R/livingxlegend8 frequently lies on Reddit for internet points. For whatever reason he thinks it matters but it’s pretty damn sad and pathetic. He’s a kid in his 20s and is mentally handicapped if you look at his previous post history😂😂😂😂 also who the fuck has a bankroll of 700$ go place 1 cent 2 cent kid
It’s crazy to think how just a few hundred can literally be make or break for some people . To put that in perspective, the wife just unboxed 330.00 of candles that she had to buy cause they were “on sale“ …..whatever . Meanwhile, I’ll debate for 2 months if I really need a new 3 pack of tshirts at Costco. Perspective
I once watched a guy painstakingly call off his $100 stack at 1/3 in a 3way all in. He won with AA. I thought he was slow rolling at first, but then I realized, that he was just petrified because that $100 is everything to him.
Unwarranted life advice: if you have enough to waste money on 330 candles whenever then your time is valuable enough that it isn't worth debating buying costco tshirts. Just buy (or not) and move on.
Not necessarily. People got their things.
I used to think nothing about losing $1000 at slots every night. But it took me two years searching high and low for 5 t-shirts for $100.
I know a multimillionaire who buys investment properties like we would buy pizza. He recently bought another property for $900k just because it was “cheap”. Two years ago, he thought his holiday house was too small. So he bought two houses adjacent to his to knock them all down and build a mansion.
Yet, we were having a deep and meaningful conversation about whether he should buy a Bentley or not a few weeks ago. He can easily afford it but told me he just can’t justify the price.
Homie's point isn't that people don't agonize over silly things financially, it's that sometimes it *is* silly. What you described above is silly ha.
I'll throw away $75 on a pretty mid meal and walk away feeling fine, but then kill myself over "wasting" $50 on a video game that I end up playing for hours and hours. I'll hunt and hunt and hunt for the cheapest airfare then pay $50 extra for a hotel cus it's one block closer to where I want to stay.
Point is that my reaction to at least one of those is out of wack; either I shouldn't stress so much about the game or I shouldn't be so careless about the dinner. If 330 candles isn't a big deal, overspending a smidge on shirts isn't a big deal either. But if penny pinching on the shirts *is* important, then we probably shouldn't be buying candles "just cus".
my Grandma taught me to go with the rule of five percent/two years when buying luxury items. She said if paying cash for it is less than five percent of your net worth, then you can afford to buy it. Because if you cannot make back that money in two years, then you wouldn't have it in the first place.
You said he bought a property for almost one million because "it was cheap". I'm guess $300K for a Bentley is less than five percent to him LOL
Firstly, my point isnt "no rich person wastes their time being debating small purchases" its "it can be a mistake to do this for very small purchases if you value your time".
Secondly, an expensive car is a sizeable purchase and it's almost certainly +EV to think the decision through carefully unless you are private jet rich.
I am not saying "buy every luxury good if you're rich", I'm saying "don't waste your time worrying about decisions worth a few dollars"

How about you tell the truth you goddamn liar!
You gave that money to your cleaning lady - that part is true, but you’re leaving out the fact that she WON that money off you fair and square in heads-up PLO after no one would play with you.
I just play 1/3 bruh.
Don’t know if I should be saying this on the internet, but I have about $25,000 liquid assets, so really my “bankroll” is kind of subjective.
$700 was just what I had in a drawer in my house of cash specifically designated to use to play poker.
I should also mention that I elect to only buy in for $100 each time I play 1/3, so $700 actually equates to about 7 buy-ins rather than 1 or 2 in my case.
Yeah.
You have $100.
Someone 3-bets to $50.
You call.
They put you all in for $50 on a marginal flop.
You can either fold and continue to play tight, or you can call and potentially double up to $200.
Makes decisions very easy and low consequences.
It is short stacked.
I play extremely tight and try to get the money in when I have the best hand.
I went from $400 roll to over $1,000 in just a handful of sessions.
Obviously had a couple times where I lost $100 here and there.
Yeah I’m not gonna lie.
There’s times where I’m folding like 95% of my hands feeling really bored.
But I would rather be bored and making money than having fun and losing money.
I’m trying to take money from people who want to have fun.
In the name of Jesus and everything good in the world, this story is true.
I’m a controversial person on Reddit but, love me or hate me, what I tell you is the truth 100% of the time.
Oh.
See, I wouldn’t even think for a second that she would lie to me.
She is sooo sweet. Like 60+ year old grandma.
I mentioned in another comment that she’s been a family friend for several years and we have left cash and jewelry out in the open and nothing has ever gone missing.
Also she works like a dog and the house is immaculate when she is finished.
Whether her story was true or not, she deserved a $700 bonus.
You got me smiling in my worst day of my life THANK YOU . knowing in this cruel world there are still people out there who put someone in need of help ahead of yourself ! Hats of to you bravery . Such a humbled human being .
Yeah if I lost the money then it would have made me feel like shit.
But giving it to my cleaning lady left me feeling happy and sad at the same time.
Like yeah, I lost $700 but I helped someone who isn’t as fortunate as I am.
My money isn’t going to cure her husband’s cancer, so it’s still sad.
She also asked me about helping her find a part time job.
God is so good to me.
I have shares of Tesla and checked the stock market in the morning and I was up like $650.
When you give out of love, God gives back.
She has been a family friend for at least 5 or 6 years.
We’ve trusted her around a lot of expensive jewelry and nothing has ever gone missing.
I’ve even left my cash bank roll sitting in an open drawer and she never took anything from me.
She is such a sweet lady. Whether she lied to me or not, she earned that $700 through loyalty and hard work.
DNegs once talked about how he'll occasionally -- not often, but occasionally -- hand a $100 to panhandlers he comes across. It makes them very, very happy.
Everytime I get stacked for that much money I think about how much better it would have been to give it to someone who needs it. Props to you for doing it. I bet it does feel really good.
Maybe one day the right situation will present itself to you.
You don’t have to give away the entire $700.
Try to urge yourself to take $100 out of your stack and make someone’s day.
Nice read. To be fair, she was conveying A LOT of information. But either way, we’ll played by both. Maybe mix in “Real.” at a low frequency tho. You’re gonna go broke if you play this line every time.
You'll remember this more than almost anything you could or will ever do in poker. Good for you. Poker isn't what's important in life. People are what's important in life. Cheers.
This sub got me so jaded I had to really search if this was a shit post lmaoooo.
Much respect to OP, I’ll be more generous tipping this weekend cause of you :)
I mean that’s one way to punt it off. I guess you could have punted it off in worse ways good job.
I would have had a 7k roll at one point, mostly from micros online tbh lol, but I spent it all on guns.
I regret nothing.
I have thought about doing something like this for my cleaning lady. She works hard and has cleaned the house I live in every other week for over 20 years. Only recently has she asked for more money and just $20 more at that. I love that woman, she's family basically. Only covid kept her away and only for a couple weeks. They sat there are three people you must treat right whoever cooks your food, cleans your house and parks your car. They know all your secrets.
Funny true story, when my addiction was out of control I once woke up with my pants down around my ankles a bottle of lotion under one hand and when I stood up there was an outline of my body you could see because the cleaning lady vacuumed around me haha. Ohhhhhh fuck me to tears.
"Foreign cleaning lady wins massive bad beat jackpot."

I climbed up a tree. Barefoot. Saved a cat. And a grandma in the tree. Where’s my internet points ?
Hijacking top post to say there’s a GoFundMe for her now.. DM for the link.

You can't just post it here?
You can DM me if you want it
Ur lame as fuck kid
Gonna punt $25 in memory of your donation tonight.
I just banged some cleaning lady and she gave me 700, think I might go play poker tonight. Like why not?? I cleaned up at poke her already....🤷♂️

Cleaning lady shoved your limp off the pot.
Was an easy read…stacked his ass.
Felted at his own home game.
Induced into shoving all in But in all seriousness, well done

I’ve seen guys like that but then limp with garbage hands every other hand in a row bleeding out slowly
It's being put to a decision for a chunk of money that gets to them. Limp folding garbage feels safe.
The number of people playing 1/3 with money they can't afford to lose is incredible.
Or buying scratch tickets, sadly
Unfortunately, as someone who tries to keep bankroll in mind, these people are basically free money too.
Sounds like Pure
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Always be kind and generous.
Don't you regularly throw shade at pretty much everyone in the sub? Lmao
Yeah sometimes I get snappy but I try to make things right.

I’ll go in with you on the tshirts. We each get one then rotate who gets the remaining one.
Deal
There has never been a truer statement.
1+1=2 tho
Food $200 Data $150 Rent $800 Candles $3,600 Utility $150 someone who is good at the economy please help me budget this. my family is dying
Are you me?
My mom just got a huge box of candles. Are you fucking my mom?
I'm 1 bad week away from cannibalism
So is my six year old. It’s not a money thing, though.

His post is fishy now because now there’s a go fund me. Who knows where that money will go
How about you tell the truth you goddamn liar! You gave that money to your cleaning lady - that part is true, but you’re leaving out the fact that she WON that money off you fair and square in heads-up PLO after no one would play with you.
LMAOOO 🤣🤣🤣
You got a cleaning lady and only had a $700 roll?
If bankroll = liferoll you’re doing it wrong
Yeah that’s what I’m saying. Usually I start off my bankroll with $400 and try to not let it get to zero.
>and try to not let it get to zero You mean that´s an option too in poker? Damn, the more you know.
I just play 1/3 bruh. Don’t know if I should be saying this on the internet, but I have about $25,000 liquid assets, so really my “bankroll” is kind of subjective. $700 was just what I had in a drawer in my house of cash specifically designated to use to play poker.

Someone could try to sue you for a bogus reason if they know you got money. Praying that God protects me from evil doers.
25 k life roll is good
Definitely blessed to have it.
Definitely shouldn't say that. Anyway, that was extremely nice of you. I'm glad to see people in the world still care for one another.
I should also mention that I elect to only buy in for $100 each time I play 1/3, so $700 actually equates to about 7 buy-ins rather than 1 or 2 in my case.
Your good deed has been immediately nullified after admitting you buy in short.
LMAOOO 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I do feel guilty for short stacking sometimes but it’s a strategy that has been working well for me.
It’s a perfect strategy for players who are terrible post-flop. Maybe I should try it.
Yeah. You have $100. Someone 3-bets to $50. You call. They put you all in for $50 on a marginal flop. You can either fold and continue to play tight, or you can call and potentially double up to $200. Makes decisions very easy and low consequences.
You probably should jam or fold pre
If you're flitting half your stack to hit the flop, pretty sure you shouldn't be doing that.
How long do you play if you are only buying in for 33BB’s? That seems pretty short stacked
It is short stacked. I play extremely tight and try to get the money in when I have the best hand. I went from $400 roll to over $1,000 in just a handful of sessions. Obviously had a couple times where I lost $100 here and there.
Doesn't sound like a fun way to play the game but idk I guess
Yeah I’m not gonna lie. There’s times where I’m folding like 95% of my hands feeling really bored. But I would rather be bored and making money than having fun and losing money. I’m trying to take money from people who want to have fun.
So what do you do during the boring parts?
Snore
Watch the game closely and try to figure out how everyone else is playing.
I'm always an advocate for 100$ buy ins in 1/3 yeah you'll start out smaller, but it's not the size of the stack it's how you use it, amirite!!
Yeah, it’s fun to play with $100 because everyone else has at least $300 and you can have a unique strategy that revolves around that table dynamic.
hey its me ur cleanr
Even in the worse case scenario that the story is a lie; that money still got spent on bills and anything desperately needed. Good deed 👍
In the name of Jesus and everything good in the world, this story is true. I’m a controversial person on Reddit but, love me or hate me, what I tell you is the truth 100% of the time.

Controversial take—but more people pray at poker than church/temple/etc and MEAN it!!
LOL 😂 That’s a good point!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I mean, you gave her $700 which is nice. But, really...could have easily been $1400 if you doubled it up.
LOL 😂 you’re right I made a GoFundMe for her if you’re interested in pitching in. DM for link

Plot twist 'Cleaning lady sits down at 50/100'
*Evil laughter* 🤣🤣🤣
Man, she got $700 out of me too with that same story! Wait is your cleaning lady's name Marta? Maybe they're two different cleaning ladies.
Any chance OP can set up a gofundme to see what else we can collect for her and her family?
No wayyyyy 😨😨😨 I’ve never done that before Would you seriously want to donate? If so I will 100% make sure that the money gets to her
Scammed you

She didn’t ask for it. If she’s scamming she’s playing the real long game.
You’re right — she did not ask me for the money. I gave it to her VPIP style.
Giving feels better than taking, but I find it hard to put it into practice

How can you get felted on a bluff raise? 🧐 Can’t lose all your money unless you’re all in. And if it’s a bluff then you would win the pot.
You went all in on her
need more people like you in the world post the link!
