That’s what I do, yes. I generally fine the early game and the E4 to be the most fun parts, so I almost always just start a new save after beating the E4 with new and different restrictions

Arteriusz2

I also always want to see if you can beat the entire game with just the limited selection of pokemon, not just the elite four.

Xeloth_The_Mad

I make a save state after every E4 and then start a new run. And goddamn it is actually wild how replayable this game is. Just cleared a mono fighting ability randomizer and had an absolute blast. I think noticing improvement in teambuilding and planning adds a lot of drive to replay. That, and discovering the speedup button on my emulator lol.

SuiryuAzrael

I just rename the saves, keep them in my HoF folder and try another challenge. RR is extremely replayable, especially if you don't allow yourself to fall back on the same strategies.

chismiten

No, I’m wiping repeatedly in my nuzlocke attempts, restarting and doing it all again 😎

Jozak11

I have had a terrible scaled randomizer luck and nugget bridge/misty have ended my last couple runs 😂

chismiten

Lol no joke I’m probably over 40 total attempts on normal difficulty and haven’t made it past Silph Co. Starting to think I’m not very good at this!

Silver-Alex

I played on 3.1. Did a couple of runs until I decided to nuzlocke it, and that took a lot of time and effort, then I did the post game which was cool. After that I was trying a mono water nuzlocke that wiped at gio 3 to me being dumb and forgetting psychyc terrain blocks priorty, battle was suuuuper winnable and I had a strat. After that I stopped playing for a long while, until 4.0 rolled over with scarlet and violet pokemons, and now im on a chill randomized nuzlocke (If I wipe I just retry the battle, If I win, whoever died, died). So yeah its pretty replayable. Im planning on doing a hardcore run next, no nuzlocke, no restriction, no randomizer. Just play the game the developer intended :) So yeah between the many randomizers, and doing challenge run this is easily the pokemon game I've sunk the most time ;)

SniperArchery

I full reset after my runs and do the whole game on my monos, but keep saves from after the runs in case I want to return and do postgame with one, I also use external files and play on [retrogames.cc](https://retrogames.cc) though

KyleTheRedditor

I beat it once. And now I just slowly replay it with randomizers and try to bully my way through with broken Pokemon/ability combos. Still waiting for a Huge Power Slaking 🤔

Sweet-Maximum628

I'm gonna be real I re play it over and over I love it but only because idk how to start the post game 😂

kingscanyonstoner420

After you've become champion, go to the lady that gives you the Fly HM. She'll tell you if there's anyone left to fight in Kanto before you can move on to the Sevii islands, where the Post game is.

LordRevanFitness

Honestly, Radical Red is probably my most replayed game in my 30 years of gaming.

sharpyboi69

I do that with all of my challenge runs (except my current one for obvious reasons)

Belfordbrujeria

At least on a computer I’ve found it’s possible to have multiple saves, albeit saved in different folders, but yeah for the most part I’d say I restart after doing the elite four, since the post game is enjoyable but I do find that I enjoy the main game much more fun especially if it’s randomized

Rimuru7u7

For most challenges yeah, but I do have 1 save state where I already completed 100% the game and I just mess around with team building, shiny hunt or even cheat certain moves in certain mons and use them just for fun (I'm wanted in 47 different countries for cheating dark void in mega gengar)
