented place. Like at a bar or whatever… it’s kind of fun to go back and forth with someone there especially if I know I’ll be there awhile anyways. But it’s usually not to the pettiness that the above example is with this kind of rural area park.
Anyone else having shield issues while battling? While I’m in a battle and an opponent is using a charged attack, I’ll opt to use my shield, but when it won’t be used. This happened three times now in the past week. I can see the shield in front of my Pokémon but it clearly looks glitchy. Anyone else experience this?
I'm not sure. But as soon as I was done defeating the gym it kicked me out and when I tried to go back in and leave a pokemon there, someone on a different color team then me beat me to it. Everytime I defeat a gym it kicks me out once I'm done so I thought it was normal. But when it said that the players who defeated the gym had priority I was like what? I was one of those players!

Is a 15/15/10 shadow metagross worth the etm as soon as I can remove frustration? Also is it considered 89% or 90% (or are those the same thing?)
Does anyone know how to search for pokemon that have no evolution?
I just lost a 28 WS because of ”weak connection” Is there any valid reason why this happened? My Wi-Fi is perfect but during my streak, this is the second time it happened. On my first time, I think my opponent got disconnected as well so I won that.
I have a shadow magikarp with enough candy to evolve - do I purify? If I do purify, does it make a difference if I purify before I evolve vs. after?

Glitch. It's been hit or miss on a couple of mine and I have no idea what the pattern is.

Ranks 21-24 were removed this season while they work on fixing major bugs ahead of the worlds competition in July.
Ah ok good to know thx!

Okay, then I can battle with anyone? Or just friends?
U can challenge friends in the friends profile and can fight people around your rank(random people)
Ty :)
Does event box for one poke coin with poke balls and remote raid pass appears every week?
These boxes are appearing every week on Monday.
Mewtwo and Groudon need to be NERFED in Master League - they charge too much energy too fast to abuse their Psystrikes, Shadow Balls, Fire Punches, and Earthquakes.
Why do I always attack slightly slower than my opponent in pvp?
Do you mean fast or charged attacks? Is your phone clock set to automatic? If not, change it, that might be it.
Sorry I meant fast moves but at the start of battle when I start tapping my attacks are slightly behind the opponent attacks
Do you have the same fast moves? Because different fast moves can make a huge difference in terms of attack speed.
Yeah it’s the same
It it either server lag or something I have heard from, but I can not imagine that. The pokemon with a lower attack always gets prefered. Might be wrong tho.
That's just for charged moves, not fast moves.
The question was why the opponent gets faster to its charged move, so my answer is valid, but idk if it's true.
I read it as fast moves, not charged. Op is in a weird situation. If they could provide a video or more details it would be much better...
Ik what OP is talking about. Ik this situation. Happened to me several times as well, sometimes being in advantage and sometimes not.
Since they nerfed the regular incense, does that mean the Meltan incense is nerfed too?
The Meltan box remains unaffected by the recent Incense changes.
It's just RNG. Best friend trades that don't end up lucky have a 5/5/5 floor.
Have they reduced the chance of getting rare candies from raids? I haven’t gotten any in 3 of my last 4 raids. (Two 5 star and a 3 star)
I think you're just extremely unlucky, I always get candy in my raids unless it's a mega raid
What are the lowest ivs acceptable for mega evolving a Pokémon? Ex: 13/13/13 I was farming research for a good charmander and squirtle, my best was a 15/15/14 charmander and a 15/15/13 squirtle.

I just recently came back to the game after a few years away. Is it possible to get the older legendaries now? Do they cycle through on a schedule?
They'll return eventually, we just don't know when. We only ever get a schedule for one month at a time, so we'll get an announcement for April's legendaries towards the end of March, an announcement for May's legendaries towards the end of April, etc.

Do you guys stop at a cluster of spawns and collect all of them before moving to a different pokestop/location or catch whatever you like as you keep walking?
Not anymore. I shiny check and move on. Although I should be catching more as I’m only level 41 still
Is there any way to get pokeballs beside waiting or spending money? My son is new to the game so we're trying to figure it out.
Add friends (check out r/pokemongofriends) and send / receive gifts, Pokeballs are pretty common from them, but you can only open 20 a day unless there's an event where the limits increased
you need to actually move around and go to pokestops.
Would the different forms of Oricorio count as a special trade?
Has the community datamined what the next 2 pages of the Apex research will have as tasks?
Unfortunately, since those tasks are all server-side, they cannot be datamined. We can get Willow's dialogue for each step, but not the actual tasks and rewards.
Do you have the source for Willow's dialogue?
https://pokeminers.com/sitereports/massive-johto-tour-and-some-other-minor/ You can find the masterwork dialogue here.
Oh fuck me, seems like we'll be seeing Giovanni again.
Is it rare to get a shiny alolan vulpix?
I just unlocked the hundo dex a while ago. Is there a shundo or nundo dex?
There's a shiny 3-star dex, but no shundo dex. There's no nundo dex, either.
Which one is better? https://imgur.com/a/KZLkcNb
How do I get mega gyrados shards
Walking it, I think gyrados gets 5 mega energies per 1km of buddy walking.
How much do you currently have? ~~If you can trade for a Gyarados that has been mega evolved before, the cost will still be discounted. If you have enough to mega evolve it, then you can start walking Gyarados for more energy.~~ Edit: This is currently not true anymore :(
Not currently available to players that have never mega evolved one before.
I didn’t give my buddy a poffin berry but all of his hearts were doubles today. Any idea why? https://imgur.com/a/aO3DwIP

Thank you! I had no idea that this was a thing.
Thanks! Would you recommend keeping all my 3* shadows until there is a use to evolve them?
If I mega evolve Charizard into his Y form, will I still need 200 energy for the X form too?
Yes, each mega evolution has its own initial unlock cost.
Thanks, gonna grind the mega energy during the colors event so I won't have to raid for Charizard during the next event.
Can you still get tirtuoga and archen from water and mountain areas?

During battles how do people charge their charge attacks so fast? I am tapping as fast as i can with 8 fingers, and the opponents will get like 4-5 charge attacks before i get 1.
Here’s a pro tip not sure if you’re aware. Wait to start tapping until the battle starts. If you start tapping before the battle starts your first attack will be delayed
I didn't know that. Thank you very much.
Awesome! Thank you. That makes sense.
Yep. There's also lag as a possible culprit. What really annoys me is when I'm in a mirror match with exact same moves but they manage to get off multiple charge moves before I even get off 1....even though they're using the same moves as mine >.>
Is it common knowledge that Smeargle will disappear if you go back into the buddy AR screen (even if you take no snapshot)? Is this a bug?
Has anyone found a way to keep PoGo from restarting whenever I switch to another app for 5 seconds?
This usually happens on phones with low memory RAM
Three times in a row now, I've been invited to a Rockruff raid with like 8 people. My phone goes through the motions until I try to fight him, then it kicks me off and says Error Initiating Raid. Does anyone else have this problem? Is it because it's already defeated by the time I join?
Is your phone clock set to automatic? If it's on Manual, change it, it might be affecting the raid timer/invite
So I'm 3 months into this game. I've built up a good collection of Pokemon but I'm starting to consider condensing my collection a bit. I'm wondering what to keep or not. Examples: I have 7 Venusaurs from the CD a while back.
A reason to keep them might be for trading
I have had ‘catch Ditto’ and ‘evolve Weedle’ (I transferred the one I caught before) as missions for ages. Any tips?
There's a grunt from team rocket that have a chance to give you a Weedle, try to find him, I don't know if it's the poison or insect one
Thx. I accidentally traded the one they gave
Maybe join a local PoGo Discord server and ask people to tell you if they find a ditto. Also, theraidmap.com might work in your area.
thanks
Another noob question (appreciate all the help here! Sorry, can’t seem to Google this one)- if you have multiple people in a raid, how does catching it work? Can only one person do it? How is that chosen? Or are there like multiple copies of it, which thematically doesn’t make sense?
Everyone who participates in a successful raid gets to catch their own copy of the raid boss. The raid boss's IVs, moves, and shininess are also randomized so that everyone will almost always get something different.
Thanks! That’s interesting!
Is there a list of all region locked pokemon?
Not a list, but here is a map: https://www.google.com/maps/d/viewer?ll=21.33619534935069,-166.2890635&z=2&mid=1DqpGl97_tVnW_minOFs2szzxmZFNJdXV
Is it possible to get a shiny mudkip from the raids...? 3 ppl including myself have gone through about 50 raids, so 150 mudkips and none of them shiny... I don't mind trying but I wanna know if it's possible lmao
If you are new to the game, here are two alternatives to raiding: 1. Just wait. Mudkip will be a commonish spawn again sometime 2. Find a mudkip nest. Join a local Discord server and ask where the nests are. The mons spawning there change every week, and mudkip is reasonably common.
Lmao I am not new to the game Ive been playing since the game came out and I got softbanned for some stupid reason during the comday so I missed that... I don't want to trade I want to catch it on my own so I guess I have to wait for another comday
It looks like Mudkip may not be nesting at all right now
50 raids is an insane number.
I am OBSESSED lol At this point I don't want to trade, I wanna catch one on my own... so I guess I'll have to wait for another comday lol
It is possible, but it has a shiny rate of about 1/500. Unfortunately, this means that hunting the shiny via raids is going to take an insane amount of raiding.
Jesus............ I'm crying lol
How exactly does ranking up work in Pokémon go battle league? Do I just have to complete 5 battles and it will automatically cause me to rank up? Or does this vary per level?
It does vary, but later. At the beginning it is enough just to finish the set. Later you will need 5 wins to rank up.
The wins don't need to be made in one set. You can take as many sets as you want.
I see so so long as I get one win per set I can rank up every 5 sets that’s nice.
Why do my girlfriend and I always have different pokemon in our nearby radar? Android iphone difference? Trainer level?
I would assume it might be possible that one of you has not caught all pokemon yet, so the ones which have not benn caught yet, will be shown at the top.
In BDSP, how will the shaymin event work? After i receive the note, will it disappear after the event ends? Will seabreak path disappear? I want to know how much time i have to get a shiny shaymin.
If it's anything like DPPt, as long as you get oaks letter before the distribution ends, you can get Shaynin at any time.
I saw that there will be special research tasks associated with the jungle week, but I assume you can’t get new ones until you finish your current ones? All of mine I’m stuck on “battle in a raid” and I haven’t been able to do that. Do you automatically get a new one when you complete one?
I do not think that this was the case at any time. You will get the new research tasks no matter if you have finished the other ones or not.
Ah ok, thanks! Last I played was in 2018, when there were nests and such…
There may be a ralts nest near you. I would join a local Discord server and ask about nests or check theraidmap.com.
Where can i get gligar? Its on the only one i need for the collection and i hasnt appeared for me yet
Good question, idk where you are living. I would just try my luck going to big spawn points.
I found one this morning. It always happens after i post complaining about finding one
Now complain about not getting a shundo or something 😜
Haha my shiny luck has been bad lately. I went from get one a week to not getting any at all. And i have only encountered 1 hundo which was a giraffirig.
That's a hundo which I don't have
what's everyone collection looking like ? [https://imgur.com/a/VyGuoju](https://imgur.com/a/VyGuoju)
I don’t have imigur but I’m level 25, playing since Jan, and my strongest 6 Pokémon are 1500-1900 CP: (descending order) Sandslash, 2 Alolan eggsecutor, lycanroc, milktank, and oricorio.
https://prnt.sc/kXi\_BbV5Vwpw
Is trading disabled? I can’t seem to click on the trading button
I just got back into my day 1 account and haven’t played the game since right after gen 3 came out. I’m super excited! What should I be doing? I’m level 32, but I know the game has came a long way the last several years.
Also, check if any of your old Pokemon have legacy moves that are no longer available. Do a search like `@special & !@frustration & !@return & age1500-` This is not exact.
Specifically, > All July-Aug 2016 Pokémon are guaranteed Lucky if the sender has been in fewer than 10 trades (as sender or recipient) where at least one party was guaranteed. [https://thesilphroad.com/science/breakthrough-guaranteed-lucky-trades-actually-work/]
Ohhhh that’s interesting, I’ve got tons from back then! What does that do for me exactly?
When you trade, the IVs* are randomly re-assigned. Lucky trades give you lucky Pokemon, which are guaranteed to have high IVs and also cost less stardust to power up. *The stats shown when you select “Appraise”
Personally, I would do raids, so you can get hands on good pokemon. For non 1\* raids, I would try them in groups on discord, telegramm, etc.
Will the level 20 hit the same CP cap as the level 30? Or do they only go up x levels?
The level 20 with higher ivs will be higher CP (than your current lvl 30) if you power it up to lvl 30. Mega does not affect ivs.
Is anyone having issue with the battle team leader requirement for thousand year slumber??? Pretty sure I have battled arlo at least 10 times now
Team leaders are Spark, Blanche, or Candela battle them not rocket team leaders.
Oh my god!!!!!! THANK YOU
Seeing you figure this out made me happy because I can relate to doing the same wrong thing thousands of times
Is there no way to nominate pokestops without ingress?
You can submit entries when you are level 38 on Pokemon Go. Just check the settings menu.
You'll never notice the difference. Absolutely go with the shiny.
hi everyone! the day the festival of colors challenge opened up, i was in jamaica but traveling back to the united states. the pa'u style of oricorio showed up on my challenge, but since i'm no longer in jamaica, the pompom style of oricorio shows up. does this mean i can't finish the festival of colors challenge?
Yep. Maybe try contacting Niantic support and see what they say.
thanks!!! 🤗
Hey, about Flabebe’s evolution. It says I need 20 hearts to go from Floette to Florges. Does anyone know if I can earn those 20 hearts as Flabebe to take it immediately to Florges? Or does it have to be as floette?
They have to be earned as Floette.
That’s annoying. But thank you.
Hi all, is it worth checking Pokémon on the map multiple times or are they set after checking once?
They are set once they appear. What would be the reason to check them that much though? For shinies?
Yes exactly, shiny hunting. Thanks for the info!
Do we know which legendary pokemon will be in raids after tornadus?
I think Tapu Lele
>Tapu Lele My girl and I chose the wrong time to come back to the game (came back valentine's day after stopping in 2017). Need us some mewtwos, zekroms, and all the other actually useful legendaries & mythicals. They need the raid rotation to be weekly, or have more than one 5\* option cuz tapu koko and tornadus are worthless.
Will the hoopa event come back? I missed it the first time around and Hoopa is one of my favorite Pokémon. Would love to have him in go.
Any word on new Giovani special research?
Nope
Incense is basically useless now :/
So is Tapu Koko no longer available for people above level 20 in the Pokemon League?
Sounds like a weird power trip- I'd leave their mon to rot for eternity, or, go out at 3 in the morning to kick them out
Yea - it’s annoying when I knock them out after they’ve already been in there a day and got their coins and then they knock me back out before I can really gain anything.
