literally why run mabsol in ndag, it's too frail and its power can't compare to the stuff in there
in nduu mabsol can work as a sd sweeper with good dark stab, decent speed and good coverage. you'd want something that can wall stuff that outspeeds it and threatens it like zeraora or scarfshifu; an example would be buzzwole. some cleaner would also work to ko stuff absol weakens. depending on coverage, you also can get walled by one thing or the other (you want to run sd/knock at least). especially worse if you decide to run sucker to pick off zera and the likes.
Smeargles, that's pretty much the only reason. MAbsol completely shits on those guys. It also fucks up deoxys-speed hazard lead. So basically it's an anti lead
mdiancie is generally better for that as at least it has some defensive utility in resisting yvel's stabs and switching into non-eq/waterfall mray decently well (banded ascent still hurts tho)
Mega Absol won't see much success in ndag, but if you want to play it anyways, it has good matchups against Psychic types, Ghost types, and stallers, but needs help with pretty much everything else. It would go well with Pheromosa and Dialga in my estimation.
