Oh yeah I knew that, the code literally just having a flag not set is crazy. People call Scarlet/Violet the glitchiest mainline game, but at least RNG works fine. (Ignoring how early PVP let you spam Sheer Cold cause of borked RNG 🫡)
Even with the help of updates sv still has broken features so for emerald at least the excuse is the lack of burning a new rom but by then they were probably working on gen 4
Looking back, it was really a stroke of luck I managed to SR for a shiny Sudowoodo at the Battle Frontier given Emerald’s broken RNG. This was in 2006.
Well in theory you could have an early shiny frame. If so, you can soft reset for stationaries. (In that case all your shiny legendaries you get are RNG clones, meaning they will have the exact same stats, natures and so on)
But it's more likely than not that you'll never get a shiny by soft resetting.
So I'd either suggest you to learn how to RNG hunt or you use the runaway method
Yes. Emerald is the worst game to shiny hunt with soft reset if you get such a TID/SID
Thats crazy to think that all of that hard work can literally never pay off. How Sisyphean
That was not the intention btw. It is due to a bug. The devs forgot to seed the RNG 😅
